Well, I'd assume that the Happy Mask Salesman got Majora's Mask to try and keep it out of the wrong hands. As seen in Zelda: Majora's Mask, it can do a lot of damage, so he probably didn't want it just floating around out in the world waiting to be put on. Of course, it still ended up causing lots of trouble, but that wasn't exactly his fault... There's not much you can do if you get jumped from behind by a Skull Kid and knocked out...

He's talking about Zelda: Oracle of Ages and Zelda: Oracle of Seasons for the GBC. Specifically, he's asking if people think Veran (the end boss in Ages) or Onox (the end boss in Seasons) is harder to beat.
-
Well, I can tell you how to beat it, but there aren't really any tips for the fight... I found Bongo Bongo to be one of the easier bosses, once I found out how to hit it... First off, you'll want to have the Lens of Truth and the Fairy Bow equiped. Z Target (you don't have to use the Z Targeting, but it makes it easier) one of the hands, and shoot it with an arrow from the Fairy Bow; the hand will be stunned momentarily. Now shoot the other hand, and turn on the Lens of Truth. Z Target the big eye on the boss's main body, and shoot it with an arrow; it will fall onto the drum, and be in reach of your sword. Run up to the eye and slash in repeatedly, until it recovers. Now repeat the process, until Bongo Bongo is defeated. Like I said, there really aren't any tips, you just have to be good at avoiding the hands. Also, it'll help if you have the Biggest Quiver, which lets you hold 50 arrows at a time. If you have that, you won't have to conserve you arrows, so you'll be able to take more shots at the hands without fear of running out of arrows. If you do run out of arrows the Longshot will also work, but it's slower than arrows, so it's harder to hit with.

Um, no, Golden Sun: The Lost Age is a sequel to the first Golden Sun, not a prequel. Just take a look at this page from www.nintendo.com. "The Lost Age picks up where Golden Sun left off, with characters from the original game regrouping to prevent the destruction of their world." Having never actually played any of those games, I can't give you an oppinion on which I think is best, but I can tell you what I've heard from other people... I've barely heard anything bad about Golden Sun, and I've heard a few people say they liked it better than Final Fantasy VII. About Breath of Fire, I've heard it can get a little boring at times, though I don't know why; like I said, this is just what I've heard. Lastly, I really haven't much of anything about Tactics Ogre: The Knight of Lodis, other than it's more of a strategy RPG. I myself am thinking of buying Golden Sun, because I've heard so many good things about it, and I need another RPG since I'm almost done replaying FFVII.

You have one carpenter left, if you've already rescued three. If you've already beaten the Shadow Temple, then the next thing you'll have to do is rescue the other carpenter. Then you'll head towards the last temple; the Spirit Temple.

It'll only counter with Chocobuckle if the Chocobo is on a level that's a multiple of four, though; otherwise, Lv4 Suicide will miss. You'll probably want to use Sense on it first, to make sure it has a level that's a multiple of four. And mastering All Materia goes pretty quick, actually, with the Apocalyps and Scimitar. Just go and fight the enemies in the forest around Mideel. Groups of three enemies gives you 240 AP, and groups of four enemies gives you 320 AP. 240 AP x 3 = 720 AP per fight. 320 AP x 3 = 960 AP per fight. It takes 35,000 AP to master an All Materia, so, at the very most, it'll only take about 50 fights to master five of them (if you have all the slots of the Apocalyps and Scimitar filled with them). 50 fights really doesn't take that long, if you're towards the end of the second disc or on the third disc, because you'll be killing the enemies with one hit each using your normal attacks (the stronger type of enemies around there only have 2,000 HP).

Yes, it is very good! The only things that have stopped me from buying other wireless controllers before are: 1. All of them were third party controllers that didn't feel the same as the official Nintendo ones. 2. Infra-red is a crappy way to do it, since you have to be pointing the controller at the system at all times for it to work. The WaveBird solves both of these problems, leaving only the matter of your batteries running out in the middle of a game... Which you're not going to be able to get around, with a wireless controller... I figure that if my batteries run out in the middle of a game, I'll either have one of my friends pause the game while I switch out the old batteries for two new ones (if I'm playing with other people), or I'll dive towards the console and grab one of my other controllers and pause the game with that (if I'm playing alone). In the case of the second option, it won't be pretty, but it'll work. :toothy: :twitch:

Ooo! Sounds good! I remember playing Soul Blazer when I was little, when my brother rented it. I didn't get very far (I was only about 7 years old, and not very good at most games), but it was fun. I might have to look into this. It pisses me off that the US didn't get it, though... It seems there are actually a lot of good games that are never brought over to the US... It's annoying as heck to hear about good games like this, and then learn that you'll have to import them. Blegh... But, at least you don't have to worry about not being able to play imported Japanese SNES games! All that's stopping the Japanese games being played on a US SNES are two little plastic tabs down in the cartridge slot on the SNES. If you use a pair of pliers, you can take them right out, and you can then play Japanese games (we did this to our SNES, and it worked fine).

I'd love to do this, but my PC would probably need to be upgraded to run the software, and I don't have the money to upgrade right now... I'll definitely be finding out more about this, though. If I can run the software, I might do it. *bookmarks www.digipen.edu*

Well, seeing as I don't know which Small Keys you've already gotten, I'll just post the Small Key Guide in the walkthrough from www.zelda.com. It tells where all six Small Keys are.

Um... what the heck? ...In english, please? Edit: Yes, it is rather funny, though it's hard to die from it unless you just let them hit you or you have very little life when you do it. It doesn't just happen in OOT and MM, though. That started in A Link to the Past, on the SNES. And by the way, I changed the title so it'll show up on the list of threads.

Um... catch better Chocobos? That's really weird, I've never had that happen before. Maybe it just won't let you put weak Chocobos in the stables? Try catching a Chocobo in a different area, and see if it does it again.

Yeesh... I remember I had trouble with this too, but I was playing the SNES version (FFIII), though I wouldn't think it'd make a difference. I didn't quite understand how to do the Blitzes... I would push the A button, and the cursor would go up to Sabin, and then I'd hit the A button again because I thought you had to select Sabin to do the Blitz, and then I'd put in the button combo... Well, I finally figured out that you hit the A button on the Blitz command, then, while the cursor is on Sabin, you put in the button combo, then hit the A button again to enter the Blitz... Stupid me, lol. :cross: :twitch: Obviously there is no A button on the PSX controller, but you get the idea... Hopefully you're not having the same problem I did...

I believe you get 1,400,000 Gil for selling a mastered All Materia. I mastered 8 All Materia and sold them to pay for all the Sylkis Greens that I fed to my Chocobos when I was breeding them. I think I still have a few million Gil left over, lol. And a good way to get your limit up fast, if the character has a level that's a multiple of four, is to go to the area around the Chocobo Ranch and let the monsters use Lv4 Suicide on you. If you can survive it (it helps to have a couple high level HP Plus Materia, so you'll have 9999 HP), your Limit Meter will jump up quite a bit.

Okay, first off, the mask is called Majora's Mask because it contains the evil spirit of Majora, a great evil being, who's spirit was imprisoned in the mask when it could not be defeated. (Kind of like how Ganon couldn't be defeated, only imprisoned in the Sacred Realm, but only Majora's spirit survived so it had to be imprisoned in something instead of somewhere). Whoever wears the mask in pretty much controlled by the mask, unless they're powerful enough to resist. As seen in Zelda: Majora's Mask, the Skull Kid was pretty much completely controlled by Majora's Mask. If you're asking because of what just happened in the Zelda: The Human Realm RPG, I'd think Ganon would be able to resist the control of Majora's spririt. Of course, he would still get the power of Majora, in addition to his own, which is very bad.

You get the Hookshot after beating Master Stalfos (the miniboss for Level 5) four times. And there are 20 Secret Shells that you can get. There are, however, more than 20 places you can get one. If you accidentally miss one, it'll pop up somewhere else, so it's always possible to get 20.
-
First off, I actually read all of that... Secondly, does anyone know where I can get a life? I figure that anyone with enough time on their hands to actually read or write all that doesn't have one... :twitch: But actually, it was kind of funny... Like he said, don't take it seriously.

Well, it's really just a matter of oppinion... Different people are going to think different characters are better... And that pretty much makes this a favorite thread, which are against the rules. Thread Closed

I take it you mean for fighting Dark Link? And she'd find out why before she gets the Longshot, since you get the Longshot just after defeating Dark Link. And by the way, the Biggoron's Sword works better. I suggest completing the trading sequence so you'll have the Biggoron's Sword before you enter the Water Temple. It'll help a lot, since it does twice as much damage as the Master Sword. And if you have trouble with Dark Link (I'm betting you will, since it's actually one of the hardest fights in the game if you don't know any tricks to beat him), try going to this thread. There's a bunch of tricks for defeating Dark Link in it, so that should help if you can't beat it on your own.

To get to the rapids ride, you have to have gotten the Hookshot, which is in Level 5: Catfish's Maw. From the keyhole that opens Level 4: Angler's Cave, go right and you'll have to cross the river with the Hookshot. Just make you way around to the south-eastern corner of the tiny island, and there'll be a little house where you can pay 100 Rupees (I think it's 100) to go on a raft ride.

Whee! Warlock is finally back and posting again! Edit: Okay, he said he was going to be posting... GET OVER HERE, WARLOCK! NOW!!! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The three start walking down the path again, which is starting to get more and more shaded by the trees overhead. The group is starting to get out of the hills, and into the forest. Everything is quiet and peaceful, and a slight breeze is blowing from the south. For a long while, no one speaks, and nothing happens. They just plod along down the path, which will eventually lead them through Kyue's Swamp. Drake: Starting to get a bit humid. The Swamp must be getting close. Cid: The types of trees are also starting to change. Not as many pines and firs anymore... Not sure what some of these kinds are... Drake: ...Hey Cid, wanna see a weird trick? Cid: ...What kind of trick? Flash: Hey, is it the one you showed me? Drake nods, and grins at Cid Cid: Um... okay... Drake lifts up his staff, which he had been using as a walking stick, and holds it in both hands. He raises it to eye level, and closes his eyes. His hands and the staff faintly glow white for a second, and then Drake lowers his staff... Suddenly, a man wearing black armor comes charging through the forest across the path, and runs straight into Drake. They both fall over from the impact, and lay there dazed for a couple seconds. Flash and Cid both stare, and try not to laugh. Drake: What the heck happened?! Warlock: Ow... you tell me! They both stand up and Warlock stares at Drake, quietly laughing.. Warlock: Dude, what's wrong with your hair? Drake: I cast Float on it... You don't like it? Warlock: Well, it looks pretty stupid, that's for sure! Drake glares at Warlock, staff at the ready. Warlock unsheathes his broadsword, and points it at the floating ponytail. Warlock: You want it cut off? Drake: If you try it, you'll regret it. Warlock: Lets see what you can do, then! Warlock swings his sword at the ponytail, which is standing straight up in the air. Drake ducks and rolls to the side, stands up and places both hands firmly on his quarterstaff. Warlock turns, and makes a great arc with his sword aimed at Drake's side. Drake holds out his staff and blocks the blow with the center of the staff. He then brings the bottom end of the staff up to thrust it at Warlocks belly, but the stab is parried with the guard on Warlock's sword. Warlock swings his sword up, forcing Drake's staff up at the same time, until the staff it at Drake's eye level. Then Warlock swings the sword over to the side and down, but Drake just manages to avoid getting his arm cut off by bringing the other end of the staff up to block the sword. Drake jumps back away from another swing, and Warlock takes a hand off his sword and holds it out, palm first, and shoots a fireball at Drake's head. Drake blocks it with his staff, and the fireball dissipates into the air. Drake: To bad I know Dispel... That would've hurt! Drake grins, and jumps back at Warlock, just as Flash tries to step between the two. Drake ends up hitting flash right in the face with his staff, and he staggers back a few steps. Flash swears under his breath for a few seconds, and then steps back to watch the two again. Drake: Oo! sorry Flash! Cid: Should I stop them? Flash: No, I want to see how Drake does... Stinkin' [censored] hit me in the [censored] face! Drake jumps at Warlock again, and brings one end of the staff around and then the other, and the first one again, in a quick combo striking high, low, and on the side. Warlock parries the blows, and counters with a quick thrust at Drake's chest, which narrowly misses when Drake sidesteps. As he does this, he casts Haste on himself, and brings an end of his staff up and scores a hit directly on the left side of Warlock's helmet. The staff rings off of the helmet, and Warlock is momentarily dazed. The effect quickly wears off, though, and Warlock brings the sword around in a slash aimed at Drake's ponytail, but Drake dodges... But he's not quick enough, and the swords guard catches him in the side of the head. As he falls to the ground stunned, he manages one last swing, and catches Warlock in the groin, right in a joint in the armor. He falls to the ground beside Drake, though for a different reason. Flash: Now that's gotta hurt! Cid: Wow... a tie...

And thanks to my friend, for telling me about this! :) Well, here's mine. I actually played around with it for awhile to get this: In order to understand the console war you need to realize that everything is controlled by a evil corporation called Microsoft, that's made up of Bill Gates with help from people that hate Nintendo. The conspiracy first started during November 2001 in Redmond, WA. They have been responsible for many events throughout history, including the release of the Xbox. Today, members of the conspiracy are everywhere. They can be identified by a large, green "x" on their forehead. They want to bankrupt Nintendo and imprison resisters in Nintendo R&D using the huge Xbox controllers to beat the resisters into submission. In order to prepare for this, we all must buy a GameCube and Game Boy Advance. Since the media is controlled by Microsoft, we should get our information from Nintendo's spy network using the GCN Broadband Adapter or Modem Adapter. Okay, so it makes me sound a bit biased against Microsoft... I'm not, I was just messing round with it... You could easily turn it around by just switching some names. :) It's fun, everyone should try it!

The two birds' names are Latios and Latias (I'm pretty sure about the second name, but not positive). I think the blue one in Latios. And I think they're related somehow... I can't think of any other reason they'd look so similar...

Link: Don't count on it! Link deflects a sword blow from a nearby Moblin with his Mirror Shield, and promptly chops it's head clean off. He turns and stabs another in the gut, which falls to the ground as Link pulls the Master Sword free of the body. Link: This is nothing, I've taken on worse by myself and lived! Just cover me for a couple seconds, and when I yell duck, duck quickly! Link holds out his sword behind him, his shield covering his front, and the Master Sword starts to glow a faint blue. Tyron, Karina, and Happy try and hold off the Moblins, but the ring is closing in on them. Tyron: Whatever you're doing, Link, you better do it quick! Link: Almost there.... Almost there... By now, the Master Sword is glowing a bright red, with light pulsing from it. Link: DUCK!!! Karina, Tyron, and Happy all dive for the ground, as Link unleashes his powered-up Spin Attack. The bright red waves of energy pulsing from the Master Sword rip through the Moblins like a hot knife through butter, as Link spins around, dealing death on all sides. Happy, Tyron, and Karina stand up when it's over, to see a ring of bodies surrounding them, and a few scared Moblins still standing, that were on the outside of the group. Link: Booyah! Karina: Well, that certainly did the trick... Tyron: Dude, there's more coming... Link: ...I guess it's not my lucky day today, either... Link sighs, takes aim, and shoots an energy bolt from the Master Sword into the nearest Moblin, killing it instantly. Karina: I thought you couldn't shoot while you were wounded?! Link: The Triforce works wonders for healing. Link grins, and shoots another Moblin, before slashing the left arm off of one trying to sneak up from behind. It screams as it sees it's arm fall to the ground, and runs off into the woods. Link: Well, you guys gonna help of what? Just because I've taken out worse by myself doesn't mean it was easy! Link takes a Bomb out of his Bomb Bag and throws it into a group of Moblins, and is rewarded with the screams of three Moblins getting caught in the blast.

I went out today and got a WaveBird, and it's awsome! It feels just like a regular controller, except without the cord (obviously, lol). It's even the same weight, including the two AA batteries! It works perfectly, without any lag or anything, and it works from as far away as you'd want (once the screen starts getting hard to see, I think that's too far, lol). I'm absolutely loving it, especially since I don't have to deal with the cord getting in the way when I put it away in my System House. If the cords are tangled, the drawer that holds the controllers won't shut sometimes, but I don't have to worry about that anymore for 1P. I've yet to see if two AA batteries do actually work for around 100 hours, because I just got it, but I'm betting they do, since the WaveBird has lived up to all of Nintendo's other claims about it. If you're going to get another controller, get a WaveBird instead of a regular controller. It's definitely worth the extra $10, even if it doesn't have a rumble feature! (I've never liked the rumble feature anyway). I'm still having fun with just being able to walk anywhere around the room while playing, lol. :) WaveBird Wireless Controller:
