Lol...I survived Shadow Flare quite easily, actually. It only did about 6000-7000 damage, leaving me about 3000-4000 HP left. (I love HP Plus Materia). :D Nope, though I only ever use one Enemy Skill Materia when playing through. I did get all but one Enemy Skill on one of them on my old game (which got erased), though. All I needed was that one you get from a Chocobo... I forget the name. If I had known about it back before my game was erased, I would have gotten it.

Nope. They added a bunch of stuff to the Ruins of Alph in Crystal. That, along with the Battle Tower, is one of the main changes they made to Crystal.

Two hours does sound a little short, but you have to remember, that's about the minimum amount of time that it can be beaten in. Heck, if you were really good, you could beat Super Metroid in about two hours, yet if you didn't rush (and you didn't know where all the stuff is already), it could last ten or more hours. Remember, Metroid Prime is quite a bit longer than any other Metroid game. And, if you look at it that way, Metroid Prime should be considered really long for a Metroid game, and that Fusion is about right. Oh, and if you want a new banner, I could just start randomly changing the image you're using in your sig and just keep the name of the file the same. :D

Mamamu Yan owns the Doggy Racetrack. Question: In A Link to the Past, what are the names of the two Lumber Jacks that live just to the east of the Lost Woods?

Question: Is the end boss very hard? When I played through Super Metroid and beat it, Mother Brain was a piece of cake, since I had all of the Energy Tanks and Super Missiles.

Yeah, Roam is the name of that guy that transforms into a bird when he fights. Heh...it probably doesn't help that the answer is a long, hard-to-spell name, either. :D

Pikachu will shock you if you neglect it? Huh...I always got along good with Pikachu, so I guess I wouldn't have ever seen that. But yes, I also like Yellow more because they took out the missingno glitch. Of course, it really pissed me off when I'd battle someone with Red or Blue and they'd come in with a team of all level 100 Pokémon and kick my butt because of it. I never did get either Red or Blue, I just stuck with Yellow until Gold and Silver came out.

The poster does look pretty good, but for box art, I'd shift the logo up towards the top of the picture and the rest of it down so that Link and the other people aren't covered by the logo... But, uh, yeah, it looks really cool. I wouldn't mind at all if they used that for box art.

Nope. And it's not the name of another Fairy in a game or anything. It's completely made up for that comic, so far as I know. And for those of you that don't have those issues on NP, you still don't have an excuse for not knowing it because they released a scan of the comics on zelda.com awhile ago. :p (I actually ordered the book format of the comics from Nintendo Power, and I have the scan, heh).

Ah, okay, now I get it. It's Grog, the guy that gives you the Bunny Hood after you use the Bremen Mask to turn all the Cucco chicks into full grown Cuccos. Question: In the Zelda: A Link to the Past comics that ran in volume 32 through volume 43 of Nintendo Power, what is the name of the Faerie that travels with Link in the Dark World?

Lol, yeah, they're not going to just leave it hanging out in the open like that. The picture is probably just of a prototype or something like that.

Mine would be Super Mario World, either the original or the GBA remake. It was hard without being insanely hard for most of it (like the original SMB, heh), it was decently long (for its time), and provided lots of different types of levels, power-ups, and it was the first game to feature Yoshi. It had some of the best play control ever in a game, and I still occasionally find myself humming a tune from it. Even though it was the first game out on the SNES, it still stands up to a lot of the platformers today, which I think says a lot about how good it is. And remember, people, always post reasons why you like a particular game when replying. Any post that doesn't give a better reason than, "I like it because it's cool," or something similar will be deleted, as with all favorite threads.

With me, it's not the worry of using the wrong item so much, as it is having to flick the dang stick back and forth for using the Fairy Bow and Fairy Slingshot. (Both of which I use frequently enough for that to be a bother--long range weapons are good!) :D I dunno about other people, but to me that's both harder and slower than just tapping a button. Also, what if the stick is accidentally bumped during a heated battle? You may find yourself holding a Bomb while trying to score the killing blow. Bleh...I think they should have made it so you could shift your view with the C Stick, but that would have involved more than editing the control scheme, since you can't do that in the original.

Lmao, that's a good one, Ginny. I love it, I'm writing it down.

Um...what? I'm not sure I understand the question... :cross: ...Just a guess, but you aren't talking about Kaepora Gaebora, are you?

There's already a thread about fic Pokémon, located here. Feel free to post in it, but please don't repeat existing topics. Thread Closed

Hmm...ZTWW... Well, there've been better titles, but it's not bad. I suppose I'll grow to like it more in time, too, if history repeats itself, heh.

*blinks* ...There was slowdown in the original? I don't remember ever being bothered by it, if there was. Either that, or I just don't remember it because it's been so long since I played it much. :cross: And if they have X, Y, and Z as an alternative for the C Stick, I'd definitely use them instead. Hmm...Fairy Bow on Y, Hookshot/Longshot on X, and the Ocarina of Time on Z... I think that'd work pretty well.

The shop doesn't actually have a name, I was just looking for a general location, which you got. More specifcally, it's just to the west of the Pyramid of Power, but whatever. And yes, it costs 500 Rupees. Link's mother brings Link to the Great Deku Tree, so Link could grow up in the safety of Kokiri Forest. And, the Young Deku Tree is the one who tells him about it. Question: In Link's Awakening, which dungeons require keys to enter?

He already did it again. I deleted a thread of his just like this yesterday, and it seems he posted it again. Just a little tip, Solidus_6: If one of your posts or threads gets deleted, it means it was spam, and that you shouldn't post it again. That just makes things worse. If you haven't already, and maybe even if you have, I suggest reading the rules.

I've also heard that he's making a Metal Gear Solid 3, actually, but I don't know if it's true... This sounds very interesting, though. If the game has to do with fighting vampires, I wonder if the amount of light around changes how many and how strong the vampires are.
Originally posted by Dark_Apocalyps Ditto. But only one typo: EVERY one can learn magic by giving an esper to someone...... But still FFVI is the best. I liked Shadow over all the chars.
No, actually, not every character can learn magic. You can't equip Espers on Umaro or Gogo, so they can't learn magic. If you put the "magic" command on Gogo, he can use magic, but only spells that the other party members know. He still can't actually learn magic himself, though.

Or, instead of a
tag, you could just use a tag set to white. And yes, there is an option for white, it just isn't in the list on the reply page. You have to write in the "white" part after the equal sign in the tag. (Like this, see?) And besides, what if someone isn't using the normal black font? What if, like me, they use indigo or one of the other colors? The text would still show up, making the tag useless. It just seems like it'd be easier for people to use a tag instead of making a totally new tag. Lol...funny that I just happened to mention to James a couple days ago about how I was wondering if Sara still wanted a strikethrough tag... While I probably wouldn't use it much, I do use it occasionally in things like MS Word, so I might end up using it sometime or other. I don't see how it could really hurt any more than a lot of the other style tags, though.

Why would you need analogue control for the Fairy Bow? You push the button and Link puts an arrow to the string and draws it back. You release the button, and he fires the arrow... There isn't anything in between. Hmm, lets see here... Control Stick - Move A Button - Sword B Button - Action C Stick - Secondary Items and First Person View L Button - Z Targeting R Button - Shield Start - Pause Hmm...that still leaves the X, Y and Z buttons free, along with the Control Pad. I wonder what they'll be used for. I'd like it if you could also use the Control Pad for the secondary items. I don't know what X, Y, and Z could be used for. More secondary items are always good, though.
Originally posted by Smoky Joe *Spits drink* What!? It isn't 60 fps? Why the hell not?
Can we say "lazy"? ;) I doubt Nintendo would spend much time on these two, since they're giving them out for free. They probably just didn't want to take the extra time to fix them up. But yes, Ganondorf and Zelda's faces look a little smoother, and not as jagged. Especially Ganondorf's nose, lol. ...Saria looks to be pretty much the game, though. (I wonder if they made Malon look any better?) :D I also wonder if there are many more little tweakings like this. As for this happening outside of Japan... Well, OOT I can see, but I doubt Ura Zelda will make it if there's much translation to do. Here's to hoping, I guess. I'm wondering how they're going to do the control scheme, though, since you only have four face buttons on the GCN controller instead of six on the N64. I just hope they don't use the C Stick for secondary items, because it could get really annoying, having to flick it back and forth a bunch when using the Fairy Slingshot/Bow.
