Yes, that is something I'm really not liking... I'm hoping that they'll realize this, and make it so you can at least choose which server you want to be on. That way you could make sure you and your friends are on the same server, by everyone choosing the same one. But, I've heard that you don't even get to choose which you start out on... Hopefully Square will make some changes before the US release...

Yes, I realize that, but there are going to be some people that buy it. I mean, even if it only sold about 10,000 copies, like in Japan, that's still quite a few people to interact with... That, and I'm going to be getting the PC version, which will come out after the PS2 version. So, I'll get to see how well it does here in the US before I buy it. If it barely sells at all, though, no I wouldn't buy it. You're right, though, there's no point to an online game if there are no other players. But, that 10,000 was only the sales for the release day... That number has no doubt grown quite a bit since then...

88.2% ...I guess that sounds about right... Eh, whatever... I agree, though, I think it's wrong to have sex before you're married... Getting a low score doesn't make you "cool."

Link slowly stands up, with Tyron and Karina supporting him. They start to walk back to Karina's house, trying to go as fast as they can. Link: Ugh... that sword... It's not a normal blade... A cut that small shouldn't do this... Tyron: What about my sword?! It didn't do a thing, why?! Link: The sword I wield in the legendary Master Sword... It's a magical blade, made to defeat and repel evil... Most other blades won't even scratch Ganon... He's... too powerful... Tyron looks at Link, puzzled. Tyron: I can see there's a lot to talk about... Karina: We're almost there, just a little farther... They finally get to the house, and Link lies down on the couch. Karina bandages the wound in Link's side, then sits down in a chair. Link: Thank you... I should be better in a couple days, the effect of the cut is already wearing off... Tyron: So tell me, what exactly was that? Link takes a deep breath, and slowly lets it out. Link: It's a long story... But I suppose I've got time... Back in Hyrule, in the world that I come from, Ganon is known as the "King of Evil." He was once a man named Ganondorf, until he took the Triforce... Tyron: Wait a minute, what's this Triforce? Link: The Triforce is a great magical relic, which was left by the Three Goddesses that created the world that I come from. It grants the wish of anyone who touches it... But, if the person that touches it has an evil heart, the Triforce will split into its three pieces; Power, Wisdom, and Courage. The person will get the piece which matches the person's desires best. If they wish for power, they will get the Triforce of Power, if they wish for Wisdom, they will get the Triforce of Wisdom, and if they wish for courage, they will get the Triforce of Courage... Like I said, Ganondorf managed to get the Triforce, and it split up into its three pieces... Ganondorf got the Triforce of Power... The two other pieces went to a person that possessed great wisdom, and a person that possessed great courage. Princess Zelda, also one of the Seven Sages that sealed Ganon away (I'll explain in a bit), got the Triforce of Wisdom. I got the Triforce of Courage, though I didn't know it at the time. Tyron: You didn't know you got it? Link: When the Triforce splits, the person that gets a piece necessarily get the physical piece, it sort of... inhabits them, I guess... That's what you saw earlier, when I was fighting Ganon. That was the mark on the back of my left hand, and that's what was giving off the light. Right now, I posses all three pieces of the Triforce, though they aren't manifested physically right now. But anyway, Ganondorf got the Triforce of Power, and reigned over Hyrule for seven years... When I finally gathered Six Sages, I met Zelda, the Seventh Sage. Ganondorf, however, seemed to have found her, and kidnapped her. I went to his castle, and rescued her after a great battle with Ganondorf. But, it turned out that I didn't kill him... He rose up, and used the Triforce of Power to transform himself into the hideous beast you saw... Both me and the Seven Sages managed to seal him in the Sacred Realm, which is where the Triforce was kept, but we weren't strong enough to kill him. We managed to get the Triforce of Power from him, though... But, it doesn't look like the seal was strong enough... It seems he has found a way to travel to other worlds. No doubt he returned to the Sacred Realm, just before my Silver Arrow hit him, to regain his strength. It will be awhile before he returns, though. I got him pretty good, using the Triforce... Using it that much is exhausting, though, and I doubt I'll be able to use it again for a while. Karina: That's... quite a story... There's more about you than it looks... Tyron: Yes, there certainly is... Why did he taunt you about killing him in hatred, though? What was all that about? Link: If I used the Triforce in hate, then I would be overwhelmed by evil. Likewise, if I use the Master Sword for evil, it will reject me, and I will no longer be able to wield it. The Triforce would have split if I had used it against Ganon in cold blood, and... And I don't know what would've happened then... I try and use the Triforce as little as possible when carrying it. Usually the Triforce is manifested physically and kept in Hyrule Castle. I am its keeper, and protector. But when I started traveling away from the castle, on a trip to the forest where I grew up, it came to me. I guess somehow it knew I would need it, or something... I still don't fully understand how the Triforce works, or what it's capable of... Link starts to get sleepy, blinking to keep his eyes open. Karina: It's late, you should get some rest... When Karina looks over at Link, he's already asleep on the couch...

Since when did graphics become important for Game Boy Pokémon games? I mean, really, if you want good graphics, go look at the art, or play Pokémon Stadium... I'm still waiting to hear about the story, which is what I'm concerned about. Like I've said before, if it's basically the same story as the previous six games, I'm not going to buy it... Just traveling around collecting badges gets old after awhile, if you ask me... But anyway, you have to remember that this game isn't going to be released for quite awhile... They've got plenty of time to work on the graphics, if they want...

From what I've heard, online games aren't as big in Japan as in the US... I don't know if it's true, though, but it would explain why FFXI isn't off to a very good start... But anyway, I'm going to wait for the US release, to judge how well it's doing. By that time it will have been out for awhile in Japan, so we'll know whether it ended up doing good or bad, and we'll also get to see how well the release in the US goes. From what I've heard about the actual gameplay, though, it sounds pretty good to me. I'm going to be deciding whether or not to buy it from the gameplay, not from how well it's selling.

Gaming Need a plan to destroy Sephiroth in FFVII
Desbreko replied to G/S/B Master's topic in Noosphere
I'm talking about fighting both forms... I use the same strategy for fighting both of them, and I never even switch from the first party when fighting Bizzaro-Sephiroth... (I suppose I was level 99, though, and doing 9999 damage with my normal attacks, heheh). :toothy: And Bizzaro-Sephiroth is the first form, where you may have to split up into two or three parties (it depends on how well you do in the fight with Jenova-SYNTHESIS). Safer-Sephiroth is the second form, where you're only fighting with one party (the One-Winged Angel). You may just not be high enough level to beat him yet... If you haven't done all the side-quest stuff, try going and doing that stuff first, or maybe just level up some... I dunno, what levels are your party members at? -

Okay, I got it... There isn't a fee for the UK version of the game, but there is for the US version... I would be pissed about that, except that I don't even have a Dreamcast... :cross: Hopefully there won't be a fee for PSO Episode I & II on the GCN in the US, like I've been hearing... That would be really nice, if I end up buying it... If there's a fee in the US but it's free in the UK, then I'll be pissed, lol. ;)

Hmm, never thought of that... I suppose if the game is all set in All Range Mode, then I might buy it... That definitely would open up a lot of different things you could do with the levels, and dog fighting with the Star Wolf Team in Star Fox 64 was my favorite part in the game, so it'd be more like that throughout the whole game. That would be very fun, I really hope they make the game that way. I really didn't like only having the set flight corridors, because it was pretty much the same each time you played. That's the main reason why I never took much of an intrest in Star Fox 64, come to think of it.

Umm... Ganon was sealed in the Sacred Realm, which is actually in the same world as Hyrule... The Sacred Realm is just the place where the Triforce was kept... But, I'll ignore that for now and go with this fun little plot twist. :) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Link: He's right... This is my fight, not yours... Ganon: HAHAHAHA!!! Ganon lunges forward at Link, drawing a huge sword, and slashing at him. Link parries the blow with the Master Sword, and they lock blades. Ganon, however, is stronger and begins pushing his sword closer to Link. Ganon: Is that the best you can do, weakling? I don't know how I lost to you last time! Link: I'm not as weak... as you... THINK! Just as Ganon pushes forward to stab Link, Link fires an energy beam from the Master Sword straight into Ganon's face, point blank. Ganon stumbles backwards, momentarily stunned. Ganon: What is this?! Link: I've unlocked the full power of the Master Sword now... And, you don't have the Triforce of Power this time... The two begin circling each other... Ganon: And likewise, you don't posses the Triforce of Courage... Link: You're right, I don't... Link stares at Ganon as they circle each other, totally focused on his enemy... Ganon stares back... Link: This time, I have the WHOLE TRIFORCE!!! The Triforce mark on Link's left hand blazes with light, and all three parts are lit. Link dashes forward, Master Sword ready for a stab, and he sees the shock in Ganon's eyes. Ganon just manages to dodge to the side, and then he counters with a slash from his own sword, aimed at Link's side. Link turns and deflects the blow with the Mirror Shield, and the clang of metal on metal can be heard from a mile away. Link rolls to the side, and comes up swinging, just clipping Ganon's left leg. Ganon roars in pain, as he feels the cut of the blade, and he starts slashing at Link in a rage. Link jumps back quickly, and dodges slash after slash from the huge sword, looking for an opening. Link finds one, and rolls to the right, jumps up and under Ganon's legs, and slashes in a great ark up his back. This, however, isn't as effective as Link thought it would be. Ganon's armored back is tough, and only a small cut appears. Ganon turns, using his momentum for a great swing of his sword, and just catches Link in the side, as he jumps away. The cut, however, is no bigger than the one he inflicted on Ganon's leg. Tyron: That's it! I'm not staying out of this any longer! Tyron dashes at Ganon's back, and swings his sword in a great overhand slash, which clangs off of Ganon's shoulder. Ganon turns and kicks Tyron in the stomach, and then punches him, sending him flying into a tree. Ganon: AAAHAHAHAHA!!! Did you really think a normal blade could hurt me?! All you have done is ensured your own death! Ganon turns back to Link, and finds him staring up at him, almost a look of hate in his eyes. Ganon: Go ahead! Strike me down in your hatred! You know you can, with the power of the Triforce! Link: ...No... I'd become everything I've fought against... Everything I've tried to stop... I'd become... like you! Link closes his eyes for a second, and takes a deep breath, clearing his mind... When he opens them, the hatred is replaced by determination, and Link's face is devoid of emotion. Link: It's time to end this... Link runs at Ganon again, Master Sword ready, and the Triforce mark on his hand starts glowing again, even brighter than before. He slashes at Ganon over and over, the Master Sword flashing faster than the eye can see. Ganon parries blow after blow, but he begins to get tired. The power of the Triforce, however, is keeping Link going like he hadn't even fought yet. Link lands a blow, and Ganon roars in pain, and Link lands another blow, and another, and another... Soon Ganon's body is covered in cuts, and Link finally stops... When he does, he jumps backwards in a great summersault, to land a few yards away from Ganon. He drops the Master Sword and Mirror Shield as Ganon kneels, gasping for breath, and pulls his Bow from his back, and pulls a Silver Arrow from his quiver. He puts it on the bowstring, ready to fire. Link: ...It's over... Link fires the arrow directly at Ganon's head, but just before it makes contact, Ganon disappears... Link puts the secures the Bow back on his back, and picks up the Mirror Shield, returning it to its spot on his back... He then picks up the Master Sword, and wipes it clean of the black blood of Ganon on the grass, which starts to shrivel on contact with the foul blood. He then returns it to its sheath. Link: He won't be back for a while... Link gasps for breath, exhausted from the battle. Link: I got him pretty good... Too bad the Silver Arrow didn't get him... Link collapses to his knees, then falls over onto his good side, breathing heavily.

I've battles a lot more than 6,000 wild Pokémon, that's for sure... :flaming: There isn't some trick to find them more often, is there?

Ugh... I think the new male trainer looks even worse than the one in G/S/C... I think Ash is the best so far... Well, at least this new guy isn't wearing shorts... lol... *is remembering the trainers in R/B/Y, on Route 3* Somehow, though, I don't think those three new Pokémon will be your choices at the start of the game... I dunno, though, they might be, they just don't look like starting Pokémon to me... :twitch: Well, if they are, I'm also going to be choosing the middle one. Looks like a ghost type, which would be cool.

Well, I just got done doing the Chocobo breeding in Final Fantasy VII, and got Knights of the Round... And I started to wonder what other people named their Chocobos... The names I use or pretty straight-forward: Good Chocobo: Good Great Chocobo: Great River Chocobo: Blue Mountain Chocobo: Green Mountain-and-River Chocobo: Black Wonderful Chocobo: Wonder Gold Chocobo: Gold ...Simple and boring, lol... So, has anyone out there thought of any good names for their Chocobos?

Well, I think that if they were going to have player killing, they should have made it so you could choose whether you wanted to or not. If you choose no, you wouldn't be able to attack other players, and they wouldn't be able to attack you. If you choose yes, you'd only be able to attack other players that also chose yes... I think that's a pretty good way of doing it... But, I don't really care, seeing as how I would choose no anyway, and also because I'll be playing as a white mage... And white mages can't fight... I think I read somewhere that Square wants friendly interaction between players, though, or something like that, so that's why they didn't allow player killing.

Calvin and Hobbes is one of my favorite comic strips! I own eight of the collections: 1. The Calvin and Hobbes Lazy Sunday Book 2. The Indispensable Calvin and Hobbes 3. The Calvin and Hobbes Tenth Anniversary Book 4. Homicidal Psycho Jungle Cat 5. The Day Are Just Packed 6. There's Treasure Everywhere 7. Yukon Ho! 8. Calvin and Hobbes The eighth book is the first collection, and it has the first published comic strip in it: It's kind of neat to watch the way the characters change, as in how they look, from the earlier strips to the later ones. Here's my favorite one out of them all:

No, there will be other new Pokémon in the GBA version... How many, has yet to be revealed, though... I think they should add 49 new Pokémon, so as to make a total of 300 all together. I think that's plenty... Also, it'd be nice if about 10 of them were dark types, since there seem to be so few of them in the 251 in G/S/C... It'd be really nice to have something that could stand up to a Mewtwo... *wishes for a strong dark type to name "PsyKiller"* :toothy:

Link opened the front door of Karina's house, and didn't see Happy anywhere. He ran out the back door, and saw some blood on the outside wall. Link: Oh no... Link runs back the way he had come, to get Karina and Tyron. In the darkness, neither he or Karina saw each other, and they ran straight into each other. They both stood there for a few seconds, stunned, until they regained their senses. Link: Happy's been taken! He wasn't at the house, and I found some blood on the back wall! Where's Tyron?! We have to help Happy! Karina: He's back the way I came. He's not far... The pair runs back, until they find Tyron. Link: Come with me! We have to save Happy! He's been taken!

Yeah, it would limit the gameplay a bit, but I wish they'd at least put in something that would tie in to the others, even just a little. Even just a tiny little easter egg, to keep the limiting to a minimum... But, it's also fun to think up theories to connect all the games together, while still being semi-plausible... :toothy: I guess I'm happy either way, but it does get a bit annoying having half your theories contradicted when a new game is released... Even if it is fun to think up new ones... :twitch:

Well, there probably won't be anymore Zelda games for the GB/GBC (unless Capcom releases their remake of the original Zelda, but they probably won't from what I've heard), but there's one in development for the GBA! It's a remake of Zelda: A Link to the Past (which was originally on the Super NES, released back in '92). This new GBA Zelda game also includes a multi-player mode...Yes, you read right, a multi-player Zelda... I've heard that the multi-played mode will be called Four Swords, since you can have up to four people playing at once. You each take control of a Link (there are four different colors), and work your way through dungeons designed so that the players will need to cooperate in order to proceed. At the same time, though, you're all competing to get as many Rupees as you can... So it's kind of half cooperative, and half competitive... I'm really looking forward to this game, for two reasons. First, Zelda: A Link to the Past is my favorite game of all time, and I'd love to play through it again. Second, because of the multi-player mode. I've had lots of ideas about a multi-player Zelda game, and I'm very eager to see how Nintendo does it. And about your other question, it has to do with the first and second Zelda games... The first game was entirely about Zelda, even though you played as Link... You didn't know who Link was, where he came from, nothing... You just knew that Zelda had sent Impa out to find someone that could recover the eight pieces of the Triforce of Wisdom and rescue her from Gannon (it's spelled with another "n" in the first game). The second Zelda game was called Zelda II: The Adventure of Link; "Zelda II" as in a sequel, even though it was "The Adventure of Link." After that, the games became known as the Zelda series, so they named each one after that "The Legend of Zelda" and then a subtitle.
Originally posted by starlight ok heres my idea of this game: -it totally ruins Links dignity (well if he was a real guy) - I think it really messes with the Zelda timeline I would say more but wouldnt be right but this is a few of my thoughts on this game
1. ...Just look at the attachment... That's what Link looks like in the artwork for the original The Legend of Zelda... 2. Not any more than Ocarina of Time... OOT totally contradicts the story from Zelda: A Link to the Past, of how Ganon was imprisoned in the Dark World... That, and placing some of the other games in the timeline can be hard. I have some theories, though, as to where the GCN game fits in.

Really?! ...Dang, I remember it being about 10 or 15 apart... Maybe I'm thinking of a couple other attacks... I take it back, then, go with Hydro Pump...

Yeah, I am talking about the DC versin of PSO v2... Sephiroth said that there was no fee to play it... I remember that there was a fee, though...

Yeah, psychic types are usually pretty powerful, but what happens when you run into a dark type Pokémon? ...You're kinda screwed, then...
