1. Well, I don't know a lot about PvP, but for PvE I have a few things to say. First would be to just use common sense. That will get you ahead of probably half the other players out there. Basically just ask yourself, "Are these skills I'm using working well?" If they aren't, look through the others available to you and experiment with things that look like they'd work better. Experiment and change things up until you find a skill set that's effective and enjoyable. I found that to be a lot of fun when I first started playing. As I got more skills, I'd change my build around to fit in the skills I found to be the most useful while discarding those that I found I wasn't really using, or weren't really doing much. After a while you get a feel for what works well together and whatnot. You can completely change your stats around without limitation so long as you're in town, so you don't have to worry about screwing your character up at all. Pretty much any class combination can be effective if you know what you're doing. (And, in fact, you can do fine using only your primary class.) Some are easier to play than others -- it's not exactly hard to just run up and beat on something as a warrior, for example -- but all of them are workable. So I'd mainly just say to pick something that you think you'd enjoy.
2. Blue Bubbles from the second quest of The Legend of Zelda. If you dispute this fact, you must not have played the second quest. Why are they so annoying? Well, if you get hit by one, you can't swing your sword. No, not just for a short amount of time, like with the bubbles in the first quest. You just can't at all until you go and touch a Red Bubble. Most of the time in dungeons, there will be lots of Blue Bubbles and only a few Red Bubbles. Sometimes there'll be rooms with Blue Bubbles mixed in with Blue Darknuts; get hit by a bubble there, and you can no longer damage the Darknuts. And did I mention enemies respawn if you go more than a few rooms away? Yeah, so don't get hit, or else you'll probably have to try all over again even if you killed a few of the Darknuts on your first attempt. In short, they can make your life in that game a living hell.
3. Getting stuck with a mob of biting pigs. . . . Man, you really know how to demoralize a guy. :animedepr But the bit where they ran into the thirty-foot cactus was hilarious. Especially when the car promptly exploded. That was perfect.
4. *sighs* . . . I'm sorry to do this, but with school starting again and with all the other things I have to do, I'm lacking in time and interest for this RPG. I imagine it hasn't gone unnoticed, as I was absent from the previous challenge. Lately I either don't have time, or I just don't feel like writing. Possibly due to cramming my head with several hours of school reading each day (that tends to put a damper on my interest in recreational reading/writing), but for whatever reason, it just isn't happening for me anymore. So, win or lose for the Heroines, I'd like to withdraw after this challenge if that's alright. If we lose, I imagine I'd be the one to get voted off anyway. . . . And if we still win, well, I think the Heroes could use a break. :p
5. You can already do this. Just go to the Member List page and there's a Search Members button on the top-right of the list. Type in a string of characters and it'll return all the members with that string in their names. There's even advanced search options, so that you can search by various profile information.

7. If anyone doesn't know how to use the spoiler tags, please read the sticky thread about them at the top of the forum.
8. This is why you shouldn't hotlink. . . . I went directly to the image's URL, though, and was able to download it. ImageShack is your friend:
9. If you're going to start a favorite thread, you at least need to provide a decent post to start it off. And if you really don't have any favorites, just look back through the older threads on this topic (I know there've been a couple recently) to see other people's favorites. Thread Closed
10. For those of you wondering what this is all about, take a look at the Wikipedia entry for O RLY? and it explains where it came from.
11. Excellent chapter, as always, Solo. Now I'm going to be pondering over how to go about making a tuxedo for my boot.
12. Just a note to people who didn't get in on the Wintersday stuff: I have a bunch of Gingerbread Focuses, Gingerbread Shields, and Peppermint Shields sitting around, from doing the quests on all four of my characters. So if anyone wants any of them, they're free to take.
13. We already have a thread about .hack//FRAGMENT, which you should be able to find a link to in the Play It Thread Directory. Please use it for discussing the game. Thread Closed
14. Someone hasn't been reading the announcements. :p Take a look at James' OB Tidbits announcement, currently third from the top, and you'll see that there are plans to hire more staff. Things have been progressing kind of slow lately, partly due to James currently being in the process of moving, but we are aware that we could use more moderators. Just a matter of time.
V7 Updates Despite the slower pace lately, I am continuing to focus on V7 updates for the time being. More staff will be hired and there will be a few minor changes here and there, but primarily you're soon going to see significant updates to the rules page. It's a page that has been in need of major updating for a while and soon everything will be brought up to scratch in that department, so please look forward to that.
I merged this with the Revolution thread, just so people know. Seeing as it was entirely about the Revolution anyway.
16. Yeah, there's not much to critique (unless you want to be an idiot and complain about the cropping or something), so posting other O RLY? pics that you've made would be great. I posted this just to get it out there for people to see, and now I'm interested in seeing what others have done with the phrase as well.
17. *points to previous thread* The search function is your friend. :)
18. Yes, that's one of the Lupin the 3rd movies. I've seen it, it was pretty good. But seeing as this is the gaming forum, can we keep this thread on the topic of the games, please? I believe there's a Lupin thread in the Anime Lounge for discussing the anime.
19. Original: OB Version: This just came to me this morning, completely out of the blue. And it had to be done. And that's Alex, me, and Ken (in order of appearance), by the way. Edit: ImageShack is having some problems. If they go down, I'll try and get them back up as soon as I can.
20. F-Zero AX has been out since GX has. AX is just the arcade version counter-part of GX, it's not a whole new game or anything. There are just very few F-Zero AX machines in the US, so it's hard to find it. You can unlock all the AX tracks and machines in GX without ever playing AX, though. You just need to beat all the grand prix cups on the hardest difficulty for the tracks, and all the story mode missions on the hardest difficulty for the machines. No easy task, but it can be done. Myself, I only have the tracks unlocked since the story missions annoy me on the normal difficulty, let alone hard and very hard.
21. I have only one thing to say: (Happy now Charles?)
22. First off, you need to have the banner uploaded somewhere on the net. I use ImageShack myself. Then once you've gotten the URL of the file, put it in your signature like such: [img]imageURL[/img]
23.
Id ban you for being an idiot.
I second that motion.
24. Sorry, but I gotta say this: Safer Sephiroth from FFVII is easy. Way easy. Super Nova, Pale Horse (the status effect one), whatever. Easily dealt with by a quick all-Cure 3 or a Remedy. Especially since everyone in the party can cast Cure 3 if you've bothered leveing up more than a single Restore materia throughout the game. Right now I'm playing through FFIV Advance and, so far, about half the boss fights in that game are harder than Safer Sephiroth. And I haven't even fought the final boss yet. Take the fight against all four elemental lords, all in a row, for example. Now compare Super Nova to Barbariccia's (wind elemental) Maelstrom attack. Super Nova does a few thousand points of damage to everyone, fair enough. But Maelstrom brings everyone down to under 10 HP no matter what. And then she likes to smack at least one party member with a normal attack right afterwards, to kill them. Better hope she doesn't take out Rosa and FuSoYa, because they're the only two (in a party of five that you're having to manage) who can cast Curaga and Curaja (aka Cure 3 and Cure 4). And Barbariccia is only 1/4 of the fight. Rubicante (fire elemental) also has his Glare attack which is pretty much just an instant kill against a single target; there's no way you'll have enough HP by that point in the game to survive. Oh, and he also likes to cast Fira and Firaga against the whole party, one right after the next, which takes about 1/3 to 1/2 of each party member's HP. I won't even bother describing the pains of the other two elemental lords, but they have their nastiness to them. Cagnazzo's Tsunami attack . . . heck, Scarmiglion's normal attacks. . . . I was having to fight tooth and nail through all four of the buggers, keeping a very close watch on peoples' HP, my two healers' MP, plus keeping an eye on the timing of my attacks so that I'd be able to cast a cure spell right after getting hit with big attacks. Because turns come up in the order people are ready to act, and you can't switch to another party member before acting -- and monsters will still attack in between your characters taking action. I have a hard time thinking of Safer Sephiroth as anything but easy after playing some of the earlier games in the series. Especially FFIV Advance here, being the hard type version of FFIV instead of the easy type version on the SNES. Even the end fight in the easy type version was harder than Safer Sephiroth. Edit: Okay, slight correction here. Rubicante doesn't use Glare against the whole party, it's only a single target spell. I was thinking of a different boss with a similar attack. But Glare is still an instant kill vs. a single character.
