1. Kane practiced his sword work with Kala, mock-fighting her to hone both of their skills. But he was distracted. He never thought his friend and mentor would be in love with a half-demon, a fallen angel. Especially not one of his temperament. Kala knocked him down and mock-stabbed him through the chest. Jack laughed slightly from his seat on the small hill. "What are you laughing at, Jack?" shouted Kane, getting a little annoyed with the warrior by now. "You. You believe that you are strong enough to take down the Destroyer, and yet you can't even beat a girl in mock combat. You will never be strong enough to win this fight." "Oh, and you are?" "I never said that. I just don't have so much belief as you in my own strength. I do not cloud my vision with thoughts of winning. I clear my mind, to focus my energies." "Why don't you come over here and try that?" challenged Kane. Jack got up, and moved over to where Kane and Kala were practicing, and drew his weapon. "Ok, here's the challenge. You must be blindfolded, and I will come at you from somewhere with a weapon. You have to block the weapon." "That is completely illogical in a combat situation. I would not need to block an attack. My armour can shield me from any blow." "Yes, but you can't rely on your armour all the time. What if the Destroyer has a weapon which can penetrate it? Then you will have to rely on your skill in blocking to protect yourself." "Very well. I will participate in this ludicrous challenge of yours." He took a scrap of material from Kane and tied it around his eyes. Then he took up his weapon. Kane drew his own weapon, and hid in the bushes, then came running up behind Jack, making as little noise as possible, and swung his sword. Jack almost blocked, but didn't quite strike Kane's sword away. Kane's weapon struck Jack's armoured shoulder, clanging off the metal. "So, the mighty warrior has a weakness," said Kane, "I guess we need to practice!"
2. Glad to be back. I see that my throne is under threat, but what are you gonna do? Name: Zuriel Nickname: Nightbringer Age: 680 Gender: Male Species: Vampire Clan: Myrkur Aniol Appearance: Zuriel is around 6'3", with black hair streaked with red, which was once spiked up but has now fallen down over his face, his eyes are orange with yellow centres, his chest is now covered by a blood-red armour plate. Weapons: The Harbinger-The first of the Night-Blades, given to Zuriel by Kuroichi. since he has received it, he has put his blood on it, making it change to the form he wishes. It is now a 5 foot long katana with a spiked hilt, and it burns anyone who touches it, even Zuriel, so he wears a gauntlet made of a new type of metal forged by the Myrkur Aniol, which protects him from it's power. Powers: Telekinesis, fire-casting abilities The Skull Sapphire-Given to him by Zoku, Zuriel has only used this gem once, and that was only due to unseen circumstances. With it, he can summon an army of skeletons to do his bidding, or use it to strip the flesh off the bones of other vampires, leaving them as a living skeleton, forced to do Zuriel's bidding. Personality: Over the last few months since Australia, Zuriel has become a devoted follower of Abaddon's beliefs. He refuses to drink the blood of humans, instead only drinking that of other vampires. He tries to go out of his way to protect humans who may get injured in any battles he fights. He will not kill an unarmed enemy for no reason. Also, he has become increasingly paranoid about his own power. He dislikes using the Harbinger in battle, and even though he has full control over it, he still fears the power of the Skull Sapphire. Bio: A young man by the name of Jacob was brought up by his uncle and aunt in the Middle East, and they despised the child. He was routinely abused and tortured at the hands of his unkind relatives. When he was ten, he stowed away on a boat from his hometown and travelled illegally to China. He lived on the streets here, making jewellery to scrape a living. He was found at the age of 12 by a wise young man who took him in. He was trained by this man to join the Chinese army, in preparation for his future. He was taught how to fight, both unarmed and armed, and he became extremely proficient in both forms of combat. Then, when he was 19, he joined the army as a footsoldier. But one night, when he was making his way across the battlefield, a dead soldier from the opposing army rose to his feet and bit Jacob on the neck. He passed out from loss of blood, and when he awoke in the medical tent, he attacked the other men in there with him, killing them all. He ran from his fate, which was to be executed by the General, into the woods, where he lived as a feral beast for many years, feeding off the blood of small woodland animals. Within three years, he was found by a member of the Myrkur Aniol Clan, who took him to the rest of the Clan. He was deemed fit to enter their ranks, and gradually recovered from his feral state. He has since proved himself one of their most worthy warriors, and has moved all the way from being a feral creature to being a well-spoken, wise-cracking member of the Clan. He took his name when he had been a Vampire for 9 years, from a more senior Vampire who had fallen in battle protecting him. He has seen many of the tortures of the world, and this has given him a strong bloodlust and poweful hunter's instincts. The first thing he did when he was a fully-seasoned Vampire warrior was go back to the Middle East and torture his aunt and uncle mercilessly, before killing them and leaving their bodies for the hounds to feast on. He has since visited the man who took him in in China and turned him, allowing him eternal life in return for everything he had ever done. As he travelled to Australia, the puppet leader of the Myrkur Aniol died, leaving Zuriel the throne. The Seraphic legions of the clan opposed this, and Zuriel clashed with Abaddon, the greatest warrior the clan had ever seen. He won, and took the true crown. He has clashed with Zoku, becoming allies with him, and Kuroichi, who gifted him with the Harbinger, first of the mighty Night-Blades. He now holds the Skull Sapphire and the Harbinger, making him a formidable opponent. (OOC: Sorry if the bio's a bit long, ULX, but I had to get everything in!)
3. One day after the Destroyer's attack... The group of them were now in America, at the same diner that Sam had met Jun, Zack and Isabelle. The glass in the window had long since been fixed from when Zack was thrown through it. Sam laughed slightly when she remembered how they had all met. The water glimmered in the distance. Kane liked this place. It felt peaceful, and it calmed his emotions towards the Destroyer. They finished their coffee quickly, and left the diner. They would find more elementals here, Sam felt sure of it. The sun shone brightly in the sky, and it made them feel a lot better about what had happened, although no amount of good weather could erase the memory of it. They walked through the town, and sat by the sea, calming themselves. A flash of light lit up the horizon as the sun set. It was bright yellow, and it contrasted against the deep red of the sunset. A winged figure swooped over the water, and Sam's face lit up for a moment, as she thought it was Jun, but then she saw that the wings were golden and not black like Jun's. The figure landed next to them. He was wearing golden armour with a rising sun symbol on the breastplate, and had golden wings and spiky golden hair. He landed, folded his wings so they were not as noticable, and saluted. "I bring you greetings from the Destroyer," he said. Kane got to his feet. "What does that scum want with us?" he spat. "He wshes to commend you on your efforts yesterday. He feels you will prove to be worthy opponents." "And who are you?" asked Sam. "How rude of me. I am Dawn. I am one of the Destroyer's heralds. The second shall take my place shortly, but I come to invite you to the hall of the Destroyer. He wishes to look his enemies in the eyes." "We decline his invitation. You won't get me anywhere near that thing unless I have a weapon in my hand," said Kane. "That is what he anticipated you would say. Perhaps the second herald shall porve more persuasive than I." He turned to the water, and as the sun set, he changed. His appearance remained much the same, but his armour turned black, as did his hair and wings. His armour now had a crescent moon and stars on it. "Greetings. I must apologise for my brother's forthrightness. He tends to be like that as the sun sets." "Herald?" said Sam. "I was once the being you knew as the Herald, and I did meet you once, Samantha Ming, as you were about to face Kelthor in his own dimension, but I am now known as Dusk, brother of Dawn and second herald of the Destroyer. I would like to invite you to my master's hall. I will wait until you make your decision. Bear in mind, the Destroyer will respect you much more if you meet with him, and he is less likely to kill those he respects." "But he will still destroy us all. That is his purpose, and so it is what he must do. Is that not right, Dusk?" asked Sam. "That is correct, but he will take mercy on those he respects. It is entirely your choice." (OOC: I'm leaving the decision of what we do to you, ...:Meet the Destroyer face-to-face or wait here for Jun to reappear)
4. Lee got to his feet, and drew his handgun. He ran into the vampires, shooting them left, right and centre. He swung his sword at regular intervals as well, killing himself a lot of vampires. He saw the little girl in the distance, sitting atop a rock, laughing. Lee fought his way through the vampires, shooting them and slashing with alternate hands. He filled with rage, and as a dozen vampires piled on top of him, he threw them all away with his telekinesis. His eyes were turning completely white as he approached the little girl. "You sneaky little bitch," he scowled, "You killed all those children. How can I let you live now?" "Maybe if you can't tell where I am, Lee," she said sweetly. She disappeared. "Where the hell did you go? Come back here, bitch!" he shouted. What felt like a tiny fist slammed into his gut, throwing him backwards. Another similar blow struck him around the face. "How are you doing this?" he shouted. "I can create illusions. The others in the group have too much willpower to be swayed by these, but you, as you have just had your dampener chip removed, were more prone to my psionic attack. You were easy prey." "Oh really?" he asked sarcastically, "Well, this easy prey has been listening to exactly where your voice is coming from, you stupid little bitch, and he knows exactly where you are." He fired a shot into thin air, and blood spurted out. The little girl came back into view, clutching her stomach. "You're mean," she said, reverting to the guise of a small child. "Yeah, well at least I'm not filth," said Lee, ramming his sword through the girl's chest. She turned to dust, and the other vampires disappeared, the weapons of his team-mates falling to the ground. "I guess that's all our objectives completed! Looks like we're going home!" said Lee. The others in the group cheered. (OOC: Hope I didn't end the fight too soon. PM me if I did)
5. Storm and Keisha fell into the demon world. Fire raged around them, and they were surrounded by demons. They were muscled, clawed, winged beasts, with weapons clutched in their talons. They took little notice of Storm and Keisha, who decided it would be best to make themselves scarce. They ran and hid in the shadows. "What the hell has been going on with you lately, Keisha?" asked Storm. "Is this really the time?" "Yes it is. I need to know what's bothering you so we can sort it out." "You really want to know?" "Yes. Tell me." "The other night, I, well, I slept with Alexander." "Who?" "That demon we fought. He put some sort of curse on me, and when I went to him so he could take it off, he seduced me, and, well, you can figure the rest out." "Oh my God, Keisha. You've just violated the code of the dimensions!" "The what?" she asked. "The code of the dimensions. A set of rules which govern our actions in our own dimensions, and indicate whether we are taken to Heaven or Hell when we die! No two beings from different dimensions are supposed to be intimate. You realise how much trouble you are going to get in?" "With who? Who's going to get me into trouble?" "The one remaining Guardian! He's very tetchy about this sort of thing! you are going to have to stand trial, and he's not a particularly fair judge when it comes to this kind of thing!" "How am I going to stand trial?" "He reads your mind, and finds out from that what the circumstances were. You might have a chance as you were under some sort of influence, but its not a very strong case!" "Oh, my God!" she said, "That's terrible! What have I done?" "Well, we have bigger things to worry about at the moment." "Like what?" "Like the demons who have just seen us." Keisha looked up, and saw hundreds of demons coming towards them, wielding bladed weapons of every sort imaginable. "Looks like we have a fight on our hands," said Storm, drawing his swords. Keisha wiped away her tears and drew her blades. They stood, and charged at the oncoming demon horde...
6. They were in the town now. People were bustling everywhere. It was a small but busy town. People were simply going about their business happily. The small group of travellers entered the town and were given a warm welcome by the locals. They were friendly people, wishing to make their stay as comfortable as possible, even though Sam insisted they were only passing through. They sat in a small cafe, drinking coffee quietly. Jack sat a few tables away from them, sipping his coffee privately. The waitress, a young girl, no more than nineteen, came over to them and insisted on pouring them more coffee, or giving them some form of baked dessert. They politely declined. They began to talk about where they planned to go next. "Well, I think we've found everyone we are going to find in Scotland. I think we need to get back to America somehow. We are likely to find some people in the original town where we all met up. I don't think there are too many more people to find. I do need to find a dear old friend though..." she trailed off, looking wistfully at the sky. It began to darken. A huge black cloud descended on the town, covering it in darkness. A dark-cloaked figure was flying in front of the cloud bank, his cloak flapping in the breeze. Flashes of lightning burst through the darkness, piercing it with flashes of bright light. "Who is that?" asked Kane. "It is the cause of all our problems," said Jack. "What the hell is that supposed to mean?" shouted Kane. "He is the one who we are fighting. The one who we claim to be able to defeat. He is the Destroyer, and he is here to do what he earned the name for. To destroy. He will annihilate all life on this world, and then he will move on to the next world, as he has done for centuries." "If this is who we are up against, then why aren't we fighting him right now?" shouted Kane. He ran outside, contrary to Sam's suggestion, and stood in the driving rain, staring at his enemy. He drew his sword, and concentrated all his energy into his feet. He floated, then flew towards the figure in the sky, his sword ready for battle. He flew at a tremendous speed, closing in on his target rapidly. He readied his sword, then stopped in mid-air, completely motionless. He hung there, as the Destroyer looked at him, his red eyes coming through the darkness inside his cloak. "You are the ones sent to fight me?" he boomed, the laughed. This laugh chilled Kane to his very core, and it was heard by everyone living in the town below. The Destroyer drew a long, curved sword, and sliced it across Kane's face. It cut open his cheek, drawing blood, too much blood for one cut. The Destroyer sheathed his weapon, and cast Kane back to the ground. He fell, only managing to stop himself just before he hit the ground. He flipped onto his feet, clutching the wound the Destroyer had given him. It burnt, but felt cold at the same time. He took his hand away, and the cut glowed blue for a moment, then settled as a scar, healing very rapidly. Sam, Kane, Kala and Jack ran, leaving the town, and moved to the hilltop just outside the town. The Destroyer went to work. Lightning flashed, and then turned red, the colour of blood. He cast it down at the town, making it slam into buildings and disintegrate them. Fire raged in the wreckage of many homes. The bodies of the townspeople were scattered, in flaming piles, or hung from the rooves of what were once houses, or impaled on sharp wooden girders. Fire would cleanse the destruction, and get rid of the bodies, but their memory would remain, and so would the memory of their horrific deaths. Sam fell to her knees, and wept; Kala stood still, speechless and shaking; Kane stood shaking with rage towards the Destroyer; and Jack looked disgusted, whether it was with Kane or with himself was unknown. Kane put his arm round Kala, and comforted her, feeling her shaking subside eventually. Her tears ran down his jacket, soaking in. Jack kicked the ground, angered that he could not prevent the deaths of more people. The black clouds ebbed away, and the Destroyer was gone. The remains of the once-quiet town remained, however. Sam remained on the ground, shaking with grief. She walked to the entrance of the town, and placed her hand on the ground. It was still shaking as she cried, but she managed to turn the burnt ground into a lush green garden, with flowers and trees. They spent the next few hours burying the dead, and by the end of it they were all tired and sweaty, not to mention dirty and harrowed by the experience. The rain started and began to wash away the memories of this experience, and clean the travellers. Kane was nowhere to be seen. Sam looked around for him, and found him kneeling next to one of the graves he had dug earlier. It was that of the young waitress from the cafe. "Why do so many innocent people have to die, Sam? Why did that thing kill all those people for no reason?" He began to cry, tears falling from his eyes onto the ground. "I don't know, Kane, I just don't know," she replied, embracing him tightly. Eventually the tears subsided, and he calmed down. "I'm going to kill him, Sam," said Kane, "I'm going to kill the Destroyer, you know that don't you?" "Yes, Kane," she said, "Yes I do..." (OOC: Sorry, quite a long post, but it is needed to introduce the villain of the piece, and now he's a real hate figure, so it's all good...)
7. Zuriel picked up the Harbinger, predicting that somehow it was going to help him in his fight against the Blood Spawn. Kuroichi and the Zugai had gone. He was alone against these beasts. He hefted the Harbinger in both hands, feeling it's power flow through his body. It was indeed a powerful weapon. He just needed to ensure that it was him who was controlling it, and not the other way round. The Blood Spawn advanced, holding their weapons in bony claws of decayed flesh. It hung from them like loose clothing, dripping blood. Their bones stuck out like gleaming beacons, bright white in the red morass. Their eye sockets, empty for the most part, occasionally held emerald-green eyes which glared at Zuriel with cold, unfeeling stares. He lifted the Harbinger, and swung it at the first of the Spawn. It tore into its flesh, all but ripping it in half. As it killed, and drew blood, it grew longer, and began to glow with a dull red light. As he struck more and more of the creatures down, it began to ripple with unknown energy, burning the eyes of the Spawn out of their sockets, before beginning to burn their flesh as well. He killed more and more of them, and the blade coruscated with crimson energies. Arcs of blood-red lightning shot from it, ripping the Spawn apart. Zuriel held the blade in the air, and the energy blasted from it in beams of red light. They pierced the darkness, and burst up through the clouds, all but ripping the sky apart. Then, as suddenly as it started, the energy faded, and the sword shortened to its original length. Zuriel knew he was lucky this time. The blade had only used a tiny part of its incredible energy. It could destroy an entire metropolitam city, Kuroichi had said. This time it had only killed a thirty-strong horde of Blood Spawn, but who knew what it could do next time. Zuriel placed the blade on his back, where a sling made of some kind of leather sprouted and lashed itself round the blade, holding it there. It still came down to almost his ankles even when it was strapped to his back. He began the walk back to the city, fearing what Kuroichi could do with more of these Night Blades...
8. "Let the Skull Sapphire guide you to your true destiny, Zuriel," whispered the voices Zuriel heard in his unconscious state. "We will make you stronger," said another. "Allow us to assimilate you into the gem, and all your pain will be taken away," said a third. "We can help you," said the first. "No," he said quietly, struggling with this indesicion. He was trapped in his psyche. And the power of the Skull Sapphire was driving him insane, ripping his mind apart. He held a gem, and yet he still did not have enough power to defeat Kuroichi. How could he lead his army now? How could he even face Zoku without Kuroichi's head or the alliance of the Zugai? "I will not be bound by a mere object! I am more than you can ever be!" he cried out, his voice piercing the silence in his mind. "You will never have enough power to defeat Kuroichi on your own. But if you merge with the gem, then you will! You can beat him!" "No! I will defeat Kuroichi on my own! I am strong! I do not need the power of a gemstone to beat my enemies! I have been doing it on my own for many years now!" "But Kuroichi is stronger than you will ever be! You cannot beat him without help!" The voices now manifested themselves as dark-cloaked figures, and the three of them stood menacingly in front of him. They reached out and moved towards him, threatening to engulf him with their darkness. "Stop," he said weakly, with no real conviction. A part of him now wanted to give in and let the figures take control, but another part told him to fight, and then defeat Kuroichi alone. Suddenly, something swished, and all three figures fell, cut in half. Abaddon stepped forwards, sheathing his sword, and glowing with an unnatural white light. Black wings had appeared from his back, the sign of a true Myrkur Aniol. "Zuriel," he said, "Do not give in to these visions. Fight against them, and they will respect you for it. They will give you power with no strings attached if you can just prove to them you are worthy." "I will, Abaddon, but how?" asked Zuriel. "You must face one of them in one-on-one combat." "In my mind?" "Yes. This is one of the hardest battles you will ever fight. Anything can happen during these battles. But fight your hardest, and even if you do not win, you will still have a chance to prove your worthiness." And with that, Abaddon vanished. The three figures returned, and began to move in on Zuriel again. He shouted at them: "Stop! I challenge one of you to one-on-one combat! Do you accept?" They looked at each other, then said: "We accept." The three figures merged into one, and he drew a massive sword from his cloak. Zuriel drew his swords. They ran at each other, and clashed. Zuriel fought harder than he had ever fought before, and was cutting the figure's cloak to shreds with his swords. The figure stood and laughed, then swung his sword. Zuriel flew backwards, and landed on what appeared to be a concrete floor. Without getting up, he threw one of his swords. It hit the figure in the shoulder, knocking him to the floor. Zuriel got up and lunged at the prone figure. He stabbed his sword at him, but as his sword made contact with the ground, the figure melted away and appeared behind Zuriel, and slashed, sending Zuriel to the floor once more. He ran at the figure and drew his sword from his chest, then swung both swords at once. The figure's head flew off, and his cloak collapsed to the floor. The figure split into it's three individual entities again, and they all bowed to the king of the Myrkur Aniol. "We offer our strength to the one who bested us in battle. Please take the strength of the gem and use it whenever you feel it is necessary. We will also heal your physical body." Zuriel woke up again, and felt renewed. His body was stronger than ever, and he felt new power rushing through his veins. The power of the Skull Sapphire. He got to his feet, and headed back to the city...
9. Lee watched as the President's daughter played happily with the other children. She was probably safe, but just to be sure, he threw a field around all the children to protect them all from any danger. It also added an element to their fun, as they bounced off it whenever they ran into it. They were all laughing and having fun, in spite of the current situation. There were survivors coming out all the time, any who had used weapons before being kitted out with them. Any women and children were moved into Lee's field. Lee for one couldn't wait to get home. He was dirty, smelly and tired, not to mention that his recently-healed chest wound was beginning to itch like mad. He thought that it might be inflamed or possibly even infected. His head was spinning with a combination of exhaustion and all his newly-discovered power. "Thank you for looking after my children, mister," said a young woman with a cockney accent, "I couldn't look after them that well if I tried." "It's all in a day's work, ma'am," replied Lee, slurring his words slightly. Then, he heard a sort of squawking noise from the distance. He looked to the horizon. There was a huge flock of vampires gathering around the spire of Big Ben. They changed their course, so they were heading straight towards the group. Lee saw them and felt dizzy. He closed his eyes, and rested his head on his chest for a moment, getting his sense of direction back. He looked again, and the vampires were right on top of them, ripping the women and children apart. Farel, Carl and the others tried to stop them, but they were ripped apart in the process. Blood spilled onto the floor, covering Lee's shoes in crimson. He blinked a few times, and saw that everyone was safe, and no-one was dead. In fact the vampires were nowhere to be seen. "I must be going crazy," he muttered to himself. He wandered over to where the children were playing, and saw them all being happy and playful. He smiled slightly, enjoying watching them having such fun in such a dangerous situation. Suddenly Carl ran over to him from where he was watching over the survivors. He looked panicked and disgusted. "Lee!" he shouted, "What have you done to the kids?" Lee looked at the kids. They were still having fun, playing together. "They're fine. What are you talking about, Carl?" "The kids!" he shouted, "They're all dead!" Lee looked again, and this time there were no children having fun, but his field was full of dead children, their blood rushing out of their bodies. Lee swore loudly, and took his field down. He looked around the children, and couldn't see the President's daughter anywhere. "Oh Jesus!" he cried out, "They've taken the President's daughter! The vampires have her!"
10. Zuriel had met up with members of the Zugai clan. They stood in the desert, heat scorching their faces. The Zugai were stony-faced, apparently unwilling to make a deal with Zuriel. "The Myrkur Aniol are weak," spat one of them, "We have no wish to join them." "But surely Kuroichi has done nothing for you. Why do you not wish to fight against him?" asked Zuriel. "They do not wish to join you, Zuriel, as they have already joined me," said a voice from the shadows. A figure stepped out. It was Kuroichi himself. "Ah, Kuroichi," snarled Zuriel, barely attempting to hide his rage at this man, "What a pleasure to finally meet you." "I wish I could say the same, Zuriel, I really do, but I'm afraid I can't. Because I'm not pleased to meet you. You are my enemy, and I do not wish to meet my enemy before our battle begins." "And yet, here you are. I see you have the co-operation of the Zugai already, Kuroichi." "And I see you have that of the Gwyar. Congratulations. You have an ally in this war. But now you will die! Zugai, attack the king!" he shouted. Every Zugai there ran at Zuriel, brandishing their weapons. And he was on his own, as the instructions from the Zugai had said. But it had all been a set-up. The Zugai attacked, swinging their blades at Zuriel. He had been disarmed as well, so he was essentially helpless. He dodged the Zugai's attacks, but one caught him on the shoulder. Blood ran down his arm, coming to his hand eventually. That was what he had been waiting for. The blood came into contact with the gem in his hand, and it began to vibrate. Energy spiralled from the gem up his arm, burning all the fabric of his sleeve off. The Zugai watched as this happened, and they saw what was in his hand. It was the Skull Sapphire. They all gasped, seeing the gem that would give their clan ultimate power, the power of the Skull. The energy continued to wreath around Zuriel, and he was lifted into the air. His eyes glowed with power, and he fired a burst of energy at the ground. Nothing happened for a moment, and Zuriel merely floated there, energy coruscating round his body. Then, all of a sudden, the ground cracked, and hundreds of skeletons burst forth, coming out of the ground like a wave. They vastly outnumbered the Zugai, who only had around five or six warriors fighting for them. They swarmed over the Zugai, killing them, and then engulfed Kuroichi, who simply stood there, waiting for them to engulf him completely. Then, he burst out, shattering every skeleton to pieces with his amazing strength. Now it was just him and Zuriel. He raised his hand, and Zuriel's blood flowed from the wound and into a sphere in Kuroichi's hand. He moved it around, then fired dozens of blood-metal knives from it. They cut through Zuriel, sending him to the ground in a heap. Kuroichi turned and walked away. Zuriel lay there, half-dead, and unable to move from the pain... (OOC: How much has Zuriel been beaten in this thread?! Oh well, I bring it on myself)
11. Zuriel stared at the Skull Sapphire in his hand. What had he done to deserve a gift of this power? Why did he now possess one of the gems that Kuroichi was searching for so desperately? He saw Zoku walking away, and called after him. The giant turned and looked at Zuriel. "Zoku. How am I supposed to know how to wield the Skull Sapphire? I have no knowledge of the use of these gems." "Just find the power inside you, and let it flow through the gem. It will enhance your strength, and give you the power to raise armies of undead skeletons." "Thank you, Zoku," he bowed to the vampire humbly. "I appreciate our new alliance very much. I believed my allies were spread rather thinly compared to Kuroichi's, but you may have tipped the balance." Zoku, Dusk and Jinsei turned away, and left Dracula and Zuriel alone in the park. "I must leave you for now, Zuriel," said Dracula, "I will return to talk with you soon." He walked away from Zuriel, and disappeared into the shadows. Zuriel returned to the temple. He took his seat on the throne, with Zophiel and Xaphan on the thrones next to him on either side. "What of your lengthy meeting with the Gwyar, Lord Zuriel?" asked Zophiel. "It was somewhat more productive than I had imagined. I have forged new alliances tonight, not only with the Gwyar clan, but also with Zoku the Behemoth, and his two compatriates, Dusk and Jinsei. They should prove most helpful to our cause." "That is most impressive. These alliances should help greatly in the war against Kuroichi." "That is not all. Now we may have the power to sway the Zugai. Zoku gave me this." He held the Sapphire out on his hand. Zophiel and Xaphan gasped, and moved back, slightly scared of the power of the gem. "The Skull Sapphire? But Zoku would not give this up so easily." "Well he has granted me the power to gain more allies. We should be grateful to him." "Indeed we should, master." "Tomorrow I must meet with the Zugai. We shall talk and I may be able to bring them to our side of the battle." (OOC: Woohoo! Zuriel has a gem! Jesus, Kuroichi is unstoppable! But maybe I shouldn't be saying that as I am the one who has to fight him!)
12. "So, where are you from?" asked Kala, trying to make conversation. "I'm was born in the mountains of Japan. That's where I was brought up, too. These monks in a monastery looked after me, brought me up. They saw my power and trained me to fulfill my destiny." "Which is?" "To rid the world of evil," replied Kane, feeling as though he could comfortably talk to this new arrival. "Wow. So how long have you known about your powers?" "A while. I found out when I was about two." "What about your parents? Why didn't they bring you up?" "They died when I was very young. I never really new them." "Oh my God, I'm so sorry," said Kala. "Don't be," replied Kane, "You didn't know." They walked for a while in silence, as Sam had come to expect from Kane. Then, after about half an hour, something happened. A red glow from the forest. They stopped, and Sam went in to discover the source of the light. A minute or two later, she burst out of the forest, knives drawn, with a demon holding onto her back, scratching her neck and face. Kane ran over to her, and stabbed the demon through the head, making it disintegrate. "What was that?" asked Kala. "That was a demon. Be prepared to see a lot more of them." At these words, around forty or fifty demons burst out of the woods around them, completely surrounding them. "Remind me to shut up next time!" Sam shouted to herself. Sam drew her knives, Kane drew his sword, and Kala drew her blades, shaped like the hands on a clock. The demons moved in, and Kane swung at the first one that came towards him. He lopped it's head off, and he used the swing to stab another through the heart. Sam was slicing demons apart with her knives, and Kala was darting in and out, moving too quickly for a normal person, slashing the demons to pieces. Kane realised that Kala was using her powers to stop time, move towards the demons, start time up again, and kill them. Well, if she could use her powers, then so could he. He cupped his hands together, and felt the force between them. He threw his hands out, and a blanket of gravitational energy covered a large group of the demons, crushing them all with the force of gravity. Kala and Sam stood back, impressed with Kane's work. He modestly sheathed his sword and walked on.
13. Storm saw the hand grab Keisha, slamming her down to the ground. He ran after her, but the figure who had grabbed her was already on his way through a transport portal. Who knew where it would take him and Keisha? Storm kicked the wall and swore. How could he have let Keisha get herself caught? How could he have been so stupid? Leon came to Storm's shoulder and placed his hand on it. "Don't worry, Storm," he said, "We'll get her back." "I know we will, I'm just worried about where she is being taken." ----------------------------- Arcanus Azrael sat on his newly-acquired throne, gloating over his victory. But he knew not to get big-headed about it. He had beaten his brothers, but that was merely the first step in taking over all the dimensions. "Come to me, my brethren," he boomed. His demons flew, crawled and ran over to him. "Our time is almost upon us. We must prepare for our movement into the human dimension. Alexander is there now, destroying the Fallen Angels, stopping them from protecting the humans. All that stands between us and our new realm is the wall and the Slayers. And both of these shall soon be history!" The demons cheered. Fire burst up around Azrael's throne, and giant black wings unfolded from his back. They were pure black, and they were wreathed in fire. He was getting ready to move. They would have control within a few days...
14. It has been 5 years since Kelthor?s demise, and 5 years since Lyon and Zack sacrificed themselves to protect their friends. The elementals have drifted apart, with Sam travelling the world to find new recruits, helping them cope with their powers. Lyon is missing presumed dead, and Jun has disappeared, his current whereabouts unknown. But even though Kelthor is dead, there must always be evil in this world. And a new power has risen to take Kelthor?s place. This new evil being is called the Destroyer, and he has taken the souls of the demons involved in the last battle, and turned them into new beings, who will fight alongside him. The new recruits Sam is trying to find are the reincarnations of the angels of those who fought Kelthor, and they are powered with elements, all the old ones, including Water, Fire, Lightning, Earth, Wind and Ice, and some new ones appearing as well, such as Metal, Magnetism, Gravity and Time. Lyon has merged with his angel, and this helped him to survive his final attack on Kelthor, and Jun had merged with his demon, turning him into some kind of feral creature. Zack is gone, however. He will not return to help the new recruits fight. Ok, here is the team: Blayze-Kane Eldridge/Gravity Heero Darkangel-Jun Kazama/Fire ...-Sam Ming/Earth amgoddess-Kala Primavera/Time Garelock-Ironus Jack/Metal kairiKIce2-Lyon Heart/Water First posts should be you either meeting up with Sam or preparing to. Here is mine: It was morning. The birds were singing in the trees, and the sun had just come up. Kane stamped the fire out from last night, leaving just ashes lying on the sodden ground. The English countryside was cold. Too cold for Kane's liking. He packed up all his things, including his sword and all his food, and packed all of Sam's clothes together as well. Moments later, Sam emerged from the woods, clean and fresh and ready for another day's travelling. "Where are we going today, Sam?" he asked her. "We are heading towards the Scottish border. There have been lots of warriors from Scotland, so hopefully we should have some luck there." They set off, carrying their bags and weapons across the countryside. They rarely talked to each other when they were travelling. Kane liked to keep himself to himself, for reasons known only to him. He was a very private person, who never shared any of his feelings with other people. After a few hours of walking, they reached an old Scottish castle ruin. They went in, trying to find any sign of angels or demons inside. There were none. They were about to leave, when something came skulking out of the shadows. It looked at the two strangers for a while, then bared its fangs. They shone out through the blackness of it's substance like a light in the darkness. It's eyes were a piercing yellow. It snarled slightly, and Sam and Kane turned to face it. Kane slowly put his pack down and drew his sword. It glinted in the dull sunlight. The demon walked slowly towards him, and then pounced. It was a lot quicker than it looked. Kane dodged, but only just. It scratched him across the arm, drawing blood. He swore and swung his sword at it. It caught it on the side of the neck, and it's head came off, landing on the floor next to it. The demon burst into it's individual dark droplets, which sank into the ground. Sam hurried over to Kane. "Are you okay? That thing got you pretty badly." Blood was rushing out of the wound. "No, I'm okay, thanks," he replied, taking a bandage out of his pack and wrapping it around his arm. He sheathed his sword, and they walked on. (OOC: Well, there it is. If you want to be found in Scotland you can be, but we're not going to be in Scotland for very long, so don't worry. I hope everyone enjoys this!)
15. Ok, all the sign-ups are great. I will be starting this either tonight or tomorrow night, depending on whether I can get round to it.
16. Lee was a little put off by being put on babysitting duty, but he was getting used to it. He just maintained a constant forcefield around the girl, and she floated two or three inches off the floor. This gave her constant entertainment, ans well as constant safety. He heard voices round the corner. He couldn't make out what they were saying, but they didn't sound familiar. He drew his gun, and the little girl started crying. He tried to calm her down, but then something jumped out from round the corner, brandishing a gun, which was now pointed at Lee's face. He looked at the holder of the gun. "Farel!" he shouted, overjoyed to see him again, "You found us!" Farel feigned happiness mockingly, and turned to the rest of the group. He saw the small floating girl. "You found the President's daughter, then." "Yeah, and the head werewolf is dead. That leaves one more objective, then we can go home!" "Well, the head vampire's dead, too. I shot him in the side of the head when I was trying to protect Taikaru. So I guess that means all our objectives are complete!" "But, Farel, the head vampire isn't dead. How long ago did you kill him?" "Couple of hours ago." "Well, we encountered some vampires less than an hour ago. If the head vampire was dead, then all the other vampires would just give up and go home. But there are still vampires out there. Sorry to steal your thunder, but our work here isn't quite done yet." "But, Taikaru said that he was the lead vampire." "Then Taikaru is wrong. No offence Taikaru." "None taken." "So, I didn't kill the head vampire then?" "No." "Dammit!" he shouted. It echoed throughout the city. "Calm down, man," said Lee, "We'll get him, don't worry about it!"
17. Zuriel slowly broke back into consciousness, struggling to open his eyes. The pain was almost unbearable, and it was blinding him. Blood ran down his body, dribbling into a pool on the ground. He felt a tingle in one of the wounds on his chest. Another vampire had tasted his blood while he was unconscious. A vampire unworthy of even seeing him bleed. He got to his feet, and stumbled over to the park where Zoku, Dracula, Dusk and Jinsei were. He couldn't find his swords, they were nowhere to be seen. He was blinded by a combination of the pain and his desire to kill Zoku, even with the knowledge that he definitely couldn't. Zoku was standing there, watching the battle between Dracula and Dusk. Dracula was not faring well. He was being beaten to a point of near-death by Dusk, as Zuriel had been by Zoku. Dracula's blood dripped onto the ground from his mouth and nose as Dusk pounded him into the ground. "Zoku," said Zuriel weakly, "You will die!" He stumbled towards Zoku. The titan laughed, seeing Zuriel's pathetic attempt to fight. He drew Oblivion once more, and rammed it through Zuriel's stomach. Zuriel gasped, and grabbed hold of the blade, the metal cutting through his skin and making blood run down his hands. He sank to one knee, and Zoku pulled the sword out from his opponent. Blood ran down Zuriel's body onto the damp grass, saturating it with crimson. "No," Zuriel thought, "It can't end like this! I can't be beaten before the war has even properly begun! I am the king of the Myrkur Aniol!" He fell into blackness, and saw a shining light in the distance. He tried to move towards it, but it seemed to be coming up on him at a fair rate. It came to him, and he saw that it was an image of Abaddon, fourth general of the Seraphic legions of the Myrkur Aniol. "Hello Zuriel," he said, "You are close to death, that is why you can see me. I am here to give you advice. Move back into the light, the furthest from death you can get, and your power will increase. You will be like the Phoenix, and come back from death stronger than before. You must do this. Zoku will become your ally if you give him something to respect." "I have tried to fight him when I was on the brink of death, and still all he did was to impale me. I cannot win the titan's respect." "You will," said Abaddon, moving away. Zuriel was being hurled back into the light. He awoke with a start, blood spilling out of his mouth as he coughed himself back to life. He felt refreshed. His wounds seemed to be healed, even though his robe was still covered in dried blood. He felt stronger than he ever had before. He got to his feet, and his swords whisked to his hands from the floor. They wreathed themselves in fire, and his eyes burned with hate. "Zoku!!!" he shouted, "This time you will die!" "Calm down, Zuriel," said a bloodied and bruised Dracula, now standing next to Dusk and Zoku, "We have reached an agreement." (OOC: kairiKIce2-sorry if this ruins any plans you had, but I couldn't just lie in an alley for that long. You can post for the time when I am unconscious, like a flashback-type thing)
18. Storm ran into the clearing and saw his two team-mates unconscious on the floor, and the dark angel flying in the air, holding the disembowled body of another dark angel, blood gushing out onto the floor. "Oh great," he said sarcastically, as the dark angel flew towards him, eyes blazing and his face screwed up with maniacal laughter. Storm easily ducked under the swoop, and the dark angel hit a tree, knocking himself to the ground for a moment. Storm ran over to Keisha and woke her up. "Keisha," he said hurriedly, "Can you keep him busy for a few minutes?" "Keep who busy?" she mumbled. The dark angel flew over their heads, almost clipping Keisha's scalp. "Him," said Storm, "I need you to keep him busy for a few minutes while I get something from the warehouse." Keisha got to her feet, and drew her weapons, prepared to hurt the dark angel if she needed to. Storm ran, and reached the warehouse in a few minutes of high-speed running. He ran inside, and picked something up from the wall. Keisha was dodging the dark angel's attacks, trying not to resort to violence. He was screeching, and swooping at her repeatedly with his two swords drawn. He was out for blood. But then, something slammed into his shoulder, making blood spray from it, and him spiralling to the ground. Storm came into the clearing holding a high-powered sniper rifle, smoking from the end. "Oh my god!" screamed Keisha, "You killed him! Why did you kill him?" "I didn't kill him," Storm said angrily, "He's just tranquilised. He'll wake up when we have him back at the base, but we'll have him secure by then. If you are going to endanger the mission like that again, Keisha, then you're going to be in a lot of trouble." "What mission?" she shouted, "We were just getting our asses kicked by a demon! That doesn't count as a mission! And we were already as endangered as we were going to get, so I don't see why I should get in trouble!" Storm picked up the angel, who was now reverting to his fallen angel form, and carried him silently back to the warehouse, where he tied him to a pillar with chains made of golden light, unbreakable chains made for him by a sorcerer wth amazing power. The angel began to wake up...
19. "Good, the sun's out," said M, "That should limit the vampire interest somewhat." The group were packing their weapons up and eating supplies for breakfast. Lee was eating some sort of breakfast bar, with cereal and fruit in it. It didn't taste much like breakfast, but it would do for now. "Ok team," shouted M, "As long as we're ready, we need to set off as soon as we can. We are heading for the north of the city, which is where the vampire nests have been spotted before. If we're lucky then we should find the head vampire, and maybe even Farel and Taikaru." They set off at a brisk speed, heading north. Big Ben struck 7 pathetically. There were vampire nests up in the clock tower of Big Ben, and they had partially disconnected the bell to stop it waking them up during the day. The wolves were all gone, supposedly wiped out by the vampires, but the team kept their weapons out anyway. This situation had made them all slightly paranoid. Something stirred under the rubble, and everyone had their weapons on the pile of rubble. It turned out to be a mouse. Everyone sighed and relaxed their weapons.
20. Ok, hopefully kairi should sign up again soon. I would just like to warn people who are joining, we may post quite a lot during this RPG, so if you rarely have access to a computer, then this one might not be for you. Just a friendly warning. Anyway, the only person left who needs to post is kairi, and then we can start quite soon. Later, Blayze

He will not return to help the new recruits fight. This is an all-out battle between the armies of angels, who can actually fight this time, and the demons. There will be no merging with demons or angels, as they are all separate beings from each other. All the angels and demons from the last RPG will appear. This is what I need for sign-ups: Name: Age: 15-20 Gender: Personality: Appearance: Pic or description Bio: 2 decent paragraphs at least Element: choose from lightning, wind, ice, metal, magnetism, gravity, time unless you are from the original thread, in which case sign up as your element from that one Weapon: Anything close-combat (I will allow throwing knives/stars/needles etc.) Here are my sign-ups: Name: Kane Eldridge Age: 19 Gender: Male Personality: He is a loner, who prides himself on being able to take care of himself without the help of others, but he can pull through for his friends when he needs to. He could move objects using it, crush things, draw things to him, push things away, and even levitate. He was so happy when he got his powers. But then, a force of demons attacked the monastery, killing all the monks he had come to regard as his family and destroying his home. He only managed to escape because his power flew out of control and crushed the demons to death. He wandered the land, until Sam found him and took care of him. 22. They watched as the strange man saved the president's daughter, and brought her to the ship. That was two objectives completed in a matter of minutes, by this one man. They had saved the president's daughter, and they had dispatched the leader of the vampires. All that was left to do now was to kill the leader of the werewolves. Lee opened the telekinetic field slightly, so the man and the president's daughter could come in, and then closed it behind them as some wolves tried to get in. M walked up to the man, and held his hand out. The man took it. "The name's M, head of field ops Project Heaven." "I'm Eric. It seems I found my team," he said. "What do you mean?" asked Ivy. "I'm a member of Project Heaven as well. I'm their agent in London, but I guess there's not a lot of point in me staying here now this has happened." "I didn't hear about any agents in Britain. Is Red your commander?" "Yeah," replied Eric, "I've been here a couple of months, doing some work into the vampire nests." "So what type are you?" asked Lee. "What do you mean?" "What do you do? What's your power? Or don't you have any, like Carl?" Carl grunted unhappily at this. "I have glimpses. I see into the future, but only very brief flashes of things that are a few minutes ahead at most." "I'm Lee. I'm a telekinetic." Eric shook Lee's hand. "Alright," said M, "Now all we need to do is find the leader of the werewolves. Then we can go home." They all cheered at this. (OOC: Sorry if i am assuming too much of your backstory, lil kitsune boy, just PM me if anything's not right and I will edit)
23. Storm sat at the table with his feet on it, looking through his small sketch book of all the creatures he had killed in the last year, when the front of the warehouse was blasted off in a flash of red light. He jumped to his feet, and grabbed his weapons, ready for battle. Keisha and Leon came out with their weapons drawn as well. Outside the warehouse was a man. But he seemed to reek of power. He had blood-red hair and a tattoo on his forehead in the shape of a crescent moon. He had four wings spread from his back, all of them white, but with a certain dark tint to them. His hands were smoking from the energy blast he had just ripped the front of the warehouse off with. "Who are you?" asked Storm. "I am Alexander. As God has his archangel Gabriel, Azrael has his dark archangel Alexander. I am here to discover your power for myself." "Well, taste this!" shouted Leon, firing a huge wall of fire at Alexander. It passed over him, and he was left unharmed. He laughed. "You think fire can stop me? My home dimension is created from fire!" He shot a blast of dark energy at Leon, who flew back into a wall. Storm blasted lightning at him, bolts of it blowing holes in the warehouse roof, and Keisha used her ice to freeze him to the spot. But he broke free of the ice, and shrugged off the lightning attack. He held Storm and Keisha on the spot with dark energy, and lifted them up. Tendrils of energy crept into their mouths and noses, burning the inside of their heads. Storm grunted in pain, but then he broke free of Alexander's hold. "How did you do that?" asked Alexander, astonished. "Believe me, I've withstood a lot worse," replied Storm, drawing electricity from all the electric lights and heaters in the warehouse. His eyes crackled with electricity, and he levitated a few inches off the ground. A huge beam of lightning blasted from his hands, and threw Alexander into the river. Storm floated over to the river, and electrified the water. Then, the electricity died away, and Storm collapsed, exhausted.
24. Lee watched idly as wolves and vampires dashed their heads against the field trying to get in. He looked at his watch. Somehow, even after all this, it still worked. It was almost morning. Very soon, they would have to call for backup and leave Farel and Taikaru behind. He felt a tickling on the back of his hand, and looked down at it. There was a tiny spider crawling across it. He froze, and began to shake. He looked down at the floor, and there were dozens of spiders crawling around. He gasped, and crawled up on his seat as far as he could go. He began shaking violently, and shouted to M: "M! Th-there are spiders all over the f-floor!" "So what?" asked M. "They're my g-greatest f-fear. I-I can't stand them!" "You could have said something earlier, Lee, and we could have done something about it." M walked over and looked around Lee's seat. "Lee, there's nothing on the floor. There are no spiders anywhere near here." Lee looked down and saw the spiders. Then he blinked and rubbed his eyes, and the spiders were gone. "Weird," he said, "Must have been some kind of hallucination or something." He sat back, and saw the werewolves charging at the field. There were dozens of them now, all killing themselves trying to get in. It almost made him laugh. "So, you're afraid of spiders, are you?" said Ivy. "Yeah, just a little," replied Lee, "They used to kind of haunt me in my dreams when I was in a coma, and I think it may have been a spider-demon that killed my parents." "Hmm," Ivy said, getting out her little book and opening it, "I killed a spider-demon a few months ago. I seem to remeber it exploding, because I got kinda angry at it." "It might have been the same one, then," said Lee absent-mindedly. He was falling asleep, the excitement of the mission was now catching up with him. Suddenly, he saw a face in his head, a face in the darkness, wreathed in fire. It's eyes glowed red with hatred. "You will not escape, Lee," said the thing he was looking at, "I will come for you eventually." He awoke with a start, and felt his shield weakening. The werewolves were beginning to get through. How could this have happened? Why was his shield going down? Did it have something to do with that face he had just seen? He drew a pistol, and shouted to the others: "Guys! I think my shield's gone down. Get ready for some fighting!" The wolves broke through, and spilled through the gap created. Guns blazed, Carl and M shooting their automatic weapons, Ivy shooting her shotgun, desperately trying to protect Andy, and Lee firing his pistols into the wolves. He tried to wake the sleeping soldier, but was too late. A wolf ripped him apart. Lee shot this wolf through the back of the skull, splattering his brains all over the body of the soldier. The other remaining soldier fired his machine-gun into the wolves, furious with them for killing the rest of his squad. When would Farel get here? Lee didn't want to leave him behind, but it was looking as though they might have to...
25. Zuriel and Dracula stood opposite this new being, Dusk, Jinsei, and Zoku, the titan. They were all ready for battle. But Dusk and Zoku both held the power of the gems, and Zuriel and Dracula held none. This would be a short battle by all means. Dusk charged at Dracula, and Zoku ran at Zuriel. They clashed, Zuriel drawing his weapons the moment Zoku swung his. The weapons clashed, sparks flying onto the floor. Dusk and Dracula were already in a fierce battle next to them. Zuriel attempted to hold Zoku, but Zoku's amazing strength pushed him to the floor. He stabbed downwards towards Zuriel, who rolled out of the way, and slashed at Zoku's feet as he tried to draw his sword from the soft ground. He caught Zoku across the ankle, and blood trickled out, only a scratch appearing. Zoku laughed, and said: "You attempt to hurt me, Fallen?" "I do, behemoth." "Why? You know you can never win against me!" "I fight because I wish to uphold what is right! I fight to allow the memory of Abaddon live on! Kuroichi stands against everything Abaddon ever fought for. So I fight not to win, but to go down honourably, as Abaddon did!" "You seem to follow Abaddon well, and yet only a few hours ago you fought him as fiercely as you fight me now! You seem to have mixed loyalties, Zuriel!" "Perhaps. But at least I fight for what is right!" He swung at Zoku, who dodged easily, and swung the sword Oblivion at Zuriel. It caught him in the chest, and flung him against a tree. Blood dribbled slowly down his robe, but he still got up. "You are a persistent one, Zuriel," said Zoku, apparently amused by Zuriel's resistance, "I shall have to put you down completely!" The titan charged at Zuriel, his eyes blazing, hungry for blood...
