1. Definitly 2D sprites... Cecil and Kain from FFII looks really cool. So does Setzer and Shadow from FFIII. Ahhhhh... The good old days..... Wait a minute! I played through FFVII before those... AGH! I missed the good old days! *bangs head against wall* :bawl:
2. Yeah, Symphony of the Night (PSX) and Circle of the Moon (GBA) are two of the best games in the series, or so I've heard. I've never actually played a Castlevania game... I've been thinking of renting Circle of the Moon, though.
3. I think it's great that Sega is a 3rd party developer now! This way, you'll be able to play their games no matter what console you have! I'll finally get to play Sonic games on my Nintendo systems! I don't have anything against Sega's systems, it's just that I never have enough money for two consoles... I think it's funny to go back through all my old issues of Nintendo Power and Electronic Gaming Monthly and see all the Sega and Nintendo adds bashing on one another.
4.
Originally posted by Crazy White Boy I dare anyone that has replied to this topic to skip the VHS tapes of the show and buy a tape of the early nineties film instead.
AGH! NO!!! That movies was REALLY bad! And it's boring too! This is the closest I've come to hating something made by Nintendo! It's that bad!!! Don't do it!!!
5. Are you talking about the end boss, Veran? Is so, it's a she, not a he. How to beat Veran: At first, Veran will be in Queen Ambi's body. Shoot Mystery Seeds at her to make Veran come out, and then use the Long Hook and Sword. When Veran transforms into a winged demon thing, jump away from her fireballs with the Roc's Feather, and attack with your sword as she flies by. As a turtle, jump away from her with the Roc's Feather when she hops around, and hit her with your sword when her face appears. As a spider, stun her with Bombs and then use your sword, avoiding the webs. As a bee, jump over the stingers with the Roc's Feather and hit her with the sword when you can. Kill the swarm to get Hearts. Veran will cycle through her different transformations a few times before you beat her.
6. The small bugs in Ocarina of Time have two uses. The first, and most helpful, is when you drop them on a patch of soft soil. When you do, a Gold Skulltula will jump out of the soil after a few seconds. The second use is selling them to the guy that asks you to sell him something "with C". When you're young, he's in the Market, and when you're old, he's in Kakariko Village. Just use the bugs/fish when the A Button icon at the top of the screen says "Speak" and he'll buy bugs for 50 Rupees and fish for 100 Rupees.
7. Yeah, see, I'm exactly the same way. I've only really lost my temper four times, (all of which were because of my brother) and I've punched/kicked (whichever was easiest at the time) my brother four times... I get into a lot of arguments with him, (one, just today) but I'm usually quick to let it go. Hey, I'm pretty good at this... Maybe I could become a Psychiatrist! Lol! :freak:
8. Reading that makes me sad for the kitten, because it got hurt... But it makes me feel good to know that it has a good home now. I think it's great that you took her in. I would have a cat, except that two people in my family are allergic to cat hair...
9.
Originally posted by Delian I don't have any pent up rage...I'm an angel...I treat all people the way I wish to be treated...with respect...My workmates call me princess...well some anyway... The rest think i'm a cheeky devil with a wicked, sometimes dangerous sense of humour....But i'm one of the nicest people you'll ever meet:angel: Honest;) ... Lots-A-Luv
Yeah, I'm nice and all that too... That's why all my rage is pent up. Because I barely ever let it out... But when I get really mad... BOOM!!! ..........
Originally poted by AJ2K1 4 Life :rotflmao: Oh God, that is the most funniest thing I've heard on these boards...
Why is that funny?
10.
Originally posted by Sephiroth the main point of this topic is that I rock! lol :D
Wow! It sounds like you've got as big an ego as I do! Lol! :toothy: I'm not sure if I actually needed the Underwater Materia, or not. I might have, just because I cast KOTR so many times... Yeesh... That was the second longest fight in the game, first being Ruby WEAPON. It's actually quicker for me to just use normal attacks and Counter Attacks against Sephiroth, than to use KOTR. :D I can beat him using only HP Plus, Counter Attack, and Double Cut Materia!
11.
Originally posted by Sephiroth what else is new? :smirk: I always knew link was called link, I had never mistaken him for zelda, probably because I read the back of the box where it talks about link and zelda before I played the game....
I would of done that when I was little, when I was just watching my brothers play, but I couldn't read. :whoops: A funny thing about video games... They actually helped me to learn to read and spell... Especially watching my brothers play Final Fantasy II and III. Lots of text in those games.
12. Starting today, the MSRP of a GBA is $79.95! That's $20.00 less than it was! If you have the money, I would definatly think about getting one. Here's some good games: Super Mario World: Super Mario Advance 2 (available on Feb. 11) Mario Kart: Super Circuit Golden Sun F-Zero: Maximum Velocity Super Mario Advance Castlevania: Circle of the Moon Official annoucement
13. By now, the Squadron is sloshed, all except for Drake. Squad 1: What shall we do with the rest of the day? Squad 2: Lets climb up Da-chao and take a leak off the edge! Uproarious laughter from the squad. Drake: Check please! They exit Turtle's Paradise and the squad starts heading towards Da-chao. Drake: Oh no you don't! Get back here! Squad 1: Aw, come on! Drake: I don't think so... Squad 2: It'll be fun! Drake: You'll get thrown in the brig. That won't be fun. Come on, you guys have had enough to drink... We're heading back to the base. Squad 3: But it's only... *looks at his watch* .......... *looks again* ...Can't quite make it out... Drake: Come on! Back to the barracks. You guys aren't even sober enough to climb up Da-chao! (thinking) Although, it could be fun to watch... Squad 1: I bet I could make it... He trips over a rock. Drake: That's an order! Get back to the base and sober up! (thinking) The last thing I need is a bunch of drunk people with access to rocket launchers, on my hands... The squad goes back to the barracks and retires to their rooms.
14. It didn't say which episodes, but I hope it's all of them! Here's what it says in the EGM that I read this in: "Before Pokémon and Digimon, animated versions of Sonic and Mario wowed the youth of America. If by chance you missed this television magic, you can now catch both shows on VHS and DVD. Two volumes of each (The Super Mario Bros. Super Show and Sonic The Hedgehog) on VHS, and one on polyphonic DVD will be released by Trimark on Feb. 26. We're lining up already." I really hope they include the Zelda episodes too!
15. No, the Skull Kids in Ocarina of Time don't wear masks, but it sounds like it might be a Skull Kid. Btw, some Skull Kids are enemies. When you're old, go into the Lost Woods and go to the left. The Skull Kid that gave you a Heart Piece when you played Saria's Song, will jump off the tree stump and attack you. (Once you've given the Odd Potion to the Kokiri, and she's gone). Hmmm... I'm stumped... I can't think of anything from Ocarina of Time that fits that description..... Unless... Is this it?
16. Are you talking about the turn table?
17.
Originally posted by Delian The cup is half full not half empty
Here's what I say to that question, about the glass being half empty/full: The glass is holding 50% of it's maximum capacity. :toothy: I think I'm a pessimist, though...
18. I just heard that episodes of the Super Mario Bros. Super Show are going to be released on VHS and DVD! I'm definatly going to buy them! Is anyone else going to? (they're also releasing episodes of the Sonic cartoons, too).
19.
Originally posted by Crazy White Boy I'm pretty sure that I beat that sucker fairly with the help of my friend's Gameshark.
??????? You beat it fairly with a GameShark??? :cross: Yeah, I've known about that trick for awhile. When I fought it, it didn't even get to use that attack, though. :demon: I prefer to just use the Final Attack/Pheonix combo, though. I think it's spelled Air Tam Storm, but I'm not sure...
20. Dragons... crying?... :nervous: I sense a sharp plot twist ahead... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ A few hours later, Drake awakens to the rising of the sun. Drake: Huh? Where am I?... Silence... Drake: What happened?... He looks around him and sees the remains of a campfire. He notices that he's laying in his sleeping bag. Drake: (thinking) I'm back at the camp... Siren walks up. Siren: You're awake...
21.
Originally posted by Delian Renee, why don't you tie the little brat to a tree in your backyard...when it's about to rain...during the night:naughty: ....she might learn not to mess with you...and you would be blamed for something you actually did do.
I like this one. :demon: ...Except that I'm the youngest, and I can't do that... :(
Originally posted by Heaven's Cloud Del wants Renee to practically destroy her little sister. The only suggestion she didn't bring up was for Renee to make a Tiger Trap and have her sister fall in it and impale herself. I mean just the other day she got my little sister to beat up yours truly. Del, two words ANGER MANAGEMENT...I'm still walking with a limp, jeeze...you have all of this pent up rage, I live on the other side of the world and I am terrified of you:nervous:
Don't listen to him! Having a bunch of pent up rage is great! You save it until you really need it, and then it all comes out at once! :demon:
22. If you already have the Noble Sword (Lv.2) it'll be the Master Sword (Lv.3), but if you only have the Wooden Sword (Lv.1), it'll be the Noble Sword. If you're playing a linked game and have already gotten the Noble Sword from a Secret, then it'll be the Master Sword in the Lost Woods.
23. Here's how to complete the trading sequence on Crescent Island: When you first wash up on shore (in the past) walk to the right and push the seed in front of the indentation in the wall. Walk down along the sand until you can't go any farther, and talk to the Tokay standing next to the dirt mounds to get your Shovel back (if you're playing a linked game, you'll meet Rosa instead of a Tokay). Trade the Shovel in the cave, north of your current location, to get your sword back. Now go to the north-east corner of the island and you'll find a small hut. Go inside and trade the sword for the Power Bracelet. Exit the hut and go two screens to the south, where you'll see a stairwell being blocked by a rock, up on the cliff to the west. Go one screen to the south, west and then north (between the palm trees and the edge of the cliff). Lift up the rock and enter the cave to retrieve your Bombs. Go one screen to the north (going back along the cliff, the way you came) and climb up the stairs to the cracked wall. Open the cave with a Bomb and enter to play a mini-game for a Scent Seedling. Go back around the island until you're one screen to the west of the hut in the north-east corner of the island, up on the cliff, and plant the Seedling. Jump off the cliff and go into the hut, and trade the Power Bacelet for the Roc's Feather. Go south along the beach and then up the stairs. Turn right at the top of the stairs and jump over the pit. Go to the west and then north, and bomb the cracked wall that's in between the palm trees and the bushes. Use the Roc's Feather and Bombs to get to the Tokay that has the Zora's Flippers. Go back to the trading hut and trade the Roc's Feather forthe Power Bracelet, then go back to the cave where you got Zora's Flippers, this time lifting the stones that are just north of the pit that you jumped across last time. Go back into the cave and dive into the square of deep water that's surrounded by shallow water (which is blocked by stones that you need the Power Bracelet to lift). Upstairs, you'll find the Seed Satchel. Go back to the trading hut and trade ten Mystery Seeds for the Roc's Feather. Now it's time to get the Harp of ages. Go back along the beach once again and go west at the top of the stairs. Keep going west until you can't go any farther, and go in the cave. Go through the cave until you emerge on the left side of the nut things that were blocking your way. Get the Harp of Ages from the Tokay and then go back to the hut that's three screens to the south of the trading hut. Use the Harp of Ages with the Time Portal, and warp to the present. Go south along the beach and then up the cliff and then north until you can't go any farther. Go to the west and jump down off of the cliff and then go north-west and climb up the vine covered wall. Go to the east and get some Scent Seeds from the tree that has now grown from a seedling in the past, to a full grown tree in the present. Jump off the cliff to the east and walk south along the beach, until you get to the time portal. Use the Harp of Ages and warp back to the past. Go north up to teh trading hut, and use the Scent Seeds that you got from the tree, to trade for the Shovel. You now have all of your items back, and are free to enter Level 3, Moonlit Grotto (in the present). Hope this helps! (I actually wrote all of this, I didn't just copy and paste out of some walkthrough). :)

25. Drake is in Turtle's Paradise, sitting at the bar with his squad. Drake: Something has to be going on... It's been almost a week since Shinra has attacked... Squad 1: I think it's nice. We even got some time off. Squad 2: Yeah, this is a welcome break... Drake: It is nice... Squad 2: So relax! Enjoy yourself for awhile. Drake: ...This just isn't right... Squad 3: You're just paranoid. Drake: Maybe you're right... Maybe not... He takes a drink of his iced tea. Squad 3: It's not like the entire base is going to burn down if you're not there for one day. Drake: And it's even less likely if you're here, with your accuracy... :smirk: Squad 3: I may not hit dead on, but I get close enough to get the job done. Rockets aren't a very precise weapon. Squad 1: Especially not with the fly-by-wire. Drake: Long range rockets are nice, but when you're in closer trying to hit a moving target isn't as easy. Even with the fly-by-wire, maneuvering around tight corners is hard. You should know about that. Drake nods to the newest member of the squad. Squad 12: I'll pass the training excercise next time! Drake: First thing tomorrow, you're trying again until you do. He takes another drink of his iced tea. Drake: Maybe I am just to paranoid. :smirk:
