Like Charles said, I'm not going to be able to tell how TWW compares to the other games in the series. So far, though, I think I'm liking TWW about as much as I liked OOT when I first played it. Maybe a little more. As for how it compares to A Link to the Past/Four Swords (my current favorite in the series), so far, I don't like it as much. Like I said, though, I'll have to wait till I finish it to really compare the two. The thing with me, though, about the graphics, is I don't really notce how the graphics look most of the time. Like when I first played Metroid Prime, I had to get all the way to the Chozo Ruins before I realized "Hey, the graphics in this game are really dang good!" The same thing happened with TWW. I had to get into the first dungeon and see those giant pillars of flame shooting up from the lava pits to really realize how good the graphics are. Once I did realize that, however, I started looking around in the dungeon and outside, and I started to realize more and more just how amazing some things look. Like the lighting effects, and the effects of the wind when your outside. (I really like how Link's hat actually flaps in the direction the wind is blowing). I have to say, I think this is the best looking game in the series yet.

Whee, I got into the first dungeon today! (Didn't have time to finish it, though). I have to say, they've done a really good job on the game, but so far, I still like A Link to the Past/Four Swords more. I don't know if it's just because I'm only in the first dungeon--and I'm hoping this is the case--but all the enemies seem really easy. I think that, so far, is the biggest thing I don't like about TWW. (Though even that isn't really a big deal).

There aren't any SNES games in Animal Crossing, only NES games. I don't know what he's talking about, but you can't get SNES games in AC, I know that.

Booyah! I've got it! I've only gotten to Windfall Island (hence my location, heh), but I've loved it so far. I also got to play as Tingle for a bit, when my friend came over and played it. It's fun to drop Tingle Bombs on things, heh. Probably won't play it again till tomorrow, though, since I'm determined to beat Ocarina of Time Master Quest, hopefully tonight. All I have left to do is go through Ganon's Castle, so I should be able to do that tonight if I can keep myself from just playing TWW instead. :cross: Yeah, go ahead and play it in your progressive scan mode, Semjaza. Live it up, while I'm using an old crappy TV that looks like it's from the 80s, has a jumpy picture, and has freaking MONO SOUND! :grumble:

Well, in the original The Legend of Zelda, you get the Triforce of Wisdom and the Triforce of Power, though the Triforce of Courage isn't in that one. And at the start of Oracle of Seasons and Oracle of Ages, it shows you walking up to the Triforce in a castle (probably Hyrule Castle), so it's kind of like you have it.
Originally posted by vegeta rocker I like ps2 but some of the titles aren't for kids.
Lol, and every GCN game is? The also GCN has some titles that aren't for kids, you know. Try going to the Game List feature on www.nintendo.com and look down the list of GCN games. You'll find there are a decent amount of mature and teen games. And some E rated games aren't for kids, either. Super Mario Sunshine was pretty dang hard in some parts for me, let alone a little kid.

Um, hiachi, I already answered that question when you asked it the first time. Then I asked one, and you answered it, so now it's your turn to ask a question again. :whoops: And about the Game Boy question, yeah, it may be easy if you know a good amount about the GB, but the bitrate of the GB was never really mentioned much. That, and it wasn't answered first try, so it must not have been that easy. :p
Originally posted by SpyderDragon If you still need that I have it. Only one problem...my cube is broken. Hmmmmm, maybe I can go to a friends to do that.
That was posted back in, um, October 2002... He probably has it by now, if he's been playing. :cross: I have all of the Modern series and Chess theme now, though, so I'm not really looking for anything in particular anymore. If you're registered on AC Central you can see my wish list, though, which has almost everything that I don't have on it. :p

Pearl SP? What's that one look like? Is it like a shiny white-ish, or something? And bleh, if I can't have black, I guess I will just get platinum, then. I think platinum goes with the new design a lot better than the original, though, so it's not that bad. :)

Well, I have a pre-order at GameStop, so I'm not worried about not being able to get a copy, I'm just saying that it might be hard to find a copy without one. And with OOT, yes, I did go the day after it was released, but I went in the morning, like, during school hours. (One of the plusses of being home schooled, heh). You're right, though, it does seem like places order more games now. When I went to pick up SMS and Metroid Prime/Fusion, they did have quite a few copies just sitting on the shelves. It probably also helps that the GCN doesn't use cartridges, which I would think take longer to make, so they wouldn't be able to get as many out.
-
Personally, I wouldn't be surprised if everywhere sold out on the first day that they have it. It was like that with Ocarina of Time. You pretty much had to have a pre-order if you wanted a copy from the first shipment of games. I remember I tried going around looking for a copy the day after it came out, and I couldn't find one anywhere. I had to wait a few days for the next shipment to come in.

Yeah, that's pretty much it. They're like, about three times as big as Skullfish, and when they bite you, they drag you around in the water for a couple seconds before letting go. (And of course, you get hurt during that time, heh). They're actually one of the more rare enemies in the game. There's maybe one or two in the Pirates' Fortress, and the same for the Great Bay Temple. Haven't seen any more elsewhere.

The official release date was the 24th, but most stores aren't selling it until the 26th. This happens with lots of games. I'm hoping I'll be able to get my copy tomorrow. I'll just have to wait and see if all the old stuff I have to sell will be worth the $30 I need. (I was going to sell the stuff to get a GBA SP, but since my brother hasn't paid me yet, I figure I'll just use the money to get The Wind Waker, and then use the money he owes me to get a GBA SP when he pays me).

To black out text, put [spoiler] tags around the text. So, [spoiler]this is a spoiler
would produce this:
this is a spoiler

Originally posted by hiachi ???? I posted a question........where is it???
Dunno. If a post doesn't show up, though, trying posting it again. You can always just delete one of them if it wasn't displaying the original post at first, and it ends up being a double post.
Originally posted by G/S/B Master Hey! How come my question was skipped?
Because no one answered it for a long time, meaning that, probably, no one knows it. That means no one was going to post the answer, which in turn means that a new question needed to be asked.

That's it, I'm closing this. There have been too many people that've replied and barely, if at all, given reasons why they like the Pokémon they do. Thread Closed

Oh, sure, just go ahead and exclude me. I know when I'm not wanted. I'll just be over there in the center of the room... *sniff* :( I think I actually asked that question before, though, but I'm not sure. There've been way too many questions to keep track of them all. *wishes you could do searches in threads and not just forums*

Answer: The Kokiri's Emerald can be seen on Deku Shields. The Goron's Ruby can be seen around in Goron City, and on your Goron Bracelet. The Zora's Sapphire can be seen on that thing hanging from the ceiling behind King Zora's throne. That good enough? Question: What was the first Zelda game to be remade?

Question: Link's Awakening features the first three (Light World) bosses in A Link to the Past as either bosses or mini-bosses. What are they, and where do you fight each of them?

The GameStop store in my town has it right now! In fact, they had it half an hour ago, as of 7:00 PM! But AAAAARRRGH!!!!! I don't have the money! My brother owes me $50, but he hasn't paid me yet! GAH! Bah, I wonder if one of my other brothers can loan me the $30 I need to get it... :twitch:

Answer: Kjata is Fire/Ice/Lightning/Earth elemental. Question: In FFIV, what are the names of the two airships that you get, and which is which?

The GameStop store in my city will give me $35 for my GBA and $15 for my GBC, and then I have some old GBC games and accessories that I don't need anymore, so I'm hoping it'll all add up to enough to get a GBA SP. And if not, I have about $20 more that I could put towards it, so I'm pretty sure I'll be able to get one. I got to play a demo unit at Wal-Mart a few days ago, and I loved it. Even in one of those annoying metal case things, it was still just as comfortable as the original GBA, and I actually like the L and R buttons more than on the original. Just like I was hoping, they push down a little farther, and with the way I hold the system, I'm still pushing the buttons with the same part of my fingers as I do with the original. I didn't even notice that they were smaller until I actually looked down at them. Also, while playing Metroid Fusion (the game on display with it), I wasn't getting the L and R buttons mixed up for firingmMissiles and aiming diagonally. I don't know if I'm just finally used to it or if it was because I was more comfortable with the system, but either way it's a plus for me, heh. In short, everything I was worrying about turned out just as good or better than the original, heh. Can't wait to get one of my own and fire up F-Zero and Mario Kart on it, to give those L and R buttons a real test. Oh, a quick question: Does anyone know if they're going to bring out a black version of the SP? I'd seen pictures of a black GBA SP before it came out, but I've only seen platinum and cobalt blue in the ads and stores. I really want a black one, though if they aren't making them, I suppose I'll have to settle for platinum.

Well, the original The Legend of Zelda was the first of its kind, so yeah, Zelda is kind of in a league of its own. It was the first to have an overworld that you could just explore, with dungeons that you could go to whenever you felt like it (and not be a full-blooded RPG, that is). So yeah, it kind of started off the action/adventure genre.

Heh, yeah, lots of Wind Waker banners and avatars popping up. (By the way, I love your dragon one, Ginny). ^_^ Yeah, I've read about a bunch of different stuff you can use Tingle for, and how you need it to do certain bits of the game. Now I'm really glad I bought a GCN - GBA Link Cable. I can't wait to play as Tingle while my friend is playing on his game. :D
