Do you mean these? (see attachment) I don't know... I've never really liked that kind of candy. Not much into fruit flavored candy... Just give me the chocolate!

Well, you've got two out of three, there... Final Fantasy games are going to be released for the GCN and GBA, and I've heard that there's going to be a DBZ game coming out for the GCN, also. Digimon, though, I think is never going to happen on a Nintendo system... Digimon is Pokémons competition, so, yeah... I don't think it's ever going to happen.

Is it just me, or am I doing almost all of the writing in this RPG?... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Drake: Right... Drake pushes the switch..... Drake: Nothing seems to be happening... The door leading back into the first room slams shut. Drake: .......... He stares wide eyed at the closed door. Siren: .....Oops..... Orion: Yes, indeed... Kizu: Crap... Drake: Got any Fire Arrows left? Kizu: Two... Drake: Crap... Siren: Orion? I think now would be a good time to use that beam of yours... Orion shoots a beam out his mouth, directly into the middle of the door... Nothing happens... Orion: Crap... They all turn and look at Drake. Drake: WHAT!? You guys told me to try it! Kizu: Hey... look. He points at the two penguins, which are waddling down the stairs. Siren: Maybe we should follow them... Drake: Is there anywhere else for us to go? There's a long silence... Kizu: Right... I guess we'll have to go down... Siren: Lead the way, Drake. Drake: What, so I can be the first to get eaten or something, and then the rest of you'll have time to dodge? Orion: Umm... Drake: That's it, isn't it? Kizu: Yes. Drake: Okay! They start walking slowly down the stairs, Drake in the lead... Kizu: So, you think there's a giant penguin down here? Drake: If you're hoping that I will get eaten, don't count on it. Kizu: Dang... Drake: :therock: Ha ha ha... Siren/Orion: Heheheheheheh...
Originally posted by HypnotizedGohan o ok so i need to get all the medallions ok that should work thanx.
No, you just have to beat the Forest Temple and get the Forest Medallion, like k9* said. there's parts in the game where you have to return to being a kid to progress. Like when you have to go down to the Bottom of the Well.
Originally posted by kizu Don't worry, I can't do the dancing either. I spent about over an hour trying that nonstop and still didn't beat it. But anyway, I got the pig mask before I got the Bunny Hood. Out of all the mask to get I thik the hardest one to get is the Postmans hat. You have to spend the entire 3 days to get that one. It just has so many different things to do before you can get it.
Yeah, and then you have go though the entire sequence all over again to get the Bottle... That really annoyed me, having to do it twice...
Originally posted by Lady Katana If your talking about that chest that sits on top a hill that being sort of guarded by an Octorock, you have to hookshot the chest to get to it, but its not a key. It's a recovery heart. Anywayz, that key I was missing was from the very first room like you said. Thanks alot. I beat those Stalfos and got my Bow(Yay!).
No, I wasn't alking about that chest... *shakes head* Been to long since I've played it... Not sure exactly where it is... But anyway, I'm glad I could help! :) ooooo... Post number 777... Me feeling lucky! :cross:
Originally posted by James Yeah, I've heard about the two games being able to link up. The Metroid on GBA is actually Metroid IV...so it's a direct sequel in the series. I think that should make Metroid fans froth at the mouth. ;)
This is going to be weird... We're going to have Metroid IV, which is set after the first three games... Then we're going to have Metroid Prime, which is set before the first three games... Having played the first three, which one of new ones do you play first? Do you find out what happens next, or what has happened? Do you play a 2D Metroid, or a 3D Metroid first? AGH! TO MANY CHOICES!!! :worried:
Originally posted by Squashed Snail I got mine from Japan.
:twitch: .......... Japanese GCNs can play American games... But American GCNs can't play Japanese games... That's what it sounds like, anyway..... :twitch: .......... *bangs head on desk* WWWWHHHHHYYYYYYY!!??!?!?!!!! *mutters about how the Japanese get all of the cool video game stuff* Well, I'm guessing that if your Japanese GCN can play American games, it'll also play Australian games... I'm just wondering why they made it so that the Japanese GCN can play American games, but not the other way around... *remembers back in the days of the SNES, where all you needed to play Japanese games was a pair a pliers* Ah, the good old days of cartridges...

Really? There's that much being added to it? Wow... I must have missed some news... :twitch:

Before reading this, I've always been all out against the first person view. The only FPS that I've ever liked was Perfect Dark, and that was many for the co-op play. I was planning on renting it first, and then maybe buying it, but now I'm going to reserve it as soon as I can. Exploring is my favorite thing to do in games, and it sounds like there's going to be tons of it in Metroid Prime. I do hope that there won't be swarms of enemies all over the place, though. In Super Metroid, there were big parts where there was barely any enemies, and you had to explore for awhile to find where to go (remember Maridia?). I also hope that you won't have ammo for your normal gun, just like you didn't in the other Metroid games. For special weapons, sure, but not for your normal gun. I hope that a lot of the upgrades will return, also. Like the Spazer, and the Spring Ball (both from Super Metroid). Those were two of my favorite upgrades.

Please try to stay on topic, people. This is a thread about a SSBM rumor... Not about Kuja's punctuation (or lack thereof)... I've deleted those posts.

Up 'til the second CD, I thought Kuja was a girl. I think it was because of the thong, Lol... As for Tidus, I don't think he looks like a girl. I do think he looks a bit like Squall, but I think Squall looks cool...

Drake: Yeah, that's what they want you to think! But I'm to smart for them! Siren: Uh, Drake? There's a penguin trying to bite off your foot... Drake: What the?!?! AGH!!! Get it off!!! He jumps on one foot, trying to shake the penguin off of his foot. Drake: AGH!!! GET IT OFF ME, GET IT OFF ME!!! He falls over, and starts rolling around on the ice, kicking violently to try and get the penguin off. Orion: Think we should help him? Siren: No, I think this'll be good for him... Kizu: The other one seems to be enjoying it to... He points at the other penguin, which is watching Drake. Drake: GET IT OFF ME!!! WHAT ARE YOU GUYS WAITING FOR?!?!?! AGH!!! Orion: I think he hit the panic button in his brain... Siren: Maybe he has a fear of penguins? Drake: [lots of censored swearing] The other penguin makes a kind of laughing/quack sound. Drake: [even more censored swearing] Finally, he manages to dislodge the penguin from his foot. It slides across the ice, and sits there staring at him. Drake is lying on the floor, breathing heavily. Orion/Kizu/Siren:  HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAA!!!!! Drake: :flaming: .......... He gets up, and glares at the penguin. Siren: I kind of like these things... Drake: [mutters random profanities under his breath]
Originally posted by kuja SPOILERFF 2 (in US) is an example of this. Edwards gf/wife died and she had been a big player up till then (yea so it was the 2nd hour of the game but still) and then the palom/porum thing... so many chars in that game are believed to be dead threwout the game ;) anyway FF 7 sucked as a final fantasy game, but as an RPG it kicked backside ;)
SPOILER Ummm... No, you never get Edward's girl friend in you party... She's dead when you find her and Edward in the castle, right after it gets bombed. Almost everyone that you think dies, doesn't actually die in that game... Like Palom, Porom, and Yang. END SPOILER I think FFIII (US) is the best. I loved the character development (especially Celes) and the magic system wasn't to bad either. Except that everyone could use magic... That's the only thing I don't like about FFIII.

I'm pretty sure I bought it before talking to any of them... Because I know I got it as soon as I saw it in the shop.

Yes, it's a lot harder without the Bunny Hood. Almost to the point where you have to do everything absolutley perfect. The next thing I have to do is beat the Stone Tower Temple. I hadn't played it in a long time, and then I decided to play it again. I beat the Great Bay Temple, and did everything that I can do, before beating Stone Tower Temple. I've completed my Bombers Notebook, I've gotten all of the Heart Container Pieces that I can, all of the Happy Masks that I can... The only one I'm missing is the Giant's Mask. After that, I kind of stopped playing it again... I suppose I'll start up again sometime, and beat it, but I have no idea when, though... I was going to try and beat at least one more Zelda game before the next one comes out... I would be playing Oracle of Ages, except that the Goron Dancing is impossible for me. I don't just mean it's really hard, and I don't want to do it, it's impossible. I just can't do stuff like that... In Ocarina of Time, in the Lost Woods where you follow along with those two Skull Kids with your Ocarina, I had a lot of trouble... And that's just memorizing the notes, not the notes and the timing. Maybe I should just sit down for a day, and hope I get lucky...

Yeah, I found that trick in the original. The fastest way of getting extra lives that I know of, when you get the half-way gate and keep doing it over and over again, warping out of the level after you do it. Another good place to get extra lives, is in Forest of Illusion 4. Go to the place pictured in the attachment, with a Koopa shell. Throw the shell so it keeps bounce back and forth between the pipe and the small raised section of ground on the left. Now, get the 1-Up off of the Fishing Lakitu's line, and let it and the one in the pipe throw Spinies into where the shell is bouncing back and forth. You'll have tons of extra lives before you know it. A funny trick that they fixed in Super Mario Advance 2, is in Forest of Illusion 1, in the part where enemies pop out of blocks that are floating in the air, just past the block with the different power-ups in it. Let the enemies jump out of the blocks, and then start jumping on them (using the Cape to float is a must). Don't kill any of them, though. If you have to bounce off something, but there isn't anything else that you can bounce off of, bounce off of a Wiggler. You can't kill those, so you can just keep bouncing off of them. There are also two of them, which makes it easier. So, keep bouncing off the enemies, until you start getting extra lives. Now, jump onto one of the Wigglers and float over to the other Wiggler so that the first one is off the screen. Bounce off the second Wiggler and float back to the first one. If you went far enough away, the Wiggler should have a flower on its head, like before you first stomped on it. Bounce off of it, and it'll sometimes give you a TON of coins (which will usually add up to about 3-5 lives) and a TON of points. This was the only way I could ever max out my score, since it doesn't save it in the original. If you have it, try it out. It's a fun trick. If you do it in Super Mario Advance 2, it'll just give you a 5-Up instead of the coins and points. I guess they found that in the original and fixed it...

I find you guilty of... something... I sentence you to one year without video games! If your friend got sent a GCN from the same country as you imported your GCN from, then they would work fine...

If the GCN isn't out in Australia, how are you borrowing games for it?
Originally posted by Squashed Snail lol I do have one. Though this is only mine. My brothers keep bugging me to play it, and my parents say the only way to get them off my back is to put half the cost into another one for them. I don't really want to, and they said no to importing another one. So that's really the only option for me to go with.... Oh yeah, and I don't want them playing with one I payed for fully. :p And no, I will NEVER let my brothers play MY Gamecube.... if I did, it'd be a pile of scrap after they'd finished with it....
I can understand where you're coming from... My brother and his friend play my GCN and other systems, and I'm surprised that my N64 still works... Probably the only reason it does, is because I take care of it really well. My brothers friend has probably dropped the controllers 50 times, on the systems that I have... (I'm serious, he usually drops one at least once, every time he comes over and plays). And then they complain about the controllers not working right, when they lose... But of course, when I lose, they say it's because I just suck... A good example of this is when my brothers friend was claiming that he was way better than me at Super Smash Bros. for the N64. So, we had a tournament, where each of us would pick the same character, and go through all of them (without items). We did this three times, over about six months, and I won every time. The last time, I won every match, and he still claimed that he was better... And of course, they complain when something doesn't go their way... But when I complain about the same things when they don't go my way, they tell me to "stop whining"... I point out to them that they do the same thing, and they deny it, saying that what they were doing was completely different. Okay, I'm just ranting now... Anyway, if you imported your GCN, won't you only be able to play imported games?
-
If you already have it for the Dreamcast, why would you buy it on the GCN, also? It's not going to be that different from the DC version...
-
Personally, I don't trust any mod chips, or anything that involves opening the systems case. And besides, it'd be cheeper to just buy a normal GCN and a DVD player than to import a Q and then have it modded... I don't see why anyone would want to spend more money just to have it all together.
