1. No, you won't still be in the game after you disconnect... So no, you won't be able to take damage... And was that for the US too, or just the UK? I'll probably get it, if there's no fee. From what I've heard about it, it sounds pretty cool. And if I do get it, I'm going to have to get that keyboard/controller! That thing just looks cool, lol. :twitch: It'd be cool to have the GCN controls for playing, and then having the keyboard for typing messages and stuff, too. So far, the only PC game where I've prefered the keyboard and mouse is Quake II (and probably other FPS games too, though), because it's really easy to look around with the mouse. For just about any other game, I prefer a controller.
2. My friend has this game, and I got little info on the Chao Garden... So I might be able to help a bit... Okay, I'm pretty sure that a Chao needs a shovel and a watering can to plant a seed. I'm not sure how to get them, though, but I think you have to win them or something like that. Sorry I can't help more. :(
3. Well, there were those school shootings awhile ago... I remember just after one of them, they found Doom 2 or something like that on the kid's computer, and we're trying to put some of the blame on that... But I really doubt that had anything to do with it... I think people are just trying to use video games as an excuse... Personally, I think movies influence people more than video games. I mean, there are a lot more movies with violence in them than there are games.
4. Okay, I know the room you're talking about... and it's only three rooms to the left of the boss room... :toothy: But anyway, you have to have the water level at it's highest, so that both the first and second floors are underwater. Then you'll be able to swim from the entrance to the room, down in font of the diamond-shaped block, and you'll be able to use the Switch Hook since you're underwater and not on the surface.
5. Link wakes up from the sound of knocking, and jumps up off the couch. Link: Urgh! Link quickly sits back down, as he remembers his wound. He starts massaging his side, the cut not yet fully healed, and now hurting again. Karina walks into the room where Link was sleeping. Karina: Well, it looks like you're already up... Your side okay? Link: Well, it was, until I was startled and jumped up off the couch... I kinds twisted around, and it doesn't feel too good anymore... But I'm okay, it's not hurting near as much as it did when I first got it. Tyron walks into the room, followed by Happy. Link: Happy, you're okay! What happened to you? I found the blood in back of the house, but I got.. ah... delayed... and couldn't go after you... Happy: Some weird guys in suits carried me off to this strange place, but I managed to escape with my Fierce Deity's Mask and Bunny Hood. Heheh... I didn't go in the corner... Happy grins. Tyron: Um... okay, I don't think I want an explanation about that... Karina: Hey, what's that you've got there? Happy: Um... it's a book... Link peers over at the book, and catches a glimpse of the cover. Link: ..."Hooked On Phonics"? ...Um, right... Happy: Yeah... so what?! Link: Nothing... enjoy the book...
6. Actually, I mainly base my argument on the fact that I've only ever seen four WEAPONs coming out of the crater... Including Ultimate WEAPON... There's Ultimate, the black dragon one. There's Diamond, the grey one with the red jewel thing in it's chest. There's Emermald, the big blue one. And then there's Ruby, the red one with the long arms, that you only see from a distance when it's flying off... I've never seen a fifth WEAPON in there...
7. The reason why it didn't work is probably because you used a Friend Ball... If you had used an Ultra Ball, it probably would have caught it... Friend Balls really aren't that useful, unless you're trying to catch a Pokémon that only evolves when it's friendly enough (such as Golbat). Then it helps, because it'll already be somewhat friendly with you. It does depend a lot on what type of ball you use, for most Pokémon. For a Pokémon as weak as a level 13 Yanma, it depends a lot more on the type of ball, than it does a strong Pokémon like a level 70 Mewtwo. (I'm pretty sure that's the level Mewtwo starts at). I'm thinking you actually did get pretty lucky by catching that Lapras with a Friend Ball... Of course, I suppose Lapras isn't a Legendary Pokémon, so that would help...
8. Something you have to realize when discussing this: When you fight Emerald WEAPON, there isn't going to be as much detail as in the CG scene, where it gets it's head blown off. So no, it's not going to look exactly the same... Also, I only remember seeing four WEAPONs fly out of the crater... Not five...
9. Not that much original?! It's the same type of game as the first three Metroid games, but that doesn't mean it's going to be the same as them. There are already a few new gameplay mechanics added that we've seen, and there are probably be more. Also, there'll be new weapons, and stuff like that. It sounds like it'll be on a totally new planet, so you'll be exploring totally new areas... From what I've heard and seen, it looks like it's going to have quite a bit added, to make it stand out from the other Metroid games. Just look at this screen shot: There's one new ability right there... Hanging from the ceiling (obviously only some ceilings, but it's still cool). I've also seen screen shots of Samus climbing up ladders, and hanging off a ledge. There's probably even more abilities than this, that we just haven't seen yet. I don't think this game is going to be too similar to the other Metroid games, it looks like there's going to be plenty of new stuff. Also, what to make of this? To me, it looks like there are two Samuses there... On the left, it looks like Samus from Super Metroid wearing the Varia, and on the right it looks like Samus in her new suit, charging up a shot, or something like that... I'm very curious as to what exactly is going on in that screen shot. Edit: Okay, I just watched the trailer again, and at the end it shows you standing there, and then the Samus on the left in the screen shot runs onto the screen, shoots you, and then you die... This raises a few questions, first of which on my mind is: Is there a Vs. mode? Other than that, the only thing I can think of that would explain it, would be if there was an enemy that imitated you... But, then wouldn't it look like you, and not the Samus from Super Metroid? ...So many questions... :cross:
10. Yes, delays are annoying, but look at it this way: Would you rather have a good, long, enjoyable game and have to wait a bit longer, or have a rushed, shoddy game that's not very much fun to play, but without the delay? Personally, I want them to take as much time as they need, to make the game as good as it can be. They did this with Ocarina of Time (I can't ever remember how many times it got delayed), and it turned out to be a very good game, even compared to the other Zelda games. As long as the GCN game stands up to the other Zelda games, I'll be happy, no matter how long it takes.

OOS and OOA

Okay, the question has already been answered... It doesn't really matter what order you play the games... Thread Closed
12. No, not that Deku Scrub. It's something else, but it's only a few screens away from the Lost Woods.
13. I put this in a new thread, since you weren't giving/asking for help. Well, I haven't fought Onox just yet, but Veran was pretty easy... I lost about 5 Hearts during the fight, with the Blue Ring on, so normally that'd be about 10 Hearts, and I came into the fight missing about 2 Hearts, I think... So, she would've almost made me use my Magic Potion if I hadn't had the Blue Ring. From what I've heard, though, Onox sounds pretty easy to beat, also.
14. Lets see... *counts* ...Yeah, there are 12 all together. 13 if you count Link's Awakening DX, but that's just a remake of Link's Awakening that really doesn't have much besides color added; the hidden dungeon really isn't that big. 1. Zelda (Game & Watch) 2. The Legend of Zelda (NES) 3. Zelda II: The Adventure of Link (NES) 4. The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past (SNES) 5. The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening (GB) 6. Link: The Faces of Evil (CDi) 7. Zelda: The Wand of Gamelon (CDi) 8. Zelda's Adventure (CDi) 9. The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time (N64) 10. The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask (N64) 11. The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Ages (GBC) 12. The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons (GBC) I'm pretty sure that's the order that they were released in, but I don't know for the three CDi games. That, and the two Oracle games were released on the same day, I just put Ages first.
15. Whenever I start thinking about whether aliens exist or not, I squash the thought... I think about something else... I dunno, it just annoys me to think about it. Same thing with thinking about whether something like this is true... I'm betting it's just someone looking for attention, though. Also, I've come to the conclusion that if aliens actually do exist, the universe is so huge that we'd probably never make contact with them. So, yeah, it's pretty unlikely that they'd just happen to find this planet, if they did exist.
16. I'm "D-man" and now SS is "Space Boy"? Yeesh... Personally, I don't think this is true. Of course, I don't believe in aliens, either, so that'd be a big part of why I think this is fake.
17. Well, it all really just comes down to pure luck... It's possible to catch Mewtwo without doing any damage, it's just very unlikely... Your brother seems to have gotten extremely lucky. But yes, it seems to me like using a bunch of balls on a Pokémon will weaken it. Afterall, they do have to struggle to keep it from capturing them, so it really should tire them out after awhile. Of course, sometimes you'll catch a Pokémon with the first ball you throw... This happened to me when I was trying to catch Lugia in Gold: I had had to reset the game three times, becuase I had either run out of balls or all of my Pokémon got knocked out (my Pokémon were about level 50, Lugia was level 70). I finally manage to put it to sleep and get it down into the red on my fourth try, and I throw an Ultra Ball at it... And it gets it, first try... When just a couple minutes ago, I had thrown about 20 balls at it (some were special ones, like Heavy Balls, though), and only a couple of them even got close to capturing it. So you see, it really is totally based on luck, for capturing the Legendary Pokémon... There's no other way to explain it...
18. Has anyone heard anything about a keyboard for the GCN being released? It seems like it'd be kind of necessary, if you're going to be talking to other people in the game. Actually, I did hear something about a GCN controller/keyboard being made, come to think of it... It was a keyboard with the GCN buttons and handles on the ends, or something like that... I think that'd be cool, but I haven't heard anything about it for a few months.
19. I don't know about any of the new weapons and stuff, but I do know a bit about the story... The game starts with Samus traveling on a space ship, which gets attacked by a lifeform called X... Samus is mortally wounded, and only survives by taking the Metroid Vaccine (I'm not sure, but I think I heard that this gives her some funky new abilities or something). After this, she's able to battle the lifeform known as X... And that's about all I know... You can go here, though, to find screen shots and a video clip from www.nintendo.com. I'm really looking forward to this game, though, because I really enjoyed Super Metroid. I got it for Christmas one year, and I was playing it for months and months. (Okay, so part of that was due to the fact that I was young and wasn't very good back then, lol). :toothy: But anyway, we can expect the same sort of game as the original three, since it's being developed by the original Metroid team, like CrimsonDragon said. I'm definitely buying this game, it looks like it's even going to be as good as Super Metroid!
20. Both the Fairy Bow and Hookshot/Longshot will stun them. The Fairy Bow is easier, though, because it's longer range and faster. The ones outside won't get up until you exit the area or go into the fortress, like PrettygurlRei said, I'm pretty sure. But, the ones inside will get back up after a bit, so you have to be quick.

Boss Help

Okay, I know I posted how to beat Veran somewhere in this forum... *searches... and searches... and searches...* AH HA! Finally found it! (After about 15 minutes of searching, lol). Well, here it is: At first, Veran will be in Queen Ambi's body. Shoot Mystery Seeds at her to make Veran come out, and then use the Long Hook to pull her away from Ambi, then use the Sword. When Veran transforms into a winged demon thing, jump away from her fireballs with the Roc's Feather, and attack with your sword as she flies by. As a turtle, jump away from her with the Roc's Feather when she hops around, and hit her with your sword when her face appears. As a spider, stun her with Bombs and then use your sword, while avoiding the webs. As a bee, jump over the stingers with the Roc's Feather and hit her with the sword when you can. Kill the swarms to get Hearts. Veran will usually cycle through her different transformations a few times before you beat her, so you might see each form more than once.
22. What do you think of them, then? Personally, I like the new cel-shaded look better than the realistic look like in OOT and MM. It reminds me of the old Zelda games, like A Link to the Past (my favorite). *gets nostalgic and starts drooling, thinking about the A Link to the Past remake being made for GBA*
23. Well, there is something that can tell you the way to get through... It's near the Lost Woods, though, and isn't too hard to find... If you look around for a bit, you should find it.
24. Ugh, not that rumor again... :cross: There is only one Zelda game for the GCN in development right now, and that's the cel-shaded one that was shown at E3... I read an interview with Miyamoto and he said he decided not to go with the realistic graphics; that means that there is no realistic Zelda, because he decided to go with the cel-shaded graphics instead. That, and making two games at once like that would be very hard, trying to make them the same, but also trying to make one more realistic. *sigh* ...If they made it look traditional, it would look like it does now... Go look at the picture I posted a couple posts back, that's what Link is supposed to look like in the original game. If they made it look traditional, Link would look like that, or close to it... Which he does...
25. Lol... A couple days ago, I was called a "dirty little otaku" by one of my brothers, because I like Pokémon a lot...
