Awesome white one. Totally. Those will be so much more rare than the PStwo and look so much cooler that you won't even care.
1. Sly 2 Band of Theives: I just beat Sly 1 today (only 5 hours but I havent collected all the pages). This looks pretty sweet. Bently has a b;'[']./,'in crossbow.
I really really really loved the first Sly. Got all of the pages, and all of the Master Thief Sprints too. But sadly, I think the second one is gonna be a bit of a disappointment. Some people like it more...but I think they changed out some of the stuff that was the best in the first one.... Probably still a fun game, but I don't think it'll be as good as the first...sadly I haven't really gotten to play too much of the new one yet. (what I played though was a little disappointing) But anyways, my Most Anticipated game...wow, that's tough. Hmmmm.... This year: (ok, narrowing down just one is tough) Paper Mario 2 Metroid Prime 2 Halo 2 Forever (till it comes out): NEW Zelda, whatever the hell it'll be called

Wait wait....I don't understand. Do you mean the floor tile in your house, or the ground outside, where the grass and everything is? If you mean the ground outside, then I don't know what you mean by square/star pattern.... I'm assuming here when I say the rest of this... When you dig, or interact with the ground outside of your town, it is in a grid format. Sometimes, when you have something (non-fruit), buried in one of the "squares," a small star-like 'X' will appear. Is this what you mean? That X simply means that something is buried there that you can dig up. If you want these little 'Xs' to be all over your town, then just bury something in every square... Hmmm...the answer I gave doesn't really seem to help at all I don't think because I'm still not really sure what you mean by squares/stars... If my assumptions were correct, then great, but if I am wrong, which I think I am, then I'm sorry and I can't help you till you give me more details... :-/

"Ughhh!! Parents!!" is right. This kind of stuff happens. They don't understand. You can tell them it's just a game, they won't understand. There's nothing you can really do about it. Of course that kind of stuff doesn't actually influence you to become a bad person...you'd have to be pretty screwed up in the head in the first place for that kind of thing to have any actual influence....or pretty ignorant/naive. Your parents fall into the category of ignorant. That's not insulting them, it's just saying that they don't know any better. The problem is that teaching them is almost futile. But they aren't entirely wrong here either. I think you'd have to be kidding yourself if you believe that playing "detailed" and "strategic" games such as this have absolutely NO impact on the players. People who play, they learn about guns, they learn little details about them. They don't learn how to shoot them or properly aim or anything, but going from no knowledge about guns to knowing that a Desert Eagle is one bad-*** gun is a pretty big leap in knowledge. Stuff like this DOES create an interest in guns and other firearms. Is that wrong? No, not necessarily, but then again, when parents see the base at which this knowledge is collected (Counter-Strike), they don't really have much else to go on and assume. They worry about you, they assume the worst...they can't help it...they just don't know any better. The only thing you can really do is KEEP telling them that it's a game and try to explain it to them more and more. It'll wear down on them...kind of like throwing buckets of water at a wooden door. They'll eventually understand more, but it'll be a tough ride for you. Perhaps it's best if you just gave CS up for a while and moved onto bigger better things anyways. I guarantee your parents wouldn't have as much a problem with that sort of thing if it was you and like 2 or 3 other friends sitting in your living room playing the same or similar thing. When you sit on the net and play games like CS, it tends to imply a kind of unsocial behavior, and an obsessive attitude. It's certainly something that amplifies worry, as opposed to looking like just a fun past-time, which it really is. Anyways, like Sciros said, CS is cheese anyways. Go play something better. :P

Yikes dude! 14, wants to do it, and slut are terms that don't really go well together... And if she's got other boyfriends/girlfriends, then she's not really your girl at all. If it were me, I'd stay away from a situation like that and slow the hell down, but then again, I'm not really in that situation, nor do I think I have ever been.

Strangest song you've ever gotten stuck in your head
S9per replied to ChibiHorsewoman's topic in Noosphere
Ha, this is kinda embarrasing, but bah, who cares. :P I once got that stupid Hillary Duff song ("Yesterday?" I can't even remember the name of the song, haha) stuck in my head. I felt really gay. :P -
I completely agree. The PSTwo is a brilliant marketing move that is designed to just win over those people that don't have PS2s already, or have people trade in their old ones for this newer model. And PS3 probably will have a fair share of must-own games during initial release, but Sony must-own games usually don't grip me as much as most others. Some really good RPGs and some other games will no doubt swing by, but the new GTA game, whatever it may be (and there will be one), and it will probably be one of the biggest flagship title for PS3 to start off, doesn't really attract me too much. I don't like GTA games... And mentioning Xbox doing the same thing...I heard that they in fact were doing something like that, but I heard that almost a year ago, and there haven't been any developments since, so I don't know what to think about that. But it would be interesting.

Actually, it might be a slightly lowered price. I heard somewhere something about $129.99, but I think that was just wishful thinking, but I'm not sure.
Bah, let's not get bogged down with who is right and wrong - that's just making the thread deviate even more from the subject matter. I say, "Listen to the mod and move on." Yeah, I have to say, the entire thread reeks of useless arguing. So, with that thought, I pose the following question: do you think SSB:M can be considered a competitive fighter on par with games such as Soul Caliber 2 and Virtua Fighter 4, which are games that were developed for competitive play and not primarily for party play?
On par with? Yeah right, SSBM beats the brains out of those games. Smash is way more designed as a party game. For one, with elements that completely keep the game random, such as weird stages and items, but with still the ability to turn those off. It can be played 2 to 4 player, which allows for much more fun. Not to mention that the following for games like Smash is way more than games like SC and Tekken and Virtua Fighter.
I highly recommend that you check out the recently released DVDs. That whole story behind that scene is totally true, and it's rightly considered one of the greatest filmmaking techniques in history.
Yes, thinking of it that way is also true. I was just thinking about it...how much different would the rest of the movie had been if Luke (Hamill) knew that
Vader was his father
when they were still back on Tatooine shooting the scene where Obi-Wan was telling him about his Father, or the scene on Dagobah before going to Cloud City with Obi-Wan and Yoda. Yes, it was perhaps a really good tactic coupled with the fact that they are great actors. I suppose we can also assume that the actors did have a sentimental attachment to the characters also, because without any sentimental attachment, something like that probably wouldn't have worked either. And I do have the DVDs and I like them very much. :D Haven't watched all of the extras yet though.
Better safe than sorry, you know?
Yeah, sure. Why not?

Yeah, but PS3 will be like $300, and it won't be out for a while, like you said. I have a lot of PS2 games I want to play now...or soon. And I probably won't be buying a PS3 in its first year of release, but that has yet to be seen... Unless they were to release, like, a new Zelda game for PS3, there isn't going to be anything that I would go out and buy a PS3 for... I don't know though. I have thought about how buying a PStwo for 150 is just throwing $150 away...it'd be like getting a PS2 and a PS3 for $150 apiece... But then again, when PS3 comes out, those PStwos will probably be like $50.

First of all, I couldn't have just as easily told him, because hitting reply here is much much easier than PMing him. Secondly, who is it hurting by me replying to the subject matter brought up in the thread, in the thread itself. The pictures of Link I was talking about, and the tournament I was talking about, and how it was going to be awesome, were all relating to Smash Bros. Melee. And the "And yeah, it's next Saturday." You don't think that has enough relevance to Smash Bros. to be brought up here? But I will keep that in mind these "annoyances" that you have here and try not to spark them again. I understand what you're trying to do here, and I will try not to let anything like this happen again, but we were talking about Smash Bros., we were talking about the stuff that happened here in this thread. If that doesn't have enough relevance, then that is stupid. It's not like I started talking about what I ate for dinner or anything, and that it got really drawn out... You know, you could've just as easily not said anything here and probably avoided this...this has probably caused more irrelevant to Smash drabble than anything to come before... And as for Bowser players. There are no power Bowser players. There are only people that are so good at the game, that they can do really well with Bowser. Bowser is one of the only characters that can be said for...the only other people that might be able to classify that way is probably....Game & Watch, Young Link (maybe), Zelda (maybe), and that's about it...
Just a quick thing about that, heh. When you figure that during filming of Empire Strikes Back, apart from Lucas, Kirshner, and one or two other members of the production staff, nobody else was aware of the truth. Mark Hamill was told only a few minutes before the scene was shot, as was David Prowse (who played Vader). Literally, Lucas or Kirshner took Hamill aside a minute or two before that shot, saying, "Okay, Mark, up until this point, this is what you've been hearing, but this is what he's really going to say..."
If that's true, that's (albeit cool) a terrible way to direct. It's one of the most important scenes in the star wars history and not giving them time to properly prepare is terrible. Thank God they're all awesome actors. :D
That's how it went, lol, so, if the actual actors had no idea, I don't think it's all that outrageous to believe that some people don't know. Plus, it's a pretty huge plot twist, and I know Manic likes us to Spoiler tag stuff like that, so that's why.
Well, it is a pretty big spoiler, but honestly, the people now are reasonably honed in on plot twists and things for it to be quite apparent and evident what the "twist" here would be. It is quite predictable, even if it is fantastic. But anyways, that's why I said it was funny, not because the spoiler was unnecessary, but because the idea that people don't know that by now is crazy...especially with the re-release of the movies on DVD....I imagine within the next couple months, the people that haven't seen it, will.

I have a bunch of Link pictures I can give you. And yeah, it's next Saturday. I think it's gonna be pretty cool, so it sucks that you'll miss it.
I like the gold "SCIROS" text, heh. I'm keeping it that way. I tried a bazillion color combinations before I ended up with this one, which was/is my favorite of them. Changing the gold to blue/purple didn't work, and neither did a whole slew of other color tweaks. I mostly wanted to go for something that I wouldn't be tired of too quickly. Oh, and yeah, the page isn't centered. It's aligned to the top. But that's how I want it, heh. It doesn't annoy me in the least. If you like you can always make your browser window smaller so the flash is in the exact middle...
I do like the gold "SCIROS" also. It looks really cool. But the whole browser thing....come on, who the hell is gonna do that. And that would be equally irritating. It's like confining your eyes more, and you know it. Like, when you look at a window, your eyes confine to the size of the window to look at it...which is why small windows, are extremely annoying to read. This is like having a small window that you have room to extend, and want to extend, but can't. It's just irking...it's not a design flaw or anything, it's just...irking.
Heh, dude, you and I are as "super-pro" as it gets on here, sadly. And there isn't much to read on here, honestly. Just a bunch of garbage and arguments about tiers and so forth that you'd be best off ignoring altogether.
Yeah, I totally ignored it...it's too much to read.
-
It would depend on what you mean by that, if you mean people who play non-stop super Smash Brother Melee and know most of its secrets then i guess you would be right. By the looks of this topic there seems to be a number of pro's out there in the OB :D .
Yes, I mean people that play the game a lot, know everything about it, can wavedash their brains out and annihilate other players as if it were their job. And sadly, from the looks of it, there don't really seem to be that many super-pros out here, really. No offense to any of you guys of course, but if you saw the real super-pros out there, you'd understand (as I'm sure some of you do). EDIT: Sheee-eeesh! I was gonna read the whole thing to get a better idea of the entire situation, but holy crap! I can't read all of that. I skimmed it over already and got the general idea, and I stick to my assessment, but wow, I didn't expect so much to be here. Haha.

I really enjoyed this game. For those of you that really liked the DC version, the GC version is totally up your alley. It's the same great game (down to the basics), with added in (funny) moments, added in side-story-ish thing, and best of all, added in side quests, discoveries, and Bounties! Basically think of the bounties as extra hard and fun boss battles. Extremely fun game. It's quite generic as far as battle mechanics go, but the game is lots of fun. The story is pretty generic also, but it really shines in the characters. The characters, albeit cliche are quite fun and interesting to watch. The only thing that disappoints me is that I heard about some sort of sequel coming out for, Cell phones... Yeah... So basically they decided to flush that popular and good-sequel potential game, straight down the toilet where no one will ever play it...
-
Just had to give a shout out because I'm hella excited about this game...duh. (haha, don't ya just love n00bs?)..but seriously, I imagine this'll be a pretty busy thread right up till the game comes out...at which point there will be multiple threads regarding this topic that will be thus busy. :P
-
It is definitely impressive. When I first heard "PStwo," I thought "retardeeeeed," but then I actually saw it and I caught myself saying "wow." I think I might (maybe) get one when they come out...

I am also extremely extremely pumped about this game. I really loved the first Paper Mario and am highly anticipating this one. It looks like everything before and more and better. :D My two quesitons about the game though are... One...I played the demo they have on display somewhere or another and did anyone else (who played the demo), notice that they got rid of that spin manuever that he had in the first one? I loved that little move...I NEED it back!! Anyone know what happened to it? Like, is it gone, or has it just not been "earned" yet? Two...will it be better than Paper Mario and/or Mario & Luigi Superstar Saga? I think every game in the Mario RPG series has been better than its predecessor...which is saying quite a bit. Super Mario RPG is one of the greatest games ever and it rocks my socks off. And then Paper Mario after it I liked more, albeit the shortcomings it had. And then Mario & Luigi was just suprisingly amazing. So now my hopes for Paper Mario 2 remain high. I do think Paper Mario 2 will top Paper Mario, but I'm not so sure about it beating M&L...but, here's hoping. :D

I was just reading this, and the fact that the
father
thing was spoilered out is hilarious. The fact that everyone doesn't know that already boggles my mind. I spoilered out my post not to be hypocritical, but because I wasn't sure if that was an issue that has been discussed before about Star Wars "spoilers" and how those people living under a rock did actually plan to see the movies eventually and didn't want them "ruined" for themselves... As far as fights go...there are a bajillion awesome fights out there. There's story driven epic fights like Luke vs. Vader, etc etc, and then there's those awesome fights with Jackie Chan and stuff.
-
I hate Friends...with a passion. Haha, so yes, I think it is Overrated. I do like Everybody Loves Raymond though...I think their zany off the wall family antics are hilarious. The stupid wife and the stupid kids are the only non-hilarious characters.
-
Ok, I had to find the thread regarding this. Smash Bros. Melee = most kick-*** fighting game ever. I love this game a lot. Are there any super-pros around here?
-
Bah, screw you and your making me only list 10. And also screw you and your making me order them...cause I won't do it (too much work). Batman: The Animated Series Superman: The Animated Series Spiderman: The old-new show....not the old-old, but not the new-new...the middle one with the good voice acting and not crappy. Beast Wars (shut up don't argue) Turtles (old...duh) Samurai Jack Invader Zim Family Guy Futurama ATHF
