1. To get the Dungeon Map, you'll have to bounce up from the first basement (B1). The Map is in the chest that's one room north of the entrance, and one room to the west. Go to the room in B1 that's below the room with the Map. There's a trampoline enclosed by blocks (and torches at each corner). Your goal is to move the trampoline so that it's one space west and south from the northwest torch. To do this, you'll have to push the blocks that are on the east and west side of the trampoline out of the way, so you can push it into position. The boss of Level 7, Explorer's Crypt is a two-headed Gleeok. First, you have to destroy both heads, using your sword. Also, use the Roc's Cape to avoid the Gleeok's fireballs. When you destroy both heads, the Gleeok's body will will attack you. It'll jump up in the air and come crashing down again, causing an earthquake that will stop you from moving for a bit. When it does this, jump just before it lands, using the Roc's Cape. Attack the Gleeok with your sword, after it jumps.
2.
Originally posted by kuja i agree with all of that, except the part about Links Awakening. Y? because it was all a dream and would make since to go inbetween Oot and (drum roll please) Oot. Well between Young Link and Link, Something had to be on his mind during that dream. Plus that would explain the Ocarina which he likes so much ;), as well as Marin being so like Zelda except a little cooler ;) but the rest makes since, somewhat lol.
No, the whole thing wasn't a dream. The island was a dream. In the ending it showes Link floating in the ocean, sitting on a piece of wood. If it had all been a dream, he would've just woken up.
3. I think you have to buy a blue feather, or something like that. I read how to do it awhile ago, but I don't remember that much... Sorry.
4. Yeah, it's turning is pretty bad... That's why I don't use it. If I'm playing Grand Prix, I usually use the Stingray (I love that really long boost time), but if I'm trying to set times, I use the Falcon MK-II. I prefer to play on slightly slower vehicle, than to have bad turn performance.
5. Nintendo didn't create Pokémon, but they do have the rights to Pokémon. Game Freak licensed Pokémon to Nintendo.
6. If you want information and screen shots of the DBZ games coming out for the GBA, there's some at Nintendo's website. To Herman Nation: Treble already said that it's called DragonBall Z: The Legacy of Goku. Posting what someone else has already said is spam, so I deleted your post.
7. Drake walks slowly towards the end of the alley... He stops a couple of steps from the corner. Drake: Who are you? .......... Drake: I can tell you're there... Drake takes a step forward, and a ray of light slips through his trench coat and gleams off a yellow command Materia in the rocket launchers handle. Drake: I just want to know what you're doing in the item shop. It's supposed to be closed... I was hoping for a quite place to think, but I got something else, apparently. He steps out of the alley.
8. When you're fighting Ganon, you pretty much just wail on him with your sword... There really isn't much more to the fight, besides dodging his attacks. It's one of those fights where knowing how to beat the boss doesn't really help you at all, since it's pretty much just skill. If you don't have the Master Sword (Lv.3) you'll need to use Spin Attacks to hurt him, though. Normal swings won't hurt him unless you have the Master Sword.
9. I think I'll tell the history of the Zelda games, as I think they're ordered. www.zelda.com doesn't quite agree with me on this, though... Particularly about when Link's Awakening takes place. Warning! Possible spoilers! The series starts out with Ocarina of Time, with Link just a boy. He and the Seven Sages trap Ganon in the Sacred Realm. The Zelda in OOT is the first Princess Zelda. About a month or so after Link's adventure in OOT, Majora's Mask happens. He follows the Skull Kid into Termina, an alternate universe, and plays with the flow of time there. When he gets back from Termina, several hundred years have passed in Hyrule (this may have something to do with Link playing with the flow of time in Termina, or that maybe time flows differently in Termina than it does in Hyrule). Link stays with his "uncle" for awhile, until the events in A Link to the Past happen. The Zelda in LTP is the second Princess Zelda. After Link defeats Ganon and seals him back in the Sacred Realm, or the Dark World, as it has become known as, he takes a "vacation", a trip on which he can relax and think things over. Of course, Link and vacations don't mix well. His ship gets caught by a storm out at sea, on the return trip back to Hyrule, and he wakes up on Koholint Island. The events in Link's Awakening happen, and he gets back to Hyrule after waking the Wind Fish. When he gets back to Hyrule, he finds the land overrun by monsters. Ganon has broken out of the Sacred Realm again, and has captured Zelda (this is the same Zelda from A Link to the Past). Just before Zelda was captured, she split the Triforce of Wisdom into eight pieces, and she sends out Impa to find someone to recover the eight pieces of the Triforce of Wisdom, and defeat Ganon. Impa finds Link, and the events in The Legend of Zelda happen. He recovers the Triforce of Wisdom, and seals Ganon back in the Sacred Realm. After the events in The Legend of Zelda, there is peace in Hyrule, and Link is the keeper of the Triforce. But, one day when Link is standing in front of the Triforce, it sends him to two other alternate universes, both of which are in need. The events in Oracle of Ages and Oracle of Seasons happen, and Link stops Twinrova from bringing Ganon Back to Hyrule. When all that is over, Link gets back and discovers that Princess Zelda (yes, the same Zelda from A Link to the Past) has been put under a spell of sleep. The events in The Adventure of Link happen, and Link wakes Princess Zelda.
10. The bell is in Samasa Desert, which is east of Horon Village, along the coast. To get in, you have to know the combination to the gate. You can learn the combination from a Subrosian pirate. SPOILER! The combination to the gate, is: Push the third panel from the left twice, the second panel once, the first panel twice, and finally the fourth panel three times.
11. My favorite series is the Bishop series, followed closely by the Knight series, then Queen and Pawn. My favorite track is Bianca City: Ultimate Circuit. Gotta love them high speeds and hairpin turns, eh? :demon:
12.
Originally posted by Dragon Warrior I once talked to my friend Wesley about this. He says you can only get the 3 if Nintendo themselves gives them to you or Gameshark. Plus, Lamia is the bird you ride on in DW3. Nifty, aye?
Yep, back in volume 151 of Nintendo Power (December 2001) there was a contest where you sent in a post card to NP, and if it was one of 75 chosen, you sent them your DWM2 game and they'd send it back with the monsters. And yeah, I knew about Lamia from reading the section on Dragon Warrior III for the NES, in an old issue of NP that I got from my brother.
13. Yeah, some of the landscapes look pretty cool... And then it just seems really weird to have 2D paper cut-outs for characters... :cross: I like the effect that's used when you enter a building and its front wall "falls over" so you can see what's inside. I just thought that was a really neat effect... I'm not even really sure why I like it, though, Lol.
14. I have it, and I think it's really cool. After I got it, I didn't have to spend money on the cards anymore! I just wish they'd make a sequel with all the new sets of cards...
15. Pokémon Diamond is a counterfeit. There is no such thing... Not made by Nintendo, anyway. If you're playing a game called Pokémon Diamond, it's a fake. Someone wrote into Nintendo Power a couple months ago asking what Pokémon Diamond was, since he had heard about it on the web, and NP said that it's a fake.
16. I don't really know much about the Dragon Warrior Monsters games, but I do want to see if you know the answer to this question about DW Monsters 2: How do you get the monsters Dimensaur, Lamia, and Kagebou?
17. Drake is standing in the shadows, the hood on his trench coat (Yes, it's a hooded tranch coat. I like hoods, and I like trench coats, so I'm combining the two). covering his head, in the alley beside the item shop in Junon. He leans against the wall, thinking about anything and everything, enjoying the quite. A few minutes pass... He hears someone force open the door to the item shop. Drake: (thinking) Huh? What was that? He hears someone knock on the door... and then someone's voice. ?????: Who are you and why are you here? Drake: (thinking) Isn't there anywhere in this city that's quite? Even after almost everywhere is closed, I can't find a quite place to think and be alone... He fingers his small rocket launcher in it's holster, under his trench coat... Waiting for whatever happens next...
18. Yes, you can find them for download on the net. Some will even tell you how to make the character (it'll tell you that Alt+0233 is é, for example), in addition to letting you copy it to the clipboard so that you can paste it into whatever it is you're writing. Btw, I have to have Num Lock on, and I have to use the number keypad instead of the numbers above the letters on the keyboard. Sometimes things like this will make it work or not work. Like, if I don't have Num Lock on, the number keypad makes my cursor move.
19. I don't think this is on a website. It wasn't on EGMs website, and I don't think it would be anywhere else, since it was in EGM. EGMs website: www.gamers.com/egm
20.
Originally posted by Squashed Snail I believe there's a version of DW on the Gameboy, and I'm not too clear on this one, but I think I saw an advert. along time ago about DW coming out on the Virtual Boy... :drunk:
Dragon Warrior on the Virtual Boy? I don't think there was one on the VB... kuja would probably know about it, if there is one. I'm pretty sure there isn't, though. The only systems that I know have Dragon Warrior games on them are the NES, GBC, and PSX. There were a couple for the Super FamiCom (the Japanese SNES), but they were never released in the US or anywhere else, I don't think. I know they weren't released in the US. Btw, a funny fact about the Dragon Warrior series. In Japan, there's a law that says that all Dragon Quest games (that's what the series is called in Japan) must be released on either a weekend of holiday. The reason for this, is because the series got so popular that everyone would skip school and work, just to buy the newest one on the day it came out. I think it was after the second one was released, that they made this law. Funny, isn't it?
21.
Originally posted by James Uhh, you're starting to sound somewhat like Jabroni...God help us all...:nervous: :worried:
Jabroni3:16 is actually pretty nice, if you get to know him... Well, lets just say that the graphics are different from anything else you've ever seen... The game overall is pretty good, though. I was considering buying it for awhile after it came out... But I was still playing Final Fantasy IX (I still haven't finished it, either). Take a look at the graphics:
22. All right, here it is. A walkthrough for Level 6, Ancient Ruins. Sorry to make you wait, but I just couldn't write it last night. I wanted to... I even started to write it... But it just would've taken to long, and it was to late. All total, it took me about two hours to write the whole thing. Btw, I would've just posted it, but it's really, really long... So here it is, in all its text file glory, Lol:
23. Name: Drake Age: 19 Gender: Male Bio: He grew up in Rocket Town and loves to fly. Growing up in Rocket Town, he has heard about the launch on the rocket, and wishes that he could have been there to see it. Appearance: Tall and lightly built, he has a ponytail of black hair and he has dark green eyes. He wears a long black trench coat with a dark green shirt underneath, and baggy navy-blue pants. Weapon: Small, light weight rocket launcher and hand grandes. Limit Break: Magic Missile (Shoots a rocket from his rocket launcher that creates a large, lightning elemental explosion. Great for taking out machinery).
24. Drake: Kizu, I hope you've got lots of Fire Arrows... they all go through the door and into a circular room. Drake: I've got a bad feeling about this... He closes the trap door, yet it remains light enough to see. The light from outside seems to shine through the ice that makes up the tower. Siren: Well, at least it's light enough to see in here... We won't need torches. Slowly, their eyes adjust to the lower level of light. Orion: We will if we go down to the bottom. Kizu: I can't imagine that there's very much light at the bottom of this lake... They step into the center of the room and suddenly, a monster pops out of the wall. It seems to be made out of half-frozen water, and has a shiny blue color. Drake: What the heck!?! He throws a knife, but it goes right through the monster. Drake: What is this thing!?! He draws his short-sword and slices at the monster. It stops moving towards him for a few seconds, but doesn't seem to be affected other than that. Kizu: Get out of the way! Drake jumps to the side, and Kizu fires a Fire Arrow into the monster. The arrow goes right through the monster and sticks into the far wall... But then the monster melts into the floor, in a puddle of water-like liquid. Drake: Dang, that was close! He sheaths his sword and recovers his knife. The knife blade has crystals of ice forming on it. Orion: Well, there's a door to another room over there... Do we wait in here for awhile and hope the dragons give up... Or do we explore the Tower? Drake: It's only going to get colder, the farther we go down... But dragons don't like the cold... And I'm curious. Lets explore. Siren: Curious, eh? Sounds like some famous last words. :smirk:
25. Sonic Advance is already out. Sonic Advance was released on Feb. 5 and Sonic Adventure 2: Battle was released on Feb. 12.
