*swears long and hard* ...Stupid Best Buy, isn't getting it in till the stinking 20th! Gah! *more swearing* ... *sulks in a dark corner* ... *mutters* Dangit, I can't take this waiting anymore. Why can't it just come out on the same day everywhere?

Nope! It wasn't Gengar and Nidorino. Think earlier than that. :toothy:

Heh, it's Bowser's head. Miyamoto seems to like sneaking in cameo appearances. Question: In Ocarina of Time, what colors are the Singing Frogs that can be found in Zora's River?

FF games too short? Lol...I spent well over 100 hours on FFVII the first time through. And, I'm already up to about 40 hours on FFVI, on my second time through. I consider that a pretty good length for a game.

By "true grass Pokémon," I assume you mean a Pokémon that's grass type and doesn't have a second type also, right? If so, the answer is Tangela. Question: In the cartoon series, what was the first Pokémon to appear on screen? (It's simpler to figure out than it sounds). :D

Yes, that's right! It's red, blue, green. :) Go ahead and ask a question.

Tons of new screen shots at nintendo.com! I ended up downloading about 125 new ones! (Some are subsciber only, though). Go here to see them. Here are a few of my favorites:

Bleh...if there aren't going to be any new games on the pre-order disc (as in, never before released in the US, like Ura Zelda), if they even have one in the US, I'd rather they put The Legend of Zelda and Zelda II: The Adventure of Link on it instead of the two N64 games. I don't really consider OOT and MM to be classics yet; they're only about four and two years old. ...That, and my two N64 games still save okay. I'm not too sure if my two old NES cartridges will hold a saved game anymore.

You need five Hearts to get the White Sword... Which is nice, because you can actually get the White Sword before you even enter Level 1. In Ocarina of Time, there are mini-bosses in the Fire Temple called Flare Dancers. Over the course of the battles with them, they change colors as they take damage. What are the colors, and in what order do they come in? (I want the color that they start as, in addition to the colors that they change to).

I do sort of the same thing, I suppose, though I don't really try and raise my Pokémon by so many levels in between gyms; I just go, and if my levels are a little low, it ends up being a little harder to win. (Vary rarely have I ended up having to actually go back and level up in order to win). ...But yes, I try to catch Pokémon that I'm going to use in my final team against the Elite Four early on, though I do end up replacing some about halfway through. (Such is the case with Butterfree; I usually pick up a Caterpie early in the game, raise it to a Butterfree, and then when I can catch an Abra/Gastly I'll catch one and train it up to a Kadabra/Haunter to replace Butterfree).
Originally posted by sydney I would really like to play a spin off of Final Fantasy Tactics where I could play as Delita. Or better yet, they could just make another FFT's game. GAH!!! I have been waiting for this game since before I even touched FF7!
You're in luck. :) They're making another FF Tactics for the GBA. I think it's due out some time next year. Edit: Bah...the GBA is better than all three of the new consoles... :toothy:
Originally posted by Final Flash Ah, that's just being shallow. Graphics aren't everything. My favourites? Well quite frankly, FFI and FFV are right up there on par with FFVII, and their graphics are 'primitive'. Not everyone thinks the graphics are 'primitive', you know. Everyone says they wanna see an FFVII remake with PS2 graphics and all that? Well I secretly wanna see FFVII and FFVIII remade for the SNES with FFV/FFVI sprites! My secret revealed!
Yeah. If graphics made the game, there wouldn't be a Final Fantasy series, let alone a SquareSoft. Ever wondered why they're called Final Fantasy? It's because SquareSoft was losing money, and only had enough for one more game. That one game would either make or break the company. So, they named it Final Fantasy because it could have been their final game. And if an RPG needs flashy 3D graphics to be good, the original Final Fantasy wouldn't have saved SquareSoft. I guess my "secret" would be that I think they should all be in 2D, with sprites instead of polygons, and just have 3D cutscenes every now and then. Pretty much like FFVI in Final Fantasy Anthology. It would sure save a lot of space on the disc, heh. :p

Correct! Finally! :D Now you get to ask a question.

Piro is right. During v3 and part of v4, posts counted in the Introduction forum, and then James made it so posts didn't count in there anymore. But, for people that had posted in there before, they still had all the old posts. But, when the whole forum was deleted, those old posts got deleted, so they lost them. I myself lost about 150, though a few of those were also from the Classic Gaming forum being deleted. Personally, I'd like it if, instead of a number for my post count, it just said "Classified." :D

They change location every time you move from one route/town to another. And, if you use Fly, they'll scatter to random locations on the map. A good way to encounter them, if you've already seen them and you can track them with your Pokédex, is to fly to Violet City. Then check the location of them. If one is two routes away, head towards it. When you move out of the town and onto the route, it'll also move to an adjacent route. And, if it happens to move towards you, you'll end up on the same route as it. Then just use some Repellent to keep the weaker Pokémon in the area from attacking you while you run around in the grass waiting for it to attack you. If it ends up moving away from you or there isn't one two routes away from you, fly to Violet City again and repeat the process. Using this method, it'll still take a long time to catch them, but not as long as it would if you were just trying to run around the world map trying to get on the same route as one of them... Unless you're incredibly lucky, that is. ;)

26, I think. One for each letter of the alphabet.

Personally, I don't think Pokémon is childish at all. Sure, the games are made so that younger children can play and enjoy them, but that doesn't mean that adults can't also play and enjoy them. No offense to anyone or anything, but I think that if you won't play a game because you're afraid it'll make you look childish," you've kind of missed the whole point of video games. To me, the point of all video games is to have fun. If you have fun playing a game, it shouldn't matter what that game is like, all that matters is that it's fun.

I like FFVI, mainly because of the diversity of characters, and because each of the many characters actually has a pretty good story behind them, for the most part. The story is excellent, as good as FFVII's, in my opinion, and it has some of the best attacks and whatnot. I still can't get over being able to do eight attacks with one character using a Genji Glove and Offering. My only real complaint about the game is that almost every character can learn magic. I think that makes it just a little too easy.

*grins* Well, I had to leave something for other people to say, didn't I? Lol...I know what you mean, though, about being able to act out characters' actions. I'd be perfect for Locke, heh. But yes, FFVI has the best character development of any FF game I've played. For me, it really is the main reason I like it so much, and the reason I like it more than FFVII. And believe me, I like FFVII a lot, so that's really saying something.

Nope. And the Lost Woods only goes to the Graveyard, both 1st and 2nd Quest. Hint: You never go in the same direction two or more times in a row.

I always add "- Desbreko" in indigo color on the end of my edits, and if the person is already using indigo, I use the seagreen color. I also always write what's been edited, or if I've moved the thread or something. And like Sara said, I too have never seen a little "edited by" message when a post has been edited by a Super Moderator. Back when I was a Moderator, it would add the message, but when I became a Super Mod it stopped adding it. I didn't really think too much of it until now, though. And yeah, if you edit your own post within about 30 seconds, it won't put the little message on it. I think it's nice for making quick changes to spelling and stuff, without it putting the little message on the post.

I'm pretty sure that FFVI is seperate over there, and that they released FFIV and FFV together... But whatever... 17 hours? Lol...I'm playing through it again on the SNES (as FFIII), and I've been playing for almost 30 hours and there's still lots left for me to do. I'm expecting it to last me at least 40 hours, probably more like 45-50 if I really want to do everything. In terms of storyline, it has one of my favorite stories of the FF games, with FFVII's story coming in about even with it. As for complexity, you can really have it as complex as you want. You end up getting tons of different characters, and you can customize them pretty much however you want, since (almost) everyone can learn magic. There's even one character that you don't actually get to control in battle, though he's really strong. Pretty much, if you liked FFVII and you don't need flashy 3D graphics to enjoy a game (though you'll still get some in the cut scenes they added for the PSX remake), you'll probably like FFVI. It's my favorite FF game of them all, out of the ones I've played anyway, and any fan of the FF series should definitely check this one out.

Mako pit? ...I assume you mean the place right before you fight the end boss, on the platforms, right? ...But anyway, Ultimate WEAPON only does Shadow Flare as a final attack, before it dies. So, make sure that you have any Enemy Skill Materia equiped on the character that kills it. Ruby WEAPON also uses it, but I'm not sure if it uses it as a final attack or not.

Um...if you haven't even tried going through it yet, maybe you should try first, and if you do end up getting stuck, I could help you from there. Writing good walkthroughs for entire dungeons takes a long time... And besides, where's the fun in it if you already know what and how to do everything? If you get stuck, I'll help you, but I think you should at least try going through it on your own first. For me, the Fire Temple was close to, if not the easiest of the temples in the game.

Hmm...I guess that was the rumored OOT remake that I was hearing about. Interesting... While I'm not too excited about a remake of OOT, unless new stuff is added, I really, really, really hope that they do this in the US, too, just so I can finally play Ura Zelda. Of course, we probably won't get it over here, because the US always seems to get screwed when it comes to little bonus things like this. :grumble:
