Buying something in Japan and then bringing it to some other country or importing a copy from Japan is perfectly legal. (Man I wish I knew Japanese so I could import games). Downloading ROMs is illegal. Sorry if I caused any confusion.
-
...What? Are you talking about Gossip Stones? If so, where do you mean? ...The four Moon Dungeons? If so, there are a lot of Gossip Stones in the Moon Dungeons. I don't think anyone is going to get them all, unless they go back through them again.
-
Hmm, never had them say that for me. Only the first part. Weird. But yeah, you get a sword upgrade from him, and if you've already gotten the other sword upgrade, you get the Master Sword.
-
What, did you import a copy or find a ROM or something? Because it's not out anywhere but Japan (I think it's out in Japan, anyway). And just so you know, ROMs are illegal, if that's how you got it.

Answer: The ones I've talked to said "Tra la la, look for Sahasrahla. ... ... ..." Question: In Oracle of Ages, what upgrade does King Zora give you when you bring him the correct password from a linked Oracle of Seasons game?

Congrats, you made it in. I've updated the characters list, too. You can start posting any time.

Take a look at this thread in the Zelda forum to find a couple old pics from IGN that Smoky Joe posted.

Well, Nintendo actually isn't making arcade games again, kind of. Amusement Vision (A development house for Sega) is making the game, though I think Nintendo is publishing it. So, it's kinda border-line.

Lol, I was looking at his name, and I just had to ask that one, lol. Answer: His first name is Adelbert. Question: In FFVII, what Materia do you get from the Mako Spring in the Nibel Mountains?

Drake: Heh, I don't see any shame in being rescued by a girl. And you're not just any girl, either. Drake gave her another one of his wide grins before continuing. Drake: And besides, being a little embarassed is better than being dead any day. So don't worry about it. And besides, Kiln will need saving sooner or later, and two out of the other three people are girls. Drake wondered how Kiln would react, were he to be saved by Lalia. Probably see if he couldn't make me jealous of the attention, heh. The group walked on a ways farther, until they came to a small lake. By that time, it was nearing noon, and the sun was starting to feel just a bit warm. Around the edges of the lake was thick, green grass; something that they had not seen outside of Kakariko Village before. The group stopped in front of the lake, looking down at the water, reflecting the crisp blue of the sky above. It was one of the few pools that stayed clean, and suitable for drinking from. Down at the very deepest point, Drake thought he saw a darker blue light shining up from the bottom, coming in a slow, rythmic pattern. Weird. I wonder what it could be. Drake: This looks like a good place to take a break. How 'bout it?

I've got high hopes for this game. I got F-Zero: Maximum Velocity for the GBA when it came out, and I was still playing it until Mario Kart: Super Circuit came out. I hope they improve the turning, though. In Maximum Velocity, if you wanted to make it around some turns, you had to tap the accelerator button and/or use the left or right slide. I don't think you should have to tap the button. They should make it so you can get around the turns just normally, or with the slide. You shouldn't have to do something like tap the button. That just got annoying. I rented F-Zero X on the N64 back around when it came out, and didn't like it very much. Sure, the tracks were cool, but turning was a pain in the butt with the way the sliding worked. I just hope they don't make it like that in F-Zero GC. So yeah, if they do the turning and sliding right, I'll probably end up buying it. If not, well, it'll probably only be a one-time rental.

Yeah, I always just thought you couldn't see their face because of the shadow the heavy robe and hat makes, since they block most of their face. As for the glowing eyes, maybe that's a side effect of all the dark magical energy? Kinda like how in FFVII, being exposed to large amounts of Mako energy kinda made your eyes glow a bit.

Some of the spellings are a bit off, but hey, you knew the elements for each one, so whatever. :) Answer: Earrings, which raise a character's magic power, are more powerful when paired. Question: In FFIX, what is Steiner's last name?

Answer: It was the first Zelda game to be headed mainly by someone other than Miyamoto. I'd say that's pretty special. Question: In Oracle of Seasons, what are the true identities of the people traveling with Din at the start of the game, and where are they taking her?
-
Yeah, it's Brachosaur, or Brontosaur, or something like that. Not sure on the exact spelling. Answer: You get Economizers from them, which are relics that make every spell cost only 1 MP. Question: In FFIV, what are the names of the four Fiends?
-
Yep, it's 255. Each arrow costs one Rupee to fire, and you can carry a maximum of 255 Rupees, so, that means a maximum of 255 arrows. :)

Drake had to admit to himself that he had felt just a little pang of jealousy from Lalia being so concerned about Kiln. He knew it was foolish to think that she was interested in him, though; she was just concerned. He smiled at her as she walked up closer to him, and saw her smile back. He almost reached out to take her hand, but decided against it. I still only barely know her. Slow down before you make a fool of yourself. Instead, he opted to talk a bit. He moved in beside her, matching her stride, and whispered. Drake: You know what that was about? Lalia: Not a clue. He remembered his nightmares from the night before, and then the strange dream at the end. Could those two be related? ...Either way, I don't like how this journey is starting out. Drake: Hmm...well, I guess we'll just have to keep an eye out. Returning to a normal level of speech, he continued. Drake: So, have you been outside the village much? Lalia: Only a little bit. Mainly when I was little, before...the fall. Drake: Yeah...me too. I've been a little ways beyond the village when there are monsters near, but not very far. This is about as far as I've gone right here, in this direction. Drake gestured to a small, rundown house near the edge of the Lost Woods. Drake: A fortuneteller used to live there. Now, though, probably only rats do. Drake was wrong, however; something else lived there. Something much bigger and much more dangerous than a rat. It gazed out at them through cracks in the rotting wood the made up the walls, anxiousness in its greenish-yellow eyes, as the four of them neared the deserted house. Just as the four were at their closest point to the house, the thing leapt out the font door, heading straight for the closest person; Drake. He quickly turned as he heard its roar, and threw himself to the side, narrowly dodging its lunge. Rolling as he hit the ground, he came up with sword and shield drawn. It was a Wolfos, and it was circling him, waiting for an unguarded moment. Drake: Watch out, guys, these things can be nasty. Drake observed firsthand how nasty they are, as he just dodged another lightning-fast lunge, just barely managing to catch its claws on his shield as the beast flew by him. He took a swing at its tail, but missed. Drake turned to face it again, but this time it wasn't waiting for him. It lunged again, catching Drake in his unguarded side, knocking him to the ground, but he managed to dodge its claws and fangs once again. Just as Kiln was about to rush forward and stab the wolf's tail, a frigid blast flew past him and froze the beast solid, in a large block of ice. Drake was still laying there, shield raised in defense, wondering why nothing was trying to claw at his throat, when he slowly looked up and saw Kiln staring. He looked at where he was staring, and saw the frozen Wolfos. Obviously Kiln didn't get it. He looked to Ami, who had been trying to line up a good shot with her bow. That leaves... He looked at Lalia, and she blushed slightly. His gaze flicked down to the rod she was holding in her hands. It was a deep blue with a dark sapphire imbedded on its tip. It matched her eyes and dress perfectly. But that's not what's important right now. Get a hold of yourself. Drake slowly got up from his position on the ground, and glanced back at the frozen Wolfos to make sure it was still frozen. Drake: ...Lalia? She blushed a bit deeper, as she put away her rod. Drake: Is that an...Ice Rod? She nodded, giving him a nervous smile. Drake grinned back. Drake: Well, it looks like there's more about you than meets the eye. Now I'm really glad you're along! Lalia: Thanks. Kiln: Funny how she kept you safe, eh, Drake? Drake stowed away his weapons, as did the others, and blinked at the remark. Drake: That is kind of ironic. Just don't miss and hit me, okay? Drake gave Lalia another smile, and continued walking, dusting himself off after his encounter with the dusty path.

Close, but it's not 250. Almost, though.

So when the heck is this thing ending? I mean, there've been 83 votes, and I think it's pretty obvious who's going to win. And Flash, don't say you're never going to let them out. DON'T MAKE ME COME IN THERE! :naughty:

Yeah, Miming KOTR is cheap, but getting that many pieces of Counter Attack Materia takes a long, long time. I only ever had that many after leveling for God knows how long, after I had done everything in the game and I was just trying for three sets of Master Materia. I love doing that against Sephiroth, though. Takes him out in no time. And, uh, NeoC, take a look at the second paragraph of my last post. I mentioned that, lol.

Yep, the Scarecrow's Song is a combination of eight notes that you can make up. I always make it up, right, down, left, up, right, down, left, lol. Easy to remember. Answer: Aquamentus is a large, green dragon with a single horn on it's head, and it shoots fireballs in sets of threes, one heading straight out and the other two curving up and down, diagonally. It's the boss of Level 1 and Level 7 in The Legend of Zelda, and is also the boss of Level 1: Knarled Root Dungeon in Zelda: Oracle of Seasons. Yeah, I know, I know way too much about Aquamentus. It's one of my favorite bosses, though, mainly because of the name, lol. Question: Right, this one is a bit tricky. In the original The Legend of Zelda, what is the maximum number of Arrows that you can carry?

Before you fight Emerald WEAPON, make sure that you have a Final Attack Materia. Pair it with either Revive or Phoenix (though Phoenix is better). Then, when Emerald does it's super attack that does 9999 damage to everyone in your party, you'll instantly be back up at full health, and you'll do damage to it. (That is, if you pair it with Phoenix). If you don't do this, you'll have to have less than 9 Materia on at least one character, so that it won't do 9999 damage. The attack does 1111 damage for each Materia on a character, so if you have nine or more, it's an instant kill. Other advice: Mime KOTR over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over... And then repeat. :p

I think this has been done before, but not with the time limits, so whatever... Answer: Pocket Egg Cojiro Odd Mushroom - Time Limit: 3:00 Odd Potion Poacher's Saw Broken Goron's Sword Prescription Eyeball Frog - Time Limit: 3:00 Eye Drops - Time Limit: 4:00 Claim Check Biggoron's Sword Question: In Ocarina of Time, the Goron's Ruby was normally kept out in the open in Goron Village, before Darunia moved it. Where in Goron Village was it kept?

I pretty much know what I'm getting. My parents, grandparents, and other people are going together to get me a good leather jacket. The one I have now is getting too small for me, and I was just going to ask for money, so I figured that'd be a good present. (My mom doesn't really like giving people money, she prefers it if she can actually give a present). As for what I'm getting people, I got my mom a necklace, and my dad a gel seat cover thing for his bike. For my brothers, I got two of them a movie on DVD, and then I'm going to get my other brother some fingerless gloves, since he lost his old pair. For my grandparents, me and one of my brothers are going to go together to get them a gift certificate to Red Lobster, since they really like going there. Together, we'll be able to get them a $40 gift certificate, so they can really live it up, heh. I'm actually spending more on presents this year than any other year, come to think of it. I held off on buying Zelda: A Link to the Past / Four Swords, so I had about $10 to spend on each person. If I have any money left, I'm going to try and get my friends something.

Doomtrain? ...Do you mean the GhostTrain? If so, no. That's not in the overworld, and it doesn't use Ultima on you. If it did, it would be an impossible fight, seeing as how early on in the game that is. Oh, and Sage, the answer is Laviatan, which is in FFII on the SNES. :p
