I'm 15, 16 January 10th (looks around for suggestions of birthday wishes, sees none and sinks into depressive spiral). Maturity is overrated. I actually think I have become less mature in the last couple of years, but I don't really care. I like me the way I am.

Shadow walked on, desperately trying to find his way out of the forest part of the Safari Zone. He had spent too long in there. Alakazam... What was that? A voice, like the one he had heard earlier, all the way back at the beginning of the challenge. What had that one said? He couldn't remember, but he must... Abra... Abra! That was it! He had caught it a while back. But he was beginning to feel drowsy, as if the whole place wanted him to go to sleep. He stumbled a little, then fell flat on his face. Alakazam... There was the voice again. What was this one saying? Alakazam? Like it was doing some kind of magic spell? Why would it be doing that? Kadabra... A different voice now. Kadabra? As in Abrakadabra? Interesting. He fumbled around on his belt for a while, then pulled out a Pokeball that had already been filled. He released the Pokemon inside it. Abra... Kadabra...? Alakazam They were talking...but what were they talking about? No matter, now that they were distracted, Shadow didn't feel sleepy any more. He got to his feet, and threw a Pokeball at the larger of the two Pokemon that had just appeared. Congratulations. You have captured....an.........Alakazam. Alakazam? Really? Well, he would have to catch Kadabra just to make the set complete now, wouldn't he? -------- OOC: Claim Kadabra

Codename/Callsign: Hotstuff Gender: All man. In fact, he even wishes sometimes he was less of a man! Location: Formerly San Francisco, but he now lives in Gatorville Age: 26 Personal Appearance: Standing at 5'6", he is really far too small for any of the best clothes. His hips are too wide as well. He just doesn't know what to do with himself! Well, he has blue eyes, all the ladies find them very beautiful (yeah, sure: "ladies"), and his hair is black, but with just a little touch of pink in the fringe, just enough to bring out his natural highlights. A little stylish goatee and tanned skin makes him unbearably attractive. His costume is the bee's knees, darling. He wears a black spandex one-piece with sequins on the chest, and a low cut collar, just enough to expose his slightly-hairy chest. Overall, he's a skinny little boy who might just get blown over in the wind some day. Personality/Behaviour: Oh, he's as camp as they come, darling. He professes wildly that he's not gay, oh no, he's not like that. But he does love to make himself up, and he is obssessed with fashion. He was bullied a lot as a child, I'm not sure why... Personal History: Born in San Francisco to two mothers, Trelwaney Mavis Davis was obviously going to turn out the way he did. And there were no surprises when he started giving his lesbian mothers fashion advice when he was four. It wasn't until he was ten that his power first came to light. Literally. He sneezed and set fire to the lounge curtains. That one cost him. He finally moved away when he was eighteen, to go to fashion school, in Florida. But things took a turn for the worse when his driver took a wrong turn and ended up in Gatorville. Bummer. The only place for miles was the base of Hero Patrol. He knocked on the door, and they let him in (they need to step up their security a little). He never left. The driver sat there for three days, and finally got tired and drove off. Special Skills/Abilities (if any): Oh, he could have gotten into the Legionnaires with his power. But all that superhero stuff wasn't for him. He can create fire, hence the codename. But he doesn't like to. Messes up his hair. And his cuffs. And his entire ensemble. He's not so good at lifting, it gives him a migraine. And running, no way. Sweat does nothing for an outfit. But one thing he is definitely good at is fashion. He designed the costumes of all of Hero Patrol, although some weren't that well thought-out. Sunglasses aren't a good idea when you have the power of optic blasts. He can also dabble in interior decorating. He redecorated the entire of Hero Patrol's headquarters almost as soon as he moved in, starting of course with his own bedroom. (OOC: Just so you know, the sign-up, for maximum effect, should be read in the campest voice possible. Thank you.)

Writing Dusty DW And The Otaku Kid [PG-13]
Blayze replied to Dragon Warrior's topic in Creative Works
Another delicious slice of DW-styled comedy with a nice sprinkling of cowboy cliches and a nce warm helping of OB member cameos. Did the food analogy go a little far there? Who knows. But anyway, I thoroughly enjoyed that, especially the part between Marshall James J. James (genius) and Desperado Desbreko with Dagger Din Dutch being gay(?). Great use of wordplay ("did he just bark at us?") and random hilarious comedy makes this amazing. Just one question though: how does one get to play a cameo in this tale? Can't wait for more, pardner! -
Shadow's last encounter had left him slightly battered. That Nidoking sure was violent... He sat down on an old log, just for a minute, and suddenly he found himself falling backwards off the log and hitting the ground. He snored gently. He was exhausted... ------ "War...tortle!" said a croaky voice. Something snuffled round, nudging Shadow with the tip of it's beak. He smiled, and rolled over. It nudged him again. He groaned. "Not now, mommy...I want to stay home today..." he mumbled. The thing nudged him again, and he woke with a start. It was still dark, so he hadn't been asleep for long, but what had woken him? He looked around, and was suddenly face-to-face with an odd-looking thing, a turtle, standing on its hind legs, with pointy ears and a big curly tail. And it was purple. "Well, I've seen some odd-looking things in my time..." he suddenly noticed it was a turtle, "Wait...I've had a bad experience with turtles. It might even have been your daddy that attacked me. Big thing, huge water cannons coming out of its shell? Ring any bells?" The thing looked at him, apparently rather puzzled. "Wartortle?" it questioned. "Ummm. I don't know what that means. I guess it must be your name. Say, Wartortle, do you wanna come with me? It'll be fun!" The Wartortle seemed to recognise the word "fun," and immediately nodded its head. "Alright then," said Shadow, taking a Pokeball from his belt. He tapped Wartortle on the head with it. Congratulations. You have captured a..............Wartortle. Apparently his Pokedex took a little longer to search through its files after being smashed to pieces on the floor.

Talyn was on his way to the training room when he heard some sort of confused noises from somewhere else in the temple. It was hard to tell where, his vampire senses were so powerful now that he could smell for miles. But the thing he couldn't work out yet was the exact placement of the smell. He ran to the armoury, and grabbed a few things. He felt that it was almost time to fight... --------- Tegan walked purposefully down the hall, Jade standing in his way. Sin followed, crawling on the walls, Thayne with him. The Wakanda were facing a crisis. One of their own had turned on them, for reasons not entirely clear to all of them. Jade slammed Tegan's sword into the cement, smashing it but not leaving a scratch on the weapon. Tegan looked at her, and Talyn knew that he did not want to hurt her, but he would if he had to. Talyn ran to join the rest of the Wakanda, his chest covered by a heavy metal plate of body armour, two shrot swords strapped to his back. "Thayne? What the hell happened to you?" he asked, noticing Thayne's altered appearance. "Long story, not one for now," he replied breathlessly. Talyn nodded, understanding this. He looked down at Tegan and saw him an Jade talking. "What's going on? What's happening with Tegan?" asked Talyn. Thayne shrugged. Sin wasn't much better. "I think he wants to kill Kalei and Katima," said the hybrid. Talyn looked at him witheringly, and he shrugged in reply. Talyn looked from the Thayne and Sin to Tegan and Jade, and back again, looking back and forth. "I think there's something we can do," he said, "Now, I was looking through the books in the library. There is now a different sort of energy running through me. Once light energy flowed through my veins as I was Wakanda. Now that I am a vampire, blood energy runs through me. And I think I can use that. But this may look kinda creepy, so beware." He drew one of his swords, and placed the blade on the opposite wrist. He closed his eyes and concentrated on something. Then, with a single, swift motion, he drew the blade across his wrist. Blood flowed out, and Talyn dropped the sword to the floor. Now, with his other hand, he laid his palm flat out. Then a strange thing happened. The thick, crimson blood snaked across to his other hand, flowing like tendrils through the air. A sphere of blood formed above his hand, and Thayne began to look rather ill. Sin watched on in amazement. With a sudden flare of energy, Talyn opened his eyes. They were burning with crimson energy, and the sphere of blood suddenly changed into a sphere of blood-red energy. He grabbed the energy in his other hand, and hurled it down the corridor. It slammed into Tegan's back, and sent him flying into the wall. He dropped to the floor. "That was nifty," said Thayne, still looking a little off-colour. Tegan stood up, and looked at them. But he was different. Unlike the normally calm Tegan they knew, he was filling up with rage. Or, at least, he wasn't as calm as he usually was. "Stay out of this, Talyn!" he boomed, his voice rocking the temple, "This has nothing to do with you!" "It has everything to do with me!" replied Talyn, "It has everything to do with me if you are going to try and hurt my friends! If you are going to kill Kalei and Katima then I think it is my duty as their friend to stop you!" "I'm not going to kill them!" he replied, "I just want to ask Kalei a question!" "You have to swear to me that you won't hurt them, Tegan, because otherwise I will have to kill you right now, and I don't want that! Too many of my friends have died recently, and I don't want to be responsible for another one!" "You really think you could kill me if it came to that? You really think that you could end my life? You couldn't even end your own when you became a vampire!" "You told me that life was too precious to give up. That's why I didn't kill myself, that was why I risked myself, risked my own life to help you. Those vampires would have killed me if they had found out. And without me, Thayne and Jade would be dead! That was why I didn't kill myself!" "You didn't kill yourself because you are weak! Because you were too afraid to take your own life, and if you are too afraid to take your own life, how are you going to take the life of a friend?" "If you go through with this, Tegan, you are no friend of mine. No matter what we have been through, you do this and I cannot forgive you. If you hurt Katima or Kalei, I will hunt you to the ends of the earth and I will destroy you." "You don't have the power! The only reason you could stop me just then was because my back was turned. Not only are you weak, you are a coward." This was the final straw for Talyn. He picked up his sword from the ground, drew his second and ran down the corridor at Tegan, weapons flashing. But, as he reached Tegan, something stopped him, stopped him from bringing his weapon crashing down on Tegan's skull. Tegan was too powerful. He simply smashed his fist into Talyn's chest, and Talyn was sent flying down the corridor, blood spurting from his mouth. "Don't try again, Talyn," he said, and walked away. Thayne tried to run after him, but there was some kind of barrier in the way. Tegan didn't want any distractions... OOC: Hope this is ok for everyone.

I just want to say that I have edited the post where I caught Jolteon. I didn't realise that Sakura had caught it some time before me. Sorry, Sakura!

Shadow was walking along jauntily, whistling to himself. Dammit, it must have been that Blissey. Too much exposure to the energy of the egg was making him like this. Suddenly, something massive flew out from behind a tree and smashed him in the face, throwing him to the ground. He rubbed his nose. That hurt! He leapt to his feet and saw something huge, and lizard-like lumber out from behind the tree. It was a huge, purple lizard-like Pokemon, with a huge tail (that must have been what hit Shadow). "Nidoking!" it shouted, and ran towards Shadow, its single horn aimed at Shadow's chest. The hedgehog leapt over the charging beast, and slammed a Pokeball into its back. It was captured. Congratulations...y...y...y...you have c-capturedddd a Nnnnnnidok-k-king... His Pokedex was working still, if a little less clearly than before, but it was still working. At least now he still had some company in this.

Very simple, quick request for you Arty peoples. All I want is a new banner and avatar set, but they are both going to be simple and (I hope) effective. All I need is a set with a background of flames (you can choose the picture), with the word Blayze on the avatar, and the word Burn... on the banner. Thank you all in advance.

Shadow leapt at a tree, grabbing on with both hands and shimmying up the tree. He ended up on the very top of the tree. It was a wide-leafed palm tree, so he was alright for balance. He saw the Aerodactyl swooping away from him. "Come on then," he snarled, and leapt from tree-top to tree-top, following the beast. A couple of times it swooped and tried to take him out, but he managed to dodge the swoops successfully. He drew his gun, and fired a shot off in the general direction of the Aerodactyl. The beast fell, indicating the Shadow that he had scored a hit. He leapt down from the tree-tops and hit the ground with a large cloud of dust. The Aerodactyl was lying on the floor, writhing around, with a large, fist-sized hole in one of it's wings. Shadow jogged over to it and called out Blissey. She wandered over to the Aerodactyl and cooed gently in its ear. It calmed down, almost falling into a kind of trance. The blood around its wing clotted quickly, and the bleeding stopped. Shadow dropped a Pokeball on the head of the Aerodactyl, and it was captured. He called Blissey back into her Pokeball. There wasn't even the sound of the Pokedex any more to congratulate him on his new find, not since he had smashed the thing on the floor...

Shadow struggled as the vines wrapped themselves tighter and tighter around him. They began to squeeze all the air out of him, and he felt his ribs threatening to snap under the pressure. He managed to wriggle into such a position that his hand was free, so he reached down to his belt and pulled out his gun. He smacked the vines with it, fraying the plant material. He smacked it again and again, finally breaking through them. He flexed his arms and snapped the rest of the vines. He then jumped to his feet, and hurled his Pokeball at the Venusaur. The Venusaur, not being the most agile Pokemon, didn't have time to move out of the way before the Ball hit it. It was captured immediately. Congratulations. You have captured a Venusaur. "You have got to shut up!" he shouted at his Pokedex, slamming it down onto the ground. Pieces of plastic scattered around the ground. "Dear God I hope I don't have to pay for that!" he said, realising that what he had just done was quite stupid. Oh well, not much longer left of this challenge. "Aero...!" came a screeching cry from way above Shadow's head. He looked up to see some kind of pterodactyl swooping around him. He wished now that he had his Pokedex so he could see what it was. It suddenly swooped down, massive serrated jaws going for Shadow's throat. He ducked at the right moment, slamming to the floor. "Oh, now it's on!"

This challenge is exhausting. I've made at least three posts today, just to try and keep up with the Golden Lotuses. I was well behind them when I checked in on Boxing Day after a single-day absence, when they had added an extra two pages or something ridiculous to the challenge. I for one will be glad when this challenge is over. But we still have until Sunday!!! Aaaaaaa! My brain is melting!

The huge turtle...thing...towered above Shadow, almost twice his own height. He smiled weakly as the huge...thing...looked down at him menacingly. The two cannons turned to point at him. Now, water wouldn't kill him, but it would hurt. A lot. Something he wanted to avoid, ideally. So he ran around the...thing's...back and leapt onto it, grabbing on to one of the water cannons as they fired. A huge recoil shot through the cannon, almost shaking Shadow off. But he managed to keep hanging on. Just. He was hanging on by one hand, and managed to draw a Pokeball with the other, slamming it against the cannon. The...thing...was captured, and Shadow smiled for a moment, before realising that nothing was keeping him above ground any more. He hit the ground hard, a cloud of dust erupting around him. He lay back, clutching the Blastoise-Pokeball in his hand, and suddenly, a series of vines whipped up from the ground and lashed themselves around him. They began to crush the air out of him. "Venusaur..." croaked a low voice, and Shadow turned his head, breaking free of some of the vines, to see a great lizard with a massive flower on its back looking at him, vines stretching from its shoulders to wrap around Shadow. "Oh, you are so dead..." he exclaimed.

"Umbreon..." said a voice from behind Shadow. The sun had set a few minutes ago, and now night was upon them. He had been searching for the Umbreon, hoping to find it sometime soon. He whirled around at the sound of the voice, and saw nothing but a rustle in the bushes. He leapt into the bushes, effectively tackling whatever lay behind them. "Gotcha!" he shouted, wrestling with the writhing thing that he now had in his powerful grasp. It was odd, you wouldn't think that a little catlike Pokemon would feel so...human? "Get off me, ya freak," said a voice. Shadow got to his feet, and saw that he had, in fact, not tackled an Umbreon, but rather he had tackled Crash Bandicoot. "What the hell are you doing? Did you make the Umbreon noise?" said Shadow, getting ready for a fight. He would have rolled his sleeves up, if he had any. "Yeah," replied Crash with a shrug, "I thought it would be funny. I've never seen you so bloody obssessed with something like you are with these Pokemon, Shadow." "Well, maybe I've found something that I can concentrate on, rather than listening to your bloody whining all the time!" shouted Shadow in reply. He stormed past Crash, smacking him to the ground. "Bloody Bandicoot," he muttered, and then he tripped over something. He looked back and saw a little black cat. An Umbreon! "I'm a little bit lucky today," he said to himself, "I wonder if it's just me or whether these Pokemon can sense something." He got out a Pokeball and captured the Umbreon. It went without much resistance. "Yes!" he said, punching the air, "That's all the Eevee evolutions captured!" Congratulations. You have captured an Umbreon. "I know I have!" he walked off gleefully, a great smile covering his face. He walked straight into something huge and hard, much bigger than him. It didn't feel like wood, though, or fur, so it couldn't be a bear. It felt like a shell of some sort. "Blastoise..." boomed a loud, deep voice from above. Shadow looked up and saw a huge, turtle-lke thing with two massive water cannons protruding from its shell. "Ah..."

Shadow threw himself through bushes trying to grab the Espeon. Cuts lined his body, where he had leapt through thorn bushes. Blood was slowly trickling out of the wounds. The Espeon ran, slower than Shadow, but far more gracefully, and with much greater agility as well. Shadow was clumsy in comparison, crashing through the bushes as he followed the Espeon. "Come on," he said, more to himself than anyone else, "You can catch this thing." He drew three Pokeballs from his belt and hurled all three in a wide spread, just in front of the Espeon. One of them caught it's mark, and the Espeon was captured. Congratulations. You have captured an Espeon. Shadow picked up the rattling Pokeball and slotted it onto his belt, and then picked up the two empty ones as well, slotting them onto his belt as well. He wiped his arms clean of blood, and took a bottle of water from his bag and sloshed it all over himself. He was hot, sweaty, exhausted and injured. He couldn't wait for this challenge to be over. But now night was falling, and Umbreon called. He picked himself up, willing himself on with power that no man could challenge. He cracked the tendons in his neck, and whispered to himself: "Umbreon is mine..."

Me and my friends have a pretty good setup between us. I have my Ibanez Bass Guitar and a Marshall 10 Amp (although I should be getting something with a little more wattage soon enough). My mate Dan has a Les Paul with a Marshall 30 Amp, and a nice FX Pedal (I don't know what make it is), and my mate Ant has a Brian May Signature Guitar with a Vox amp (not sure of the wattage) and a multi-FX pedal, it has around 50 different effects on it I think. Anyway, I have only been playing for a year next month, but I have also played the sax for 6 years.

Shadow felt and electric tingle run through his body as he entered this particular cave. He knew that he was on the right track when he saw a tuft of soft orange fur hanging from a piece of rock that was jutting out. Excellent, he thought to himself, and crept through the passage. He stopped for a moment, and felt his hair. It had all stuck up more than before, and was tingling with electricity. The energy was massive here. He crept into a large underground cave, and saw something he couldn't believe. A single Raichu was lighting up the whole cavern with electric lights. It was sat on a rock opposite Shadow, with a metal helmet on. It was being drained of all it's electricity. He walked slowly up to the Raichu. It looked sick, pale and quite possibly near death. There was a plaque nailed to the wall next to it, which read: Please do not remove Raichu from the helmet. His electric energy is enough to power the lighting system in these caves free of charge, so you, the tourists, can spend more time in here. Thank you, Safari Zone Manager "Scumbag," growled Shadow, and he unhooked Raichu from the helmet. The lights went out, so Shadow had to grab the torch from his belt to light up the cavern. He released Blissey from her Pokeball again, and she waddled over to the injured Raichu, and hummed gently to it. It seemed to spring back to life, and Shadow called Blissey back into her Pokeball. He then tapped Raichu lightly with a new Ball and captured him. Congratulations. You have captured a Raichu. "Thanks for telling me. It's not a Jolteon but it will have to do," mumbled Shadow. He followed his torchlight out of the cave, and into the broad daylight. The change in lighting was a shock, but the sun was going down so it would be dark soon. "Oh, crap," said Shadow, "It's almost dark. The Espeon won't be out soon. I have to find one right now!" As if in reply to this statement, there was a soft mewing, and Shadow looked down to see a cat-like Pokemon rubbing itself against his leg. "Hello there," he said, a grin lighting up his face, "Espeon, if I'm not much mistaken!" He grabbed a Pokeball and dropped it down towards the Espeon, but no sooner had the Pokeball left his hand had the Espeon run away. "I'll get you, you little..." muttered Shadow, and he ran after the Espeon... ------

Shadow hurtled towards the lake at full pelt, leaping over any branches, plant roots, bushes and small animals he happened to run past. He got down to the lake within a matter seconds, and wasn't even out of breath. He looked around, and, realising that he wasn't going to find what he was looking for by standing around, decided to take a more hands-on approach. He leapt high into the air, flipped over and plummeted head-first into the deep water. He swam around, looking for a Vaporeon. Finally, he saw one. A dog-like Pokemon with the tail of a fish. Shimmering blue scales covered its body. It was a thing of beauty. Shadow whipped out a Pokeball and swam towards the Vaporeon, Pokeball outstretched. He moved quickly, so fast the Vaporeon barely had time to react. But it did. It dodged out of the way before Shadow could make contact. So he turned and tried again. This time he got lucky, and slammed the Pokeball into the Vaporeon. It was captured instantly, and Shadow finally surfaced, taking in great lungfuls of air. He dragged himself out onto the shore, and spat out a mouthful of water weeds. He slipped the Pokeball onto his belt and looked at his now slightly-damp Pokedex. Con...grA..tulATIons...yOu havvvvvv captureddddd a VVVAAPoreon... it buzzed. Shadow gave a sheepish grin and dried the thing out on a leaf. He looked north to a system of caves. He knew that the Jolteon lived within cave networks, so that was his next stop, although the sun was setting, so soon he wouldn't be able to capture an Espeon...

Shadow ran at full pelt up a mountain, expecting to find some sort of rock Pokemon somewhere. But he was mistaken. As soon as he reached the top of the mountain, he looked down and found a gaping pit full of boiling lava. A volcano. And what's more, an active one. He smiled and laughed slightly. Just what he needed. He looked on as another dog-like Pokemon emerged from the fire. It backflipped and landed on the other side of the crater to Shadow. "You're mine, Flareon," he said, recognising the Pokemon from his research using his Pokedex. He drew a Pokeball and hurled it at the Pokemon. It missed, tumbling down the side of the volcano. "Dammit!" shouted Shadow, running around the other side of the volcano and down the side to grab his Pokeball before he lost it. When he turned around, the little dog sat there, wagging it's tail expectantly. "You are so mine," he said, repeating his statement from a few moments ago. He hurled the Pokeball at it, and the dog jumped over the ball, letting it smack into the floor. Shadow rolled and grabbed the ball once again, turning round to face the Pokemon, who opened it's mouth, and a great gout of flame erupted from it. Shadow ducked out of the way, but the fireball still caught him on the arm. He hit the ground, clutching his hand, and as the little Pokemon padded up to him, he turned and smacked the Pokeball straight down on it's nose, capturing it. Congratulations. You have captured a Flareon. Shadow clutched his wounded hand, and his thoughts fell to all the Pokemon he had captured. Which one could help him? Of course! Blissey! He retrieved the Pokeball that contained the healing Pokemon, and opened it. The Blissey waddled up to him and sang something into his ear. He felt a cooling sensation running through his hand, and then he called Blissey back into the ball. He looked down the side of the volcano, and saw a crystal-blue lake, with various Pokemon swimming around in the water. He guessed that was where he could find the next Pokemon on his list. He ran down the side of the mountain, hoping that no-one had already caught a Vaporeon... ---------- OOC: Claim Vaporeon

Shadow skipped through the forest area of the Safari Zone, humming to himself. He was smiling broadly, and stopped along the way to sniff every flower and pet every small animal he could. He was enjoying life. He stopped suddenly. Why was he skipping? Why the humming? What was wrong with him? It must have been that egg the Blissey gave me. I'll check it out. Blissey, buzzed the Pokedex, Anyone who takes a bite of Blissey's egg becomes unfailingly caring and pleasant to everyone. Dammit. "Eevee..." said a small voice from behind him. He whirled around and saw a tiny little chihuahua-like Pokemon looking up at him with wide eyes. He took out his Pokedex and pointed it at the Pokemon. Eevee. It's genetic structure is irregular. It may mutate if exposed to radiation from Element Stones. Evolutions are Jolteon, Flareon, Vaporeon, Espeon and Umbreon. Shadow chucked a Pokeball at the little thing. It was absorbed, and he picked the ball up. "I have to catch those other five," he said, deciding there and then that it was his mission. ---------- OOC: Claim Flareon

Shadow looked at the large pink Pokemon now standing over him, with one "paw" in the white pouch that was on it's stomach. "Blissey..." it said in a soothing voice. It bent over Shadow, who was now sweating profusely. He groaned as the Pokemon lowered something large and round into his mouth. He forced himself to take a bite. Immediately a warm sensation rushed through his body, and he jumped to his feet. Then he regretted it as a rush of blood thundered into his brain and he felt extremely dizzy. Then he doubled over and threw up, ejecting the poison from his system. "Thank you," he said in a strained voice to the Blissey, placing a hand softly on her head. She purred softly. "Blissey..." "Do you mind if I take you with me?" asked Shadow, "We really need to win this challenge." The Blissey purred again and nodded, so Shadow took out a Pokeball and tapped it lightly against the Blissey's head. It was sucked into the Pokeball. Congratulations. You have captured a Blissey. "Yay!" said Shadow, and he skipped off into the woods. Wait a minute, that didn't sound right. Skipping? Shadow? There was something in that egg...

Warning: This RP will contain violence, sex, language and many other horrible things. If you have a weak stomach then please do not consider taking part. Walk down the right back alley in Sin City and you can find anything... ---------- She was dead. That was for sure. Her brains were splattered across the steps of the police station, her body was black and blue with bruises, her face wasn't even recognisable any more. Her blonde hair was crusted with dried blood, and a hole in the centre of her forehead told me this was done by a professional. I searched around the body, and found a red leather purse. I snapped it open, and took a look inside. There was a crumpled packet of smokes, a silver snub-nosed revolver, and a driver's lisence. God knows how she managed to gather enough money to learn to drive. It was her alright. Fiona Wilkinson, or "Filthy Fi" as she was more commonly known. She was a hooker from Old Town, a pretty well-known one too. She had been missing for the last few days, none of the girls knew where she had gone. Now she turns up on the police station steps, her brains blown out and her body beaten. The bruises looked old, too. She had been beaten a few days ago. I was gonna find the bastard that did this... ---------- ****. He was dead. A police officer found dead in Old Town, shot four times in the chest, twice in the head. He didn't want to go down. From the spread of the shots, it looked like this had been done by someone who wasn't into doing things efficiently. The shots were placed so that they caused the maximum of pain. Everyone knows the girls like to inflict pain. This could be real bad for us. If the police start patrolling round here again, the pimps are gonna come back. They didn't treat us right, and we weren't allowed to do **** to them in return. They got off free as a bird, and we got banged up for shooting the asshole. I can't let that happen to my girls again. ---------- I remember it as if it was yesterday. The truce between the girls of Old Town and the police still stood, clear as day. The police stay out of Old Town, and let the girls dish out their own brand of justice to any bastard stupid enough to walk into Old Town without money in their hand, as long as the police get free entertainment for their office parties. But then a hooker was been found murdered outside the police station, and a police officer was found murdered in Old Town. No-one knows what to believe, who killed who, but one thing is for sure: The truce had been shattered. Peace is nothing in Old Town now. The police are patrolling there everyday, arresting girls for the smallest thing, and letting the pimps back in. Now chaos rules Old Town, and that chaos, the anarchy, will soon spread across Sin City. Nothing will be the same. We've had riots, fights that have spread, but nothing like this. This will result in full-out war. The girls will not take the abuse from the pimps and other, more violent customers, so they have waged war against the police force, the government and the Mob. The police will do anything they can to protect themselves from the wrath of the hookers, and the Mob wishes only to have control of the city. So it is up to the few to find the reason for this war, the murderer of the hooker and the police officer, cause sure as hell its a set-up. ----------- Background for Sin City: Sin City is a city in the American Northwest. It's given name is Basin City, and it is located some 40 minutes outside of Seattle. It hardly ever rains, but when it does, it pours, and strangely, snow is more common than rain here. The cops in Basin City are cowards, most of 'em, or corrupt as they come. There's only a handful of cops in this town that are still honest, so good luck tryin' to run into them. During the gold rush, the Roark family, a powerful political family, brought a large number of women to keep the miners happy. These women ended up forming the quarter of town known as Old Town, where the streets are ruled by the prostitutes. The main locations of Basin City are as follows: Old Town-the red-light district, off-limits to police. This is where the prostitutes reside, and it has recently come under the control of one Wendy. Sacred Oaks-this is where the upper-class residents of Basin City live. The suburb lies outside the city, half an hour's drive uphill. There's also a university there, although I've never been there personally. Kadie's-a strip joint/bar, where the most popular girl is Nancy Callahan, and the regular clientele incldues Marv and Dwight McCarthy. Basin City Train Station-this has a direct link to Phoenix. The Projects-the run-down, poor side of Basin City, a tangle of high-rise apartments where crime runs rampant. The Farm-owned by the Roark family, this is located at North Cross and Lennox, and it used to be home to some crazy sociopath called Kevin, until Marv burnt down one of the buildings. Shortly after it was abandoned. The Pits-the tar pits, outside the city, where some dinosaur bones were found once. This is the place you go if you have something you don't want to be found. Notably, Dwight used the tar pits to dispose of the bodies of Jackie Boy and his pals. The main organizations in Basin City include the Mob, lead by a mysterious man named Wallenquist, the Roark family, whose power and bloodline is rapidly diminishing, the Old Town Girls, and the working stiffs of Basin city. --------- Welcome to Sin City. The biggest thing since Kill Adam, a project in which only the best of the best will be participating. Prove to me that your writing cuts it, and you will be in. But beware. This is not going to be a family-friendly RP, not by any means. Death, blood, gore, torture, and many other horrible things will be happening in this RP, so if you have a weak stomach for this kind of thing, then please don't sign up. But I will be cutting things down slightly. If you are torturing a character horribly, gruesomely, or if you are killing someone in a disgusting way, then please do not post the details. Instead, only post a suggestion of this action. The same goes for any sexual violence, as I despise that kind of thing, and I think I speak for everyone involved by saying that I don't want graphic descriptions of that kind of thing. This RP will work in a Chapter System, in which only some characters will take part. At the beginning of each chapter, I will post something like this: Chapter Name: Kill Kill Kill Characters: Character X and Character Y Setting: Location Z Brief Synopsis: Character X meets Character Y in Location Z, then start fighting, where Character X kills Character Y Of course, this is only a very rough outline, a lot of the chapters will have much more detailed synopses. This is so people know what is going to happen in the chapter, but they don't know how it will happen. That is up to the people writing in the chapter. As this is based on Sin City, it will not run in exact chronological order, but it will be more so than Kill Adam. For instance, we could see a character in later chapters that has been killed in a previous chapter. So, without further ado, here is the sign-up sheet: Name: we'll start off simply. You can also put a codename here if you don't wish to be known by a real name Age: this can be anything, with a lower boundary of 20, because I doubt that anyone below this age could really play a big role in the story Gender: you can even be transgendered or a hermaphrodite, the more bizarre the better Sexuality: as above, you can be homosexual, bisexual, or any other sexuality you can think of Occupation: what do you do in Basin City? Anything from a Mob enforcer to a hooker Organization: who do you work for, if anyone? The Mob? The Roark Family? The Old Town Girls? Physical Description: If you can find a picture, by all means use it, but bear in mind it should be in black and white Personality: vary this, please, I don't want a cast made up entirely of loners, or entirely of jokers. Please keep it different-the more different, the more likely I am to choose you to participate Character History: this is a brief history of your character, and by brief I do not mean a single paragraph of writing. I expect at least three full paragraphs, with details of major events in your life Weaponry: what weapons do you use? Think Sin City-revolvers are common, pistols, rifles and guns of all shapes and sizes are acceptable, even the odd katana or other bladed weapon will be fine Duty: what are you doing in Basin City currently? Are you trying to find out who started the street war? Are you trying to get revenge for something that has happened to you? In One Sentence: how would you describe yourself in a single sentence? I will post my sign-up soon. Places are reserved for Jokopoko, Citrus, Ezekiel, and Ikillion, without whom this RP would not have been possible. Thank you to all of you. If you have any questions, you can find the Underground thread here If you need some extra information on Sin City, the Wikipedia article on it can be found here Thank you for your interest, and sitting and reading through all the backstory. Please enjoy creating your characters.

"I think it would be best for all of us," replied Impulse, "If I asked Sparks about them. You would just take too long." Vernacular nodded, surprisingly calm after this last statement, and Impulse sidled up to Sparks, hering the familiar sound of her breathing, and stood next to her. He could feel that the Nemeans were talking to each other, he could hear them, discussing what was to be done with them. "Sparks," he whispered, assuming that the Nemeans did not have hearing as sensitive as his own, "We need to find somewhere private, somewhere the Nemeans will not hear us. We need to find a way to convert them to our own cause. But we can't let them hear us." "I think we can find a way. We need to get away from them somehow. But I don't know how, especially as we are essentially prisoners here. We may have followed the Nemeans here under our own free will, but they aren't going to take it kindly if we try to escape," replied Sparks. She walked up to the lions, and cleared her throat. "You interrupt us in our own home, mortal?" he boomed. Sparks didn't even flinch. Impulse was impressed with her courage. "We wish to know where we will be staying tonight. We have been travelling for a long time, and we wish to sleep before meeting your Master. We wouldn't dare to be too tired when we encounter him, in case we disrespect him," she said, clearly and confidently. "No-one would dare to disrespect our Master, no matter how tired they are. They would die before they disrespect him!" replied another lion. "But, there will be no point in them meeting him if they are so tired. They will not appreciate his majesty fully," said Maerkos. The other lions backed down at this point, and Maerkos said to Sparks: "We will show you to your accomodation. But you will have limited time before you meet Him. He does not like to be kept waiting." The lions began walking down a long, gilded corridor, with rooms going off to either side, huge, majestic rooms fit for a king, and, Impulse supposed, rightly so. The lions' master was more than a king, he was a demi-god. They were led to a room, one of the smaller of the many they had passed. Beds were set out, tables and chairs were placed around the room, with food and drink on them. "You will stay here. We will wake you when it is time," said Maerkos, before leaving the heroes to it. "We need to check for any listening devices, microphones, bugs," said Vernacular, "They could be listening in, eavesdropping, spying on us." "Do you really think that these people would use bugs to listen in on us?" asked Impulse dryly, "They are from a time long before our own. They wouldn't know anything about bugs. They must have different ways of spying on us." "Impulse is right," said Sparks, "We have to find anything else they could use to listen to us." The team began looking around the room, trying to find anything that could be used to listen in on them. Sparks found a long crack going right through the wall, and stuffed it with pillows, blocking it up completely. There wasn't much chance of the lions listening in on them now. "Right," said Sparks, "How are we going to convert the..." But she was silenced by Impulse. He moved to the door and opened it, blasting a pulse of telekinetic energy outside. A servant was thrown down the corridor. "Continue," he said, taking a seat. "Thank you. Ok, so we're in the enemy's palace, and they are taking us to meet their Master in the morning. We have a few hours to decide how we're going to convert the lions to our way of thinking," said Sparks. "I think I have an idea," said Sakura, her face lightening up.
