Originally posted by GinnyLyn Ok, when does the RPG start and why the heck does every chara posted after mine also have memory loss?!?
I was planning to start it on Friday, Dec. 30 (which just happens to be a full moon. I think it's fitting that it starts on a full moon since, according to the comic book, Link got sent to the Dark World when it was a full moon.)

AAAAAHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! STOP REMINDING ME!!!!!! GGGAAAHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!! EVERY TIME I READ A POST ABOUT THE GAMECUBE I GET REALLY PISSED OFF!!!!!!!!!!! But... I've found that I actually like getting pissed off about not having one... Not as much as if I actually had one, but I still like it... And I have no idea why... weird...
Originally posted by Sephiroth or if your insane, defeat ruby weapon, which is impossible without knights of the round, which you need a gold chocobo to get in the first place, heh....
I beat the Ruby WEAPON without using KOTR or Omni Slash. Of course, my party was at Lv. 99. At the end I only had Red XIII left, and I'd use the Enemy Skill Pandora's Box, because it did the most damage (about 500) out of all of his attacks. I would use Pandora's Box, then an X-Potion or Elixer, depending on whether I needed MP. I did that about, ohhh... 30 times probably. But I beat it... And about fighting in the "special battle" in the Battle Arena, you have to have that character's ultimate weapon equiped or you can't enter it.
Originally posted by AJ2K1 4 Life Me is confuddled... What happened to FFX? Which one has Tidus in it? XI or X? Ack..
FFX has Tidus in it. I also just heard that they're going to release it earlier than expected, on December 26. I can't wait to see FFXI. I've been looking at various online RPGs for PC such as EverQuest and they look fun. There's just two problems with me getting FFX or XI: 1. I can't afford a PS2 2. I can't afford the fee for playing FFXI

Mario Kart Super Circuit is a must have. F-ZERO Maximum Velocity is another good racng game. Castle Vania: Circle of the Moon and Super Mario Advance are good platform games. Megaman Battle Network is a kind of mix between an RPG and an action game. Haven't played it yet, but it looks really good. Zelda Oracle Of Ages and Zelda Oracle Of Seasons are must have action/adventure games. They're not for the GBA, but you can play them on it. Plus there are extras if you play it on the GBA.
Originally posted by NorykoAngelcry Almost as bad as people that just give up if things are not going their way. . how sad.
Yeah, he does that too. He'll also give up right before the end of a match too, instead of waiting 10 seconds for it too end. That really pisses me off, because then it won't give a winner, it just gives how many KOs and TKOs a player got. Then he hits the button really quick so that we can hardly see the scores, and then he claims that he won.
Originally posted by Squashed Snail Do you mean to tell me that he has more than one ...........err..............thing behind the zipper place ??? :D
WAIT! Stop right there! I don't know about the rest of you, but I don't want this thread to turn into a discusion about "that". *shudder* Lets just say that there's a lot of detail on Mario's pants and leave it at that, shall we? btw, here's a character model of what Mario will look like in the FMV scenes in SSB Melee: -
The Skull Kid in OOT that you kill with the Biggoron's Sword to get a Huge Rupee (which is worth 200) is in the Lost Woods. When you enter the Lost Woods go left to find it. I just played, and it seems like you can't kill it with the Master Sword. If anyone succeeds in killing it with the Master Sword or anything else (besides the Biggoron's Sword) and you get a Huge Rupee, please tell me what you used and how you did it. I've never been able to kill it with anything other than the Biggoron's Sword. I never noticed a differance between any of the Skull Kids in OOT, but maybe one of them is differant. I'll have to check some time and look at them as young Link and old Link.
Originally posted by BabyGirl Hey, thanks for the link! That site looks really awesome.
Yeah, it's the official Zelda site. I think the best parts of it are the Encyclopedia (which I've copied and pasted into one LONG text file. If you want it I can post it as an attachment.) and the player's guide downloads. (The only problem is that they're REALLY big.)
Originally posted by stormwing Monster Type: can i be a dragon?
If you want to be a dragon/lizard, will something like this work? (see attachment)
Originally Posted By Majora's Mask Bio:One day, while travelling along, Akira stumbled upon the dreaded Dark World, where he was transformed into a very lage lizard like monster. He escaped, but sometimes returnes to plunder the riches in the Dark World.
Once you're in the Dark World you can't leave, unless you find the Magic Mirror which, unfortunatly, is in the Light World. And besides, Link will need it.
Originally Posted By Dragon Warrior Monster Type: Iksar
What's that? btw, you can either walk up-right on your hind legs, or you can walk on all four legs. And if you're a bird type monster you still have arms, but they have claws instead of fingers, and you have a beak.
Originally posted by ShadowGohan Your stratedgy seems really good... I still need practice against ONE lvl.9 cpu because I haven't been on it for a month!
I remember when I was first starting to take on three Lv. 9 CPU players, (usually C. Falcon, DK and Luigi). I would get REALLY pissed off at the game... Until one day I started playing and I was perfectly calm... And I won that match with the most points I had ever gotten... And I've been playing that way ever since. Some times I have to force myself to be calm if I start to get beaten. (Usually I only get mad when my brother's ******* friend comes over and plays with us, because he'll kick me when he loses, or just for no reason. A few months ago I got a pair of steel toed boots and I started kicking back. That made the kicks less frequent).

That's okay, I enjoyed reading it. heheheheh... I also like the old "dotty" pants that Mario used to have... *sigh* ...It makes me want to pull out my old NES and play SMB 1 and 3. btw, did you know that when Nintendo made the arcade game Donkey Kong (you actually played as "Jumpman" but he looked like Mario) They gave Mario a hat and mustache because they were easier to draw than hair and a nose? -
Yes, the N64 was lacking in 3rd party support because it was hard to develop for, but I think there'll be more RPGs, since a lot more 3rd party developers have said that they'll make games for GCN. And about butchering the controller: Have you ever played a fighting game (like Street Fighter) with the GCN controller? (I'll admit that the N64 controller wasn't the greatest)
Originally posted by BabyGirl Haha, I never knew it was like that...I mean, I was aware that it was all a dream, but Link's Awakening, being my first Zelda game ever, held little significance in my every day thoughts. I never related the fact that he was this big time hero who just wanted a break...beh...that's almost humorous...
Well, if you go to www.zelda.com and look at the history there, it'll say that Link's Awakening happened when Link was crossing the ocean from Western Hyrule to Eastern Hyrule in Zelda II. But, in the instruction booklet for Link's Awakening, it says that while Hyrule was at peace, Link went on a voyage to seek enlightenment (a vacation). I think that after he got back to Hyrule, Ganon had gained control again and the events in The Legend Of Zelda took place. Here's the order that I think the Zelda games took place: 1. Ocarina Of Time 2. Majora's Mask 3. A Link To The Past 4. Link's Awakening 5. The Legend Of Zelda 6. Oracle Of Ages/Seasons (I count these as two because there's no way to tell which came first) 7. The Adventure Of Link
Originally posted by ShadowGohan And jcgoudy, didn't Navi get lost or something and he went looking for her on Epona, and then he met the Skull Kid and was ambushed... (Did you know that the Skull Kid is the one from the Lost Woods who gives you a heart peice if you play Saria's Song?) If 100 years passes in Hyrule, doesn't Termina pass 3 or something days? It's a parallel world, so time passes ALOT slower, yeah?
Yes, Link was looking for Navi in the Lost Woods when he got ambushed by the Skull Kid. The Skull Kid that gives you the heart piece, in Ocarina Of Time, could be the same one that got Majora's Mask, but there are more Skull Kids in the Lost Woods, so it could be another one. About the 100 years that Link missed while he was in Termina, yes, time passed a lot quicker in Hyrule. Or using the Song Of Time so much messed things up. (And did you know that if you kill a Skull Kid with the Biggoron's Sword you'll get a Huge Rupee?)

1. I use the WormLight. 2. the WormLight. 3. No, not really. Maybe a little bit of glare, but not much, since you can bend it into the right position. 4. $5-$10 and pretty much anywhere that has GB/GBA accesories. 5. I'd recomend a GBA Game Link Cable for multi-player, and an AC Adapter if you play at home a lot. btw, if you get a WormLight that deosn't have the pass-thru you'll have to twist the plug around so that it'll shine on the screen and not the back of the GBA. Don't worry though, it won't hurt it. (it didn't hurt mine)

Neither of those links worked. How did you get to it on www.nintendo.com? What links did you use? And about the name, it could be a code name. I have an old Nintendo Power issue that has an article about "Project Reality". That was the code name for the Nintendo 64. Also, the code name for the GameCube was "Dolphin". Who knows if "GameCube 2" will be the final name for it, or if it's just a code name.

Desbreko replied to 9mm Avenger's topic in Noosphere
Hmmm... And just how did you come by this knowledge, may I ask? -
As you can tell from the subject, this is a Zelda RPG. It's set in The Dark World, before and during the events of Zelda A Link To The Past (SNES). If you don't know the story, just look at the first part of my sig. It explains pretty much everything you need to know about The Dark World. Here's my character: Name: Drake Age: 17 Gender: Male Monster Type: Rat (the kind of monster you transformed into when you entered The Dark World) Backround: Drake stumbled upon an entrance to The Dark World high atop Death Mountain while searching for treasure. He is an expert treasure hunter, but is now a thief, trying to servive in this ruthless world. Although he is forced to servive by theivery, he still dreams of the old days when he would travel the land of Hyrule, searching for treasure. Someday he hopes to find a way out of The Dark World, and spends most of his time wandering the land. Weapon: short sword/throwing knives (no one gets the Master Sword) Starting Location: Village Of Outcasts (I've attached a map of The Dark World)

My favorite character is Pikachu. Why? Because I can hit you up in the air with the Up+A attack, then jump up and hit you twice with the Up+A Air attack, then finish it with the Down+A Air attack. Heheheheh. And on Saffron City, I am the master of combos. I go down on the left side of the stage, on the little building, and bounce you off the right wall 5 times with the Down+A attack. Then, on the last bounce, you're bouncing so fast that the attack doesn't hit you until you're on the left side of me, and you go flying off the edge. My strategy? I don't have one. When I play, I relax every muscle in my body and half focus my eyes. I only hold the controller tight enough to push the buttons. When I'm like this, I kick major ***. I seem to see every little movement in slow motion. I can time my attack just right, so that it breaks through my opponents attack. I am in "The Zone". I have gotten to the point where I can predict what a CPU player is going to do next, and start my attack early, so the CPU player actually rolls into my attack. When I play with 3 Lv. 9 CPU characters, I never loose. I really get sick of people saying that they're "undefeated". Sooner or later, you loose. It's just unavoidable. Oh, and about the hidden characters in SSBM, just wait and see. It is, only 9 more days 'til it's released. And I think Luigi will be in it, because they've said that all of the original characters are in it, plus more, and Luigi is an original character. Who knows though. I've also attached my review of Super Smash Bros. if anyone is interested.

Gaming They put alot of work into Mario's Pants...
Desbreko replied to 9mm Avenger's topic in Noosphere
The shots where Mario has stitches in his pants are actually cinemas, not gameplay screens, so when you're playing, you there won't be that much detail. And why shouldn't there be that much detail? They have 8 texture layers, and I think they should use 'em. -
Originally posted by Navi It means they have to guard the entrance to the realm....
Actually, once the Seven Sages sealed Ganon in the Sacred Realm they didn't really have to do anything. It's not like the seal would break (on it's own, anyway). And since Ganon had the Triforce, they wouldn't have to guard it, either (that's Link's job anyway). So really, the Seven Sages could just live out their lives, just like Link... Except that he got ambushed by the Skull Kid and followed him into Termina. And then, when he came back, a couple hundred years had passed, but after that, he settled down with his uncle for awhile. I could go on, but I don't feel like telling the whole history of the Zelda series... And yes, I've memorized all of the history. Anyway, I think Link should stay single. Being the Legendary Hero of Hyrule, I don't think he'd have time for a wife. I'm mean, just look at his life. Even when Hyrule is at peace, he's getting sucked into other worlds that are in trouble. (Oracle Of Ages/Seasons) And then, when he tries to take a vacation, he crashes on an island that's all a dream, and he has to get himself out of that mess. (Link's Awakening) All in all, Link is a pretty busy guy that doesn't seem to have much free time.
Originally posted by NorykoAngelcry That really sucks JCGoudy =( Hopefully, you WILL get one for Christmas, and hope you get some great games for it. *crosses fingers* And having your B-Day and Christmas so close together is also good (I have mine on Febuary 23 :D Always nice for when you want that extra something 'big' for a present, LOL. For Christmas this year, I think I want a high definition progressive scan T.V. . . . it will allow Super Smash Brothers: Melee to be watched at a much higher resolution. . . LOL, and yes, that is the MAIN reason why =) I would also like a nice surround sound Dolby Pro Logic 2 reciever(not even sure if that is what it is or not. . *shrug*) but both of the later things, I can find for a fair price out there. . =) We will have to see then, right?
Starts slobbering all over the keyboard/monitor. That would be SO COOL to have!!!!! Slobbers some more. btw, I'm hoping to get SSB Melee and an extra controller with the system. I  GameCube.
