If you have a computer, I suggest getting it on that (if your system will be able to run it, anyway), instead of the PS2. Mainly because you already have a hard drive, a keyboard, a mouse, and, if you're hooked up to the net, a modem and ISP. If you have all that, then it'll only be the cost of the game and the fee to play it. If you don't have a modem, you can get a 56K modem for pretty cheap anymore, and an ISP is usually about $15 a month. Even if you have to wait a bit for the PC version to be released (I think the PC versions of FFVII and FFVIII took a bit longer to be released than the PSX versions), I think it'll be worth it. I myself am going to get the PC version for this reason, and also because I don't have a PS2 (although I really want one). Even if I already had a PS2, it'd still be way more expensive than getting the PC version... I'd have to get the Network Adapter, the Hard Drive, and the game itself, plus the fee, if I got it for the PS2. When I get it for the computer, I'll just have to buy the game and pay the fee. (Well, I'll probably have to upgrade some stuff on my system, but it's been needing to be upgraded for awhile now, heheh).

Umm, no... Wave Race isn't on the PSX... The Wave Race games are first-party Nintendo games, meaning that you'll only find them on Nintendo systems. I'm pretty sure there are other jet-ski racing games on the PSX, though, so it's probably a game that's similar to Wave Race.

And that post was spam, too... If you don't have any information to add to what has already been said, don't post in a help thread. If you're the first person to reply, try and make it so they can understand what you're saying. And if you must know, the Seashell Mansion is a bit south-east of Kanalet Castle. And it's not hidden, it's right out in the open. It's kind of hard to miss, actually, if you're on the same screen as it...

At the end of the Trading Sequence, you'll get directions to a sword upgrade in the Lost Woods. If you have the Wooden Sword (Lv. 1 Sword), then you'll get the Noble Sword (Lv. 2 Sword). If you already have the Noble Sword (you have to be playing a linked game), then you'll get the Master Sword (Lv. 3 Sword). The Noble Sword and Master Sword both shoot beams when you have full Hearts, which is very useful. Completing the Trading Sequence is well worth your time, so just keep at it! :)

Yeah, some older people might take a second look at the Pokémon games, and maybe not just dismiss them as "kiddy" games (like my brother, for example). And more Pokémon fans are always a good thing, right? ...Well, except when you're trying to be the first in line for a new game, LOL.
-
Kind of... but it's a lot better! The Lv. 2 Sword does twice as much damage as the Lv. 1 Sword and it shoots beams when you have full Hearts! It doesn't knock the enemies across the screen when you hit them, though, like a Piece of Power does. If you have Link's Awakening DX and you get the Red Tunic, then it's like you always have a Piece of Power (except without the annoying music). If you use the Lv. 2 Sword and the Red Tunic at the same time, you do 4 times the damage of the Lv. 1 Sword! That's what I have, and I don't think any overworld enemy can take a hit without dying... And then if you get a Piece of Power on top of that... well, nothing will survive a hit from your sword, except minibosses and bosses.

Yeah, I think G/S was the high point in sales for Pokémon games... I wish it could've stayed that way, though, with it really popular... Perhaps if they use a different story in this new GBA game, it will pick up again? I'm really hoping so, because I enjoyed the rush while it lasted. Now I want another, LOL. :hippy:

You get the Lv. 2 Sword when you collect 20 Secret Shells and take them to the Seashell Mansion.

Sure, I can help you with that... That was a kind of confusing bit for me too, since it involved lots of warping from present to past, and back again, etc... Okay, if you haven't already learned the Tune of Currents (which lets you warp from the past to the present anywhere on the overworld), you'll need to learn it before you can get to Patch. If you don't have it, I'll tell how to get it now. First off, go to Symmetry Village in the past, and go down the stairs in the south-west corner of the Village. Now walk one screen to the west, and then go up the stairs one screen to the north. Keep going north another screen, up some more stairs, and you'll be surrounded by deep water, with some shallow water to your right and up a bit. In the very north-east coner of the screen, there'll be one square of deep water; dive into it, to find the way to Tokkey's house (not to be confused with the Tokays that live on Crescent Island). Talk to him, and then play the Harp of Ages on the green floor tile. He'll then teach you the Tune of Currents. Now walk south two screens, back down the two flights of stairs, and then one screen to the west. Cross the stream, and make your way to the south-west corner of the screen. Play the Tune of Currents to warp from the past to the present, without using the Time Portal (if you use the Time Portal, you won't be able to get to the stairs below you). Now proceed to go as far south as you can, until you're four screen south of where you warped. Now walk one screen to the east, and one screen to the north, up the stairs (not up the vines). Lift up the rock to reveal a Time Portal, and play the Tune of Echoes on the Harp of Ages, to activate the Time Portal. Step into it, to warp back to the past. Now walk south one screen, and push the plant bulb to the right, in front of the right place where vines can grow. Now walk back up north, and into the cave at the top of the screen. Take the right door at the top of the second flight of stairs. Now walk to your right and push the red block to the left, until the path of the water is changed. Now go back through the cave to the bulb, and warp to the present using the Tune of Currents. Climb up the vines, and you'll see that a pond is now in the place of a bunch of potholes that were blocking your way. Swim up and right, to the stairs in the north-east corner of the screen, and go up them one screen to the north. Now go one more screen to the north, one to the west, and one to the south, and you'll see a Time Portal. Play the Tune of Echoes, to activate it, and then step in. Back in the past, retrace your steps to the top of where the vines were, and then take the stairs heading south, that are to the right of the top of the vines. From there you'll go a little ways and then climb up Restoration Wall, and enter the cave where Patch lives. Okay, that's pretty much it, I think. If you need more help, feel free to PM me. I'm always glad to help with a Zelda game, if you have trouble with anything. :)
Originally posted by slasher The shoot ht aliens thing in MM is sorta a game?Or do you do that not on epona?
Can you try and make your posts more understandable? This one was kind of hard to read... Well, there's the training part, where you ride around on Epona shooting at the ghost-balloons... But when you're actually defending the cows, you don't have to be riding Epona. I prefer to just go on foot, because it's easier to aim.
Originally posted by Rick Hunter Sigh, can't believe that people at the age of 12 are dating these days!:shifty:
Yeah, I know... I'm 14, and I agree that I'm too young to be dating, or going out, or whatever you want to call it, let alone someone that's 12... I think you should at least be 17-18 before you start going out, and I think you should be at least 20-21 before you get married. Because, the whole point of going out with someone is to see if you want to marry them... Or at least that's how it should be... But, back onto the original topic... I'm also very shy, when it comes to this sort of thing... I don't make friends very easily... It took me more than a year to make friends with this one kid I know, because I was too shy. Now, I'd say just go for it, because that's the sort of person I wish I was... But, when it comes right down to it, it's very hard for me to just go up to someone and start talking to them, even if I've kind of known them for awhile. So yeah, I'd say go for it, but it would be hard for me to do it, if I were you. There's nothing wrong with it being hard, though, your just shy. That's just the type of person you are, you can't really change it. That's the way I am, but I try my best, and I do have more friends since I started talking to more people. So it has payed off for me, and it might just pay off for you. You'll never know if you don't say anything, which sounds (from reading other posts, and from other sources) like it's almost as bad as if he says no. Okay, I think I've rambled on enough... I just hope that makes some sense to people besides me...

I'm so sorry... One of my uncles died a few years ago... All I can say is that I'll pray for you, and that I hope you're okay...... There, I just prayed. I hope that you're okay... Please don't beat yourself up emotionally, though; if anything, it will just make it worse. I know, I've done it, it just makes me depressed... I hope everything goes well with "Dan." ...You know, there's this girl I know that I like... But I'm also too shy to do anything... That, and I'm only 14, and she's only a couple months older, so we're too young to "go out." ...But I think I'll try and get to know her better. We were good friends when we were younger, but then I didn't really see her much for a long time. So I kind of already know her, but I'd like to be friends again. Thanks for the inspiration, it's just what I needed!

Umm... umm... I'm trying to imagine their reaction when they see the sight... *starts laughing so hard that his insides leap out his throat, and he has to stuff them back down again so he can take a breath* ............ Well, now that that's over... I liked the part about the vodka. :twitch:  :toothy:

Well, since it's Nintendo's franchise, no. Nintendo would get to decide on whether or not to release Pokémon games on other consoles... And they definitely aren't going to... That, and I think GameFreak is pretty much owned by Nintendo. Not entirely sure, though.
Originally posted by Nerdsy What do you mean save Shadow?
Possible SPOILER! Did you wait for her, after meeting Kefka and the Emperor on the Floating Continent? After you do that part, it starts to fall out of the sky, remember? Then you have to rush on for a ways, until you can jump off onto the airship. It gives you the option to wait for Shadow, when you get to the place where you can jump off. If you don't wait, she dies, and that's it...

Yeah, you can't just plug the cable in to the GCN and GBA and play the GBA on your TV... I really wish you could, though... (I'd have the cable now, if you could do that). So far as I know, there's no way that you can play your GBA on a TV without opening up your GBA and modifying it. You know what would be cool? I'm not sure if this would actually be possible or not, but I think it would be cool if Nintendo made something that plugs into one of the Memory Card slots on the GCN, that could hold as much as a GBA cartridge. Then you could download data from the GBA game to the GCN card thing, to play your GBA games on your TV. Kind of like in Pokémon Stadium 1 and 2, you could transfer data from the GB Pokémon game to the N64. Come to think about it, they probably could have done this, just using the RAM on the GCN (since you wouldn't have to load the whole game at any one time)... But if they were going to let you play just any GBA game on your TV using the GCN, I think they'd make an accessory that you'd have to buy... But considering how much they can fit on some of the flash cards, and other things like that, I think it could be done. I suppose it would mainly depend on whether the GCN can access the data on the Memory Cards fast enough; if it can't read the data on the flash card, or whatever it is, fast enough, you'd get slowdown, which is almost never a good thing.

A stone? Are you talking about the Tuni Nut, perhaps, which is broken? If so, you need to take it to Patch, who lives on top of Restoration Wall. If I'm right about this, tell me and I'll write up how to do it. If I'm wrong, more details about what you've done since beating Level 3, Moonlit Grotto would help.
Originally posted by Renamon Hmm...Walkthroughs? I read them but I don't use them; for Zelda games anyway
Umm... if you read a walkthrough, won't you remember what to do in the game? If I read through a walkthrough or player's guide, or something like that, I usually remember stuff from reading it.
Originally posted by Renamon What Zelda Game are you talking about
*sigh* ...Please don't bring back really old help threads like this... If you hadn't noticed, this one is about two months old! The person asking for help has most likely gotten past whatever he/she was having trouble with, by now. Other kinds of threads are usually okay to bring back, and is even preferred to making a new one on the same topic, but there's not really any point in bringing back an old help thread... Unless you have a question about the same game. Then it would be okay. Plus, you didn't even offer any other useful information. You just asked what someone else had already asked, which is spam in and of itself. And he's talking about Oracle of Ages/Seasons, by the way. Thread Closed
Originally posted by slasher you have to smash a with it.it has to falsh a blue color
Umm... I just said that you have to hit it with a Smash Attack... You just repeated what I said, which is considered spam. But yeah, like I said, you have to hit it with a Smash Attack. I don't think it really matters what part of the Bat hits it, but I'm not entirely sure (I just get as close to it as I can). But if you hit it with a Smash Attack using the Home Run Bat when it has 100% or over, it should go 1,500 ft., I'm pretty sure. I think I had about that much damage on it, when I hit it over 1,500.

Hmm... somehow I kind of doubt that it was before FFII/IV... The only FF games in the main series (Don't know about others, like the FF Legend games on the GB) that weren't released in the US are FFII, and FFIII (Japanese numbering). Those are on the FamiCom, so I don't think you'd really be able to tell that the characters were nude, LOL. Unless it told you, that is. I'm guessing that that's just a rumor, myself.
Originally posted by slasher when you are entering the castle with all three spiritiaul stone, impa and zelda run off on a horse.then ganondorf will come and blah blah and link will challenge him, the ganondorf will use macic to beat you.
Yeah, I know that... But he said "at the Temple of Time." ...But I still wouldn't really call that a fight, anyway... I mean, you don't really fight him, he just hits you with a fireball when you won't talk. You never attack, or even try to attack him, so I wouldn't call it a fight.

Well, if you liked Link's Awakening, you'll probably like Oracle of Ages and Oracle of Seasons. They have a lot in common with Link's Awakening, since they're all on the GB/GBC. No, there aren't any Zelda games newer than Oracle of Ages/Seasons. The next Zelda game will be the one for GCN, which they're saying will be released around Fall. Until then, Ages/Seasons are the newest Zelda games. There's already a topic on the first page asking what the Oracle games are like, though, and there doesn't need to be two. Go here to view the other thread, and post any other questions you have in it. Thread Closed

Well, I never was good at that Horseback Archery game... But oddly enough, I'm pretty good at shooting down the Big Poes. :whoops: I know my highest score was just above the number of points that you need to get the Biggest Quiver, which is 1,500. So, maybe a hundred or so over that. My brother was always good at it, and I think he got the most that you can get. He would break all of the pots, and then unload all the rest of the arrows into the bull's-eye on the target... So I'm assuming that's the best you can do... I never really liked it much, so I just did it to get the Heart Container Piece and Biggest Quiver; I didn't try for a high score.
