2. I drink either coffee or tea pretty much all the time while I'm at home. My family buys bags of whole French Roast coffee beans and grinds them fresh for each pot of coffee. The beans we get aren't the greatest but it still beats the crap out of Starbucks and pre-ground coffee. I usually go through three or four cups of coffee per day. For tea, we get English Breakfast and Earl Grey black teas—or at least those are the two I drink. Usually I move on to tea in the evenings after having coffee during the day. Right now I'm drinking Earl Grey, for example. Most evenings I go through two or three cups. I'm long past the point of the caffeine keeping me awake or doing much of anything, though. It takes no less than about two shots of espresso for me to even feel it. Which is kind of boring, but I've always drank coffee primarily because I like the flavor anyway. Staving off the occasional withdrawal headache is good too but I can deal with those. :p And now this has made me want espresso. I think I'll go make some. Edit: OMG yes, I feel the rush.
3. The first thing I look at are my PMs, if I have any new ones, since I have it set to give me a pop-up notice for them. Next I check the staff forum for new posts and deal with things from those two in order of priority. Secret staff business always comes first. :o Then I look in the Information Kiosk for new [strike]drama[/strike] posts and respond there if needed. Next up is checking the Graphic Worm for new entries. If there are any I download them and update my local copy of its web page to include them and make sure they match up well. On Mondays and Fridays (or thereabouts if I've been busy/lazy) I also update the live version of the page to include new pieces. After that I browse through any new posts that interest me in Anime Central and the Arcade, followed by the Lounge and maybe the Anthology. And, finally, if I have a project going (like adding a new bb tag, new avatars, the Caramelldansen skin, etc.), I work on that if I have time.
4. That's fine. I have absolutely no problem with this image. *passes out pellet guns to the fanclub* Go wild.
5.
Dessy has a motorcycle? o_O Oh my... XD That does it! Valentines Day, April Fools, the Caramelldansen skin... and now this? Where the heck do I sign up for the Dessy fan club!!! XD
I must if I'm OB's [strike]crazy[/strike] awesome motorcycle-riding uncle. ;)
6.
Yeah, I've got one. Abernikula. If you could just merge that one with this one and keep my current password. Or just delete that other account, that'd be fine with me.:p
I also have ways to check whether or not the accounts were created by the same person. If someone seriously tries to get another person's account merged I'll run them down on my motorcycle, so watch it. :demon:
7. Accounts can be merged, fyi. If anyone has multiple accounts and wants them combined just PM me with the user names and let me know.
8. My local copy was lost in one of the many hard drive crashes I've experienced lately so if the one on my old OtakuFiles site is gone then I'm not sure if it still exists. Hopefully someone else saved a copy of it.

11. As if this article needed to be farther discredited, neither Pokémon, Digimon, nor Yu-Gi-Oh! started out as a trading card game. And I know that at least Pokémon's anime started before its TCG was released, both in Japan and the US. I would've thought a junior in college, majoring in journalism no less, would've known what this thing called "research" is, but I guess there are always exceptions.
12. *rearranges my main list* Yay for updates. After watching ep3, Kanokon is still walking the line between "keep" and "drop." There was more face palming and sighs at the absurd amount of ecchiness but, damnit, the show makes me laugh. I'm developing a love/hate relationship with this series. I have ep3 of Allison & Lillia but I've been lazy and haven't watched it yet. Also finally picked up Macross Frontier ep1 and added it to my list.
13. old post from 09-28-2007
i cant seem to find episode 143 anywhere!
Probably 'cause ep143 hasn't aired yet. 142 is the latest that's out. So anyway, I started watching Bleach back when they were up to ep100 or there abouts. I burned through the Substitute and Soul Society arcs in no time 'cause they were awesome and each episode's ending made me want to continue on to the next right away. Then I got to the Bount arc and I was like, "Damnit, I haven't even read the manga and I can tell this is filler." I slogged through that much more slowly—vampire stories already hold little interest for me, and this was even worse. I was glad when the Arrancar arc started but the series just isn't as interesting to me anymore. Still, it's amusing enough that I keep up with each new episode. Hopefully, now that they're
heading into Hueco Mundo,
things will get good again. I've missed the Ichigo/Rukia dynamic that they had going in the Substitute arc and the Ichigo/Chad/Uryu team from the Soul Society arc. And I'm still waiting to see Yachiru fight. I imagine it will be awesome like Yoda fighting with his lightsaber in Star Wars Episode III.
100
new post Oh god, another filler arc. This one better be about fifty times better than the Bount arc or I'm dropping the series until we get more actual storyline.
14. I really want this game but I haven't even burned myself out on Smash Bros. Brawl yet. Plus I'm still trying to save money for a new PC. So it may actually be a bit before I get Mario Kart Wii. I suggest you guys use the time to practice for when my awesomeness arrives to spank you all. Also: No more snaking! (Or so I hear.) I got decent at it in Double Dash and MKDS so I could be competitive but I've always thought it was a stupid mechanic. Its abolishment makes me happy.
15.
But, like Shinmaru, there's no going gay for the bishies here. They pulled off the cat ears guy amazingly well but males just don't do it for me. Now, if Nadeshiko were a bit older. . . .
Ep25 made me do a facepalm and groan as I remembered this statement.
****ing traps.

16. Got a great shot from Soul Eater ep2 here.
17. I'm pretty sure I've gone to bed at every single hour of the day at some point or another so unless I'm being forced onto a certain schedule, such as from school, it varies wildly. And even then it can vary anywhere from ten hours before I have to get up to not sleeping at all. I like going to bed at 2:00 AM and getting up at 10:00 AM though. That schedule has always felt pretty comfortable.
18.
Some anime's that i've found are worth watching in the spring (found them online, they seem to be pretty good picks as i was reccomended half of them).
Er, this is a thread for talking about anime airing in Japan during the current spring season, not anime that you'd watch in the spring. By the way, ANN has a similar article up with impressions of new series. They've covered most of what's airing this season by now so it's also a good place to hunt down new shows you might be interested in. I picked up Amatsuki yesterday. Not sure yet if I'm going to stick with it but ep1 was okay. It's been added to my list in the first post.
19. I thought it was common knowledge that James and Adam are the parents.
20. Shigofumi seemed pretty controversial while it was airing in Japan last season. A few of the episodes weren't aired on some stations, "due to recent events," from what I read. I guess some of the content ended up being a little too close to reality for comfort.
21. I watched ep2 of S.A just now?and then promptly deleted it as I decided to drop the series. On one hand, the episode managed to make me chuckle a couple times compared to a flat zero from ep1 but, on the other, the student council president annoyed the crap out of me. Kei being a stubborn idiot over Hikari didn't help things either. Also, the squirrel was not nearly so awesome as the sloth. :animesigh
22. I've been seeing a few fansubs pop up in the DPG format for playback on the DS but hadn't looked into this before. It doesn't really interest me. As if the PSP's screen weren't tiny enough for video playback, one of the DS's screens is even tinier. I can only imagine how bad it would be trying to read subtitles on it. Music playback interests me more but I'd still rather buy a dedicated mp3 player instead.
23. True, but the complication lies in Ike being both a Japanese and English name. So even though they dubbed in English they could've easily kept the Japanese pronunciation due to it being said that way in the original version.
24. As soon as I heard how Ike's name was pronounced (i.e. the English pronunciation rather than the Japanese as I had thought it would be) I figured they'd use that for his cheer. But it was still pretty awesome when I first heard it as I beat the crap out of my friends with him. As for waiting times online, I haven't played a lot of With Anyone matches but it seems like it mainly depends on the time of day. I can never find any matches in the really late night and morning, afternoon tends to have some wait time, and evenings seem pretty active. I'm not sure if there's any sort of matchmaking to put people with fast connections to each other together (though I would hope so) or if that could affect wait times.
25. Since DigitalBoy isn't around to make these anymore I guess I'll give it a shot. I've started on the new spring season anime and thought I'd post up my impressions. I'm also curious what others are watching this season. Top Picks Kurenai I think this is going to be my favorite of the season. The little-girl-gets-dropped-on-a-teenager schtick isn't anything new but, unlike the other similar series I've seen, Kurenai isn't cutesy and doesn't try to be. In fact, it's a little dark and I'm loving its art and animation. The cuteness comes naturally from Murasaki simply being the little girl she is. The Tower of Druaga: The Aegis of Uruk It looks like Gonzo pulled a Haruhi on this one so don't judge Tower of Druaga on the first episode alone. Ep1 is a totally absurd mockery of fantasy RPGs/anime but ep2 reverses course and turns serious. The RPG-esque swords & sorcery setting always interests me so if the series can strike a good balance with its humor I think I'm going to like it a lot. Itazura na Kiss I gotta get my seasonal dose of (non-perverted) high school romantic comedy, you know? This one fills the hole left by Kimikiss and I'm already liking Itazura na Kiss more after seeing two episodes. I have a hard time explaining specifics but it has sort of the same feeling as Lovely Complex, which I enjoyed quite a bit. It also doesn't hurt that I really like Kotoko's character design. Nijuu Mensou no Musume Hirano Aya voices the main character so it has to be good. ... Okay, so there are other reasons I picked this up. It's about an infamous thief (think Lupin III only not so wacky) who kidnaps eleven-year-old girl Chizuko, though she actually goes willingly to join his group. Ep1 was basically just character introduction, so nothing too spectacular, but they'd have to totally botch this setup for me to stop watching. Good To Love-Ru -Trouble- If you can stand the excessive jiggling and general ecchi theme, this one looks like it should be really funny. Ep1 had plenty of mindless fun and, hey, I happen to have a thing for pink-haired, green-eyed anime girls. Macross Frontier So I don't really like mecha. I don't hate it but it doesn't interest me. Except when the mecha transform into fighter jets—apparently that makes it okay. I've had some interest in the Macross universe for a while now but never got into the older series, so I decided to give Macross Frontier a shot. I liked what I saw in ep1 and I plan on sticking with this one. Soul Eater I'm usually not very interested in the big shounen action shows but this one was pretty amusing. There's just something about a young girl swinging around a scythe bigger than she is. The art for this show is crazy, with the laughing sun being especially great. And I liked the OP theme enough to rip the TV size version out of the episode and encode my own mp3 of it. Kyouran Kazoku Nikki I've not seen such a load of weird, random, fast-talking crap since watching Excel Saga. I'm not even sure how else to describe this show. But as long as it keeps that up it'll be great for turning my brain off and laughing at. Mediocre Chi's Sweet Home It's hard to rank this one due to the show simply being three minute bursts of kitten super cuteness. I get the feeling it would lose its charm fast if too many episodes were watched in a row but one or two at a time isn't bad. Allison & Lillia Just as there's no plot summary of this on ANN yet, ep1 told me little about what the show is going to be like, other than that war and flying are involved. Allison, the blond pilot girl, looks like a fun character but beyond that it seems up in the air (lol get it?). It looks interesting so if they can pull a decent story out of it I'll keep watching. Amatsuki It's a fantasy series where two high school kids from the present (future?) get transported to Tokugawa era Edo and a female samurai saves their *****. That's about all I could gather from the first episode but it's directed by the same guy as Rurouni Kenshin and looks like it could be good. [strike]Kanokon[/strike] (dropped) OMG the furriness. While watching ep1 part of my mind rebelled at the thought of liking this show yet there were enough amusing bits that I have to give it at least a couple more episodes. I want to see more of the twins. I finally realized I have much better ways to spend my time than to watch this show. Boring [strike]Wagaya no Oinari-sama[/strike] (dropped) The first episode of this was slow and uninteresting. The fox deity was slightly amusing but no comparison to Spice and Wolf's Horo. It sounds like it's setting up for a monster of the week plot already. I don't think I can watch this one for the ears and tail alone. [strike]S.A (Special A)[/strike] (dropped) The best thing this show has going for it, in my eyes, is that one of the characters has a pet sloth. That's awesome. However, everything else bored me. The setting is generic as ever, the characters didn't interest me, and I didn't like the character designs at all. Unless ep2 somehow manages to impress me, or the sloth gets more screen time, I doubt I'll keep watching. [strike]Blassreiter[/strike] (dropped) I probably wouldn't have bothered with this in the first place if it weren't one of the series being streamed legally, since it didn't look like something I'd be interested in. And I was right, it's really not my thing.
