Originally posted by Lan21013 There isn't cuz they aren't allowed. Hahahaha, if only you knew ...
Please let me and the other moderators do our jobs. Replying to spam is in itself spam, just so you know. If you really want to help out, you can use the "report this post to a moderator" button down in the bottom, right hand corners of posts. Really, favorite threads such as this are not against the rules in and of themselves, it's the spam that they usually create. If people actually give decent reasons why they like whatever Pokémon that they do, this thread can continue on fine. If people start replying with posts like "I like [insert Pokémon name here], because they're really cool!" then his thread is either going to get closed or deleted.

Well, as for the legendary Pokémon being in the new games, I'd assume you'd at least be able to get some of them, and then trade with other people to get the rest. Dunno, though, but I wouldn't think they'd just not let you get all of the Pokémon. About Mew and Celebi, I'm guessing that they won't. Nintendo will probably just stick to giving them out as part of special contests and things, but you never know. Celebi was in the Japanese versions of G/S, so maybe they'll include it in R/S.
3. *gives Ginny the look that Link has in my avatar* ...Yes, he got it right, you have to use it in the very first room of the Fire Temple, and also one or two other places within the dungeon, since you don't have Fire Arrows at that point. Ask your question, Ginny. *runs after her with an inflatable Biggoron's Sword*
4. Yes, reserve The Wind Waker and get the pre-order bonus disc! Ocarina of Time is one of the best Zelda games so far, and Master Quest if even better, especially if you've played the original OOT before. That way, you're expecting it to be one way, but then it's different, and it really makes you think about new ways to do things in the dungeons. Heck, I've been thinking about going back and playing the original OOT on the disc, after I finish OOT Master Quest, just because of how different Master Quest is in the dungeons and because I haven't played the original very much in a long time. If you play through both games, you're going to get a lot of time out of the disc... And then you get The Wind Waker, too! It's like getting three games for the price of one! *bounces off the walls and explodes from the exitement* *cough* Um, yes, well... Have you tried Best Buy, while looking for SSBM? They seem like they usually have a pretty good selection of GCN games. That, and GameStop/Software Etc. Melee really is a great game, especially if you have friends to play multi-player with. Personally, though, I'd reserve The Wind Waker and get the bonus disc. Oh, and something you might consider... When you reserve a game, you can usually wait a couple months after it's been released, before the reservation expires. You might just put down the deposit to reserve The Wind Waker (it's only $5 at most GameStop stores), so you can get the bonus disc, and then buy SSBM, also. Then just don't pick up The Wind Waker until you have the money. And, even if the reservation does expire, you'd only end up paying about $5 for the bonus disc anyway.
5.
Originally posted by Charles Some of the fight scenes were a tad ridiculous and exaggerated though. I still don't like the idea of two people fighting in a school yard over a name....
Lol, I thought that was the best part of the movie. I went to see Daredevil on Valentine's Day with a friend, and I thought it was okay. True, some parts were really cheesey, but I just laughed at most of those. Overall, I thought it was decent, but then again, I barely ever watch movies.
6. No, no, I wasn't serious. Really, I wasn't... You have nothing to worry about...really. Just go about as normal. In fact, lets just pretend I never posted either of those previous posts, okay? You have nothing to worry about. OtakuBot won't delete your account, no matter how long you don't post for... Maybe... :toothy: Oh, and about Weh, staff aren't included, since they mod the board... I mean, they wouldn't be included, if this were real... Yeah... :shifty:
7. Answer: Well, the current number of known trophies is 290. There are 51 Event Matches, and you fight both Master Hand and Crazy Hand with only one life for Event Match 50. Question: In the original Metroid, how many missiles do you get from defeating Ridley or Kraid? (As in, how many do you get from beating one of them, not both).
8. Nope, it's before that. And it's not the same as in the original Ocarina of Time.
9. Answer to the bonus question: The three stones are the Kokiri's Emerald (Spiritual Stone of the Forest), the Goron's Ruby (Spiritual Stone of Fire), and the Zora's Sapphire (Spiritual Stone of Water). And yeah, you got it right, Cajones. Samus was injected with Chozo blood. Not sure exactly what for, but I assume it has something to do with the Power Suit's biological elements, and how it works with her body. *waits for another question*

Actually, there's only one thread (that's not closed, anyway) on this topic. It's the sticky thread up at the top of the forum that says, "Pokémon Ruby & Sapphire." :p But yeah, please look through at least the first page of existing threads to make sure one hasn't already been created on the same subject. You have no idea how many Ruby/Sapphire threads I've merged with this one, or just closed because there was arleady this one. As for which version I'm going to get, that'll probably be Sapphire, if I do end up getting one of them. Mainly because I like sapphires more than rubies, and because I think my friend is going to get Ruby. (He got Red before, when R/B/Y were out, so why not?) That, and the giant whale-looking Pokémon (forget the name) on the cover of Sapphire reminds me of the Wind Fish from Zelda: Link's Awakening, heh. :whoops:
11. Um...I think he was looking for an example of a paradox, not just things that change after the seven years have passed, or new things that he can do. Answer: I think the most obvious one would be when Zelda sends Link back in time to live through his childhood, after they seal Ganon in the Sacred Realm. If he's sent back, though, shouldn't all the events that happened when he was an adult, including Ganon being sealed away, not have happened yet? He'd have to do it all over again, over and over and over, because Zelda would just keep sending him back. He'd just be stuck in a continual loop. Question: In Ocarina of Time Master Quest, where is the first place that you have to use Din's Fire?
12. Character Name: Raifus Knil Anime Stereotype: Stupid Elf Boy Bio: Raifus is an elf, whom his parents adopted, and he has a strange obsession with wearing the color green. Though many wonder at his origins, no one asks, and no one tells, not even Raifus himself. And, being an elf, he has long, pointy ears, the tips of which stick up and out through his shoulder length, golden-brown hair. One can always tell when he's nervous or embarressed, because the tips of his ears turn red. Almost always at a loss for words (especially when talking to pretty girls), he tends to be rather clumsy when around people (especially pretty girls). He kind of wants to talk and get to know people better (especially pretty girls), though he can never work up the nerve. Because of all this, he tends to usually come off as a rather idiotic person (yes, especially to pretty girls). His grades, however, are fairly average, so he's not actually all that stupid. Powers: The ability to destroy and kill things by accidentally falling over onto them, dropping things on them, and other unintentional foul-ups. He can never seem to do anything on purpose and have it work, yet when he doesn't mean to do something, it usually works for some unexplained reason. Sworn Enemy: Anything that's easy to trip over.
13. Oh, yeah, we weren't supposed to tell them about it, were we? Dang...I mean, uh, I don't know, James. In fact, I don't even remember typing that. It must've been aliens. Yeah, um, that way it wouldn't have come from anywhere on earth. Yeah... :shifty:
14. OtakuBot is something to help keep the board from getting too big, with tons of old posts. What it does, is it goes through the entire OB members list once a month. If it finds a profile that hasn't posted in over a month, it automatically deletes the profile, and all of the person's posts. So, old posts are continually being deleted, making room for all the new ones. Just make sure you post at least once a month; otherwise, you're screwed. :p ;) :cross:
15. Well, introduction threads aren't really allowed. You can, however, just introduce yourself in other threads, as a sort of little side note. But yeah, I kinda have to close this... And if you want to change your avatar, just click the "Profile" text up on the banner. Then click "Edit Options" up on the toolbar, and scroll down to the bottom of the page. It'll show your current avatar, and below it, a button that says "Change Avatar." Click it, and you'll be brought to a page where you can choose from among four pages of preset avatars. If you want to use an avatar of your own, just scroll to the bottom of that page. There, you can either input the URL of the avatar, or, if it's not uploaded on the internet, you can search for it on your hard drive, and upload it to OtakuBoards by clicking the "Browse" button. When you're done, simple click the "Submit Modifications" button at the very bottom of the page, and you're done. Hope that helps. :)
16. I've already said I'm sorry that you're having to go through this over AIM... And, well, I don't really have too much to say that hasn't been said already. I've been praying for you off and on (yeah, I'm not exactly the best at remembering) ever since you were going through all that with your uncle dying. I just want you to know that I'm continuing, and hopefully a little more often from now on. One other thing, is that I've actually contemplated suicide a few times. The main thing that has kept me from coming even close to doing it, though, is not wanting to hurt my friends and family. I think the best thing you can do for your mom right now is to show her that you love her, and that she wouldn't just be hurting herself, she'd be hurting you and others, too, if she were to go through with it.
17. Yeah, look at Mario from the original Super Mario Bros... Mario in Super Mario World looks pretty good compared to that. (And I still prefer the look of most* sprites to the characters' 3D forms in the later games in the series). But yeah, Super Mario World is still my favorite game in the series. It's got fast paced platforming action, while still letting you go through the levels as slow as you want. (Well, to a certain extent, anyway, there is a time limit). It was also nice and long for a platformer (at the time, anyway), and had tons of stuff to do. Especially in the GBA remake, where it actually records whether or not you've gotten all the Dragon Coins in a level. Heck, though, I have fun just trying to see how fast I can get through certain levels. *Samus Aran is a definite exception, for Metroid Prime, heh.
18. Personally, I can't really see how you'd go about making the Metroid games into a movie. I mean, except for a bit in Fusion, there's barely any character interaction besides Samus blasting things. I can't see that making a very good movie. It sure hasn't made very good comics so far. (There are Metroid Prime comics in Nintendo Power, and they've been pretty boring so far). As for another 3D Metroid on the GCN, that would be absolutely wonderful. I loved Metroid Prime, and consider it to be one of the best games on the GCN. (Tied for best with the OOT/OOT Master Quest bonus disc, heh). As for changes to Metroid Prime... Yeah, there are a couple things I would change. First off, being able to costomize the control scheme would be nice. (I loved being able to change the controls around in Super Metroid). Like Semjaza said, it would be nice if you could turn a bit quicker, but I don't think that's a very big thing. In my opinion, the graphics were fine, even without being able to play it in progressive scan mode. (I think you've been spoiled by that, Semjaza, lol). Another thing that I'd like would be a wider variety of beam weapons. (I want my Spazer Beam, dangit!) :p And yeah, a bigger map would be nice. There were lots of places you didn't have to go in Super Metroid, but you got some cool stuff if you did. But really, I don't have any serious complaints with the game. It's an absolute blast to play. I don't have any doubt that I'll be coming back to play through it at least one more time, to get 100%. (I screwed up on my first time through, and forgot to scan one of the bosses, making it so I can't get 100%).
19. Indeed, Ginny is right, Yellow is based on the show, not the other way around. They made Yellow after most, if not all, of the first season cartoons had run, and they decided to include some things from the show. (And if you'll remember, Ash is one of the preset names you can choose at the start of Red and Blue; that name didn't come from the cartoon). So, Yellow is based of the anime, and the anime is based off of Red and Blue.
20. Well, there's another kind of blue soldier that charges you, which you find in the Hyrule Castle tower... But it's still blue, so yeah, that's right, there's red, blue, and green.
21. Well, I was pretty pissed off, since she was one of my favorite characters in the game up to that point. It made me really enjoy trashing on Jenova-LIFE afterwards, though, because I was pissed. After playing FFIV, where practically everyone but your end party dies, gets heinously injured, or just leaves, though, it wasn't all that shocking. Heck, even some of the members of your end party make you think they're dead, but then they come back, lol.
22. I prefer the GCN controller, too. After using the original PSX controller, which is basically the same as the PS2 controllers, my hands would start getting irritated from rubbing against it. The GCN controller doesn't do that, no matter how long I play. As for a GCN-to-PS2 controller adapter, I don't think there are any. All I've ever seen is PS2-to-GCN. Lets try to stay on topic, though, shall we? This thread is supposed to be about Capcom Vs. SNK 2: EO, not whether the GCN or PS2 or Xbox controller is best.
23. Ooh! I actually know this one, from watching my brother play it years ago, lol. Answer: It's Erdrick, isn't it? Or some variation on that spelling, anyway. Question: On which Nintendo systems has the game Doom appeared?
24. Well, there have been a few others, mainly rented games. But yeah, it's mostly been Zelda and FF. If I can scrape together enough money, though, I'll probably get Skies of Arcadia Legends for the GCN. Oh, duh, I totally forgot about Pokémon, lol. Between both Pokémon Yellow and Pokémon Gold, that'd probably add another 250 hours. Lets see, what else did I miss on my GB/GBC? Ah, yes, Pokémon Trading Card Game is kind of an RPG. Probably played that for about 15, 20 hours. Harvest Moon 2, probably about 15. Hmm, if I add it all up, then, that'd be... About 875 hours. And trust me, that number would be a lot higher, if I were able to afford all the RPGs that I've wanted to get but not had the money for. (And I still need to play Super Mario RPG and Earthbound).
25. If you can count the Zelda series as RPGs (I consider them more action-adventure, though), then it's got to be at least a few hundred hours. (Try 600, 650, maybe). If not, it's probably closer to 350, 400. Games besides Zelda that I can remember: Final Fantasy IV - Probably at least 50 hours for all the times that I've had to restart because of a dead battery. >_< Final Fantasy VI - Around 100, I think, for both times through. Final Fantasy VII - The clock stops at just below 100, but I must have played for at least 50 past that, plus another 70 going through again. So probably around 220. Final Fantasy IX - Probably 25 hours. Others that I can't remember off hand. - Probably another 30.
