Tala stood alone on the edge of a rocky outcropping. Wind whipped the loose fabric of her black dress around her body as she stared outward. The view was so hauntingly familiar, and at the same time, completely different. The trees, the mountain she stood on, the hills below her, they were all in the same places. But the grass was a different color, the trees grew oddly, and even the rock she stood on was colored differently, carrying a blue tint. All a startling reminder that no matter how close it got, this wasn't home. She tore her vision away from the world and sank down into a sitting position, burying her head in her arms. Mentally she tried to push away what she was sure were the beginnings of insanity. A large eagle flew over her, landing gracefully next to her. Why are you here? he asked, cocking his head to one side and communicating with her mentally. You're sad when you come here, why? She glanced at him. I feel so alone and depressed. We will always be here for you, he replied, talking about all of his kind. But then why do you come here? There was a place like this in my world, one I used to go to to relax myself. I think I can do that here, too, but everytime I come, I'm suddenly struck by how different it is...Talking to him was helping her momentary wave of depression pass, and she stood up. "Come, let's go," she said aloud. The golden bird launched himself into the air, growing to enormous proportions before circling around and flying up to her. She leaped lightly onto his back, and they soared off, swooping through the air. Someone new is here, he told her. She glanced down, her sharp yellow eyes picking out the shapes of humans. A few things had changed about her in her long stay in the dream world, her eyesight was one of them. She also caught sight of one of the inhabitants of the dream world. Let's follow them. Her curiousity was aroused. But let's not get involved, not yet.

hmmm...that's odd. can't say i remember you. ^^ no...wait...grrr...this is driving me crazy...your name does seem sorta familiar, although that could be just b/c you mentioned it... i think too much personally, i'd prefer to play the normal human character, and i can definitely say you've got my imagination running wild now.

hey, sounds pretty cool. then again, i am a sucker for alternate time lines/realities, whatever you want to call it. ^^ so this is supposed to take place in the present time? well, far as i go, i'm interested. nice to see where it would go.

can i join?? here's my idea - Name ~ Shakuntala, usually known as Tala Age ~ Appears about 17 Appearance ~ Human. A loose, ankle length black dress, tied at the waist with a golden sash. An intricate design trims the bottom of her dress and the hems of ¾ length sleeves. On closer look, birds of all shape and size dance across a golden background. Her hair is tied in a loose pony tail, feathers mingling with the light brown strands. Her eyes are an odd golden color. She is rarely seen without some sort of bird close by. Other ~ Not much is known about her, except that one day, she somehow came to be in the dreamworld, and now wanders about, without purpose or aim. She tends to have a quiet personality, but when she feels strongly about something will have her say. Her closest friends seem to be the birds that live there, and she can communicate with them. I have kinda of that same problem. My parents are very religious (especially my mom). when pokemon was big, my mom called it "the devil's playground." my dad isn't as bad, although i don't think i'd be able to get something like yu-gi-oh or inuyasha past him. basically, it's the magic thing, although my mom does have a problem when there's too much violence. (it's b/c of my dad i've gotten to see movies like the mummy, star wars, lord of the rings, etc. most of which my mom doesn't know we have!) so, for me, the easiest thing is to just keep it a secret. although that doesn't exactly fall under the catagory easy. it also means i rarely ever get to see shows eps of inuyasha and yu-gi-oh (i've only seen two eps of inuyasha, but the other day me and my bro bought the first movie, yay!, and it's currently stashed in my backpack) although, my mom has seen some of my drawings while digging through my stuff, and had this rant about how wierd i'm drawing people, with big eyes and all that. i just made sure she never saw them again... i guess you could say this isn't exactly on topic, just my rant about my parents and how my like sucks. :( i can't say i can think of an anime that would fall under my parents good side. there doesn't have to be christianity in the show, more on the side of no magical/mystical stuff (you shou'da heard my mom when the lord of the rings movies came out and were big, and my family wonders why i listen to my headphones all the time!) and not TOO much blood and gore. basically excessively gorey scenes, i myself have a personal limit. and i consider my parents VERY religious, so something along those lines, (if it can be found) should also. also, without any bad portrayals of christianity. me, i'm hooked on yu-gi-oh and inuyasha and couldn't live without them. so i'm just stuck with my own little secret life that my parents hopefully never find out, although sometimes i wonder how much longer it'll last... p.s. man, this is a huge post...can't believe i typed that much!
