I reserved my copy at Software Etc., which is pretty much the same as GameStop. (I think they're owned by the same company, or something). And yeah, you can reserve a copy at GameStop.com. I haven't heard anything about a release date for Europe. Probably sometime in summer, though, if it comes out in March over here.

Nope, not Level 6. It is in The Legend of Zelda, though.

Drake jumped slightly as someone tapped him on the shoulder, and turned around to see Kiln standing next to him. Drake: Kiln, hi. Thank Din, that was starting to get really awkward. Drake: What are you up to? Kiln: Just stopping in for a drink out of the storm. Drake: Ah, just what I was doing. The two walk back over to the table recently vacated by Drake, and sit down. Drake idly glances back over at the bar, and sees that Lalia has returned to tending to the customers. Kiln: Something going on with you two, eh? Drake: Well...not really. But... Drake trails off, wishing he didn't have to go off on this quest, wishing that he could just stay here, and maybe get to know Lalia better. Kiln: Maybe you should try talking to her next time. Drake: I doubt there will be a next time. Kiln: Oh? Drake: I'm leaving tomorrow. Alone. Kiln: Oh... There was a note of dismay in Kiln's voice, and Drake could tell Kiln had wanted to come with him. Kiln: But Sahasrahla said you shouldn't go alone. Drake: I know. I'm not going to lead my friends to their deaths, if I fail, though. If I succeed, maybe, just maybe... He glances back over at Lalia once again, and sighs. Maybe if I succeed, I'll be able to settle down and get to know her... If she hasn't forgotten about me by then... Assuming she's even noticed me at all. Drake: Look, I know you want to come with me. I don't want you to risk your life on something I'm not even sure about, though. Kiln: There you go, always helping me out. Kiln rolls his eyes and lets out an exasperated sigh. Kiln: Look. You know you'll have a lot better chance of surviving with someone with you. You can't deny that. And Sahasrahla knows what he's talking about, too. If you go alone, you will fail. You can't do this alone. Drake shakes his head slowly, knowing that his friend is right, but not wanting to admit it. He also knows that no matter what he says, Kiln would follow him. Slowly looking up, eye to eye with Kiln, he lets a faint grin spread across his face. Drake: You know, if you keep this up, you might just have me believing I really am the Legendary Hero. Kiln grins back at his friend, excited and relieved at the same time.

*refrains from reading spoilers* Must...resist...temptation! AAAGH!!! *feels like he's being torn apart* >_< There is something I'd like to know, however. That is, where did you get the artwork that's in your banner, Smoky Joe? I've looked, but I haven't been able to find much official art that's not part of other graphics.

Gaming I think that Retro Studios is the best company that GC ever worked with
Desbreko replied to SS5 Gogeta's topic in Noosphere
Yeah, but Mario is Missing wasn't in the main series. And also, Nintendo didn't have anything to do with the CD-i Zelda games. Their partnering of sorts with Philips gave Philips partial rights to Nintendo's franchises, letting them develop a Zelda game. -
Answer: You let a Tyrogue evolve when its attack and defense stats are exactly the same. Question: In Red and Blue, how many fire/flying type Pokémon are there, and which Pokémon are they?

I don't think you quite realize what the game is, lol. It includes a remake of A Link to the Past, which is almost exactly the same as the original, and it includes a new multi-player mode. Hence the title "A Link to the Past/Four Swords." A Link to the Past is the one-player mode, and Four Swords is a new, seperate multi-player mode.

Heheh, yes, you got it exactly right. But, do you know the version of it that Sahasrahla tells Link in the Nintendo Power comics? :p Answer: The name of the room is Chris Houlihan's Room, and it can be found by jumping down the hole just to the east of the Hyrule Castle wall, the hole that lets you get into the castle courtyard. But, for it to take you to the room, you have to run from the northern entrance of Kakariko Village to that hole as fast as you can. If you make it in time, it will take you to the room. One thing, though. It was named after Chris Houlihan because he won a contest that Nintendo Power had, where the winner got his or her name put in the game. Not because he was the one that found it. Question: In what game, and where in that game, can the quote "Grumble, Grumble" be found? (That's my favorite quote from the games, by the way).

Drake sat, thinking. In his mind, it felt as though hours has passed, though really, it had only been twenty or so minutes. That?s when something finally managed to pull him from his thoughts. A beautiful girl had come out of the back room of the tavern, and was talking with the Bartender. Drake had seen this girl many times before, and knew her to be the Bartender?s daughter, Lalia. He marveled at her long, shimmering hair, and her gentle blue eyes, which were only made all the more beautiful by her pale, blue dress. Drake had always been too shy to ever really talk to her, and now, it seemed to be too late. Drake had made up his mind; he would leave Kakariko Village in the morning, on the quest given him by Sahasrahla. However, he would go alone, against Sahasrahla?s wishes. He would not be able to bear bringing his friends along to die with him, should he fail. Drake realized he was staring, and quickly looked away, just as Lalia looked over in his direction. Now you?ve done it. Gone and made a fool of yourself. Drake sighs, before taking another sip of his ale. Not that it matters, I suppose. I?ll be far away from here this time tomorrow, with this life behind me. Drake lets out another long, quiet sigh, as he resigns himself to what he knows he must do. Sahasrahla had said that the Master Sword was being kept deep in the dungeons of Agahnim?s Castle, so that would be his first main goal. How am I ever going to get in there alive, and without being a prisoner, though? Somehow I doubt the soldiers are just going to let me waltz in there and take the one sword that can defeat their leader. I?d have to be invisible, if I were to have any chance at? And then something in his mind popped, like a light switch being turned on. That?s it! Invisible! Drake recalls hearing stories about a Magic Cape being hidden away long ago under the old king?s grave. Magic Capes could turn one invisible, even in the brightest of light. That?s it, then. I?ll set off for the Graveyard, tomorrow at dawn. With a set goal in mind, Drake was starting to feel a little more confident. Maybe he could retrieve the Master Sword after all. Maybe he really was the Legendary Hero. Maybe he would even find that Silver Arrow that Sahasrahla had spoken of, and defeat Ganon, high in his tower atop Death Mountain, in the Dark World. Drake stood up, having finished his ale, and walked to the counter to return the mug and pay for the drink. Walking up to the counter with a little more bounce in his step than when he arrived, and set the mug down on the bar along with a few Rupees as payment. Then he noticed Lalia again, standing next to her father, smiling at him. He felt his stomach bunch up and his mind start to panic with his nervousness. What should I do? Should I say something? Should I just smile back and leave? Smile! Yes! At least smile! Brave as he was in battle, all the courage in the world couldn?t have helped him in that moment. He smiled back, uncertainly, and felt the panic subside just a little bit.

Actually, there are four female characters in FFVI. Terra Celes Relm
Shadow
And yes, I can prove that last one. I have a screen shot, which I took myself, so I know it isn't a fake. Take a look, if you want:
Originally posted by Juuthena I think pokemon advance is already out, but I'm not sure if I can afford it for the moment. ^^; I have so much money I have to spend on Christmas presents. = \
I think Ruby and Sapphire are out in Japan, but they won't be arriving in the US until March 17, 2003. (Only about a week before Zelda: The Wind Waker comes out). As for how long Pokémon will last, well, look at some of Nintendo's other game series. Super Mario Bros. came out in 1985, and the Mario series is still going strong, so who knows how long Pokémon will last. It could last five more years, it could last ten, there's not really any way to tell. As long as the games sell, though, it'll keep going. Just for a guess, though, I'd say that it'll at least still be popular by the time that the next games in the series after Ruby and Sapphire come out. Probably longer.

Right, I've started the RPG, which can be found here. For the people that made it in (look at the list below), have fun, and for the people that didn't, sorry, and better luck next time. So, here's the list of people who made it in, and what character they're playing. (And remember, you can still sign up, even though it's started already. If you have a good enough sign up, I'll still let you in). I've also posted the list in the actual RPG, so it's easy to see who's playing what character while reading and posting. Dramatis Personae Boba Fett - Rokar Gepta Break - Dareigen Sakelo Crazy White Boy - Samantha Lightheart Deedlit - Laithrielsyan Similothlas Desbreko - Drake Desbreko Elite - Kiln Redras Final Flash - Amidriena GinnyLyn - Sefai Aquamentus James - Hikaru Lady Katana - Rayne Raikain Mitch - Mithioth PiroMunkie - Voleur Queen Asuka - Lalia Shyguy - Jobb Tasis - Tasis Luinal The One - Seburo Initia The Vampire: Ed - Sairo Bijan Zidane - Zephyr Hydroel

Pyramid of Power 7. Hedge Maze 8. Misery Mire 9. Swamp Ruins 10. Ice Lake ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ It was early spring, and Kakariko Village was plagued with a thunderstorm that night. Drake Desbreko could see the occasional flash of lightning through the windows, and hear the far-off cracks of thunder, as wind driven rain beat against his small house. Normally, Drake enjoyed these storms. He liked to sit and read by the light of a fire, while listening to the storm raging on outside. But now, he has other things on his mind--matters that would shape the very course of history, and change Hyrule forever. He rose from his chair by the small fire in the fireplace, and began to pace, mulling over what Sahasrahla had told him. Could he really be a descendant of one of the ancient Knights of Hyrule, just like Link? Was it really his destiny to defeat Ganon and restore peace to this dark, depressed land? Drake didn?t know. He had questions, but no answers. Well, worrying about it all night isn?t going to help. Sahasrahla has always been right before, except? He thinks about what happened to Link. Sahasrahla had seemed pretty sure that he was the Legendary Hero, but it was now apparent that that was not so. Drake shiveres, trying to dispel thoughts of that nature. He knew it wouldn?t do any good worrying, but knowing that rarely helps. Pulling on his thick, grey cloak and raising the hood, he opens the door and steps outside. Immediately he feels the push of the wind, blowing him back towards the doorway. Bending almost double, he makes his way out into the storm. Few lights remain burning in this furious storm, and he makes his way to the Kakariko Tavern a few blocks from his house mostly by memory. Stumbling through the door, he quickly closes it and walks forward to the bar. A few other people, most likely taking refuge against the storm with a drink as he was, looked up from the counter and few tables set up around the room at the newcomer. Drake sits down at the bar and shivers, pulling down his hood to reveal his now-tattered dark brown hair. He brushes a lock of hair from his eyes as the Bartender walks over to take his order. Bartender: You look as though you?d seen a ghost. What can I get for you? Drake: That storm isn?t too gentle on a man. And I think I?ll have a mug of Goron Ale, please. The Bartender raises an eyebrow at Drake?s request, before turning to get his drink. Bartender: Strong stuff. Something on your mind? Drake: Heh, just one can't hurt, though, right? And yeah, lots of things, actually. Talked to Sahasrahla a bit ago. Told me some things I?m not sure I was ready to hear. The Bartender faces Drake again, and puts his drink down on the counter before making a face. Bartender: What?s that old goat telling you now? Trying to get you to run off on some fool adventure to get you killed like Link? Ever since news of Link?s defeat came, some peoples? thoughts of Sahasrahla had become less than merry. Drake knew it wasn?t his fault that Link had failed. On the contrary, Sahasrahla had done everything he could to help the young hero along. He had even managed to guide him to the Master Sword, which he recovered and used. It was said that only one of pure heart could wield that mighty blade, which Link did, proving him to be a hero, if not the Legendary Hero. Mumbling a reply too low to hear, Drake gets up from the bar with his drink and walks to an unoccupied table to sit down and clear his mind. He sits, sipping his ale, trying to sort out the multitude of thoughts raging through his brain.

Sure, you can have the Titan's Mitt, but it'll have to count as one of your five secondary items. If you don't want to replace one of those with it, you could just make it a normal gauntlet, though. You could replace the Moon Pearl, since I'm not including the people-transforming-into-monsters-in-the-Dark-World bit, since it would be a bit too complicated, I think. Unless you have some other use for it in mind, it'd be kind of useless. And like I said, "You don't really need to know anything about the story of any of the Zelda games to play in this RPG, since I made up the story." You pretty much only need to know the story that I posted, since you can make up your own weapons, spells, and items. And if you want help with anything, you can PM or IM me, and I'll be glad to help.

No, I was just thinking it really hard, lol. It was there in the back of my mind, but I didn't remember much of anything about where it said that, so I didn't give that answer. Guess I should have gone with it. :cross:

*reads latest sign-ups* ...*gets to the last one*  :wow: :cross: :faint: Heh, okay, but seriously, now... You're over the item limit. As a Sage you get three secondary spells and thee items. (Yeah, three, read the paragraph below this one). Now, you could count the Magic Powder and Magic Cape as spells, if you want. They're kinda of magical items, so they can go either way, for being an item or a spell. You'd still be a few over the limit, though, but only by a couple. I've been thinking about it, and I think it'd be better to have Sages be able to carry three items, and have three secondary spells. Two items isn't very many, considering how many from the Zelda games there are. So, anyone that's playing a Sage, go ahead and add another item if you want.

Well, I'm very happy with most of the sign-ups so far. I've written the opening post for the RPG, so I can start it any time. I think I'll give people another day or so to sign up before starting it, though, and if they have a good sign-up after it's started, I'll still let them in. And I'll be starting it on Sunday, the 15th, just so people know. I'll also post the list of people who've made it in at the same time as the opening post. Okay, decided to move the start date up to tomorrow, the 14th. I wasn't thinking straight this morning when I posted that it would start the 15th, since that was actually two days from when I posted. :cross:

I'm not sure either... It's been a long time since I played Link's Awakening. But yes, the bubbles are called Shaboms. Ask away.

Which member would u like 2 meet in real life?
Desbreko replied to Boo's topic in General Discussion
I wouldn't freak out. I always carry my knives. ;) But, uh...why would anyone freak out? I mean, sure, someone recognizes you from a picture you posted of yourself. So what? If you'll talk to them on the board, why wouldn't you talk to them in person? -
Really? Hmm...does it say at the end, after you beat the end boss? That's the only time I can think of that it might say, when he talks to you after you beat the end boss. But yeah, the bubbles have a name. I actually didn't know they had a name either, until I saw the entry in the Hyrule Encyclopedia a while ago, heh.
-
In Link's Awakening, it never gives him a name or tells who he is. It's in Ocarina of Time that they give him a name (Kaepora Gaebora), and say that he's the reincarnation of a sage. Question: In Ocarina of Time, what is the name of the bubbles that you find floating around in some rooms of Jabu Jabu's Belly?

That's what I'd think, too. I mean, why would it matter how early they start pre-orders? And on GameStop.com, it said that if you reserved a copy, you'd be sure to get the pre-order bonus. So, yeah, I'd think the earlier the better, I don't see why Nintendo wanting them to wait would make a difference. It's not like people don't know about the bonus disc already, lol. And if they don't do that in the US, then it would matter even less, because it would just be the game itself. So yeah, I just went ahead and put my $5 down to reserve a copy. I really don't see what could happen.
