"I betray you, Ziarre, because I know I am more powerful than you," replied Lazarus. The shadow creatures began to advance on him, eyes glowing in the darkness of their substance, weapons forming from their arms. They looked intent to kill. Lazarus looked at them and smiled, then burst into laughter. "You attempt to destroy me with such puny beasts as this? Are you joking?" he said. He flicked his hands out, and the creatures stopped, turned around, and began moving towards Ziarre and Kayin. He could not fight properly, as he was still encased in the cage of light, but he could make these monsters do his bidding. They moved towards the two heroes, who backed away. "Begone," said Lazarus, waving his hand. The creatures dissipated into their individual droplets, but before the droplets could sink into the ground, he took them up and began to mould them. He combined the darkness from all of Ziarre's creatures, and combined them into one huge, hulking shadow beast, flames glowing in it's eyes. "See if you can destroy that, heroes," he said, as the creature advanced towards them...

(OOC: You guys are insane! In a good way, of course) Zack was sitting at the top of the hill, woorying about Sam. He didn't know what she had gone through in the castle, but he knew it wasn't good. She had come out different, she had a strange new aspect to her personality. She seemed colder than before, more distant. He was worried. Then, the ground began to shake. But it wasn't just the ground. It was the entire area, even the sky. This couldn't be good. Zack stood up, but was thrown to the ground as soon as he got to his feet. The sky swirled round, not just the clouds, but the entire sky. It turned into a vortex of dark energies, spewing black lightning everywhere. The ground cracked as well, deep red-coloured magma bursting out. A strange, winged creature flew down from the sky, holding a flaming sword. He floated gracefully down and landed on the ground. It turned out he was wearing blood-red armour, and had black hair, twisted roughly into spikes. His eyes glowed an unearthly red, like the colour of dying embers in a fire. His wings were white, almost shining in the darkness. As soon as this figure's feet touched the ground, the quake stopped. He extinguished his flaming sword, and slid it back into it's sheath. He spoke, with a voice far too deep and rumbling for a man of his stature. It almost shook the earth as he spoke. "Are you those searching for their angels and demons?" he asked. "Yes," replied Zack, "And who might we be talking to?" "I am the Herald. I only show myself at times of great danger to the universe. Kelthor has almost managed to merge with his demon and angel. If he manages this, this entire universe and many others besides will be destroyed. He was separated from his demon and angel by my people, to protect the cosmos. He was born with power far too great for this universe, and he had to be stopped immediately. We couldn't kill him, as this would alert humans to our prescence, but we could separate his good and evil sides, delaying his rise to power. The time for this has come, and you must be the ones who will stop it." "How?" asked Jun. "By destroying Kelthor's two halves, you can rid the cosmos of his evil. But you must destroy both halves, not just one. Are you prepared to take this risk?" "I know I am, Herald," said Zack. "As am I," said Lyon, bowing to the Herald. "Jun? Are you up for it?" asked Zack. "I guess so. But after this, I'm out of the game. For good." "Fair enough," said Zack. He turned to the Herald and said: "We accept." "Hang on, Zack," said Lyon, "What about Sam? We need her say in this as well." "That's true," said Zack, "Jun, can you go and fetch Sam?" Jun walked off, and came back a few moments later with Sam. The Herald repeated his offer, and they all turned to Sam to see if she would accept or reject his offer... (OOC: It's your choice, ...)

Zack, Lyon and Jun stood facing the dark vortex, and stepped into it. They emerged in a strange realm they did not know. It was dark, and the walls seemed to move, as if they were alive. There seemed to be no light, so Jun conjured a fireball, which lit the way in front of them. Kelthor had to be around somewhere, which also meant that Sam should be as well. They moved forward, and tried to avoid the demons crawling over the walls. There seemed to be literally thousands of them, and if they were killed then more would take their place, so it wasn't wise to confront them in a battle. Most likely, if they killed Kelthor, then the rest of the demons would fall. Jun's fireball created very little light, so they could hardly see, but their vision was improving by the minute, adjusting to the new conditions. In the distance they could vaguely see a huge building, seemingly formed from the darkness of this realm itself. It was a hulking structure, all turrets and towers. That had to be where Kelthor resided. They moved forward some more, and Jun's light began to fade. Lyon and Zack turned around, and saw that Jun was looking at the wall. They went back to him, and looked at the wall he was staring at. It had strange pictures drawn on in some kind of paint or ink. The pictures showed a group of people travelling through the darkness to discover the light. The people seemed to represent Lyon, Jun and Zack. They were each surrounded by an aura of their own element. They moved on, and found an entrance to Kelthor's castle. It was heavily guarded, by at least twelve demons more powerful than the ones they had faced before. They needed to get in, but they didn't want to get into a battle. It was a tricky situation. (OOC: Sorry it's so mind-numbingly awful, I just wanted to set the scene for where we are a little bit)

"Excellent," whispered Lazarus, watching the whole thing, "Well done, Ziarre." Kayin joined the other heroes in the dining room, and Ziarre moved in on them. She was still holding her bow taught, and aiming steadily at the heroes. She looked capable of killing them all with a single thought. "I'm taking you all out into the forest," said Ziarre, "There you will meet your demise. This is what you get for not trusting Ziarre." "We do trust you," said Hiroshi, moving towards Ziarre. She swung round and aimed her arrow at him. He stepped back, putting his hands in the air. "No you don't," she replied, "I know that you all thought I summoned that monster! Well now I've found someone who understands my pain. He knows what I've been going through. And he's going to help me gain control over my powers." "Foolish girl," Lazarus whispered, "If she thinks I will let her live, then she is sadly mistaken." Ziarre moved the heroes into the forest, and Lazarus moved towards them. Soon they were all standing in a large clearing, weaponless and unable to use their powers against one of their own. Lazarus strolled cockily into the clearing. "Good work, Ziarre," he said, "You will get your reward in time. But first, the matter of the rest of you." He turned to the heroes, and drew his swords. "Kneel before your executioner," he said. They dropped to their knees. He walked along the line. "Now which one first? Which one?" he pondered to himself. He stopped next to Kayin. "Ah, yes, the Hero of Light. The one who caused me so much pain before. You will be the first to die." He raised his sword, ready to decapitate Kayin. "Wait!" shouted Ziarre, "Give me my reward now, or I won't let you kill them." "Try to stop me, Ziarre," he replied. She turned to him, and loosed the arrow at him. It hit his chest and disappeared. He flung her away with his powers. When he turned back, Kayin was gone. Lazarus ran into the woods after him, and a chase began.

(OOC: So does that mean I can kill Abaddon eventually, then?) Gabriel's horn sounded once more, and the two legions of vampires charged at each other, screaming their own personal war-cries. They slammed together, bones crunching with the impact. Some fell there, without even managing to land a blow. Others sliced and hacked, members of the Seraphic legions and Zuriel's legion falling to the weapons of the other side. Blood spilled onto the ground, forming puddles of crimson. Zuriel was at the head of the army, slicing at the opposition with his swords. He decapitated one, then blocked another and spun under his blow, slicing him across the midriff, then plunged his blade into the vampire's chest. He looked up, stained with the blood of his own clan, and saw Abaddon hanging around at the back of his legion, waiting for the opportune moment to strike against him. Zuriel's armour was already splattered with blood and earth, but he was still slicing his way through the other Myrkur Aniol. For a few minutes, it looked like Zuriel's legion would win the battle, but then Zuriel saw his army's doom. Abaddon, clad in full armour, wielding his mighty sword, charged at the battle, hacking through the vampires, cutting a swathe into the lines of the Myrkur Aniol. He sliced, but never took his eyes off Zuriel. He met Abaddon's gaze and returned it. He ran at the mighty vampire, cutting through the other vampires to reach him. "Abaddon!" he shouted, "Why do you fight your own clan?" "You are not worthy to be the leader! You should not be on the throne!" replied Abaddon through the screams of his men. "Then let us allow these others to live. Your quarrel is with me, not the rest of my clan!" "It is true that I do not wish my own clan to be taken apart, weakened for Kuroichi to destroy us with ease. Very well. It shall be one-on-one duel to the death. Either you or I will not leave this field alive." The rest of the men broke apart, leaving the dead on the ground. They would be collected later. Zuriel and Abaddon were left facing each other, the bodies of their men paving the path between them. They placed their weapons back in their sheaths, and moved ten paces away from each other. Gabriel moved his horn to his mouth again, and, after a few moments, he blew a long, clear note on it. Both warriors leapt at each other, drawing their weapons in mid-air, and meeting on the ground. Their swords clashed, and the battle began. Zuriel slashed, Abaddon dodged, then swung at Zuriel, who blocked. The force of Abaddon's sword made Zuriel's arm go dead. He jumped over a horizontal swipe, and swung at Abaddon's head. Abaddon ducked, and Zuriel landed in the mud. He recovered quickly, though, and slashed a cut in Abaddon's arm. Blood trickled steadily out of it, and dripped onto the ground. "So, you have cut me, Zuriel. Maybe you shall see my blood again this day, but for the last time!" he charged at Zuriel...

"Show yourself to me, Kelthor," said Zack. The sky turned black again, and a bolt of purple lightning shot from the sky, and hit the ground in front of Zack. Kelthor appeared as the light dissipated. "Ah, Zack, this has gone exactly the way I had planned," gloated Kelthor, "You have merged with your demon, and you will destroy your angel next time you see him. You will die soon, Zack." Zack knelt in front of his true master. "Kelthor. I do not wish to die. I wish to dispose of those others I have brought together. I have already killed one, and there are only three others who can try to stop us. Why let me die now, when I can help you kill the others?" "You make an interesting proposal, Zack. Very well. Go back to the others, and destroy them. You are far more powerful than they will ever be." "Thank you, master," said Zack humbly. He got to his feet, and Kelthor disappeared again. Zack went back to the temple, and found the others training. Trying to improve their pathetic powers. It would not help them. "Sam," he whispered, using the wind to send his voice to her, "You cannot improve your powers. You will always be a danger to the ones you love. Stop trying to control them, and they will help you." She turned around, and Lyon asked her: "What is it, Sam? Do you hear something?" "I heard a voice. It sounded familiar, yet different. I don't know who it was." "Then maybe it was Zack. Maybe he has found his way back to the light." Zack took this opportunity to walk slowly out into the training area, into their view. "Zack!" cried Sam, "What happened to you?" "I think I captured my demon!" "Really?" asked Lyon. "No," replied Zack. He held his hands out and blasted lightning into all three of them, throwing them back against the walls. He laughed as they cried out in pain. He let them drop, and they fell to the floor, smoking. "You can never defeat me and Kelthor together you fools!" he said. Lyon stood up, and folded his hands together. A sphere of water gathered between them, and he threw it at Zack, who simply batted it away with a hand glowing with electricity. "Fool," he said, "Water cannot harm me." He threw lightning at Lyon, who was knocked out by the force of the blast. Sam got shakily to her feet. She pressed her hand onto the ground, and the earth shook violently beneath Zack. He was thrown to the ground, where a jet of flame engulfed his body. He screamed in pain. Jun was standing next to Sam, fire pouring from his hands, burning Zack. "No, Jun!" shouted Sam, "Stop hurting him! He's our friend!" "Oh, yeah? Would a friend do that to Lyon?" "He's just not himself. Jun, stop it!" "No!" Sam threw Jun to the ground with a small quake, and the flame stopped coming. Zack got to his feet, his flesh almost burnt off by Jun's assault. A flash of purple light came and went, and Kelthor stood there, in his fine armour. He turned to Zack, and clicked his fingers. Zack's flesh closed up, the burns healing rapidly. Then he turned to the others, and threw a ball of black energy into their midst. It grew, and enveloped them all in it's strangely sticky substance. "You are all coming with me," said Kelthor. He snapped his fingers, and he, Zack, and the ball of energy disappeared, transported back to Kelthor's lair. ------------------------------------ Kelthor sat in his throne, and Zack stood next to him, at his right hand side. The three elementals were suspended upside down in front of him. "I am going to get you to kill your friends, Zack, as soon as they wake up. You know that, don't you?" "I wouldn't have suspected any less from you, master." "Excellent. Look, one of them's waking up now." Sam was stirring. She had woken up first, and she would die first. "Do what you must do, Zack," he said. Zack walked over to Sam, and raised his hands. He looked down at Sam with his cold black eyes, and winked, his eyes turning back to their original light blue. Sam looked confused, and started to panic as Zack's hands filled with electric energy. He was about to strike her down with the power of the storm, when he turned around and directed his full fury at Kelthor. The lightning struck Kelthor, who flew off his throne and was knocked out on the floor. Zack turned and cut the others down with his swords. He checked their vital signs. Jun was alright, but Lyon didn't have a pulse. Zack pointed a finger at his chest, and fired a small bolt of lightining into his heart. It jump-started it, and he was jolted back to life, gasping for air. Jun woke up gradually, and saw Zack, and backed away. "Don't worry, Jun, it's me again," said Zack comfortingly. Jun looked in his eyes, and said: "Good. It is you." But then, Kelthor arose, flying into the air, surrounded by an aura of dark energy. His eyes were blazing with rage. "You shall all die tonight!" he shouted, and fired a massive beam of dark energy at the group...

The world is not alone. We always thought we were, but it is not true. We have simply been living in ignorance for thousands of years. There are other dimensions, thousands of them, all connected to each other. Unfortunately for us, our closest dimension is called Arcanus. It is the dimension of demons. Fortunately, any being with a soul cannot pass through the barriers separating the worlds. This protects us from the more powerful denizens of Arcanus. But they are clever. They have begun to create beings without souls, able to cross the walls with ease. These beings can only stay alive by feeding on the blood of those with souls. They are vampires. For the last thousand years, powerful beings from our own dimension have protected the walls. These beings were called Guardians. But they were destroyed by an unknown force. To help the human race to survive, they transferred all their power into a few selected humans. These humans became known as the Slayers. They hunted demons down, and as they were killed, they transferred their power to a new host, who became a Slayer. But the vampires are coming through more and more now. No-one knows why, and no-one knows how they can be stopped, but everyone knows one thing. They must be. If enough vampires can breach the walls, then the walls will weaken, and it will become much easier for powerful demons to break through. The Slayers can stop this. But they must prepare for the worst. They can join forces with stronger, human-made beasts, such as werewolves, and beings from a place known a Nephelia. These are the Fallen Angels. Together they must stop the demons from breaking through. Races: Humans-All humans involved in this RP will be Slayers. These Slayer have enhanced speed, strength and agility, and control over a different element out of: Ice, Fire, Earth, Lightning. I only need to fill these spots for Slayers. They carry close-combat weaponry, such as swords, axes and knives. Werewolves-Humans who can turn into human-wolf beings, not only at the full moon, but now they can transform at will, whatever time of day it is. They are stronger and more agile than humans. They do not need weaponry, and only rely on their claws and teeth. Fallen Angels-Winged beings, denizens of a strange part of our dimension called Nepehelia. They have control over heavenly energies, and can use them as projectile blasts, or healing powers, or both. They are armed with medieval weaponry (this includes katanas) Evil Races: Vampires-These are human in the way they walk, talk and act, but demon in every other way. They are sadistic, bloodthirsty creatures who take great pleasure in the suffering of others. They use close-combat weaponry, like the Slayers, and drink the blood of those they kill. Higher Demons-These creatures are powerful, but they are ensouled, so they cannot get through the walls. They can produce vampires, however, which can allow them to weaken the walls, invading the human dimension. This is their ultimate plan. Dark Angels-These creatures reside on Earth, since they were cast out of Nephelia by the Angels many centuries ago. They take human form, but have in fact become demons of pure darkness, intent on returning to Nephelia by killing all the Fallen. They can use dark energies to counteract the powers of the Fallen, by killing and destroying living things. They carry close-combat weaponry, and crossbows. Here?s what I need from everyone: Name: Age: (Human:16-30; werewolf: 25-80; Fallen Angel: 150+; Vampires: 150-600; Higher Demons: anything up to 5000; Dark Angels: 150+) Race: Human, werewolf, Fallen Angel, Vampire, Higher Demon, Dark Angel Gender: Appearance: Pic or description Personality: Vary it-I don?t want everyone to be a loner Bio: Two paragraphs at least please Weapon: Powers: Other: Here?s my sign-up: Name: Storm Allerdyce Age: 21 Race: Human Gender: Male Appearance: Personality: Storm is always the first to crack a joke, but sometimes his sense of humour fails him, and he is not sure what to do. Bio: Storm was a happy child, always playing in his backyard, until he was out walking with his parents when he was fifteen, and a vampire jumped them in a dark alley and killed his parents in front of his eyes. He grew angry, and his Slayer powers kicked in, blasting the vampire into dust with his electric powers. These flew wildly out of control, and he accidentally destroyed a large part of his home town, before he was stopped by the police. He was in a coma for three years, as the doctors gave him a specially-devised serum to prevent his powers from returning as violently as they had emerged. He woke up after three years, and he could almost control his powers. He sought out another Slayer, to try and get help in controlling his powers. The Slayer he found took him to a monastery in the mountains of Japan, where he learnt to control his powers using the meditation techniques of the Zen Buddhist monks. Also, while he was there, he learnt of his duty, and of his destiny. He travelled around the world with the other Slayer, seeking out the other two Slayers, and killing vampires on the way. When in Africa, his friend was murdered in the night by a group of Aboriginal vampires. Storm?s rage took hold once more, and he annihilated the vampires with a single thought. He has vowed to find the other Slayers, and continue his friend?s legacy. Weapons: Two short swords Powers: Enhanced speed, strength and agility, electricity-casting powers I am also going to be playing a Higher Demon. Here is my Demon Profile: Name: Azrael Age: 4036 Race: Higher Demon Gender: Male Appearance: (Yes, i know it's Sephiroth) But give him shorter red hair with black streaks. Personality: Azrael is a cold-hearted killer, who will stop at nothing to enter the human dimension, kill and enslave it?s occupants, then take it as his own. Bio: Azrael is the ruler of Arcanus, along with the two other Lords of Hell: his brother Lazarus and a being known as the Dragon. He has ruled for three thousand years, since his father perished trying to cross the wall. Ever since his father died, Azrael has been planning to cross the wall himself one day. The other two Lords of Hell believe that he is going too far with his ambitions, that demons should stay in their dimension just as humans should stay in theirs. But Azrael had big plans. He began to use human bodies to create vampires, soulless beings who could move freely between dimensions. His grand plan was that he would send so many vampires through at once that it would weaken the wall, and allow him to destroy it, giving himself an opportunity to move into the human dimension and carry out his plan to kill or enslave it?s occupants. Then, something ruined his plans. Lazarus and the Dragon teamed up and banished Azrael to the lower levels of Hell, where he couldn?t get through the barrier. But he has been gaining support from other demons for the last hundred years, and he plans to make an uprising and carry out his grand plan very soon. He will get to the human dimension one way or another. Weapons: An enchanted katana Powers: Extremely powerful fighter, both armed and unarmed, has a huge knowledge of black magic spells. That?s all from me, PM me if you have any questions. Happy creating!

"My name is Lekishal. I am a vampire wishing to join the Myrkur Aniol. Please let me join!" Zuriel sniffed at her. He smelt something unpleasant around her. The scent of attempted betrayal. "You lie!" he shouted, his voice echoing down the street, "You are already a member of my clan, but you are of a different legion, a different branch of the clan. You wish to gain my trust so you can betray me! And for your insolence you shall die! But first tell me who sent you!" "My master is the true leader of the Myrkur Aniol! He is governed by the true Fallen Angels!" "A name, girl. Tell me a name, and your death will be quick!" "The name of my master is...Abaddon!" "Well done," said Zuriel, and with a slight movement of his hand he snapped her neck, killing her. So...Abaddon was trying to return to the throne. If he thought Zuriel would go down without a fight, the he was gravely mistaken. ----------------------------------- Back at the temple, Zuriel was talking to a soldier about the readiness of the army. "The soldiers are ready to fight, sire, but I don't think we have enough experienced fighters to combat the Seraphic legions. They have some of the eldest and most experienced fighters in the entire clan. We cannot withstand an assault by them, let alone a full-on war with them." "I had hoped for better news, but thank you anyway. You are dismissed." The soldier walked away, but his place was taken by another soldier, this one wearing torn clothes and covered in blood. "What happened?" asked Zuriel. Medics ran to the soldier, and wrapped him in bandages as he spoke. "We were attacked by an unknown enemy, and he killed the rest of us. I was the only one who got away." "Did you see your attacker?" "Yes. He was huge, and had a long sword. That's pretty much all I saw of him." "Was he in the Krilat Zmaj? Or did he smell of the Myrkur Aniol?" "I didn't have time to smell, sire. I'm sorry." "Dammit!" shouted Zuriel, smashing his fist into the table in front of him. The shock of this sent the soldier into arrest, and he died before Zuriel's eyes. "I want this clan ready for battle by nightfall tomorrow!" he yelled.

(OOC: Never thought he would, Kayin) Lazarus jumped from treetop to treetop, looking for more of the heroes. If one was out in the forest, then it was likely he was not alone. Suddenly, a sharp pain shot through his head, causing him to grab his head with both hands, which in turn caused him to fall off the tree. He hit the ground with a thud, and stayed on the ground, clutching his head in pain. He had felt this pain before. It could only be caused by someone tapping into the darkness that provided his lifeblood. The Hero Of Death. She must be somewhere nearby. He calmed himself down, and drew on his power to sense where she was. She was close, no more than three hundred metres away. He would easily be able to find her. He moved closer to where the energy disturbance was situated, an found her. She was sitting on the ground, holding the darkness in one hand, toying with it. "I see you are proficient with your powers, Ziarre," he said, emerging from the shadows. She stood up, alert. "Who are you?" she asked. "I am one who shares your strength, Ziarre. I can help you to control your powers. You want to be able to do that, don't you, Ziarre?" "Yes," she replied weakly. "I can help you, if you help me. All I want you to do is capture your little friends, and bring them to me. If you do this, then I will grant you complete control over your powers. You'll never have those nightmares again." "I can help you," she said. Suddenly, Kayin, the Hero of Light, burst through the trees, and kicked Lazarus in the face, knocking him to the ground. "He's evil, Ziarre! Don't trust him!" Kayin shouted. "If you go with him, Ziarre, you'll never gain control! It's your choice. They don't trust you, Ziarre. Traitor's blood, you see. It runs through your veins, and they believe it will destroy them all. I trust you, Ziarre. I know what you have been going through. I went through the same thing!" "No, Ziarre," said Kayin, "It's not true! Don't listen to him!" (OOC: It's your choice, amgoddess)

Zack ran into the temple, trying to find Isabelle. There were demons inside the temple already. They were swarming the entire place, ready to kill. "Isabelle!" Zack shouted, trying to find her. He ran into her room. Demons were crowding the walls. A river of crimson washed over the floor. Zack drew his swords and fought his way into the room. He got in, and found Isabelle lying on the floor. The demons had killed her. She was untrained in her powers, and that had led to her death. Zack picked up her body, and roared with rage. His eyes began to crackle with electric power. He charged through the door, and out into the temple garden. "Her blood tasted good, Zack. Too bad I didn't get to drink it all," said a voice from behind Zack. He whirled around and saw his demon crouching behind him. "You killed her?" "Yes, and I laughed as I did it. I loved it. Her scream, the gushing blood. It was the most fun I've had in months. But look on the bright side, Zack. At least that's one less angel you have to find, and one less demon you have to deal with." "You monster!" shouted Zack, placing Isabelle's body on the floor. "You should know, Zack. I'm a part of you. I'm the part of you that pulled the wings off insects as a child. The part of you that laughs at other people's misfortunes." "You can't be a part of me. I'm not capable of taking a human life!" "Well, part of you must be, Zack." "No!" he shouted, his eyes blazing with electric fury. A huge ball of lightning grew in his hands. He thrust his hands out and shot the energy at his demon. If the demon died, so would he, but he was blinded with rage. The demon held his hand out and caught the lightning, but it was still attached to Zack's hand. The electricity turned purple, and Zack and his demon were drawn closer to each other. Their bodies touched, and there was a blinding flash. When the light cleared, there was only one being, dressed the same as Zack, but all the colours were just black, as were his eyes. He looked more worn-out than before, and had a strange tint in his eyes. Zack had somehow merged with his demon form, to become a more evil version of Zack. He had all the evil of his demon form, plus all the evil of his own form put together. He was a dark version of himself. (OOC: Isabelle's dead because amgoddess couldn't keep up. Sorry about this-it doesn't really affect the long-term storyline that much)

Lazarus ran through the forest, ready for a fight. His swords were ready on his back. They could be drawn at a moment's notice. The run didn't exhaust him at all, and his mind was set on battle. He had been training for the last 8 years for this moment. He would finally destroy the Heroes. He slowed his speed as he saw a flash of light move throught the forest. He stopped, turned and began to follow it. He focused on the target. Kayin. The name suddenly popped into Lazarus' head. The Hero of Light. An easy target. He chased the flash of light, catching up with it as the darkness flowing through his veins enhanced his speed greatly. The flash stopped, and it was replaced by a person. Lazarus drew one of his swords, and sliced through the tree Kayin was leaning on. It fell, and almost landed on top of him. "Who in the name of sweet Jesus are you?" he shouted. "I am Lazarus. Remember my face, as it is the last you will ever see, Kayin." "How do you know my name?" asked the Hero of Light. "I know so much more about you than that, Kayin. I know your weaknesses. You can be stopped by the dark, when there is no natural light. I can bring the night around much quicker than usual." He stretched his hands out, and strands of darkness floated from them, wrapping around Kayin's body, separating his body from the light it needed to produce his powers. "You will be the trophy of my first victory, Kayin," said Lazarus, floating his enshrouded body into the air. The Hero of Light was still struggling. He only prolonged his agony by struggling. They headed towards the Sanctuary, Lazarus ready for destruction.

"Zack," said Lyon as he caught Zack walking down the corridor, "Can I ask you a question?" "Sure thing, Lyon," replied Zack. "Why did you not let me practice with my power earlier? You let all the others use theirs." "The truth is, Lyon, I'm slightly afraid of what you can do. Water is the main element this planet is made up of, and if you get the balance of your power slightly wrong, then it could be disastrous. It could throw all the elements out of balance, and that could be cataclysmic. I'm sorry, but that's the truth." "I understand completely, Zack. I'm sorry to have wasted your time." "Not at all, Lyon. Glad to be of help." He went to his room and laid down on the bed. He was exhausted. This afternoon they could all help each other out. He would be there to help, but he couldn't do any of the work for them. "Nice little place you've put together here, Zack," said a voice from the window. Zack got up, and moved towards his weapons. "Oh no you don't, Zack," said the shadowy figure. It held it's hand out, and Zack's swords flew into it. Now he was unarmed. "You've been a thorn in my side for too long now, Zack. I will dispose of you and your friends very soon. But first, I am going to show them all the dark sides of their personalities. I am going to bring their demons to them, and you can't stop me." "Who are you?" said Zack. "Let's just say that without me, you wouldn't exist. Got it yet, little Zacky?" "Kelthor," Zack replied confidently. "In a single guess, Zack. Impressive. I am the one who brought you into being, and I am the one who will destroy you." "Not likely," said Zack. He threw a ball of electricity at Kelthor, but it simply hit his armour and dissipated, with no visible harm done to him. He laughed menacingly. "That's not going to work, Zack." He threw a ball of dark magical energy at Zack. It hit him, and threw him backwards, pinning him to the wall. "I could easily kill you now, Zack, but it is not your time." He let Zack down, and leapt out of the window, disappearing as he flew through the air. The atmosphere outside turned dark, foreboding. The demons were coming, and Zack and the others couldn't do anything to stop it.

Morning came around, and Zack got everyone up bright and early. They ate breakfast, trying to recover themselves, and then met up in the training area. "Morning everyone," said Zack, "Hope everyone slept well, except those who I know didn't!" He began walking up and down the row of people. "Today we're going to try and improve our control over our powers. Jun, you need to pay attention closely. We don't want any more rooms burnt down." He moved over to the training mats, and signalled for everyone else to do the same. They did, and he said: "Ok, first we need to see what you can do. Everyone just use your power as you have been using it." They did as he asked. Jun's flame burnt uncontrollably, Sam just about managed to control her powers, Isabelle's power was used expertly, but Lyon was the best. He controlled his power with expertise. He had been specially trained to do just that, though, so it wasn't a fair trial. "Ok, not bad," said Zack, "Now we're going to work on some fine control. You see that target over there?" he pointed to a target at the other end of the room, easily four hundred metres away, "Jun, you have to burn right through the bullseye. Don't hit any other part of it, though." It took a few tries, and about a dozen targets, but Jun managed it in the end. Even he couldn't help but seem pleased. "Well done, Jun!" shouted Zack as the flame shot from Jun's finger burnt right through the target. "Now, Isabelle. I want you to pick up one of the weapons from the weapon rack and bring it over to you, using your power." Isabelle concentrated hard on an axe on the weapon rack, and it juddered. A slight breeze blew around the room, and then the axe lifted up. It floated gracefully through the air and came to a rest in Isabelle's hand. "That's good. Now I want you to see if you can lift yourself up with wind. Concentrate on lifting your feet first, and then just keep your body upright. Go." She stared at her feet, concentrating until veins started popping out of her temples. Then she jolted into the air. Before she knew it, she was floating high above the others. She was so happy with herself that she couldn't stop herself from laughing out loud. She came back to earth with a slight bump. "Now, Sam, I want you press your hand down on the ground." She did what he asked. "Now I want you to concentrate on the ground, and find the life-force of a plant, then bring it up through the ground." She knelt on the floor for at least 10 minutes, with her eyes closed. When she stood up, and took her hand off the ground, a small flower had poked through the earth and sprung into bloom. "Well done, people! Good work," said Zack. "Um, Zack," said Sam politely, "Can we see you use your power? It might help inspire us." "Sure thing, Sam," replied Zack. He turned to one of the targets at the end of the room, pointed his finger at it, then shot a tiny bolt of electricity out of the tip of his finger. It flew through the air, and made a hole straight through the bullseye. Then, he jumped into the air, and began to fly around the room on a wave of electricity. When he came back to earth, the others cheered for him. He bowed, as if he had just performed some circus act. "Ok, lunchtime. After lunch you begin the search for your angels." They broke for lunch.

The year is 2010. Four years ago there was an event which changed the world forever. In the year 2006, a rift opened up between two universes. Unfortunately, one of them was ours. The other was a universe home to demons unimaginable to the mortal mind. No-one knows how it was opened, or why, but one thing we do know is that when it opened, beasts fouler than any in real life or popular fiction. Our world was invaded by demons. Not too many, but enough to keep humans in constant danger. The government of America formed an Agency to deal with the paranormal. They operate in secret, away from the prying eyes of the public, and the government clear up any messy operations they perform. This Agency is made up of super-powered humans, fallen angels, werewolves, and there is one weapon we have against the demons. The only half-demon ever to walk the earth. His human mother was raped by a demon, and gave birth to him. His name is Loki, and he is our main source of defence. Ok, well that's the basic outline of the story, and I have a vague idea of where its going to go, so hopefully some people will join. I will be playing Loki, and the directors of the Agency, and everyone else can sign up as super-powered humans. This is what the humans will need: Name: Age: Gender: Race: (human, fallen angel, werewolf) Appearance: Pic or description Personality: Bio: Weapons: Powers: (Only one or two, and no insta-kill please. Be sensible. Fallen Angels have the same powers as humans would, but they also have wings) Other: This is my sign-up: Name: Loki Age: Technically only 4, but he ages in demon years, so he is actually 105. Gender: Male Race: Half-Demon Appearance: About 6" 5' tall, pale skin, black spiky hair, electric-blue eyes, tiny nubs rather than proper horns, just on his hairline, lines going down his face, over his eyes and down his cheeks. He wears black combat trousers with black boots, and a black t-shirt with a black waist-length leather jacket, with a red symbol on the back. He has huge black feathered wings, which he can fold into his back and make them look almost inconspicuous. Personality: He has a great sense of humour, rather blackly comic, and he makes fun of everything he sees. He wishes, though, that he didn't have to look the way he does, as it tends to scare people away, even though he is very loving. Bio: His human mother was raped by one of the first and most powerful demons to come through the rift, and so he was conceived. His mother died as she gave birth to him three weeks later (demonic children develop a lot quicker than humans), and within a year he was fully grown. He was taken in at birth by the Agency, who needed to stop him falling into the wrong hands. If he had joined the side of darkness then he could have destroyed the world. He has trained his powers with the Agency, and now treats the directors, scientists and soldiers who work there as family. Weapons: Occasionally carries a flaming sword named the Gatekeeper, which can only be wielded by him. If anyone else tries to hold it, then it will crumble into ashes, and then return to Loki's hand. Powers: Flight (due to wings), telekinesis, electrokinesis (the ability to project and manipulate electricity). Other: Has a very short fuse, and it gets impressive when he gets angry Ok, that's about it. I will start the thread when I have about 5 or 6 people joined, but the sign-up will still be open. Happy creating!

Zuriel sat on the throne, listening to what his advisor had to say. "Well," said Zophiel, "You will need to pick a left and right hand. I suggest you pick a warrior as your left, and an advisor as your right, as your predecessor did." "Well, you will be my right hand, Zophiel. You are my most trusted advisor, and I hoped you always would be. As for my left, I believe I will choose Xaphan. He is a powerful warrior, and as loyal to Axosiel as was possible." "Excellent choices, sire. I will inform Xaphan right away," said the new right hand. Zuriel stood up, and walked to the door. He flung it open, and saw the darkness outside. Good, he thought, Now I can hunt. He exited the temple and moved onto the streets of Sydney. He wandered the darkness, looking for a victim. He saw an elderly man hobbling along. Too old. The blood would be weak, and it would not give him enough strength. He saw a young child walking with his mother. Not enough blood in there. He saw a group of young women walking down the street, dressed as if they were going to a party. Perfect. He took to the rooftops, stalking them as they moved through the streets. He got so close he could smell their blood, and hear it pumping around their bodies. It was intoxicating. He was drunk on the smell. Eventually, after the scent was too much to handle, he leapt down in front of them. They screamed, and he blocked their way. He opened his mouth, baring his fangs. They started to run. Perfect. He loved it when they ran. He chased them down the street, running along the walls of the buildings on either side. He leapt from one side of the street to the other, constantly changing to confuse them. He caught up with them, and jumped on one. She fell, and he clamped his jaw onto her neck, and drained her of her blood. Her body slumped lifelessly. The others ran faster, and he walked quickly, catching up with them easily. He sliced one across the throat with a fingernail, and then sucked the blood hungrily. The final one was running, and Zuriel didn't wish to run any more. He reached out with his telekinesis, and burst open her neck, the artery popping. Blood gushed from the wound, and Zuriel used his telekinesis to make the blood shoot from her neck into his mouth, even though they were at opposite ends of the street. He felt nourished as he dropped her corpse. He wiped the blood from his lips, and began the walk back to the temple. Something was following him. As he was moving closer to the temple, whatever it was leapt on him. He spun round and grabbed the culprit by the throat. "Who are you?" he asked. "None of your business," the girl replied. "I think you made it my business when you started stalking me, girl. Now tell me your name or I will rip you limb from limb. Don't think I'm joking." "I'm a vampire. That's all you need to know." He tightened his grip on her throat. "I need more. Do you forget my previous threat, girl?" "My name is..." (OOC: Any female character who wants a confrontation is welcome to post here)

Zack sat on the balcony of his room, legs dangling off the side, with his angel standing close by. He stared into the distance, deep in thought. "I'm never going to be able to do this, you know," he said, "They don't trust me. That's all I need, and I don't have it." "Well, if you want their trust, maybe you have to gain it," replied the angel. "But how am I supposed to do that?" "Well, if you show them how to control their powers, then they will have some trust in you. If they think that you're an enemy, then showing them how to become more powerful should prove that you're not. It didn't take you long to master your powers, and that Lyon character has as well. Maybe he can help you." "I guess so. I'll start in the morning. They still need to find their angels, though. They can start on that tomorrow as well." Suddenly, Sam burst into Zack's quarters, looking flustered. "Help, Zack! Jun's set his room on fire!" Zack sighed and got up. He ran to Jun's room, and saw the flames flickering around the room. "Where's Lyon?" he shouted, "We need him here! Sam, go and fetch him. Angel, can you fetch some buckets of water please." Sam ran to find Lyon, and the angel rushed away to get some water. Zack ran into the room, through the fire, and picked up Jun, who was lying on the floor. He hauled him into a fireman's lift and carried him out of the chamber. As he came out, Lyon and Sam came rushing from one direction, and the angel came from the other, carrying buckets of water. "Lyon! Can you put the fire out?" asked Zack. "Of course," said Lyon calmly. He reached out , and water flew from the buckets to his hands, where huge bubbles formed. He threw these at the fire, and they burst, putting the fires out. "Thank you," said Zack. "No problem," said Lyon. He walked off, back to his room. "I guess Jun is going to need a new room, then," said Zack, "Now go back to your bed, Sam, we have a big day ahead of us tomorrow."

"Dammit!" shouted Lazarus, his voice echoing round the cave. Another of his creations had failed, and as this one died, it would take a piece of his consciousness with it. Then it dawned on him. All the creations he had sent to destroy the heroes had failed. They were inferior. Now it was time to reveal himself. He would take the heroes on face-to-face. But wait. His creation was getting up, moving towards the heroes, who had their back turned. It jumped, drawing a dagger out of nowhere, and swinging it towards the heroes. Then, at the very last second, the Hero of Sound spun around and smashed the creation across the face with her hammer. It cracked the neck of the creation, killing it. It fell to the floor, and burst into its component dark droplets. A white light shone on the floor for a moment, then disappeared. That portion of Lazarus' consciousness had gone, and with it part of his sanity. He laughed maniacally, dark rings forming under his eyes. He grabbed his swords, put them in the sheaths on his back, and left the cave, heading towards the heroes. (OOC: Sorry it's so short. But Lazarus is coming for you!)

Zuriel sat in the throne room, in his throne on Axosiel's right side. He didn't feel right taking the true throne yet. He sat, thinking hard about Axosiel's choice. Why did he choose him over Belligeron? Belligeron would have made a far better leader. He had been a vampire and a member of the Myrkur Aniol far longer than Zuriel. He was the obvious choice to lead the clan. So why had he been chosen? Zuriel found something strange about it. Belligeron entered the throne room from his chamber. He and Zuriel acknowledged each other's presence. "Where is the Father? Where is Lord Axosiel?" asked Belligeron, "I wish to apologise for my actions earlier." "He is in his chamber. He is resting. You may want to come back later." "No. I must do it now." He walked slowly into Axosiel's chamber, his hands behind his back. Zuriel resumed his pondering. ------------------------- Belligeron moved towards Axosiel's bed, drawing the knife from behind his back. It glinted in the soft candlelight of Axosiel's chamber. He held the knife high above his head, and brought it down, straight into Axosiel's chest. Blood spilled out onto the sheets, and Belligeron struck again and again, mutilating his leader viciously. ---------------------------- Zuriel was pacing up and down the throne room, when he smelt blood. It was coming from Axosiel's chamber. The scent of it was strong, almost overpowering, and Zuriel ran into the room. He saw Belligeron standing over Axosiel, holding a curved knife dripping with blood. Axosiel lay dead on his bed. Belligeron lifted the knife to his lips, and licked every drop of blood off the blade. "Belligeron!" shouted Zuriel, drawing his swords. He ran towards Belligeron, delivered a slice to the kneecaps, dropping the senior vampire to the floor. Zuriel placed his swords on the traitor's neck, and drew them across, slicing his head clean off. He picked up Axosiel's body, and carried it into the throne room. "Axosiel is dead!" he cried, "Belligeron killed him!" "And where is Belligeron now?" asked a vampire standing in the middle of the floor. "He is also dead. I executed the traitor on the spot. He has killed Axosiel!" "Who will be our leader now?" "Axosiel appointed me leader of this clan before he was killed. He knew he was dying anyway, so he appointed me as his successor. We need a strong leader in this time of war, and I will be that leader!" A cheer rang out among the vampires. Zuriel was a popular member of the clan. And now he was leader. And he would be a great leader. He would lead the Myrkur Aniol to victory.

The group was back together just outside the diner, along with the newcomer. He said his name was Lyon. He was the water elemental. "Well, as you've just seen, its easy enough to find your demon, but the first step we must take is to find our angels. Mine can help you with this, but you need to believe in yourself in order to find them," said Zack, "Lyon, I'll fill you in on the way." "The way where?" asked Sam. "The way to the temple where my angel was hiding. Its not too far from here, but its going to take a minute to get there." Zack took a small black remote control out of his pocket and pressed a combination of buttons. The ground began to shake violently, and it cracked open, making a small opening, big enough for one person to get through at a time. It seemed to go nowhere, just being an empty black hole. "Jump in," said Zack. "No way," replied Jun, "We don't know where it goes." "Fine. I'll go first," said Zack. He folded his arms over his chest and jumped into the hole. His angel guided the rest of them in, and then jumped in himself, closing the gap behind him. They emerged in a huge underground temple, carved from stone. It had intricate carvings on the walls, and they seemed to glow whenever anyone moved near them. There seemed to be bright sunshine beaming in, even though they were surrounded on all sides by solid rock. "Welcome to the temple. It has a training area, individual chambers, a place to cook food. Basically, it has everything we need," said Zack, "Now, I found my angel here, and he tells me that there's a good chance that at least some of your angels are down here too. So getcomfortable for tonight, and we can find them in the morning. You can each pick which chamber you want. They're easy enough to find when you get in. See you in the morning."

Lazarus watched throught the eyes of his creation as it reached the heroes. He had the properties of another hero. He would fool the heroes into thinking he was one of them, and then he would strike. This creation was powerful, more powerful than any he had created before. The human-thing moved towards one of the heroes, and tapped him on the shoulder. He turned around, and greeted the human-thing's gaze. "Hi," said the creation, "Are you Kayin?" "Yeah, that's me," replied the hero. "Are you the Hero of Light?" "Um, yeah, that's me. Who's asking?" "I am James. I'm the Hero of Sound. I was told I was supposed to come here, but I can't find anyone else. Do you know where they might be?" "Uh, sure. Follow me," said the Hero of Light. He began walking, and the false Hero of Sound followed. Kayin took him all the way to Hiroshi, the Hero of Life. Anger welled up inside Lazarus. The Hero of Life. How he hated him. "Hi," said Hiroshi after Kayin said who the newcomer was, "I'm Hiroshi. And you are?" "I'm James, the Hero of Sound. I was told this is where i was supposed to come. Are you the Hero of Life?" "Yeah. Follow me, and I'll introduce you to the rest of the gang." He followed Hiroshi towards the rest of his targets. (OOC: Sorry, its a really bad post, but I needed to get him in the mix a little. If the person signed up as the Hero of Sound starts posting then I'll just edit this post)

"There's a dark wizard out there named Kelthor. He lived centuries ago, and was granted eternal life by the dark gods. He lives today, and he has separated the good and bad halves of all the elementals. But in doing this, he also released his good and bad halves. The good half unlocked the potential power inside each of us, allowing us to access our powers. The bad half is somewhere else. I'm not sure where." Zack was sitting in the wrecked diner, surrounded by the rest of the elementals, explaining their power. "Now, we had the potential power because we are all descendants of Kelthor, brought into life because of an illegitimate, heretic affair Kelthor had when he was young. He hates to be reminded of this, so he wishes to destroy us all. He separated our good and bad halves so we would be easier to destroy. The bad halves some of you have met, but the good halves are more elusive. They are totally non-violent, and prefer to stay hidden rather than come out into the open. They will not harm another living being. Our duty is to recapture the good and bad halves of ourselves and imprison them forever. Only then can we stop ourselves from dying." "Fine. So we find our other halves and kill them," said Jun. "Not as easy as that," said Zack, shaking his head, "If we kill either half of ourselves, or anyone else does, then we will die as well. A person cannot live without a good or bad side. That thing you saw earlier was my demon. This is my angel." As he said this, a beautiful figure floated gracefully through the window. He looked like Zack, except his hair was blond, and he wore a simple white hooded robe made of some sort of silky material. The other elementals gasped. "Greetings. I am Zack's angel. I am here to help you in a non-violent capacity. Your angels can grant you certain powers, defensive ones, to help you through the hard times ahead," he said in a silky smooth, soft voice, "You must find your angel, and they will reveal to you how to capture your two halves."

Zack stood facing the demons, both swords drawn. He could feel the others coming up behind him, but they were far away. He could tell they weren't going to get here before the battle started. He attempted to stall the demons. "Why do you insist on following me everywhere? If you kill me, you'll die too!" he said to his dark side. "I am merely observing your actions, so one day I will fight you. Perhaps in this life, perhaps in the afterlife, but I will fight you." "But why?" "Because it is our destiny to battle each other in a duel to the death. It is prophecised that we will fight, and only one of us will come out alive." "How? If one of us dies, both of us die!" "I know little about what is to come. All I know is that you are going to face a battle tonight! Go forth!" he shouted. The demons split, jumping at Zack from all directions. He moved into position, his swords ready in his hands. The first demon was close enough now. He swung his sword, slicing through the warm, soft flesh of the demon. He flipped backwards, kicking a demon behind him in the head. He landed and sliced the demon's head clean from its shoulders. They were going down easy enough, but they seemed to be multiplying. The more he killed, the more appeared to take their place. Very soon, there were literally hundreds of them. They swarmed all over the walls and floor, turning the entire view in front of Zack black with evil. Red eyes shone through the darkness like piercing pinpricks. He dropped his swords, and placed his hands together in front of his chest. He closed his eyes and lowered his head. Electricity sparked between his fingers, and grew. More and more sparks gathered, until there was a huge ball of lightning in his hand. He threw it towards the swarm of demons, and bolts of electricity arced out from the point of contact, destroying the demons swiftly. Each one dissolved like fluid as it died, bursting into tiny droplets of darkness which sank into the floor. As suddenly as they had appeared, they were gone. Instead of the darkness, there were two people. The Fire and Earth Elementals. He picked up his swords calmly, ignoring their astonished looks. "Hi. I'm Zack," he said perfectly calmly.

Zuriel stood in the main hall of the temple, next to the throne of Axosiel, the leader of the Myrkur Aniol clan. He was standing still as a rock as the scout in front of him explained the situation. "There are many clans converging towards Australia, my lord. So far we know of three. The Krilat Zmaj, of course, the Gwyar, and ourselves. The Gwyar are most likely to be swayed towards fighting Kuroichi, as they have a deep-seated hatred of him. We can possibly join forces with them against the Krilat Zmaj. They would be powerful allies." "Excellent," replied the Myrkur Aniol's aging leader, "How long until Kuroichi himself arrives?" "We do not know, sire. It is entirely possible that he is here now." With this comment, the vampire at the other side of Axosiel's throne strode forward and lopped the scout's head clean off with his sword. "We do not know whether the Silver-Haired Demon is here or not? This is unacceptable! We must find out his whereabouts!" "Belligeron!" boomed Axosiel, standing up suddenly, "I will not allow this insolence in my clan! Return to my left side!" Beliigeron returned humbly. Axosiel sat down, and started coughing violently. Zuriel ran to his right hand side, and helped the leader ease himself back into his throne. "Leave this chamber now!" Zuriel cried, "The leader needs his rest!" The assorted vampires in the chamber fled, scurrying out of the many doors in the walls of the chamber. "Zuriel, my child," said Axosiel weakly, "I am not long for this Afterlife, I feel. I will die within the week. I can no longer lead this clan to my full potential. I need you to take my place." "Me? But Belligeron is a much higher rank than me! Surely he would be your first option!" "Ah, yes, but Belligeron is headstrong. He suits the position of Clan War Chief much better. You, however, are my successor. you must take the throne. I will announce this to the rest of the clan in the morning. For now I must rest. Take me to my chamber, Zuriel." Zuriel carried the elderly vampire to his chamber, hardly believing that he, who was once a street urchin in China, was to become the leader of a vampire Clan! He was truly blessed by the Blood Gods. ------------------- Belligeron sat in his chamber, fuming. He would not be downsized by their leader! Axosiel had no right to do that to him. It is every vampire's right to claim a kill. He picked up a particularly sharp, curved knife, and ran it against his thumb. It drew blood with the first press into his flesh. He hid the knife in the folds of his cloak. He needed to find any vampires in the clan unloyal to Axosiel. There would be an uprising. He would kill Axosiel and take the throne himself. And it would happen before the week was out.

Zack fell to his knees and groaned. Pain shot through his head like fire. This could mean only one thing. Two elementals had met. He closed his eyes, and it felt like he was being rushed to where they were. They were seated in a diner, just off main street. There was another there as well, but she was not with the other two. Fire, Earth and Wind. He needed to be there. He broke into a run as he headed towards the diner. He sped up, reaching full speed some three minutes after he had started. He was running through the town, taking shortcuts through back-alleys, and reached the street with the diner on it. He could see the diner. He was almost there. Something smashed into his side suddenly, throwing him through the large glass window on the front of the diner. He landed on the table the Wind elemental was sitting at. She looked shocked as this man landed on her table, with broken glass strewn around the floor and table. "I'm sorry," he said as he got up. He looked out of the window, and saw his demon standing in the street, cloaked in darkness, surrounded by other, less powerful demons. "Zack! Come out here and fight me like a man!" the demon shouted. Zack turned to the people seated in the diner, and said: "Listen. I know there are three people in here who can help me. One with the power of Wind, one with the power of Earth and one with the power of Fire. I need your help. You know who you are." And with that he turned and jumped out of the diner towards his demon, drawing his swords.
