I'd say it's probably the phone lines in your area. They're probably pretty old, or haven't been kept up very well. If that's the case, it could be effecting your connection speed. -
Originally posted by NorykoAngelcry there is almost no thought process needed when it comes to this game. ^_^
That's what I liked about Gauntlet Legends, LOL. I'd get together a group of friends and play four-player, and it'd turn into one big argument about who should get this treasure, or this item, or whatever... And then we'd eat lots of sugar and watch a movie, and then play some more. It was great, LOL. :twitch: But yeah, I know it's not a very involving game. That's what I like about the Gauntlet series, actually. If I want an involving story, I'll play an RPG, like Final Fantasy IX (which I still need to beat). It's kind of funny to think about, actually... I would sit and play Gauntlet Legends for hours at a time, and never get bored. I've sat and played Rampage (a couple different games in the series, including the old original for the NES/arcade) for hours, without getting bored... I think I can turn my brain off when I'm playing games like that, LOL... :cross: I'm having fun, while not actually thinking at all. I've come to love games that can do that. :cross: I think I will buy it... Something to help tide me over until Star Fox Adventures is released, and a game that I'll probably still be playing long after I beat it. (My character on Gauntlet Legends is level 99, with all stats maxed out, with over 1,000,000 experience points, full on every item, and with a huge amount of gold).

I've been thinking about buying this game for awhile now... I have Gauntlet Legends for the Nintendo 64, and I've played it a lot. Is Gauntlet: Dark Legacy worth buying, if you've already played Gauntlet Legends to death? I know that there's a bunch of new levels, but are they very different from the ones in Gauntlet Legends? If Dark Legacy isn't too similar to Gauntlet Legends, I'll probably buy it. I really enjoyed Gauntlet Legends, so I'll probably enjoy Dark Legacy, too. I'd like some info on it before I buy it, though. Thanks!

Anyone ever thought that maybe they do exist... And that we see them every day? Perhaps the animals of our world are kind of like Pokémon? Maybe we just need to develop Poké Balls, so we can catch and train them better? I've toyed around with this theory ever since I started liking Pokémon. Seems almost possible, doesn't it?

Yes, it did add a bit to the characters, but not that much. It certainly isn't neccesary. FFIII/VI is my favorite FF game, and it barely has any swearing. And, FFIII/VI is my favorite because of the cool characters, mainly. The storyline is good, too. But anyway, I guess I don't really care that much... If they take it out, that's fine by me. If they leave it in, that's fine also. Everything in the way of swearing that I've seen in FF games has been pretty mild, compared to some of the stuff I've heard... :D

That episode was on just tonight. I also thought it was damn funny! I think they should make it legal, and then tax the heck out of it. Put so huge a tax on it, that it'd be more expensive than it is now. That'd probably be the best way to stop it. I think it's fine when used for medical purposes. If it eases someone's pain, I think it's all right.

I haven't been able to write much in my character's background, lately, because I've been busy with other stuff. Hopefully, I'll be able to get Chapter 2 done pretty soon, though. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Drake keeps walking along, just behind the parade. Then, out of the corner of his eye, he notices two people that had just entered the crowd. They were two Shinra soldiers, and the uniform on one of them looked too small. Drake: (thinking) Well that's odd... Heheh, wonder if they're late? He continues walking, matching the speed of the parade. Suddenly, he notices that the two Shinra soldiers are gone. He looks around at the parade, and sees them marching in a group of other soldiers. Drake: (thinking) Wait a minute... That row of soldiers was already full before they got here... Something's got to be up. There's two too many in that row, now... He pulls his hood over his head, and blends into the crowd. He watches the two soldiers, as they march in the rows of troops, while trying to look casual.
Originally posted by Cloud I'm sure you won a nintendo contest and got a 76 mews...... impossible without a game shark...
I've heard that you can get a Mew by doing something with missingno, but I'm not sure if it's true, or how it's supposed to be done. If it is true, he could have done that. But yeah, there's no way he could've gotten 76 Mews the real way... Nintendo isn't going to give that many to one person.

I finally got my friend to register. His username is imcuneo. Everyone send him a welcome PM, and be sure to mention me... I'm sure he'll like that... :naughty:

I'd have to say Weezing... But I accidentally voted for Victreebel (my favorite)... It's late, and I'm not seeing straight, apparently. Bleh...
Originally posted by Char-Char,Mander-Char! Hey in the GB game what's up with that door in the corner of the Challenge Hall? How come that guy blocks it during every challenge cup, and how come you can't open it?
I don't know, I've wondered about that too... Seems kind of weird that there'd be a door that doesn't have a purpose, though. Do people ever come out of it?
Originally posted by Defcon5 Dang. I remember when the would sell for hundreds.....
Yeah, me too... I'd pay around $20 for them, but I haven't been keeping up on prices lately... I'd think they would sell for more than $15, though.

If I were going to put together a team of all one type, it'd be all electric. I'd use: Zapdos Raikou Jolteon Electrode Raichu Electabuzz ...This is making me want to put together that team... Maybe I will, someday...

Good theory... But, I think that Link was taught Zelda's Lullaby because he needed to prove he was on royal business (such as playing it to gain entrance to Zora's Domain). Impa knew that without it, Link wouldn't be able to collect the other two Spiritual Stones. Personally, I don't think Link and Zelda are related. Like I've said before, wouldn't Zelda have been taken to Kokiri forest also? It doesn't make sense that the mother would only leave one of her children, and risk the other one being killed. It's just not logical.

I'm in Junon now, too! ...Hunting down James' character... Heheheheheheh...... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Drake wakes up, to the sounds of the parade going on outside. He gets up, and looks out the window. Drake: Ugh... wonder what time it is? He grabs is stuff again, and walks down to the street. He watches the parade, and follows it, towards the back. Drake: (thinking) Well, gotta do something for the rest of today... He walks along after it, curious as to where it would end. Drake: (Thinking) Looks like they're heading over towards the airport... He continues following, a little ways behind the tail end of the parade.

There's been a thread before, just like this one... Infact, it was posted by the same person that posted this one. It's title is G-Cube and if you look it up, you'll see that it's pretty much the same as this one. That, and everyone is saying that the same games are cool, over and over again... It seems that after the first few replies, most people have just been recommending games that other people have already recommended. Thread closed.

Anyone that gets Nintendo Power might already know about this. Anyway, go here: http://www.nintendo.co.jp/ngc/gpij/lovesong/index.html Wait for it to load, and then click on the yellow button. Then listen to the song. It's really weird... It's the song that played on the TV commercial for Pikmin, in Japan. Here are the words in english: Ai No Uta (Love Song) We are Pikmin. We follow only you. Everyday, we lift, we fight, we multiply. And, then we are eaten. Our planet is populated by many mean creatures. Everyday, we lift, we fight, we multiply. And, then we are eaten. You pull us out of the ground. We fight and we are eaten. We never ask for your gratitude. We fight and we are eaten. We are Pikmin. We follow only you.

Defcon is pretty much right, here. It does say that the guy that leaves to rescue Zelda (and then you find him in the secret passage leading into Hyrule Castle) at the start of A Link to the Past is Link's uncle, at the end of the game. However, if the story that Zelda.com says is true, Link's uncle (if he ever had one) would be long dead. On Zelda.com it says that when Link was in Termina (during Majora's Mask), many years passed in Hyrule. This could have been because Termina was a parrallel universe, or maybe because Link messed with the flow of time so much in Termina, that something got messed up. Either way, if some 100 years or more did pass in Hyrule, then obviously Link wouldn't have an uncle still living. This is one of those unexplained loose ends... We can only guess who that guy is, since, if Zelda.com is to be believed, he could not have been Link's uncle. Your guess is as good as mine. He does not die, however. It shows him at the end of the game, very much alive. I posted a screen shot of it, earlier in this thread. Defcon is also correct about Ocarina of Time being the real first game in the series; it is set before all of the other Zelda games. Again, if Zelda.com is to be believed, Link would have lived somewhere else after he got back from Termina. It's my guess that, since the Kokiri don't appear in A Link to the Past, they left the land of Hyrule and went somewhere else, while Link was in Termina. This would have left Link homeless, so he found somewhere else to live. It's a good guess, as to that guy being a guardian. Link would still only be about 10 years old, so someone might have taken him in or something. Maybe he kind of got adopted, and the guy kind of became his uncle? That'd be my guess, as to why the game says he's Link's uncle.

I'm not exactly sure what you mean... I take it you mean the Fire Temple, when you say "in Death Mountain," right? If the door has chains and a lock on it, then you need a Small Key to open the door (Or the Boss Key, if the lock is bigger than usual). Otherwise, bignate dawg is right. There are some that you need the Megaton Hammer to open. If you come across a switch that won't go down when you step on it, hit it with the Hammer. If you don't have the Hammer, I can help you with that.

I can see why you didn't like it, if you've played other Zelda games before Zelda II. It's my least favorite game in the series, actually. The sidescrolling view just doesn't work for me... It just doesn't feel like a real Zelda game. But, I still think it's better than a lot of games. I like it, I just don't think it's as good as the other Zelda games.

Gods? There aren't any gods... There are the Three Goddesses, Din, Farore, and Nayru. They created the world, and made the Triforce. Oh, and wouldn't it be easier to put the stuff at the bottom of your post in your signature? Instead of adding it to every post, which gets annoying...
Originally posted by slasher i bet that if you was one of the people the get the game new,you would be staring wide eyed and saying"WOW!! that game is AWSOME!!"
Yes, when the game first came out, the graphics were pretty good for its time. Compared to some of the later NES games, they're pretty bad, though. It was one of the most popular NES games for quite awhile, though. It always seemed to be pretty high up in the top ten NES games, in Nintendo Power. Along with the original Zelda.

1. You're part of an invasion force and your commander is a total nutcase (aka trigger-happy) about war. Would you rather follow his orders and die or just run??? I'd most likely follow his orders. 2. Your in a room filled with hydrogen tanks and you hear one of the tanks leak. Would you try to find the leak and patch it up or would you light up a match (if you're a pyromaniac that is) Light the match... while humming Pop Goes the Weasel... 3. What's worse: an all-out assualt by the Gundams or the Valkyrie series from Macross/Robotech??? I've barely seen any anime, so I don't know. 4. If you want to get rid the worlds from all the dictators, who would you get rid off first and why?? Justin, because he made me make a pun about monkeys... 5. What's worse: being persistent or being arrogant??? Well, being arrogant, I'd have to say persistant. I don't want to make myself look bad, now do I? 6. Another what's worse question  and it's my last one. So what's worse: getting nuked or getting firebombed?? I'd have to say firebombed...
