I dunno, I have a hard time believing that they're actually more comfortable. I can see easier to use, though, if they made it so you can push them in farther, like the SNES and N64 shoulder buttons. That's the only thing I don't like about the GBA shoulder buttons; you can barely press them in at all. I've accidentely fired off a shell trailing behind me in Mario Kart: Super Circuit more times than I can count because I just barely moved my finger on the button, and it was let up ever so slightly, but still enough to fire the shell.

Yeah, I only noticed that after I actually went back and played the original SSB. I miss that, too. One other thing I'd do differently from SSBM would be getting rid of that big "Ready" and "Go" text that appears just before and just as a match starts. It's not at all necessary, and just makes it so you can't tell where you're starting out until the match has actually begun and the CPU characters are already swarming you.

You know the first thing that came to mind when I saw those pics? I thought, "Using the L and R Buttons is going to be a pain on that thing." I mean, sure, I can play a GBP or GBC fine, but you don't have shoulder buttons on those. With this new design, with your hands being closer together and all, it looks like you're going to be hitting the shoulder buttons with the base of your index fingers, instead of more towards the tip. Either that, or bend them way out, which would no doubt make them ache after a bit anyway. I think I'll stick with my normal GBA. First, because I've never really needed a backlit screen, and second, because I have better things to spend my money on... Such as actual GBA games, or a Game Boy Player, maybe.

Nope, not either of those. Arrghus' name was never even mentioned in the comics, actually. The other one is close, though.
-
Nope, it's not Agahnim or Moldorm. It's one of the Dark World dungeon bosses.

If I could direct your attention to this thread, you'll see there's already been some talk about this possible FFVII sequel. Thread Closed

Yeah, you go to the moon in FFIV... I dunno, in FFIX, does Terra count as a moon? If so, that's another one. I haven't played II, III, V, VIII, or X, though, so I don't know about those.

Yeah, they did a few seasons of the Super Mario Bros. Super Show. When SMB3 came out, they did some episodes with stuff from it, and some with stuff from Super Mario World, too, when it was released. I think they did away with the live action bits for the later episodes, thankfully. I think Nintendo show do a new series based on Super Mario Sunshine or something.

Yeah, I just heard about this too, in the latest issue of EGM, I think. I'm just wondering why you have to have a copy of Ruby or Sapphire to play it. I'm hoping it's not just something like another stadium game, though, with or without online play. I keep hoping for something like an MMORPG. I think that would suit the Pokémon series perfectly, considering that a big part of the games is supposed to be trading and battling with friends. With G/S/C, I never got to battle one live person with my team, because my friends only had Red and Blue. And of course, I couldn't battle them on Stadium 2, because they'd had Red and Blue so long that their teams were up around level 100, when my new team on Gold was around level 50... I'd love it if I were able to go online and trade and battle with people from all over, though.

You get Zelda: Ocarina of Time and Zelda: Ocarina of Time Master Quest (that's apparently what they're calling Ura Zelda now that it's actually being released) on the bonus disc, not Majora's Mask. The pre-order bonus isn't exclusive to just Electronics Boutique, either. You should be able to get the bonus disc no matter where you pre-order the game, it's just that Electronics Boutique and GameStop are the only places (that I know of) taking pre-orders right now. The official pre-orders start in February, which is when other places will start taking pre-orders, and also when we should be able to get the bonus disc.

It's spelled with a "u" in your version? Heh, are you sure part of the "o" didn't just get rubbed off or something? Answer: He says that he's a descendant of a master archer who was a knight of Hyrule. Question: In the same comics, they misspelled the name of one of the bosses in the game. What is the misspelled name in the comics, and what is the correct spelling of the name?

Heheh, I just read through those comics last night. Answer: The item is the Comm-Fork. It's also refered to as the Comfork a bit later in the comics, for some reason. I don't see why the name is nasty, though. It's like a tuning fork crossed with a comm system, hence the name Comm-Fork. (That "o" is not pronounced like a "u," lol). Question: In A Link to the Past (both the original and the remake), you can sometimes talk with someone besides Sahasrahla when you touch a Telepathy Tile. Who is the other person?

He said FFIV, Bremma, not FFVI... Answer: There are 12 characters in FFIV--Cecil, Kain, Rosa, Rydia, Edge, Cid, Tellah, Yang, Palom, Porom, FuSoYa, and Edward. Question: In FFIV, how do you turn the Legend sword into the Excalibur sword?
-
Yep, Valen got it right. One thing, though, is that there's no dash in the name. So, it's "Like Like," not "Like-Like," but bleh, it doesn't matter. Ask away, Etarah's Maverick. As for the messages being the same when you come back later, well, they're still helpful if you come back into a dungeon and have forgotten about some stuff.

Answer: I'm not sure if there's another way, but I always just dashed through them with the sword and Pegasus Boots and I never got hit. Question: In the A Link to the Past game in LTP/FS, there's a kind of enemy in the overworld that wasn't in the original LTP. Where can the enemies be found, and what are they?

Yep, that's right. No shock, they just die, heh. I love running around laughing at them as I kill them, after I get the Golden Sword. Ask a question.

Gaming has anyone noticed that the GBA died out?
Desbreko replied to stratigyless's topic in Noosphere
Like Semjaza said, the GBA is about as far from being dead as it can get. I saw some sales figures a while ago, and the GBA was selling more systems than any of the three home consoles. So, yeah, the GBA is alive and well, and it's actually my favorite system, too. There are reasons why GBA games are shorter than home console games, though. The biggest of which is space, I think. I mean, really, you're just not going to get nearly as much in one of those GBA cartridges as you are on a DVD. Heck, I just think it's pretty cool that one of those tiny little GBA cartridges can actually hold more than a SNES cartridge, which is probably over four times as big. As for the games not being exciting... Have you actually played any of the newer GBA games? Play Zelda: A Link to the Past, Metroid Fusion, Kirby, Super Mario World, Yoshi's Island, Castlevania, and others and tell me they aren't exciting. Personally, I think the GBA has a lot of the best games out right now. -
You might be able to find out how many blocks the Japanese version takes, and that'll probably be the same as the US version. I haven't heard the amount, though. I don't think it'll take more than about five blocks, though, since they seem to be getting better and better at making the save files smaller. Heck, a Metroid Prime file only takes one block for three saved games, so I don't think a Zelda file could be much bigger.
-
Nope, that's not it. It's pretty simple, really, though most people just never try it because they're so used to having to stun them with the Boomerang first, or something like that.
-
Yes, but people really should post a question if they're going to answer one. It makes it so the quiz keeps moving, and doesn't just stop because there's no question to answer.

It was dark in that small room at the top of the tower. A single candle was burning in a bracket on the wall, casting only enough light necessary to see by. The window was closed against the sunlight outside, and the door leading to the staircase outside the room was locked. Agahnim stood in the center of the room, and waited as a shadow was cast across the room. The candle dimmed, and went out, and then a voice spoke. Voice: Have you found it yet? The voice was deep, gruff, with a trace of a growl in it, and was enough to send a shiver down the spine of the bravest of the brave. That voice was the voice of Ganon, the King of Evil. Agahnim: Not yet, master. It cannot stay hidden for long, though. Ganon: Find it! Leave no stone unturned. Agahim: As you wish. Ganon: Are you aware of the latest so called "hero" that has set out against us? It seems he managed to survive the trap set for him. Agahnim: I seem to remember another young "hero" coming against me. Let him come; I shall crush him like I did the ones before him. He may be able to defeat Stalfos, but he is not even as powerful as Link was. Ganon: Very well. I will leave the matter in your hands. The shadow left, and the candle lit once again, giving off its faint light. Agahnim paced back and fourth in the small room, smiling evilly. Yes, let him come; he would enjoy watching him die. Agahnim: The fool! He has no idea what he's gotten himself into. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Not too far away, Drake and Lalia stood by the edge of the river, just east of the Graveyard. It was late afternoon, now, and it would be dusk in a few hours. They stood, watching the river flow, talking and eating a little. Drake: I'm sure she would be proud of you. You've done so well. Lalia: Thank you. I hope she is... What about you? Are you missing home, too? Drake: I...don't have much of a home. When Ganon invaded Hyrule, Kakariko Village was attacked, and both my parents were killed. I was in the Lost Woods, gathering some mushrooms when the village was attacked, so I avoided harm. When I came back, though, I found the village devastated, and my parents dead in our house. I've just been living by myself ever since. Lalia: I'm...sorry. Drake looked down at the bank of the river, remembering that awful day. The terrible images of his dead parents were forever burned in his mind. A single tear fell down to blend with the swirling waters of the river. Drake: I haven't talked about it for years. I just went on, determined not to let what happened to me happen to other people. That's why I became a warrior and protected the village. Now I'm going to make Ganon pay for what he did on that day. Drake looked back up, the sadness in his eyes replaced by rage. Drake: Our next destination is Agahnim's Castle. With my Magic Cape, I should be able to sneak in and find the Master Sword. Then I shall strike Agahnim down with it!

What's this? Ganondorf not that good? He's one of my best characters! ...Oh well, different people do well on different characters, I guess. I do think it would be cool to have both Ganondorf and Ganon playable. I think Ganon would be more suited to a seperate character, though, since Ganon would be much, much bigger (well, bulkier, anyway) and a lot slower. And he'd have to have his trident, too, otherwise it just wouldn't be complete. :toothy: I'm not sure that I'd like big combos in a Smash Bros. game, though. I mean, one of the main things that I like about the games is that they have simple controls and easy-to-use moves. That, and in the original SSB, you could still pull off some knarly combos if you were good. Heck, I'd get in some 10, 15-hit combos on Pikachu sometimes and get my opponant up to 50%, 75% without them touching me. So yeah, there should be combos, but you should have to be damn good to be able to pull them off very well, I think. (You know, the whole "easy to pick up and play, but hard to master," sort of thing). I don't like the idea of having super long combos that you only need to fill up an energy meter to use, though.

I'm not saying a more futuristic look to the game makes it worse, I'm just saying that I prefer the more medieval style. Heck, FFVII is my second favorite game in the series, and FFIX is one of my least favorite. I don't judge a Final Fantasy game by its graphical style, I just have a preference.

Answer: You fight them in the same order that you fight them throughout the game, I believe: Milon, Kainazzo, Valvalis, Rubicant. And another little bit of info, is that in the fight in the Giant of Bab-il, Rubicant doesn't ever close his cloak. Question: In FFIV, what enemy do you have to fight to get the Crystal Sword?
