1. I can help you (I'm a master of Super Mario 64, heh), but I'll kinda need to know more details if you don't want a walkthrough for the level. (It's called Wet-Dry World, by the way). Specifically, which Stars are you having trouble getting, and what's giving you the trouble? Something that might help regardless, though, is knowing that there's a secret warp in the level. You have to have the water level all the way down, and then go to the small little tower thingy made up of three platforms, that has one of the water level diamonds on top of it. Stand in the corner the platforms make on the ground, and it'll warp you up next to the Cannon. Once you've opened up the Cannon, this warp can be very useful for getting up to the top level without having the water level really high.
2. And extra Key? I used all of my Small Keys in Level 3, on both of my times through the game. Unless you're playing the original version of Link's Awakening and there's a glitch that they fixed in the DX version (I have DX), there should be a use for every Small Key. I think that using one of them might not be necessary to complete the dungeon, but I do know that there's a use for all of them, in the DX version at least.
3. Um...do you mean that it's only used once in the game, and that you use it in the first three day cycle, or that you only use it once it the first three days, or that it can be used more than once in the game, but you only need to use it once?
4. Yes, this has been done before, but not for quite awhile, so I think it's okay. As for my username, there's not much of a story behind it. Pretty much, I was looking for a good name to use, and I started looking through some Zelda-related stuff, since I'm a big Zelda fan. I saw the name "Desbreko," which happens to be a large, skeletal fish in Zelda: Majora's Mask. I liked the name and I liked where it came from, so I decided to use it as the last name of my screen name, "Drake Desbreko." I mostly just go by Desbreko, though, since I don't like having to type both the first and last name. As for the "Drake" part, I came up with that name for my character in the first RPG that I joined, and it's just sort of stuck with me. So now I go by the name of Drake Desbreko in RPGs, and just Desbreko elsewhere.

Pok

Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire aren't out yet. I think they're currently scheduled for a first quarter 2003 release, though I'm not sure.
6. Heeheehee...he's Professor Shikashi. Weird name, eh? Now for my question: On the first day, in Majora's Mask, there's a Goron that checks into the Stock Pot Inn. What is his name?
7. Hmm, lets see... Okay, in Link's Awakening, what kind of enemy are you able to talk to, not including bosses and mini-bosses?
8. Um...you said "weapons" in your post, so I took that to mean that the shield and keys weren't included... If we're talking about just items, there are certainly more than three that are in all of the games. Heart Containers and Fairies would be two more, in addition to the sword, shield, and keys.
9. Nope. You should know the Bow & Arrows isn't in all of them, though. You have played through the Oracle games... After looking at the list of items for Zelda II, though, I can't find any weapons that are in all of the Zelda games besides the sword, let alone three. Which three are you talking about?
10. Speaking of getting all 290 trophies...I can't do it! I dunno why, but it just won't give me the Hammer Throw bonus, which is the only one that I need in order to get the Discun trophy, or whatever it's called. (The one that you get when you get all of the bonuses). I've dropped tons of Hammers, but it never gives me the stinking bonus! Any advice? I've tried everything I can think of, and nothing has worked.
11. Well, I happen to like the LTP box art. :p Out of all the Zelda logos, I like it the best, along with the Link's Awakening logo, which is the same only with "Link's Awakening" on it instead of "A Link to the Past." And yes, the LTP game is exactly the same, from what I've heard.
12. Three Zelda games have won the "Best Overall Game" award in the Nintendo Power Nester Awards (which are now just called the Nintendo Power Awards, since the Nester comic strip isn't in NP anymore). Zelda II: The Adventure of Link won in 1988, and ten years later, Zelda: Ocarina of Time claimed the #1 spot in 1998, with Zelda: Majora's Mask winning in 2000. Right, now for my question... In Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask, you get Bomb Bags to keep your Bombs in. What are the Bomb Bags made out of?
13. Link and Samus both grab a long vine and tie it securely around FLUDD on one end, and around their waist on the other end. Before Mario blasts off across the waves with the two passengers in tow, Link manages to slip on his Hover Boots. As the trio skim across the water, Link manages to stand up as he's dragged along, hovering about an inch above the waters surface. Link: Woo! Water skiing! Link crouches, and then jumps and does a flip in the air, landing back on his feet as if he were as light as a feather. Samus looks over and watches as Link performs flip after flip, trying to guess how many times he can pull it off before he loses it. "One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten... I'll give him five, six more times." Just then, though, while Link is mid-flip, Mario reaches the shore and stops. Link, however, keeps flying through the air, and lands head first in a sand dune. Link: Mmfg fghu umhf hf mhghmf! Samus un-ties herself, and walks over to where Link is sticking up out of the sand. She grabs one ankle, and lifts him out. Link: You know, it would've been nice if you had told me we were getting close to the shore! Samus: Nice, yes, but not nearly as amusing. Link raises an eyebrow at Samus, while dusting himself off and putting his Kokiri Boots back on. Mario: This would-a be the coast around Onett, eh? Samus: Looks like it. The city should be a little north from here, over a few dunes. Link takes off his hat and turns it upside down. Sand pours out of it, and Link stares at it with a look of annoyance. Link: Well, might as well get going then. No point in hanging around here while who knows what is after Peach. Link replaces his now sand free hat on his head, and starts up the first dune with the other three. They listen to the ocean waves crashing on the beach and the cry of seagulls overhead as they trek across the hot sand. What Samus said to be "a few dunes," turned out to be more like twelve dunes. As they stumble to the top of the last one, hot and panting, they look down upon Onett, a small, bustling seaside town. Mario: I-sa wonder if they have-a good seafood... The three of them walk down the side of the sand dune and then into town to begin their search for Princess Peach. As they walk by an alley, however, a black robed figure leans out and watches them head down a side street.
14. Bleh...I'll just make up a new one, seeing as the other one is probably a bit hard unless you look it up. So...in Ocarina of Time, what item do you use to open the entrance to the Shadow Temple?
15. Ah, I thought so. You do know that those are illegal, just like other ROMs and stuff, right? *deletes link from post*
16. Hmm...I've played Donkey Kong some, and I have to say, I didn't find it all that fun after a little while. I like playing two player on Mario Bros. a lot more, and then three and four player on the Mario Bros. game on the Super Mario Advance games. Battle mode on the SMA games is the best, heh.
17. Um...I've never even heard of a Zelda game by that title. What system is it on, now?
18. Oooh, cool box... I like it, I like it a lot... But I don't have any friends, so I will just in a dark watching the FMV sequence at the begining. (Again, and again, and again, and again.)
19. Yes, I think this thread is getting rather off topic. I think Edge has gotten about all the advice he's going to get on what to do about his copy of FFIX, so there's no point in keeping this thread open if it's going to get spammy. Thread Closed So sorry I didn't close this as I saw it V_V - Break
20. Only because I don't have enough money to get a CD-i system. I have Zelda: The Wand of Gamelon, but CD-i systems, if you can even find one, are usually pretty expensive. If I had the money, I'd get one and the other two CD-i Zelda games and play them, even if they are some of the worst games ever made. Just so I'd know about them. Now stop posting in here unless you're answering a question... This is a quiz game thing, not "Try and find something that Desbreko doesn't know about the Zelda series." That's what PMs are for. Edit:
Originally posted by OlgaTheDwarf Oh Jon, you're sooooooo mean.
Yep, I am. :p *deletes post* Now stop spamming in my beloved Zelda Forum before I'm mean to you in real life. :naughty:
21. Those were also released here in the US, and they aren't real Zelda games anyway, seeing as they weren't developed by Nintendo and don't have anything to do with Nintendo other than having the name Zelda on them, and using a few characters from the Zelda series. True, the Oracle games were devleoped by Capcom, but Nintendo worked with them on the games. They were actually having a lot of trouble with the games before Miyamoto started helping them with the games. Nintendo didn't have anything to do with the development of the CD-i games. That, and those came out before OOT, and I really doubt Nintendo would use a character that came from one of the CD-i games.

help me....

Steal from the Atma Weapon on the Floating Continent? I took Locke along to steal from it, and all I got was either a Ribbon or an Elixer. Or do you fight the Atma Weapon again, after the time on the Floating Continent?
23. Um...worst villain? What exactly do you mean? The end boss in Onox, if that's what you're asking.
24. Adam Well, you've got to hand it to him for having the whole network and everything. Without him, none of this would be here. So, yeah, he deserves a lot of thanks. James As for you... WHY DID YOU HAVE TO TELL EVERYONE ABOUT THAT?!?! Gah...now I've got yet another nickname that's going to haunt me. And it's not like I don't have enough already, in real life and on the web. ...But, uh, anyway, James also deserves a lot of thanks for running this board and putting up with all the crap that comes with the job. He's a great guy all around, and a good friend. I really enjoy working with him, on here and on ShineGet.com. Semjaza Azazel Another great guy that I really started to talk to when I started working on ShineGet.com. It's fun to talk to him about gaming and just stuff in general. Final Flash Great role player, and fun to talk to... Actually, I'm talking to him right not, heh... Anyway, I've talked to him off and on ever since I joined OB, and our conversations have always been quite amusing if nothing else. Break ...What can I say, he's just Break. ;) Heh, talking to Weh is always fun, especially late a night. :twitch: It's fun to see just how insane we can get with our musings... Crazy White Boy Well, first off, he created Project Gamer, the best RPG I've ever been in, in my oppinion. I always enjoy taking to him about gaming, and he made this funny picture from one of the pics of myself that I posted. (see attachment). Cera I love her comments about life, the universe and everything. :toothy: And, there are others, too, but 1) It'd take awhile to list them all, 2) It's late and I'm tired, and 3) ...I can't think of what number three was going to be... But anyway, there are a lot of great people on this board, and I'm very glad I signed up. I've had fun here from the day I arrived, talking to a lot of great people.
25. Mario reaches over and pulls back the hood of one of the figures to reveal... Mario: A Koopa! The other two look down at the Koopa as Mario pulls off the cloak, revealing the bright green shell of the Koopa. While some Koopas chose to live in peace among the Toads after Bowser's defeat and imprisonment, many of them were still loyal to the Koopa King, and dispersed throughout the Mushroom Kingdom and other areas of the world. Most of the crime in the Mushroom Kingdom was still commited by Koopas, enough so that there was still a police station in every village with a detachment of guards. Link: Is he carrying anything? Mario searched the unconscious Koopa, and came up with a small pouch of seeds and a few Coins. Mario tosses one of the seeds into a nearby patch of soil, and a Piranha Plant quickly sprouts up. It lunges at them, but is too far away to reach them. After a minute or so, in which it grows to over two feet tall, it pulls its roots up from the ground and runs toward the group. Before it can get to them, though, Samus blasts it with a shot from her arm cannon. Link: Well, that would explain the Piranha Flower attacks... Samus: We should probably tie these three up, before they wake up. Link, resouceful as ever, pulls a long length of rope from a pocket. Mario: ...How did you-a fit that in such a small pocket? Link: Um...Hylian Velcro... In other words, don't ask... I mean, really, how does Samus store all 255 Missiles in that suit of armor, along with the Super Missiles, and other stuff? It's just not something you think about. Mario: Right-a you are... They tie the three Koopas together, and then Mario stands back and looks at the three. One has a green shell and headband, while another has red, and the other has blue. Mario: You know, these three look-a familiar... I wonder if-a the other was yellow... On the ground a few feet away from the Koopas, the group sorts out the things that they were carrying. In the small pile are three bags of Piranha Plant seeds, 27 Coins, and a piece of paper with some writing and a picture on it. Samus holds it up and reads it. Samus: "Do not return until this individual is disposed of." Below the writing is a picture of Mario. Samus scans the paper for finger prints, but it's too wrinkled to get any accurate records. Link: Looks like someone's out to get you. Question is, who is it? Mario: I don't-a know, but I don't like-a the Princess to be out and-a running around with things like-a this going on... Samus: You're right. If someone is looking to off you, then they'll probably be looking for Princess Peach, also. Link: Yeah...nothing like using a princess as bait to lure the hero into a trap. What are we going to do about these, though? Link gestures to the seeds and Coins on the ground. Samus: 27 Coins eh? How about we split them up, nine a piece? The three of them each grab nine of the Coins from the pile, and then Samus disposes of the seeds with a low power shot from her arm cannon. Mario: Well, now that that's-a settled, what are we-a gonna do about Madam Aroma? Link: Well, I have to say I wouldn't regret leaving town without going back for her. I don't know about you two, but I don't think having her along would be very, ah, "pleasant." Mario: You-a have no idea... Samus: Right then, shall we get going? I'm sure these three will have a fine time when they wake up, not having the use of their arms or legs. Link: Yeah, you sure seem to know your knots... Mario: Off-a we go then! The three of them head for the docks on the river, hoping that they'll be able to find out where the ship that Peach got on is headed.
