Okay, I am closing this thread, but not because he's probably already caught Ho-oh. Just because someone has gotten all the help they need, doesn't mean a help thread should be closed. If it's left open, other people can ask questions about the same game, without having to make a whole new topic. Now, the reason I am closing this thread is because the last three posts have been spam. If you're not a Moderator, you can always use the "report post to moderator" function. Posting to report spam or something like that is also spam itself. Thread Closed

There's no need to close this thread. In the sticky thread, I said that the existing rate my team threads could continue, because it would be practically impossible to combine them all. Any new teams that people want rated should go in the sticky thread, but the ones already posted can continue in their own threads. So, in other words, old rate my team threads can continue, but no new ones should be created.

Wow, this sounds like a really cool RPG! About the levels, though, I don't really like the idea. That's just my oppinion, though. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ If anyone didn't see this coming, you must not know me very well, lol. Character Name: Link Reason for Choosing Character: As CWB revealed, I actually am Link. I think it's fitting that I play myself, don't you? My Knowledge of This Character: Oh, come on... It's me! I've played every Zelda game out except for the Game & Watch one and the CD-i ones. If I haven't beaten the others, I've read just about everything there is on them. I know the storyline of every game, I've watched the cartoon series, and I own the Nintendo Power comics, which I've read many, many times. I know exactly how Link acts and reacts in just about every situation, and the differences of how he'd react depending on what game we're talking about. (In other words, I know the difference of how Link would react as the Link from OOT, and the Link from OOA/S). In short, I know pretty much everything there is to know not only about Link, but the whole Zelda series. Starting Location of Character: An inn in the Mushroom Kingdom. He's on a quest for enlightenment, like he was at the beginning of Link's Awakening. That enlightenment is sleep, lol. :toothy: Oh, and since the picture you have of Link on the character select page is from SSBM, I assume that's the character model you're using for him, right? If so, I'll be playing as adult Link from Ocarina of Time, because that's what the SSBM character model is based off of. And, if I'm playing as adult Link from OOT, but with the character model used in SSBM, I assume I'd get all the items that he can use in OOT, right? Also, even if I am playing as adult Link, can I please still have a Boomerang? It's my favorite item in all of the games, and it's just so dang useful!

Meanwhile, while the others are fighting Ganon, Link is somewhere else. A dark place, where he seems to be floating... Then, a light in the distance, drawing closer. Link: Zelda? Zelda: Link! You must get up! You must defeat Ganon! Link: The Master Sword... It didn't even scratch Ganon... Zelda: All hope is not lost! Remember! You have the Golden Power of the Triforce! You must get up! For the good of both Hyrule and Earth! The light fades, and Link feels himself drifting backwards... Back into consciousness... He wakes up to see Karina and Tyron thrown away from Ganon, and Happy holding Ganon's trident. Link gets up, picking up his sword and shield, and softly steps over to the side, so he can see Happy. Link: Happy, NOW! Happy stares at Link for half a second, then drops the trident and swings his mighty sword. Just as the tip of the sword is pointing directly at Ganon, a huge bolt of energy explodes from the tip, and flies into Ganon, knocking him back. Link: Majora remembers that mask. It remembers it as the mask that was used to defeat it! Ganon: YOU! Ganon whirls around to face Link. Link: And you, Ganon, remember the Triforce! With that, Link lunges forward, and the Triforce symbol on the back of his left hand glows brightly. His whole body is surrounded by a golden glow, and the Master Sword is now pulsing with the light of the Golden Power. Link lunges and stabs straight up at Ganon, and makes contact with the tip of the sword in the center of Ganon's chest. This time, Ganon is the one that goes flying back, and hits the wall beside Happy, leaving a large dent in it. Happy: AUGH! Happy runs off away from Ganon to a safe distance, forgetting about the trident. As Ganon quickly gets up, he grabs the trident. With his weapon back in hand, he and Link circle each other, looking for an opening. Back a ways, Karina and Tyron lay on the ground, the spell of the mask broken after it was damaged when Tyron was thrown against the wall. As they wake up, they hear the clangs of sword on trident as Link and Ganon begin to fight once again. Link: Hey guys, any help would be much appreciated!

Hey, just made another Shine Get! banner! Check it out: It's a good thing that paint isn't weather-proof. As you can see, I've even thought up a funny caption for it. Cool, eh? If people want, they can use it. I made it mainly to post on here, for other people to use. :)

The first Zelda game is called The Legend of Zelda. Okay, lets see... What's the name of the Game & Watch Zelda game? Edit: Not one of the CD-i games, the Game & Watch game. You know, those little, individual handheld games that Nintendo made before the NES?

It's a manji, then? Well, I'm not exactly sure what it is, other than a reversed swastika, and it's also the shape of Level 3 in The Legend of Zelda.
-
Uh... what?
-
Those are Gold Skulltulas, not Skullwalltulas, though. I'll have to try that sometime with a Gold Skulltula, though.

Just then, Ganon steps from the shadows, carrying a large trident as tall as himself. Ganon: So, it seems that you've managed to get by my other forces, eh? Well, you shall not be as lucky with me! Link: Happy, you have the Twinmold mask ready? Happy: Yeah, it's right here. Link: Alright guys, it's time to put that practice into play. Karina, Tyron, hold hands and one of you put on the mask. Happy hands Tyron the Twinmold mask and he puts it on while he holds Karina's hand, and they both transform into the giant sand worms. Ganon: Hahahaha! So you've got some masks on your side, eh? Well, you're not the only one with a mask. Ganon pulls Majora's Mask from a pocket, and he puts it on. A strange purple glow surrounds him, and his trident seems to be alive, writhing in his hand. Link stands in front of the other three, facing Ganon, Mirror Shield raised. As the power of Majora's Mask flows through Ganon, he lets out a roar, and shoots a lightning bolt from his trident, which Link just manages to deflect off to the side with the Mirror Shield. Happy: Uh, Link? I don't like the look of this... Link: And you think I do? Just sit back and shoot with your sword, if you're afraid to get in close. Ganon: So, Link, what do you think of your chances now? You will not find it an easy task to defeat me now. Long have I suffered, longing for the day when I finally crush you! Puny kid! This is the end for you! With that, Ganon charges straight at Link. Link: Tyron, Karina, go left and right! Happy, get behind him! Attack wherever you can! Link dodges to the side as Ganon thrusts his trident at him, and then blocks another blow with his shield. Link jumps back, takes aim, and fires an energy bolt straight into Ganon's chest... No effect. Ganon: Hahaha! Fool! The Master Sword is of no use against me anymore! You shall pay for your foolishness! Ganon sweeps his trident around and catches Link in the side, knocking him a good 15 feet, until he hits the wall and falls unconscious. As his vision fades, he sees Ganon raising his trident high, ready to thrust downward for the finishing blow...

Lapras isn't a legendary Pokémon, because there's more than one, even if you can't catch more than one per game. (What I mean is, you could catch one in R/B/Y, and then another in G/S/C; you can't catch the legendary birds or Mewtwo again in G/S/C). Also, I'm pretty sure you can breed them. But yeah, I actually prefer Lapras to Articuno. It may be slower, but it's not a flying type (meaning, if a Articuno met another ice type, the other ice type would win because flying is weak to ice), and it can learn Sing. That, and a few other reasons. The only legendary Pokémon I use is Zapdos, and I may use Entei sometime, though I don't know how good it is yet. I'd use Moltres, but again, it's also part flying type.

Are you sure it's a swastika, and not a manji, which is a reversed swastika? If it is a swastika, I have no idea why it would be there. Maybe the artist for the card just saw the design and liked the way it looked.
-
Yeah, I've done that too, but not very much. Mainly just when I'm messing around with some enemies, not caring how much I get hit. (It's so easy to get Hearts in OOT, it's not even funny). Wait... When you shoot a Skullwalltula off a wall, doesn't it die? I don't think I've ever seen one on the ground, unless it's dying.

Well, from (almost) everything I've heard about FFXI, it sounds like I'm going to love it. I'm finally going to be able to play my character that I have in my head in a real game! I can't wait to go adventuring with other live people, instead of controlling a party of characters. That, in my oppinion, is what RPGs are supposed to be. You have your character, and you interact with other people. In effect, you are playing the role of someone else in a fantasy world, hence the name Role Playing Game, or RPG for short.

Ah, yes, that stupid bridge. Sometimes you have to actually slow down a bit, to go over it. And yeah, I meant you don't take damage when you roll. That is the whole point of the roll, I guess, but I haven't really found any other places where it's very useful.
-
NNNOOOOOOOOOO!!!!! Just when I think I've done everything, there's more to do! ...Ah, well, I guess I'll just have to play some more... I wonder how many matches I've played so far...
-
Like I said, I don't really care if you like it or not. That's your oppinion, and I'm not even really trying to change it. Heck, that's just one more person I won't have to compete with to get one of the pre-orders, lol. :)
-
Yeah, there are those pictures, too. They aren't as visible, though. And yeah, Talon has one of the Bowser things, too. I guess I usually forget about that, because I stare at Malon so much... Erm, I mean, you don't see Talon as much... Heheh, yeah, that's what I meant. :toothy:
Originally posted by Domon Well most people have forgotten what the old,old link looks like so we call the OOT version of Link the old version.
That's exactly my point. People don't know what they're talking about when they say they want the old Link back, because they think of the OOT version of Link as the old Link. So, I'm trying to get people to realize that the Link from OOT is actually the new Link, and to show them that the Link in the GCN game is actually pretty close to the real old Link.

An easy way to get around the eruptions on the way to Death Mountain Crater is to constantly roll, using the A button, through the eruption area. That way, you won't get hit much. And to make Epona jump a fence, make sure you're coming at it straight on, and it helps to use a carrot a bit before you get to the fence so you're going top speed.

Fantasy-based Advance Wars? I thought the Fire Emblem games were more like RPGs than strategy games... But yeah, I've heard that Nintendo is going to release the latest one on GBA in the US, but it's still not definite.

Hmm... out of all the cutscenes in N64 games that I've seen, I think my favorite is the ending to Super Mario 64... Yeah, I know, it's not from a Zelda game. I'm having a hard time believing it myself... The song that plays is one of my favorite songs on any video game, and it's quite satisfying to sit back and watch the ending after getting all 120 Power Stars, and beating Bowser by throwing him into three bombs with only three throws. And yeah, I've actually done that; I was quite good at timing the throws, since I went back and faught him quite a few times after beating the game. I used to beat him over and over, just to see the ending.

Yes, I did indeed read your whole post. Like Semjaza pointed out, the Link from OOT, MM, and SSBM are really the new Link. The picture of Link that I posted up would be the "old school" Link. I realize that you want the Link from OOT or SSBM, I just want you to realize that those are indeed the new Link, not the "old school" Link. I find it funny that most of the people that dislike the way Link looks in the GCN game say that they'd rather have the old Link, when in reality they want the new Link. Like I said, anymore I'm just trying to get people to understand what they're talking about.

Nope, it never tells where the Happy Mask Salesman got Majora's Mask. I also would like to know that, but alas, they probably won't ever say. And about that Mario mask, maybe Mario visited Hyrule? Either that, or they decided that since Bowser got a cameo (look at Malon in OOT, or Cremia and Romani in MM), Mario should too.

Okay, I guess I'll ask another question if no one else will. In Ocarina of Time, who first tells Link that he's a Hylian? Edit: Yep, it's the Young Deku Tree. Go ahead and ask a question.
