I was asking kizu, but the reason I asked is because every Member No. I've seen has a dash and zero on the end. I'm wondering why there's a dash, and if anyone else's has some other number instead of a zero.

It's not a new type of CD, it's just a DVD. The maximum a DVD will hold is about 30 GB, but they need a better laser to burn and read that much. They need a narrower laser so they can burn and read smaller pits and plains. I haven't heard about this new compresion, though. That'd be really cool.

Hmmm... If it's going to be in a chat room, I guess I won't be able to come. Dang. Could someone save the messages for me, maybe?

I had the same problem with registering on www.nintendo.com. I remember that there where two boxes for putting in your Member No. I don't think that you use either the dash in your Member No. or the last digit. There's a specific way to do it, but I forget how exactly you do it. Btw, is the last digit of your Member No. a zero?
Originally posted by KyJaUn~FuLlEr Hey charmander dude u confuse me first u ask what the legend of zelda is now u play the games dude you confuse me :therock:
Just because he's beaten one of the games, doesn't mean he knows much about the Zelda series. When I first started playing the Zelda games, I didn't know squat about the series. I think that it's great that he wants to know more about how the series started out and just more about the series in general.

I think that what Trunks Kun means, is that Hylians are mortal, (they're still an elven race, though) but elves from Middle Earth are immortal.

Yes, I can anwser those questions. 1. Link isn't a Kokiri, he's actually a Hylian. After you beat the Forest Temple, everything about why he lives in Kokiri Forest is explained. 2. At the start of Majora's Mask, Link is actually looking for Navi in the Lost Woods. The Skull Kid ambushes Link and steals the Ocarina of Time and scares Epona off. When Link catches up to the Skull Kid, Tatl (the Fairy you get in Majora's Mask) gets left behind when the Skull Kid runs off, and realizes that the Skull Kid doesn't really care about her or her brother (Tael). So, she decides to go with Link, who's going to follow the Skull Kid to get the Ocarina of Time back.

Having trouble finding the keys, eh? I had the same problem. Here's a guide to finding the six Small Keys located in the dungeon. I got it from www.zelda.com so you can be sure it's good.

Congratulations! I too, think that Link's Awakening is the best GB game ever. And yes, beating Dethl is easy... IF YOU KNOW THAT YOU CAN JUMP OVER IT'S ARMS!!! When I beat it, I didn't know... If you want a real challenge, try beating it without jumping over the arms. Although, you probobly won't be able to beat it if you don't have the DX version. When I beat it, I had the Blue Tunic, which makes you take 1/2 damage. Also, if you want to be REALLY cheap, hit it in the eye with the Boomerang, and it will die from one hit. I would suggest beating it the real way before using the Boomerang, though, if anyone hasn't beaten it yet.

The Legend of Zelda was the original action/rpg for the NES. It was also the very first game to feature a battery back-up, so you could save your game. The reason every sequel (besides Zelda II The Adventure of Link) bears the prefix "The Legend of Zelda" is because each game is only part of Link's adventure. Each game could be compared to a chapter in a book, which is still being written. If you'd like to learn more about the series roots, go here and you'll find lots of information on the first Zelda games (although there isn't any current info on any past Ocarina of Time).

Yes, I do enjoy helping people with games (especially the Zelda series). I'm always ready to help someone in need. Okay, the Water Temple. From what you've said, it sounds like you need to get the Longshot next. Here's how to get it: To get the Longshot, you have to raise the water level to its highest and swim to the west side of the central room (3F) and climb up onto the floating block, to enter the locked door. Go through the rooms until you come to a big, square room with a single dead tree in the middle of it. Go to the exit of the room, and you'll find the door barred. Go back to the dead tree and you'll find Dark Link. Dark Link is a copy of you, only evil. If you have the Biggoron's Sword, it will be a breeze to beat. Just keep Z Targeting it and use the Up+B stab. Dark Link will block some of the stabs, but some will slip under it's shield and hit it. If you don't have the Biggoron's Sword, try using spin attacks (using the Control Stick, not charging up) when you're close to it. With any luck, the energy wave will go behind it's shield and hit it. Other than that, you've just got to be good at fighting. Oh, and a couple other things about Dark Link. It has the same number of Hearts as you, so if you come into the fight with full life, you can only take as much damage as it can (but, you should have at least one Fairy, just incase). Another thing: Don't use the Jump Attack! If you do, Dark Link with jump to the side and, while you're getting up, it'll use a Jump Attack on you! After you beat Dark Link, the northern exit will unlock and, in the next room, you'll find the Longshot. After that, you get to go through the hardest room in the dungeon. :toothy: After that hard room, (the one that looks like a snake) you shouldn't have much trouble getting the Boss Key and getting to the Boss Chamber. If this didn't help you, PM me with more about where exactly you're stuck and what you last did, and it'll be easier to help.

If it doesn't come on the 15th, I'd write them an e-mail and tell them about how it didn't come on time. Be sure to include your name and Member No. Btw, the January issue doesn't happen to be the first issue in a subscription, does it? If your old subscription ran out on the December issue and you're starting a new subscription, (like, you got a one year that ran out with the December 2000 issue, but you had already renewed for another year) that could be why it's late. You might try going here to check on your subscription and the current issue that you should be getting.

How did you get the level 3 Limit Breaks without getting both level 2 Limit Breaks? But anyway, yes, you have to have all of a character's level 1, 2, and 3 Limit Breaks before they can learn their level 4 Limit Break.

Yes, there are sometimes mistakes in NP, but that happens with all gaming magazines. I also have a subscription to EGM, and there've been mistakes in it, too.
Originally posted by outlawstar_14 just like how i expressed my self in the past, i still think it sucks, sorry!:)
Yes, we know you don't like NP. You don't need to keep reminding us. Btw, I wrote a letter to NP awhile ago, about the fluctuations in the delivery time, and they said that the current issue should get to you no later than the 15th. So if you haven't gotten the January issue by the 16th, something's up.

Yes, the Golden Gauntlets are in the Shadow Room (the purple one) section of Ganon's Castle. You have to use the Lens of Truth to see the invisible path across the pits. They're in a Big Chest in a big room with lots of platforms connected by invisible walkways. Btw, when you get them, go outside Ganon's Castle and take a left at the end of the bridge. If you continue down the path, you'll see a huge stone pillar. Lift it up with the Golden Gauntlets and you'll find a Great Fairy behind it, in a cave. The Great Fairy will make it so you take half damage. Very helpful!

Okay, no capitals. Actually, the same goes for my username too. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Drake: Hey! What are you guys talking about? kuja: Ummm... nothing... Drake: You're not plotting against me, are you? Justin: Oh course not! We'd never do a thing like that... Drake: Riiiiiight... So am I going? Or should I go find stuff to make a bonfire? kuja: Why would you want to make a bonfire? Drake: Gotta cook breakfast. kuja: And where exactly would you have this fire? Drake: Out back, behind the base... Why, should I do it out front? kuja: No, you idiot. We have a kitchen, you know! Drake: Yeah, but that's not any fun. kuja: *sigh* ..........

To beat the Grim Creeper (yes, that's what it's called) you have to kill all six Battle Bats (and yes, that's what the bats are called). About the picture, I've never done anything with it and I've never heard that you can do anything with it. I'm in a funny mood tonight... Kind of a mix of happy, sad, annoyed and... Somethinbg else, that I can't quite put my finger on... Weird. :freak:

The extra cover that subscribers get over the normal cover is of Captain Olimar looking at a blue flower Pikmin which is in ground. It's a small picture with the rest just black. Here's a picture of the normal cover:

I agree with Crazy White Boy and James, but the ESRB ratings are a suggestion. it's perfectly legal for me, a 14 year old, to go buy a mature rated game such as Resident Evil. It's just that some stores won't sell M rated games to people under 17. I'd also like to say that if you think Nintendo only makes kiddie games, you obviously haven't played the original Super Mario Bros. or The Legend of Zelda or Metroid. Those games were HARD! and while the sequels seem to have gotten a bit easier over time, the gameplay has remained about the same. Even through the transition to 3D. What's childish about lopping the heads off of Stalfos Knights with a Spin Attack? Or blasting over 200 Missiles into a giant dragon that's trying to roast you with fire and hit you with it's tail, at the same time? That sounds pretty dang cool to me!
Originally posted by ShadowGohan I find that Legolas is probably better, Elves have better eyesight/hearing than any other race. They are light footed and very quick... unlike Link, who is slow (and dies alot; with me ;)). But Link can kill lots and LOTS of bad evil things... Legolas is better.
First off, I'd like to remind everyone that the Hylians are an ELVEN race! And is everyone forgetting that Link also has a Bow & Arrows, and is also a dang good shot. (at least I always am when I'm playing). And Link may not be as quick, but he's also carrying a buttload of cool items, such as the Hookshot and Boomerang, not to mention a sword and shield. And about the eyesight/hearing thing, it's never said anything about the Hylian races's sight, but the Hylians do have dang good hearing. Infact, they have such good hearing that they can hear telepathic messages from other Hylians. I'd say that's pretty good! I think it's obvious who I like better...

i've got some action figures of Link Zelda and Ganondorf from Ocarina of Time. Here's a picture of the set I got:

Wait! Mario and Link can't be the same person! Look at SSB and SSB Melee! They both appear at the same time in those games! But wait... You can have four people playing as the same character... AGH! My logic is in shambles! Although really, they can't be the same person. In Super Mario RPG, you can see Link sleeping at the Rose Town Inn if you spend the night there.
