1. "They will come soon enough," said the dark figure, seated on his throne, "Soon enough..." * * * "I don't know what you're complaining about, Sanzo," said Hakkai as they rumbled along the highway in the jeep, "There are much worse ways to travel." "The jeep itself is fine," replied the priest gruffly, "It's the company I can't abide," he gestured towards Goku and Gojyo, who, as usual, were fighting in the back of the jeep. "Well, it would be a lot less fun without them, don't you think? Besides, Goku is probably the strongest of all of us." "Don't let him hear you say that," said Sanzo quickly. "Anyway, it was your idea to put them together in the back. You could have split them up." "And sit with either of them? No thanks." High above the jeep, four white dragons soared through the sky, each with a youkai rider. Lord Kougaiji, son of the great demon lord Gyumaoh, took the front, the wind blowing through his hair. On either side of him were Yaone and Dokugakuji. Bringing up the rear was his little sister, Lirin, who seemed to be having some problems with her dragon. "Keep up, Lirin," shouted Kougaiji, his voice carrying on the wind, "We don't have all day!" "This stupid thing won't follow my controls!" shouted the small girl shrilly, "I want my old one back!" "He flew away, remember. We can't get him back!" he shouted, "He gets all the luck," he whispered, not letting anyone else hear him. Suddenly, there was a chirping noise from his front pocket. He took his mobile phone out and flipped it open. It was Sanzo. "Yeah?" he answered. "We've got demonic interference down on the ground. Any help would be appreciated." The priest hung up. "Well, that was polite," said Kougaiji, before forcing his dragon down towards the ground. She swooped, and landed gracefully. Lirin had no such luck, and her dragon was careening around all over the place. Yaone and Dokugakuji came to Kougaiji's sides, and they looked at the Sanzo-ikkou a few metres away. They were surrounded by youkai, their teeth and claws bared. "Well, this is a bit of a pickle," said Hakkai calmly. "Whatever will we do?" replied Gojyo sarcastically, "Oh, yeah, I forgot." He drew his shakujou staff and whirled the blade around his head. Sanzo took up his revolver, and Goku's nyoibou appeared in his hand. Hakkai cupped his hands, and a sphere of bright light formed. He threw it at the demons. It exploded, blasting a group of them to oblivion. This began the battle. The youkai rushed the Sanzo-ikkou, who fought hard... (OOC: Ok, basically all I want you to do at the moment is fight off the youkai. Justice, you can take charge of Kougaiji's group. You can either stand and watch as the Sanzo-ikkou fight the youkai, or you can come and join in. Its up to you)
2. "Perhaps the young lady doesn't want to come out with you tonight, Patrick," Alex said, walking over to the first sign of trouble, "Maybe you're pushing a little hard." "This is a private conversation, Lance," replied Patrick scornfully, "No-one invited you to join it." "Alex, would you join this conversation?" asked Ashlyn, to which Alex replied with a nod and took a bar stool next to her, "You see, now someone has invited him to the conversation, Patrick." "Well, I still want to take you our for a drink sometime. Maybe it won't be tonight, but it will be sometime soon, I assure you that, Kelly." "Goodnight, Patrick," said Alex, smiling, "I think it's past your bedtime. You'll need to sleep off all that beer you've been drinking anyway. We're going to need you sober for the expedition tomorrow." "Shut up, Lance. I can handle my drink," Patrick said, stumbling over a chair. "Apparently you can't, Patrick. Come on, you're going back to your room," said Alex, standing up and pushing Patrick out of the door. He quickly turned, smiled to Ashlyn, and said: "Good night, Ashlyn. See you tomorrow." He ushered Patrick up the stairs of the B&B they were staying at, pushing him to his room. Patrick fumbled with the keys, so Alex took them from him and unlocked the door. He took Patrick inside and made him get into bed. "Now, you stay there and get a good night's sleep, okay?" he said, before oving out of the room, and locking the door behind him. Patrick wasn't going to get out tonight. What to do now. An early night, perhaps? Follow Patrick's lead, and go to bed early, get up nice and fresh for tomorrow. Or I could go down to the pub and talk to Ashlyn for a while. Tough one, Alex thought, before deciding quickly to go back to the pub. He walked in through the doors, and saw Ashlyn still sitting at the table. He took a seat next to her. "I can only apologise for Patrick. You know what he's like once he gets a bit lairy. He'll calm down in the morning." "I bloody hope so," said Ashlyn, "Or I might kill him. And that never looks good on a college report." "Yeah, you do face some slight problems with that. Don't worry, he'll be sober tomorrow, and actually he'll be more subdued than usual. Hangovers can do that to a person." They both laughed. "So what are you looking at there? Maps of the locations where the people disappeared? They seem to be mostly around the water. Maybe that's a connection." "I was just thinking the exact same thing. Something's funny with the water. I suggest that we go and check out the lake tomorrow, first thing." "Sounds like a plan to me..." (OOC: Hope that's okay, Astdis, PM me if its not)
3. Ok, people, hopefully this will be up in the Square in a couple of days. As for now, here is the character list: Genjyo Sanzo-Raiyuu Sha Gojyo-Che Cho Hakkai-Wraith Son Goku-Lionheart [as long as you finish your character snippet sometime soon] cheese master, I'm sorry, but your sign-up wasn't as good quality as I was hoping for. If you can send me a better-quality sign-up by PM ASAP, then I will reconsider Also, Raiyuu, yes, the characters will be wearing modern-day clothing as it is in a modern-day setting, but as for the rest of you, if you haven't given a picture of your character in modern-day dress, then don't worry, just work it in to the story somehow. Thank you all for signing up, anybody else who wishes to sign up is welcome to, to fill the places of Kougaiji and Yaone.
4. Name: Cho Hakkai (formerly Cho Gonou) Gender: Male Race: Human-turned-Youkai Appearance: Here Personality: Hakkai takes the role of peacemaker in the group. He is calm, very much a mediator between the conflicting personalities. He has become Sanzo's advisor (even if Sanzo doesn't listen to him most of the time), Gojyo's best friend and Goku's big brother. Character Snippet: Hakkai stood atop the cliff face, looking far out over the horizon, to the West. Their long and arduous journey would be taking them far away from anywhere he had ever known. India. A land of youkai, turned insane by the Minus Wave. He stroked his hand past the power limiters on his ear. He thanked God for them each and every time he faced the youkai in battle. "Penny for 'em?" said a friendly voice from behind him. He turned to see his old friend, Sha Gojyo, walking towards him. This was a rare instance when he wasn't carrying his blade. These definitely were troubled times. "I was just thinking about how different the world will be when we stop the resurrection of Gyumaoh. It will take a lot for the humans to ever trust the youkai again. We will essentially be outcasts." "You can't blame the humans for judging the youkai. We've seen first-hand what they've done. And as for being outcasts, we know all about that anyway. We've been on the outside looking in for years now," replied Gojyo, "But remember, Hakkai, now's not the time to be getting sentimental on me. We've got youkai to fight, and us standing aorund talking isn't going to be of much help when the next wave of them comes around." "I suppose you're right, Gojyo," said Hakkai, smiling, "I guess I should just take each day as it comes, and not worry about tomorrow." "That's the spirit, Hakkai," said Gojyo, "Although you being over here did give me an excuse to ditch the monkey for a while." "I heard that!" shouted Goku from the campsite, "You stupid pervy nympho Kappa!" "And here they go again," said Sanzo exasperatedly, his hand sliding down towards his fan. The third fight of the hour broke out between Goku and Gojyo, and Sanzo stepped in, hitting them both with his fan, shouting various obscenities at them. "Well, I guess boys will be boys," chuckled Hakkai... Weapons: None, unless you count the Youryoku power limiters that he wears on his ear as ear clips, which suppress his inner powers. Powers: Hakkai is a master of Chi Gong, an ancient Chinese martial art which uses the body's chi energy to focus the mind. However, Hakkai has taken this to the next level, by using his ability to form destructive chi blasts, or create barriers to protect him and his friends from harm. Thank you all for signing up. If you know of anyone else who might be interested in this RP, then please inform them and see if they would like to join. Also, and other Saiyuki fans on the Boards are welcome to join if they look at this.
5. Talyn hauled Jade's limp form onto his shoulders, and carried her down to the next level, where Alec was. And so, according to the smell, was Richard. There was some noise coming from down the corridor, so Talyn went to check, keeping to the walls quietly in case Richard had managed to overpower Alec. No such thing had happened. Talyn rounded the corner and saw Richard lying on the floor, unconscious, with Alec standing over him, slightly bruised. Apparently Richard had put up a fight. "Irritating little things, aren't they," he said to Talyn, wiping a smear of blood from his cheek with his little finger and licking it off with his tongue, "Mm. Rather tasty." "Now that we've caught them all, can we go and see Malik now?" asked Talyn impatiently, "We don't have time to stand around talking." "Very well. Come with me," said Alec, lifting Richard up onto his shoulders, "Are you ready to meet Master Malik, Talyn?" "I was born ready," he said... (OOC: Sorry, short post. Couldn't think of a lot else to write)
6. "Richard and Jade are still loose. They are dangerous, even when apart. Richard is mentally unstable, and Jade is physically stronger than most of the other Wakanda. We will need to split up to find them, as I would guess that they have split up. They both work better alone," said Talyn as they ran through the halls of the castle. "Fine. You know these Wakanda better than I," said Alec, gesturing to Noals that they needed to split up." Alec took one staircase up, while Noals took another down. Talyn followed Alec up one, then continued up the stairs to the next floor up. He stopped, and sniffed the air. "Jade..." he said to himself. He crept through the corridors, still sniffing the air every hundred yards or so, trying to follow Jade's scent. He had never known the thrill of the hunt in this way before. It was intoxicating. He followed her scent, rounding every corner he came to. Suddenly, something hit him in the face, and smashed into splinters. He looked down as he staggered backwards. A chair. She had hit him in the face with a chair. "How'd ya like that one, mate?" she said, standing over him, holding the splintered legs of the chair, looking ready to stake him. "You can try to stake me, Wakanda, but you will not manage it. You may be the most physically fit Wakanda, but I am faster, stronger, more agile than you will ever be. I could snap your neck before you could even think about staking me," said Talyn coldly. "Oh really?" she said, "Let's see about that!" She raised the chair leg, ready to plunge it into Talyn's chest. Talyn moved quickly, rushing behind her and grabbing her around the neck. "You see, Wakanda?" he whispered into her ear, "You see how you cannot win against the vampires?" "Do it, then," she said, stubborn as ever, "Break my neck. Finish me now." "Oh, I would, believe me, but Master Malik wants you alive. So I can only knock you out. Like this," he squeezed a nerve cluster at the base of Jade's neck, and she slumped in his arms. He lowered her to the floor, before lifting her again, her body slumped in his arms. Master Malik would be pleased...
7. Alex is a grad student from Cambridge, from Professor Arcaine's class, out to find out more about medieval history as well as to find the missing students.
8. Talyn wandered around the castle, his cry for Malik apparently doing no good. He looked around the dungeons, as he couldn't seem to find a staircase. There were dozens of huge, heavy wooden doors all the way down the corridor, all of them looking exactly the same. Talyn lifted his nose and sniffed the air, trying to use something to his advantage. His senses had become heightened after he had turned, and he smelt a familiar scent. He listened, and could hear every vibration that came out of one of the rooms. Voices rose, there was stamping, kicking noises, scraping of chairs. But the voices. The voices he recognised. He found the door, and pushed it. It didn't budge. He tried again. It still refused to move. He pushed all his weight against it, but it wouldn't open. He took a step back, and kicked it, throwing as much weight as he could behind the kick. The door flew open, a shower of dust going with it. Cells stood behind the door, heavy metal bars holding the prisoners in. Another vampire was stood looking into the cells. Talyn's night-vision was activated in the gloomy half-light, and he saw the people he had once called "friends." Jade, Thayne and Richard lay in the cells. Tegan and Katima must have been taken. "Who are you?" asked the vampire guarding them, straightening up. He seemed calm even with the surprise of seeing Talyn burst in. "I am Talyn," he growled, "And you are?" "I am Alec. You were once a Wakanda, am I correct?" "You are indeed. One of your vampires turned me a few nights ago. I no longer care for the Wakanda." "Talyn?" asked a weak voice from inside the cell, "Is that you?" He recognised the voice. It belonged to Jade. "Quiet!" he snapped, striding over to the cell and kicking the bar near to where Jade had wrapped her fingers round it. She quickly removed them. "Do not talk to me, Wakanda. You are weak, meaningless in the grand scale of things. The vampires shall crush the Wakanda!" said Talyn proudly. "Since when have you been a vampire?" she asked. "As I said, I was turned a few nights ago. Now quiet, Wakanda, or I shall be forced to remove your tongue." His face showed her that he was serious. "Now, take me to Malik," he said, turning to Alec...
9. Kraven watched the angel take flight and soar high into the sky. He watched him as he disappeared into the sky, until Kraven couldn't see him any more. He watched as David drove off, all his companions leaving him. He was alone once more. But he was used to that. He had been alone for two years previously, and it hadn't done him any harm. He began to walk back to the hotel, slipping down back alleys, trying to slip away from any demons, or angels, that could be following him back to the apartment. There probably weren't any, but you could never be certain. Rain began to fall from the sky slowly, drizzling at first, but then opening up until it was pouring. Kraven's clothes were soaked, his hair plastered to his face. He looked up into the sky, and smiled. He liked the rain. It could always cleanse him, no matter what he had been through. He looked down again, and saw someone he never wuld have expected to see. A young man, with short, cropped grey hair. But the last time Kraven had seen him, his hair was longer, and there were wings coming from his back. "Lucifer," he whispered, seeing the man for who he really was. "Correct as usual, Kraven. You always were able to see through the changes, to see the person underneath. You had to, really, with all the bodies you've been through." "What do you want?" snarled Kraven, reaching for his swords. "Oh, put your weapon away, you fool," said Lucifer, walking towards Kraven, "I am not real. This is your mind. That's right, Kraven, you are finally starting to lose control. You always knew this would happen, after the rooftop. Tell me, what did it feel like to have the flames of Hell itself coursing through your body, your mind, your soul?" "I felt powerful," said Kraven, "But I knew I could not keep that power. If I did, the entire world would have been in danger. I could not endanger the planet merely to defeat a few demons. That's why I let my body fall." "How very noble of you. Your friends saw you as a martyr, a hero to look up to, to respect, to fight for. But all along you knew you would simply come back. You knew that your sacrifice was not so important." "I did not ask Asariel and that Zodiac to fight in my name. They chose to do that of their own will." "You see? You still call him "that Zodiac." Do you not respect him enough to call him by his true name. His name was K, in case you don't remember. He watched you die on that rooftop, and he fought for you. He died for you. That's right," he said, seeing the shocked look on Kraven's face, "Soon after you "martyred" yourself, a demon jumped K in a back alley. He slashed right through K's spine, leaving him mortally wounded, in a state he remained in for three months. Before he was finally released from this life, do you know what his final thoughts were? They were of you, Kraven. He thought of how you had inspired him, and yet you were still alive, wandering around Australia. You are scum, Kraven, fit only to serve as the lowest being in Hell." "He died? K died? You're lying! He was too strong for that!" shouted Kraven. "You didn't seem to think that at the time. You thought he was a weak little Zodiac. You didn't care what happened to him." Kraven dropped to his knees, tears falling from his trembling jaw. Lucifer stepped up to him. "How does that feel, Kraven?" he whispered, before disappearing. Kraven stayed crouched, trembling. He slammed his fist into the ground, sending chunks of concrete high into the air. He howled, a terrifying noise that echoed around the city. His eyes were blood-red, his hair matted down to his forehead. Rage coursed through his blood. He jumped to his feet, and punched the wall of the alley. The bricks crumbled, leaving a hole in the wall. He punched again and again, destroying the side of the building. Something jumped on him from above. A demon, happened to stumble across him. He turned and punched it in the face, throwing it backwards into the opposite wall. It fell to the floor, and Kraven grabbed it, punching it, until blood stained his fingers. Even then he continued punching the demon, smashing the skull inwards, until there was no more rage left in his body. The demon was long dead, and Kraven stood and left the alley, wandering slowly back to the apartment... (OOC: Hope this is ok, Kamuro, I thought your character from last time was kind of a loose end, so I took care of it. If you didn't want that, PM me and I'll edit. Kraven can be back at the apartment whenever someone next posts)
10. Here is the Underground thread for my new RP. Please put any questions or comments here. Also, here is some extra information. Power Limiters: Small objects which can be used to hold in the power of many youkai. Goku and Hakkai both use these to great effect, Goku's being in the form of a headband given to him by the gods, Hakkai's being in the form of small ear clips. Youkai: In basic terms, the youkai are demons. They once lived alongside humans not just as neightbours, but as brothers. It was forbidden for youkai to mate with humans and vice versa, as was it it forbidden to mix youkai magic and human science. But when they were combined to try and revive Gyumaoh, a minus wave spread across Shangri-La, turning the youkai evil. This has now happened again, leaving the Sanzo-ikkou no choice but to fight their way through to find out what is happening. The Sutras: The Sutras are the founding scriptures of Heaven and Earth, governing all evolution on this planet. There are five of them each guarded by a high Buddhist priest with the title of Sanzo. Genjyo Sanzo holds the Maten Sutra, and is looking for his master's, the Seiten Sutra. Hakuryu: Hakkai's pet, a small dragon which spends most of his time on Hakkai's back. However, when the Sanzo-ikkou have need of it, Hakuryu can transform into a fully-functioning jeep, which the party use to get around quickly. That's it for the moment, if you have any question leave them here. Thank you.
11. To The West Shangri-La. A land of plenty, where the rivers never run dry, and the food never runs out. Since Genjyo Sanzo and his party defeated the demon lord Gyumaoh, the minus wave that had previously spread across Shangri-La dissipatd, and things returned to normal. The youkai returned to their former selves, and they lived in peace with the humans once more. Shangri-La developed, skyscrapers rose high into the air, cars and other motor vehicles became commonplace. Shangri-La became a modernised heaven for humans and youkai to live together in harmony. But once again, someone is trying to mix the blood of youkai and human, an act forbidden by the gods, spreading a minus wave once more, which has spread over Shangri-La, turning the youkai into ferocious beasts which kill humans relentlessly. Now, Shangri-La once more calls upon four heroes, this time with a little help from some others... * * * The figure, seated at the table in a fashionable coffee bar, placed the small porcelain cup down on the table as he felt a strange feeling jolt through his body. "Again?" he said quietly, twisting a cigarette into his mouth and lighting it, "I guess I'll have to find the others..." * * * "I can't believe how fast that kid can eat," said the waiter, watching the young man devour the entire contents of the "All You Can Eat" table. Suddenly, the young man stopped and doubled over, clutching his stomach. "No wonder he's got indigestion," said the waiter. "A-again...?" whispered the man, before grabbing his coat and leaving the restaurant at a run. "Hey, did he pay?" * * * The women giggled as they fell onto the bed. The tall, purple-haired man stood over them, taking off his shirt. "You redy for this, ladies?" he asked. Suddenly, the doors to the room burst open, and a slight, dark-haired man rushed in. "Please excuse me, ladies," he said, bowing to the women in the bed and smiling, "But my friend and I have some business to attend to." "Can't it wait?" asked the purple-haired man, "This is the first real tail I've gotten in weeks, man." "It's kind of urgent," replied the slight man, "Please just come with me. And put on a shirt." "Fine," he said, putting his shirt back on, "But you owe me big time for this, dude." The two men left the room. * * * "Sis!" shouted the man, throwing his coat on, "We gotta go!" "Why do we have to go now?" whined the young girl, following her brother reluctantly. "Because its time!" "I don't wanna go!" "We have to!" The young girl followed grudgingly as her brother left the building... In case you hadn't guessed, this is a Saiyuki RP. It takes place three years after Saiyuki: Reload Gunlock, and Gyumaoh has been defeated. However, another minus wave has spread across Shangri-La, calling the Sanzo-ikkou into action once more. This time, however, they are accompanied by Gyumaoh's son, Lord Kougaiji, their former enemy, and his little sister, Lirin. Here is the information I need from all of you. Available characters are described below. Name: Gender: Race: explained below Appearance: picture or description Personality: Character Snippet: use this to show off your writing style Weapons: Powers: Places available: Genjyo Sanzo: A high Buddhist priest ordered to travel to the source of the minus wave by the Three Gods, along with his companions that he has shared many adventures with. [Wraith] Lord Kougaiji: The son of the demon lord Gyumaoh, he was once the enemy of the Sanzo-ikkou, but when they defeated his father, he realised that it was more honourable for him to join them than to destroy them, and he wishes to regain his honour. She has since been in his debt, and has become a loyal member of Kougaiji's crew. Youkai. Dokugakuji: The final member of Kougaiji's team, Dokugakuji is like an older brother to Kougaiji. Taken in by Kou at a younger age, he has become a loyal member of Kougaiji's crew. He never forgets a promise, and no-one can make him break them. He is also Gojyo's half-brother, although unlike Gojyo he is pure Youkai. Youkai. [Delta] I will also be accepting three self-made characters if anyone wishes to. You can be either an evil Youkai, or you can be a part of the Sanzo-ikkou, but in which case you can either be a human or a youkai with a power-limiter. If you need some extra information on this series, and the characters, then here is a link to Saiyuki.com.
12. The plane touched down and the two damned beings got off the vehicle. Asariel was still moaning about how he could have flown here in half the time. Kraven seemed a little preoccupied as he left the airport, but Asariel didn't mention anything. "Reoan should be somewhere near," said Asariel, "Or at least Amber is. I can feel her energy pattern very close by. There's no way of knowing whether Reoan's with her, though." "Good. We'll follow the energy signature, and try and find her," said Kraven. "Rubedo's definitely there, wherever they are, and there's another. Their energy signature is huge, immense. It almost blocked out the signatures of the other two, its so big." "So we're looking at them facing someone powerful?" "Hugely powerful. It's strange. I recognise it," said Asariel. "Can you tell whose it is?" "I think it belongs to Adiol..." "Adiol! He's found Reoan?" "Yes." "This could be bad. We have to get there as soon as possible," said Kraven, starting out at a run to try and get to Reoan. Adiol was powerful, Kraven knew that. He had never faced anyone as powerful as that angel before. "Is that the best you can do, demon?" spat Adiol as Kraven staggered to his feet. "You will never get what you want from me, Adiol," replied Kraven, wiping blood from his mouth. His hair in this state was sandy brown, his eyes shocking blue. His face was round and friendly, although right now it was covered in bruises, and splattered with blood. "Oh, really. Well, I'll just have to keep trying then, won't I?" said the angel mockingly. Kraven had just got to his feet, and Adiol waved his hand, throwing Kraven back on an invisible wave of force, hurling him into the wall behind him. "Had enough yet, demon? Or can you stand just a little bit more?" The angel was now slamming Kraven repeatedly into the wall, clouds of plaster dust flying up into the air. "You...will never get...what you want from me..." said Kraven weakly. He then relinquished his own hold on life, just letting himself die. His body slumped, and his soul escaped, flying away from Adiol quickly, seeking out a new body... That had happened many years before, a long time before the war. Adiol had wanted information about the locations of the Dukes of Hell, and had stumbled across Kraven, a high-ranking demon. He had tortured this demon for days, trying to get the information out of him, until Kraven had let himself go. However, the last time Kraven had seen Adiol was not so long ago... "The body-hopper," said Adiol, "Last time we met, you couldn't even hold on to your own life. What maes you think you can face me now?" "My ideals have changed, Adiol. I am a different demon to the one you once knew," replied Kraven. His eyes were now deep green, his hair black and shoulder-length. "Ah, yes, your friendship with Reoan has blossomed. But what makes you think that she will welcome you again once you find her? She has changed, too, since your death. It came so soon after Jacob's, she couldn't handle it any more. She is now focused, all she wants is to kill me. She doesn't care about you." "I know what you are trying to do, Adiol. You are trying to make me forget about Reoan, trying to make me turn against her. It will not work. I am stronger than I once was, I will not kill her. She holds the Key to ending this war." "Very well. We shall meet again, demon," said Adiol, before disappearing... Kraven had known that Adiol was wrong before, when he was taunting him, but he could not be so sure now. Reoan had changed since he had been away. Two years of fighting can change people like that. But to say that she didn't care about him any more. That couldn't be true. Could it...? (OOC: Hope this is ok with everyone. Kamuro, I hope you don't mind me saying that Adiol and Kraven have met before, PM me if its a problem and I'll edit)
13. Hey, I came up with this idea a while ago, and I was wondering whether anybody would be interested in it if I posted it in the Inn. I thought I would check in here first before posting it straight into the Inn. Also, any feedback, positive or negative, would be welcome. I always like to know how to improve my work. Here goes: I?ve always felt that we were the ones going wrong. We sat in our Glacier, watching the three strands of the Timeline, the past, the present, and the future, watching as one became another, as the present ebbed away into the past, the future became the present and the past became ancient history. This has been the way of the Prophets, the Seers, for centuries. But over the last few years, something has been going wrong in the three bloodlines. Before, they wove together to make an intricate tapestry of family histories, and ancient power, but in recent years, they have been slipping away from each other, falling apart. The ancient power that has guarded this world from the evils of the next will soon disappear forever, and at that time, the world will be engulfed in darkness. So the Seers have seen, so it will be done. We may not like it, but it must happen. This world will be cleansed, and a new one shall take its place. * * * We have been seeing more and more incidents of dark creatures breaking through the borders. There have been over thirty incidents in the last month, with civilians being harmed and even killed by monsters that have been of ?indescribable terror.? The Seers must be right. The bloodlines are drifting apart, and the ancient power that once held the beasts of the Otherworld back is fading, allowing them through the barriers that once separated them from this world. Now the only thing that can stop them is us? * * * We have been there since the beginning. The start of the world was also the start of us. We are the oldest of the three bloodlines, and we understand them the most. We have seen them spring into life and twist their way around each other, forming a web of families, and a network of massive power. We are the oldest and most powerful race on the planet, and only we have the access to the full power of the network of bloodlines. But in recent months, the strength of the bloodlines has been fading, and with it our power has been waning, leaving us unable to leave our underground caves. We know now that we must restore the power of the bloodlines, or this world will be gone forever? * * * The world is different to what it was centuries ago. Let me start from the beginning. When men were created, so were a race of monsters, a race of beasts that could be called ?anti-men.? They were the opposite of man, holding none of the positive qualities that man possesses. As they were created, they fought man, a vast, long, bloody battle in which millions were killed. After four centuries of battle, the Gods stepped in, not wishing for man to destroy himself any longer. They set up a barrier between this world and the ?Otherworld,? the other dimension where the beasts were imprisoned for eternity, and this barrier was sustained by the power of three bloodlines. The first was that of the Elders. They were direct followers of the Gods, and they did their bidding. In return for their staunch loyalty, they were granted control over the power that the three bloodlines possessed. Only by using the Elders as a sort of conduit could the other two bloodlines use their power to keep the beasts back. The second of the bloodlines belonged to the Seers, the Prophets. They could see the future, the past and the present, and use this power to help the Elders plan for the future. They wield the power of the timestream, an infinite supply of power, but if it is released, it could endanger the entire universe. The final bloodline is that of the Kingdom. The Royal bloodline has always had a part in the power of the three. The Kings and Queens of the past had forged their alliance with the Seers and the Elders many years before the war began. They use their physical strength and their weapons to fight off their foes, instead of the Seers and Elders, who use mainly magical attacks. But, in recent years, the bloodlines have been fading, drifting away from each other. The bonds are at breaking point, and if the bloodlines are separated completely, then the barrier will crumble and the beasts will be allowed back into our world, the world they have longed to return to for many years. However, there are those who have been tainted by the Otherworld. They have felt its power and turned their lives to trying to free the creatures that dwell there. They know that the power of the three bloodlines is what keeps the barrier intact, so they are trying to destroy those of the three bloodlines. These humans are given special abilities by their connection to the Otherworld. Will you join the fight? Which side will you choose? Ok, so here?s the basic idea. This is a fantasy setting, similar to Lord of the Rings, or the Abhorsen books if you have ever read them (Sabriel, Lirael and Abhorsen). You can choose to be a part of any of the three bloodlines, or one of the enemies. However, if you choose to be an Elder, you will be trapped within a system of underground caves that you are unable to leave without the help of the other two bloodlines. The Elders and the Seers can use weapons, but they mostly rely on their magic, but those of the Royal bloodline (this doesn?t have to be kings, queens, princes etc, it can be nobles, like knights and so forth) will use their weapons and their physical strength to fight the oncoming tide of evil. So, is anybody interested? Positive and negative feedback are welcome, as I said earlier.
14. Talyn ran, fleeing the Daywalker as he ran towards the castle of his new Master. The sun was now set, the sky blood-red on the horizon. Talyn smiled, and saw his new home on top of a hill far above him. He sped up, running up the hill at a speed he had never known before. Finally he reached the massive iron gates of the castle. They were bolted and locked with a hefty-looking padlock. Talyn crouched, and leapt, sailing over the top of the gates, flipping in mid-air and landing perfectly on his feet. The abilities he now possessed were incredible. He had never known physical power like this. "What are you doin'?" asked a voice from behind Talyn. He turned around to see two vampires looking at him, presumably they had been on guard duty. "I need to see Malik," he said. "But you looks like one a' them Wakandas he was lookin' for. Talyn, tha's 'is name," said the second vampire. "I maybe Talyn, but I am no Wakanda. Look," he said, baring his fangs, "I am a vampire, like you. And what's more, I can lead you to the Wakanda. I know their secrets. I know how they work." "Yeah, yeah, save it for Master Malik," said the first vampire again, swinging and punching Talyn in the side of the head. He crumpled, falling unconscious immediately... When he awoke, he was in a small cell, massive iron bars all around him. The bars, however sturdy they may have been, were rusted, and they looked as though they could give way under the slightest impact. He stood up, ready to punch the bars, but fell back to the floor straight away. He was still too dazed from the punch to do anyhting properly. "Ooh, look, 'e's back with us," said a voice, the voice of the vampire who punched him. "Wha' shall we do with 'im, Jacob?" asked the second. "Well, I imagine Master Malik will be wan'in' to see 'im, in case what 'e's sayin' 'bout the Wakanda's true an' all. Bu' if 'e's lyin', I reckons we'll be able to finish 'im off ourselves." "Lovely," said the second vampire. Talyn sat calmly, meditating, calming the pain in his head, then got up, his eyes closed, and punched the bars of the cell. They smashed almost to dust as he made contact, and he took a step forward. "Bloody 'ell!" shouted Jacob, "'e's stronger'n 'e looks!" Talyn jumped and kicked Jacob in the face, throwing him against the wall, knocking him out. The second vampire cowered, and Talyn grabbed him by the collar, and hurled him bodily through the old wooden door, splinters flying into the air. He stepped out, over the body, and looked up and down the corridor. "Malik!" he shouted, hoping that someone would hear him... (OOC: Hope this is ok for everyone)
15. "So, tell me how you know that Lucifer is back," said Asariel, apparently very uncomfortable with sitting on a plane for several hours. "You really wanna hear that?" asked Kraven. "There's nothing else to do on this god-forsaken flight. You may as well tell me how he's returned." "Fine," said the demon reluctantly, "When my soul was created, it was forged from the very fire of Hell itself. Now, when a demon is created, the creator marks his soul with his own symbol. I was supposed to be the ultimate weapon against Heaven, so all the Dukes wanted to take credit for my creation. However, Lucifer truly created me, so he branded my soul with his own mark. But then, Beelzebub branded my soul with his own symbol secretly, so that Lucifer could never get full control over me. Beelzebub distrusted Lucifer, you see. He could never understand why he spent so much time in the mortal world. So he didn't want Lucifer turning on them. That's why he branded my soul with his own mark. When a demon is marked, he has a certain link, a bond with his creator. He can always sense when his creator is in the mortal world. Now, I have been able to sense Beelzebub's presence for some time now, but the feeling I got earlier indicated to me that Lucifer was back." "But you and Reoan cut off his wings." "Exactly. So he is mortal now. When my soul went back to Hell when I died on that rooftop, I saw the Dukes. Lucifer's soul no longer resides in Hell, and there is about to be a competition for command of the Dukes, and at the moment it looks likely that Beelzebub, or Satan is going to win the competition. They are stonger than the rest of the Dukes, or at least the others that are still alive." "So we now have Lucifer and Beelzebub on our hands." "Yes. But one thing we can be thankful for is that they are never likely to form an alliance. Each is deeply distrustful of the other." Kraven looked down at his feet. "There's something else, isn't there?" asked the Fallen Angel, "Something you're not telling me." "Perhaps. But that is for another time. For now, we need to get off this plane and find Reoan." (OOC: Hope this is ok for everyone, especially shadowofdeath and Angelus)

Some may call him headstrong, rushing into situations he knows little about, but he only ever does what is best for the people he cares about. He is very protective of his friends, and is known as the "Big Brother" of the group. Basic Bio: Alex was born and raised in England by a foster family. He never knew his real parents, and he apparently had an older brother somewhere in Wales. He was treated well by his foster family, and he had long ago accepted the fact that his real parents had abandoned him for whatever reason, and had grown comfortable with that. He grew up normally and moved to Cambridge for further education, where he grew very close to a new group of friends. He had always been interested in both classic European mythology and medieval history, taught by Professor Arcaine for both subjects. Weapons or skills: Alex is a very proficient fencer, and is in the fencing team at Cambridge. He is also talented in gymnastics, as he is rather slight. 17. Talyn lay, still strapped to the hospital bed until they could find a way of transporting him. He lay still, looking at the ceiling, staring into space. He thought of all the things he could have done as a Wakanda, all the things he would never get to do now that he was becoming a vampire. He hadn't even managed to master his power over sunlight. The fight in the airport was the last chance he would ever get to use his powers. The sunlight streaming in through the window had turned to a deep red light, and Talyn knew the sun was setting. He smiled, and remembered how Kalei had once shown him the beauty of a setting sun. They were sitting on top of a hill, not far from the Wakanda temple in England. The sun was setting, and Kalei pointed out the different colours that streaked the sky. Talyn watched the sunset, and tears almost dribbled from his eyes as he witnessed the sheer marvel of nature. He now realised that he would never be able to truly share this miracle again, not as he had once experienced it. He had seen that crimson light, and he had reached up and grasped the energy from the sun, and twisted it round, turning it into a buttefly made of pure light energy, which fluttered towards Kalei, then vanished. He saw her smile as the butterfly moved gracefully around her, then dissipated into its original colours. He saw the smile, and repayed it with another of his own. As he woke from this daydream, he felt his body twitching. Every nerve in his body was tingling, electrically. He groaned as the tingling gave way to sharp pain, like needles were being driven into every nerve in his body. His back arched up off the bed, his bonds threatening to snap under the pressure. His muscles increased in size, his teeth elongated again, fangs now almost protruding form his mouth. His eyes turned from a dark brown to a plae blue, almost the silvery colour of the moon. His back arched further off the bed, and his bonds snapped. He leapt to his feet, and saw poor little Ena waiting outside the door. He smiled, and walked towards her. "Talyn," she said, "You're not supposed to be getting up until we go. Wait, how did you break your bonds?" "I went through a little change," he said, before delivering a vicious backslap to Ena's face, throwing her into the air and against the wall, where she slumped down, unconscious. Talyn walked on. Doctors lined the hall. "You're not supposed to be out of bed yet, sir," the first one said. Talyn grabbed him around the neck, and crushed his windpipe, laughing as he did. He dropped the body, watched as all the other doctors ran, and looked down at his hands. "This strength," he said, "It's unbelievable. I've been missing out!" "Oh really?" said a voice from behind him. He turned. Priest and Fyoura stood behind him, obviously ready to fight. "Now, you have a predicament here, girls," said Talyn, "Do you face me down and try to capture me, or do you follow your leader's orders, and go to find her? Do you disobey your orders, or do you follow your instincts? What will you do, little Wakanda?" Fyoura and Priest looked at each other. Talyn smiled, seeing this as his chance to intervene, and he leapt at them, bouncing between walls, knocking them both to the floor. "I would kill you two girls," he said, "But I assume Master Malik has other plans for you, so I will let you live. For now." He burst through the doors of the hospital, and ran past Kalei and the others, all ready to get on the jet, leaving the Wakanda behind, trying to follow his new race... (OOC: I cleared this with DC, so its all good. Nobody stop Talyn. You can face him down, but don't take him back to Kalei)
18. Well, Minako, in answer to your first question, the Blue Team thread has not disappeared completely, but it has just gone from public view because it has not been updated for a long time. I was wondering where it had gone, too, but then I worked out that it had been over 30 days since anybody has posted, so it has gone from view. I've also been wondering where the next person to post in the Blue Team thread has gone. Does anybody have any ideas?
19. Thank you very much, SaiyanPrincessX, they are great. Sorry I didn't reply for a while, I just never think to check the Art Studio when I'm on. Thank you.
20. Name: No-one's exactly sure of my real name, not even me. To most I am known as Anarchy. Age: I believe I am somewhere in my mid-to-late twenties, although I could be wrong. Gender: Male Appearance: Here is a picture of me, although it is one of very few in circulation. Fighting Style: I am a thinker, mostly. My main weapons are, of course, my twin short swords, but my secondary weapon is most definitely my brain. I can analyse a situation in moments, and think of many different possible outcomes of the situation in minutes. It helps me to come up with tactics that will be effective against my opponents. Weapons: Twin short swords, nicknamed Cain and Abel after the Bible twins. Ace: A nifty little trick, this one. With a thought, I can increase my speed and agility to massive levels, allowing me to move in the blink of an eye, and like quicksilver, dodging my opponent's attacks with fluid movements. However, I can only maintain this level of speed and agility with a massive amount of concentration, and even then it can only last around ten minutes, maximum. Why You Are Here: I've been around. I've travelled a lot, and had a lot of different professions. But there has been one constant throughout all these jobs, and that is my mentality. I see myself as a cleanser, a purifier, and if that turns me into a psychopath, a serial killer in some people's eyes, then so be it. I was arrested when I let myself grow sloppy, and I was caught. I spent my years inside prison thinking about my own duty. I was chosen as a cleanser, a purifier, to destroy all human waste, all those unworthy to have lived life as they have. The Dead End Cup was the perfect place to carry out this divine duty. Personality: Well, off the field, I am a calm, calculating person. I think things through thoroughly before I carry them out, whether it is a trip to the bathroom, or the subtle murder of someone. I have been known as bloodthirsty, willing to torture any who cross my path, but this is an overstatement. I merely despise people who get in the way of my duty. Others describe me as a religious zealot, but I am only doing what I have been asked to do by the Almighty. However, on the field, when I smell the blood of my victim, I change. I can never remember what I do to my victims, but I know I am left covered in blood afterwards. According to those who have seen me, I enter a sort of berserker rage, and no matter how many injuries I sustain during the fight, I always end up killing my victim. Before their blood has been spilled, however, I am as calculating as I am off the field altogether, and I will always try to work out tactics before fighting.
21. The worst thing I've ever done involved slight public embarassment. My friend had done something to me (I forget what), and so as he was about to go on stage to play Wish You Were Here by Pink Floyd in a school concert, in front of around a hundred people, I completely messed up the tuning on his guitar. He went on stage, began to play, and a horrible, horrible-sounding chord came out instead of the nice melodious one he was trying to play. Maybe that wasn't as funny as some of the others, especially yours, Corey, that was a classic, but I enjoyed it.
22. Kraven walked along the footpath, slowly brewing his anger over what had happened in the park. Reoan had changed. There had been a time when she would have been happy to see him, but now this. And the girl, Kariz, she would have had a hard job killing Reoan anyway. Kraven had never managed it, and he had been trained by the best. Asariel slowly drifted down to stand beside Kraven, and matched his pace with ease. "It looks like we're in the doghouse," said Kraven, "I knew I shouldn't have rushed in there like that." "I can't believe I allowed myself to rush into a battle foolishly, without thinking," said Asariel. "We all made mistakes back there, don't be too hard on yourself. But for now I think we'd better try and find Amber and David. We don't want to get Reoan angry again, do we?" the demon said, trying to pick up Amber's energy signature. Suddenly, a blast of pain shot through Kraven's head, making him drop to the floor, holding his head. He shouted in pain, the noise echoing across a huge space. "What is it?" asked Asariel when Kravne had stopped shouting. The pain was gone now, "Is it Amber?" "No," said Kraven, "There's only one thing that can do that to a demon." He got to his feet. "And that would be...?" "My creator has returned." "What do you mean? Who's you creator?" "The Duke who created my soul. He's on Earth, and he's looking for me. He wants to kill me." "Which Duke is it?" "Well, technically there are two. One is Beelzebub, but we already knew he was back on Earth. The other one...no, it's impossible. It can't be him." "Who is it?" "Lucifer..."
23. "There are only five of you," the voice said. Talyn turned and saw a face he recognised instantly, one that he hadn't seen for a long time. His face lifted as he saw her. "Kalei!" he said, jumping to his feet and striding across the room, embracing her warmly. "Its good to see you again, Talyn," she said. She eyed the bandage on his neck nervously, but refrained from asking any awkward questions until later. She looked around and saw the rest of the team. "Where is everyone else? Thayne, Richard, where are they? Have Tegan and Katima been taken too? What's happened?" she asked. "We were coming to find you on Tegan's advice. We touched down in Madrid, and then we got jumped by vampires. We were taken by surprise. I think Katima at least managed to take a few of them down, but we were overpowered by them. They knocked us all unconscious, and when we woke up, we were here. The others were gone, presumably taken by Malik," he said. Then he led Kalei over into a corner. "Kalei, we're not so sure we can trust Tegan. It's possible that he set this all up. He appeared out of nowhere, told us to come to Madrid to find you, and when we did, the vampires attacked us. Then, when we were fighting that vampires, Tegan wasn't killing any of them. He had the opportunity many times, but he only severed limbs. Some of us are doubting his motives." "Talyn," she said, "Look at me. Look into my eyes, and tell me again that Tegan is a traitor. Tell me that our friend is with the vampires. You can't, can you? Tegan is not a traitor, Talyn, any more than you or I am." Talyn nodded, and Kalei turned to address the others. She began speaking, Talyn knew that, but he couldn't hear a word she was saying. Then his vision became slightly blurred, and he felt himself sinking slowly to the floor. He began spasming, as he had done on the helicopter, his body wracked with violent convulsions. Foam began to gather at the corner of his mouth. By this time, Kalei and a couple more of the Wakanda had rushed over to him, as well as three doctors. "Talyn!" Kalei shouted, "What's happening to him?" Ena looked at her nervously. "I don't know, but this happened on the helicopter on the way over here as well!" "He's only got a few hours left," said a calm voice. Kalei turned around, and saw Sin leaning on the wall. "What do you mean he's only got a few hours left?" she asked. "Well, pretty much everyone else knows, so you might as well. Talyn got bitten, a while ago, when we were attacked by vampires in the airport when we were travelling to England. He's been going through the changes. He has the night-vision, the fangs are beginning to grow, his strength and speed should be increasing. He's only got a few hours left until he changes completely," said Sin. "Talyn's been bitten?" said Ena and Priest almost simultaneously. Fyoura looked at her feet, and Sin walked away. Kalei turned back to Talyn. The doctors had injected something into him, which had calmed the spasms slightly, but he was still shaking, his eyes rolled back in their sockets. "Talyn?" Kalei asked, lowering her head so it was in line with Talyn's, "Can you hear me?" Suddenly, his arm shot out, grabbing Kalei by the neck, his fingers tightening, his eyes still blank. He looked around at the other Wakanda, and snarled. Sin had darted forward, and applied pressure to a nerve in Talyn's hand, forcing him to release his hold on Kalei. "What's happening?" she asked Sin. "He's going through the first stages of change. His fangs should be fully grown by now, his night-vision developed fully. His muscles are growing, and as the brain needs all its energy to send hormones to the muscles, a lot of its other functions close down. It makes the individual seem more animalistic, more bestial. It should pass in a few minutes, but you may want to tie him down first. Things are going to get messy." "Can you get him to a bed so we can tie him down, Sin? You're the strongest of all of us physically," Kalei said. Sin nodded, and leapt on Talyn, using his knowledge of his strength to good use. He grabbed Talyn and slammed him down onto his back on the bed. The other grabbed whatever they could to tie him down, belts, rope, anything they found lying around. Talyn began to go through more spasms, so violent they shook the bed around, threatening to pop the screws out of their holes. He howled and screamed, and after a few minutes, he stopped. He lay there, something strangely calm coming over him. His eyes rolled back to normal, and he blinked a few times. "What happened? Why am I strapped to the bed?" he asked groggily. "We'd better keep him there until he has changed fully," said Sin. "I'm changing?" he asked, "But I asked someone to kill me when that started. Why are you saying that I should stay here until I am fully changed?" "Tegan," said Sin, holding up a note that Tegan had slipped Talyn before they had been jumped. It must have fallen out of Talyn's pocket as he was changing. Sin began to read: "Talyn... If it comes down to you turning to the darkness...I say this with all my heart. I will not allow anyone to kill you simply because you are a vampire...It all comes down to a simlpe choice really...you either get busy living...or you get busy dying. Already assuming that you will fall under Malik's control is foolish...for you still have a will...even if you have turned...trust me...I will not let you be killed...one way...or the other. Tegan." Talyn heard this, and tears began to stream down his face. Kalei walked over to him. "I'm sorry this ever happened to you, Talyn. I'm sorry that you, my friend, have been turned. But I will stand by what Tegan says. I will not allow you to be killed by anyone simply because you are a vampire. Do you understand?" Talyn nodded, and whispered to her: "I'm sorry I ever doubted Tegan, even for a second. I know now he only let the vampires live because he knew they could live. That they had feelings, that they weren't just emotionless monsters. I'm so sorry, Kalei..."
24. Well, Kanata and Lan, you both make very good points about the customisation possibilities for the X-Men RP. I aim to make it possible to customise characters to some extent, for instance, you take an existing character, take his or her powers, and their original backstory, but as this will be taking place some ten years after the Mutant War began, you can make up a biography from that point onwards. You can even change their personality and appearance to some degree. As for the first idea, I am looking into the possibility of using other element groups, as I think I need to escape from the box that the usual four elements provides. I am also working on fleshing out the storylines of both RPs a little more, and at least one of them should be up in the Inn fairly soon. Thank you all for your input, but I would still like some ideas and contribution from other RPers, as this would really help the creation of these RPs along.
25. James paled as he reached his hand into his pocket. Mieruru was looking at him expectantly, and he was white with fear, making everyone else at the table look at him nervously. "To explain to you why I have been disappearing a lot recently," said James, his voice stammering slightly, "The Master has sent me on a little treasure hunt. I had to find five items around the house, and the Master gave me a weapon with which to find them. He gave me this knife." James threw the knife down upon the table defiantly. "And the five items were?" asked the Master, a devilish grin appearing on his face, "Please place them on the table in front of Mieruru, telling us what each one is as you go." James took the first item from his pocket. "First item," he said, laying the plastic bag down in front of Mieruru, "The tongue of a beast. This is from a pig I found in the kitchen." He took the next two items from his pocket. "The second and third items I got from the same person. Number two: the heart of a faggot, and number three: the hand of a masturbator. Both of these came from a kitchen servant I happened to come across." The next bloody plastic bag came from his pocket. "Next item came from Kaine Maxwell-Kingsley, and I took them, slowly, before I killed him. Item number four: the manlyhood of a rapist." The final bag remained hidden under the table. "And the final item?" asked the Master excitedly. "The final item was the worst of all of them. Taken from a practically innocent girl I found with Kaine. Item number five," he produced the bag, inside which was a completely unrecognisable, bloody item, "The unborn child of an adulterous mother." He threw the bag down on the table. "I hope you're happy," said James, "I've participated in your sick little game. Now tell me what I have to do next." "Funny. You seem disgusted. But I saw the video footage. There were cameras inside Kaine's bathroom, inside all of your bathrooms. I saw you kill him. You were laughing as he screamed for mercy like a little girl. You cut his manlyhood away, and as he lay there bleeding, you sat and you watched him. You took pleasure as his life ebbed away in great suffering. You can't look me in the eye, James Gregson, and say that when you took his life, you didn't enjoy it just one little bit." "You are sick." "Look me in the eye, James, and tell me you did not enjoy killing Kaine Maxwell-Kingsley." James turned to Jacqueline and Allegra. "Please," he pleaded, "Don't think less of me because of this. I was only doing it because otherwise he would kill me. I had to bring him his items in fourty-eight hours, and my life would be spared. Please, I was only doing what any of you would do." Allegra was the first to stand up. "I faced my fear to complete my card. You had to do horrendous things, I understand that. But I cannot forget the fact that you have killed three people in the last two days. Please, James, don't talk to me any more." "Jacqueline," he said, turning to her, "You have to see what I have gone through. Please, don't you leave me as well!" "I-I'm not sure I can look at you right now, James. I understand that you were doing it to save your own life, but to kill three people. That is something I cannot condone. I'm sorry..." "No!" he shouted, turning to the Master, "You see what your sick, twisted little games have done! You've destroyed me!" He slumped into his chair, his eyes glazed over, his face blank. The Master got to his feet, and begant to speak... (OOC: Sorry about my last post, Kairi, I didn't mean to try and take control. Do whatever you have to now, you sick, twisted individual...)
