1. You know what I'd have liked to have happen to Heidegger? I'd have liked to see him get eaten by Ultimate WEAPON. Maybe when you're flying away from the Crater, when the WEAPONs are awakening, and Ultimate WEAPON just snatches him off the deck of the Highwind. That would have been really funny, LOL. ...And of course, he'd have to laughing, right up until he gets eaten... It could've been part of the CG cut-scene, and he could get this really shocked look on his face right before WEAPON grabs him in it's big, huge jaws... Heheheheheheh...
2. Umm... yes, the graphics could be better than the GBA. The PlayStation is 32 bit, and it's capable of way better graphics than the GBA. The bit-rate of a system doesn't really have any effect on how good the graphics are, it's the graphics card that's in the system that determines the quality of the graphics. Personally, I don't think it's going to catch on very well... People know that the GBA is good, and has lots of good games, so why should they buy a different system and risk having crappy games on it? For people that can only afford one system, they'll most likely get the GBA because it's dependable. This new system is going to have a very hard time catching on, with the GBA going strong as it is. I'm not saying that this system will just be a piece of crap, though, I'm just saying that it probably won't provide much competition. The GBA has been out for almost a year now, and people know that it's a great system... So people will probably continue to buy the GBA, because they know they'll get their monies worth... With this new system, they'll be taking a risk, and for those that can't afford two systems, I don't think they'll take that risk.
3. Man, that really sucks... You should try looking on www.nintendo.com under the "customer service" section, and see if it gives prices for repairing a GCN. I'm pretty sure it has information about that sort of thing. Also, you might look at your warrenty and see if it covers stuff like this. It probably won't, because the GCN is Japanese, or for some other reason, but you never know. I'd check it out just in case.
4. First, you should get the Boomerang at the Dance Hall, I'm pretty sure. Then you can get the Strange Flute (if you haven't already gotten a Flute), ore, and then a Ring and a Gasha Seed like you said. As for the Subrosian Ring, I'm not sure what exactly it does... Maybe it makes the Subrosians more friendly towards you, or something like that...

Egg...

Eh? You get two eggs? I remember getting one and having it hatch into a Togepi, but I don't remember getting another one, except when I breed two Pokémon...
6. Heheheh... I just fought Palmer about a week ago. It was just as satisfying that time as it was the first time I fought him. I don't know exactly why, but I always just seemed to hate him... I guess because he's annoying, and he gets in your way...
Palmer Hey-hey! Is the tea ready yet? With plenty of sugar and honey. Oh yeah, and don't forget the lard too.
7. Yeah, one of my friends has an old Game Gear and a couple Sonic games on it... I played it for a bit, but the batteries only had a few minutes of life left in them. I did like the backlit screen, but I don't think having to use a ton of batteries and then only getting a couple hours or gameplay is worth it. I'd rather not have it backlit, and get a decent amount of gameplay time, myself.

Finally

Well, it looks cool... But I don't want to have to open up my GBA... I don't like modding my systems, even if I'm not really afraid of screwing something up. I just don't like to mess with my game systems. That, and I've never really had any problems with the lighting on the GBA... (Well, except for one time when I was playing at dusk, but that's just because there was barely any light at all, anywhere). I hear all these different people complain and rant about the GBA being too dark, but I've never noticed it being any darker than the GBC... I dunno, I've never been sensitive to light shining it my eyes, so maybe that has something to do with it? I don't really have good night-vision, but it's not bad, either.
9.
Originally posted by Solid Snake For goodness sake! At least read all of the posts on the newest page before consulting your expertise. I just explained the exact same thing a few posts up to someone else. Now would you mind reading that? It was an April fools joke! I sincerely hope that this will be closed now, and regret it even being made in the first place. :blah:
Yes, it would be nice if people would read a thread before posting in it... If you don't read a thread before posting in it, you're more likely to spam than if you hadn't. Why? Because then you won't end up repeating something that someone else has already said/asked... So please, read through a thread before posting in it! I won't close this thread, however, just in case GTAIII does end up being released on the GCN... Who knows, they could announce it tommorrow? ...But yeah, I'll leave it open, but please don't repeat stuff that has already been said. People could also use this thread to discuss the GBA version of GTAIII, which hasn't been released yet. It's not exactly on topic, but it's close enough that we don't really need another thread for the GBA version.
10. Okay, first off that Small Key... I'm assuming you mean the one up in the north-east corner of 1F, up on the raised edge of the floor, right? If so, then you have to jump down from 2F, through the hole in the ground that's in the room with the Mirror Shield. Right, for that last pillar I'm just going to give you part of the Link's Awakening walkthrough from www.zelda.com, because I'm not too clear on which pillar it is and I really don't want to have to type up how to destroy them all... So here it is: Next step: Crush Pillars One and Two Eagle's Tower - Crush Pillars One and Two Pillar One - The main objective in the Eagle's Tower is to destroy the four pillars which support the fourth floor. When all of the pillars are destroyed, the fourth floor will fall into the third floor making and make it possible to reach the Boss. From the Tower entrance, go right two screens and defeat all of the enemies to get a Small Key. Go up one screen then take the stairs to reach the second floor. Go up one screen to pick up the Black Ball. Carry the ball to the left and drop it in front of the door. Walk to the right side of the room and pull the lever to open the left door, then run to the left and pick up the ball. Holding the Ball, go left one screen and throw it into Pillar One to destroy it. Pillar Two - From where you crushed the first Pillar, pick up the ball and take it down one screen. Throw the Black Ball into Pillar Two to destroy it. Next step: Crush Pillar Three Eagle's Tower - Crush Pillar Three From where you crushed Pillar Two, pick up the Black Ball, carry it down one screen and throw it over the barricade. Hit the Orb so the posts to the right are up, then go up two screens, left one screen, up one screen and take the stairs to the first floor. Take the upper path left one screen, then go down two screens and take the stairs to the second floor. Go down one screen, defeat the Hinox, then go right one screen and defeat the Three of a Kind to make a chest appear on the other side of the barricade. Note: The chest will disappear if you leave the second floor. Go right one screen, grab the Black Ball, then carry it left one screen. Toss the ball across the opening in the floor to the other side. Go Left one screen, up two, right one then walk down two screens by bombing the bottom walls. Use the Hookshot to reach the chest on the right, grab the Black Ball, then carry it up one screen and crush Pillar Three. Next step: Crush Pillar Four, Get the Mirror Shield Eagle's Tower - Crush Pillar Four, Get the Mirror Shield From where you crushed Pillar Three, pick up the Black Ball and go down one screen. Throw the ball over the barricade so that it lands near the bottom of the screen. Drop down through the pit next to the chest so you land on the first floor. Go right two screens, up one, then take the stairs to return to the second floor. Walk to the left and open the chest to get the Mirror Shield. Next, stand two steps to the left of the Orb and swing your sword so the posts go back up. Go down one screen, left two screens and pick up your trusty Black Ball. Go left one screen, up two screens and right one screen. Use the Black Ball to crush Pillar Four, which will cause the fourth floor to drop down onto the third floor.
11. Well, the last I heard the Zelda game for the GCN will be released in October in the US. So, I'm guessing it'll be a couple months after that before it'll be available in the UK. You shouldn't judge a game by it's graphics, though. I'm not looking to start a discussion on the cel shaded graphics and why they're good/bad, but I'm just saying you should play a game before you judge it. Heck, when I first heard about Super Smash Bros. for the N64, I thought it sounded like a stupid idea... But when I rented it, it turned out to be my favorite game on the N64, short of the two Zelda games! I bought it a couple days after I had to take it back to the rental place, and I kept playing it until I got a GCN and SSB Melee!
12. You need the Seed Satchel, which comes with 10 Ember Seeds, and can be found in Level 1, Gnarled Root Dungeon (the first dungeon, which I'm assuming you're in). Use an Ember Seed on the torches to light them. If you need more help, just ask or PM me. :)

Egg...
Originally posted by Squashed Snail lol, erm..... I was talking about the eggs you get from brreding.... :drunk:
Well, um... I guess that post wasn't pointless, then... :cross: Well, that information did help me a lot... If anyone else happens to look in this thread, wanting to know about breeding... then I guess he/she will be in luck! :toothy: I got a Togepi from the egg that he gave me, on my Gold Version. I don't know why, though... At first I figured that it was a Togepi every time, but then I heard that other people were getting different Pokémon from it... And I haven't seen any pattern as to why you get the Pokémon from it that you do, so I figured it just gave you a random pre-evolution Pokémon. If it's not random, and anyone does know why you get the Pokémon you do from it, I'd be interested to know.
14. The thing about doing that, though, is that they see the real thing before the next round of attacks... So it doesn't actually do any good, unless they can't recognize the Pokémon... In that case they won't know what you're using, but if they recognize the Pokémon it won't do any good. When I think up nicknames for my Pokémon, I try and think of something witty that rhymes with the Pokémon's real name. But, that's just how I do things, I guess. I never was very good at thinking up nicknames, though, so it usually doesn't matter.
15. On Yellow, I think my team was around Lv. 60 when I got to the Elite Four. I could make it to Lance and beat all but one of his Pokémon before I lost... The one being his Dragonite (it has Thunder or Thunder Bolt, can't remember which, so when I put out my Blastoise to use Blizzard it got hit and fainted before I could even get in one hit with Blizzard). If I had had the money for more recovery items I could have beaten him and Gary, but I ended up having to go back... When I returned, though, I had the three Legendary Birds and Mewtwo with me, so I totally trounced them that time :toothy:
16. Umm... FFX has been out in the US for a few months now... But yeah, it's annoying how we have to wait while we here reports from Japan about how good the game is. About the pricing, though... I heard that there'd be a fee of around $10 a month, and that each additional character would only cost an extra dollar. Of course, that's the Japanese pricing (converted to US dollars), so it may change some for the rest of the world. I don't think Square has said anything about the pricing in the US or UK yet, but I wish they would. And it had better not be any more than $10 a month!
17. Hmm... yeah, it does look good... But, I don't think it's going to "kill" the GBA. The reason is that pretty much everyone is developing for the GBA, plus it's got Nintendo's first party games. That, and the GBA already has a very, VERY large userbase already. Nintendo has sold well over a million GBAs already, I'm pretty sure. But, if it gets some good third party developers, it might lessen Nintendo's hold on the handheld gaming market. It'll be interesting to see how it does against the GBA, anyway. I haven't really seen a good handheld system war before...
18. Well, it might be a good deal if you live in Japan... But if you live anywhere else, it's cheaper to just get a normal GCN and a DVD player, instead of importing it, and then modding it... So no, I wouldn't say it's worth getting, because of all the trouble you have to go through to import and mod it. That, and you could spend the extra money on games and stuff.
19. You trade the Phonograph to a Deku Scrub that lives in a cave near the Lost Woods. I think it's a bit south-east of the Lost Woods, but I'm not entirely sure. Then he'll give you the directions to the Noble Sword, in return.
20. I think what The Harlequin means, is that the feeling of the dungeons is different that the rest of the game. When you're in a dungeon, you're cut off from the outside world; you're alone, there's no one to help you, and there's lots of monsters at every turn. It gives it a certain feeling that you can't get any other way, I think. That's actually one of the reasons I like the dungeons. Sure, I really like exploring the overworld and most side-quests, but the game just wouldn't be complete without the dungeons. It'd be like playing half a Zelda game...

Egg...

Oh... um... okay... ...From Squashed Snail's post, though, it sounded like you were talking about it being random what Pokémon you get from breeding:
Originally posted by Squashed Snail I think it is random, because I bred 3 different pairs, and they both had a Clefa. Then, I bred them same pairs, and I got Elekid....
So, um, yeah... But that information is still good to know, if anyone doesn't already... Infact, I cought a Ditto and named it "Breeder" LOL. I think it is pretty much random, though, for the egg that he just gives you.
22. Yeah, I'm kind of annoyed that they're going to charge to play it, too... I'm hoping that the fee will just be temporary, though, and that they'll stop charging to play if they get enough sales. That would be nice, because I'll be paying $10 a month for DSL (I split it with my brothers and parents), plus $10 more a month for the fee... And I already miss that $10 a month for the DSL... But I think it said something in the latest EGM about there being a yearly fee that worked out to be cheaper than paying for it monthly. Of course, it could change since the release is still pretty far off. I wouldn't mind if it was only $5 a month.

Egg...

No, it's not random. The two Pokémon that you breed will determine what Pokémon hatches from the egg. An easy way to get the Pokémon that you want is to breed a Pokémon with a Ditto. This is because a Ditto isn't male or female, but it's able to breed with either sex, and it can also breed with all other Pokémon, except the Legendary Pokémon, Mew, Mewtwo, and Celebi (you can't breed those with anything, though, to prevent you from getting a bunch of them). Say, for example, you want to get a Pichu; get a Ditto and a Pikachu or Raichu and breed them. After awhile, you'll get an egg that will hatch into a Pichu. So if you want to get the pre-evolutions of Pokémon like Electabuzz, Jigglypuff, and others, just get a Ditto and one of the "adult" Pokémon, breed the two, and you'll get the "baby" Pokémon. One other thing to note is that when you're breeding two Pokémon, and one of them isn't a Ditto, that the Pokémon that hatches from the egg will be either the same kind as the female Pokémon, or the pre-evolution of the female Pokémon. So if you breed a female Pikachu and a male Electabuzz (I think those two can be bred together), you'd get a Pichu from the egg, because the female Pokémon was a Pikachu, so the egg would hatch into Pikachu's pre-evolution. Hope this makes sense, and hope it helps, also. :)
24. Well, it definitely looks like it's going to be a good game. Judging from what I've heard and seen of the game so far, it looks as if it's going to be just what I've been wanting. For awhile I was considering getting EverQuest, but then I heard about FFXI; so now I'm going to wait for FFXI and get it instead.
25. No, that's south-west of Kanalet Castle. If you start at the screen that has the Castle gate on it, and walk two screens to the south, one screen to the east, and then one screen to the north, you should be on the screen where the Seashell Mansion is.
