Yeah, that commercial's been airing forever. God, I hate big tobacco companies... --Chris

In the FUNi dubs, he calls Android 8 "Eighter". Though I don't exactly know why FUNi settled for that name... --Chris

Regardless, she brings up good points. Look at Ginny's thread. Members were relentlessly bashing each other's religions while Ginny was trying to get some support. Members here have been way too disrespectful as of late, and it's getting kind of annoying. Maybe Harry was lieing. But what if he wasn't? The chance to help that kid is gone. --Chris

I didn't say it was. I just said it's a possibility. Maybe I'm right, maybe I'm wrong. I dunno, but that's my theory. ...and with my luck, it's probably wrong -_- --Chris

No, if I remember correctly, going Mystic overrides all SSJ transformations, so there wouldn't be stages of it. The closest Gohan could come would be holding his power back during battle. --Chris

Who said it was a plot hole? What probably happened was Dr. Flappe made the first 8 as sort of prototypes that were somewhat flawed(you'll remember 8, unlike the others, had a conscience right from the start) and Dr. Gero, several years later, found the plans and continued constructing them from 9 to 20. --Chris

A little more detail from ya. It's a level which Gohan (and only Gohan) achieved during the Buu Saga after a power-up from the Old Kai. This level essentially overrides the Super Saiya-Jin transformation, but is incredibly strong, working by tapping the person's latent powers (which may have been why Gohan, known for having a well-hidden power, got so strong afterwards) and allowing them to use them to the full potential. Hope that helps. --Chris
Originally posted by Medra It has yet to make it here down South. Damn Yanks and their shipping. -_-
Oof, missed this last time, so I couldn't tell ya. I've got it, and I'm in Georgia, so maybe you're looking in the wrong spot. --Chris

The first half of the series sets up major plot points for the last half of the series. In all honesty, they have to show it. --Chris
-
Let's also not forget that they've only dubbed and scheduled for release the last half of the series. Geez...you'd think they'd start at the beginning, wouldn't ya? --Chris

Um...I really don't get "high" in any form. Sugar and caffeine have no effect on me, and I never really feel a strong urge to sleep until about 3 in the morning (though I usually force myself to sleep earlier). --Chris

Happy B-Day Kurt! We miss ya! *walks off humming Heartshaped Box* --Chris

Haven't seen the video, but I've heard "All The Things She Said" (or is it he...?). Pretty nice, but I'm not big into that type of music. It's bearable though. --Chris

I was angry. I mean, she was my healer! All that Gil I wasted trying to make her strong enough to keep up with the big dogs, and she left?! Grrr! --Chris

Ladies and Gentlemen, at the end of the Android Saga, Trunks was still Ultra Super Saiya-Jin. Yes, he died. Maybe he was strong enough to trigger Super Saiya-Jin 2. But he did not. When he went back and fought the Androids and Cell, he was confident and calm, and did not have an emotional outburst needed to first trigger the SSJ2 transformation. Without a trigger to set off the power, he couldn't have used it. So, plain and simple, Mirai no Trunks being SSJ2? No --Chris

First off, Deus, couldn't have said it better myself. Second, ChibiV, I believe everyone does that at some point in his or her life. It's just a natural part of human nature. --Chris
-
Well, the Trunks in the movie, Mirai No Trunks or Future Trunks is from a timeline in which Goku and the others died, and he was trained by Gohan. He was also fathered by a Vegeta who may not have been as strong as the one that fathered the current Trunks. The Trunks shown in the Android Saga and Buu Saga, known as Chibi Trunks or Young Trunks, is from a different timeline. Since there are 3 timelines, changes to the Chibi Trunks' status do not affect Mirai no Trunks' status. Since Chibi Trunks was trained by his father under different conditions, he was able to reach Super Saiya-Jin faster then Mirai no Trunks was. So, to answer your question, it's because they are two different Trunks'. Hope that helps. --Chris

I got it for Christmas, and I'm still working on Disc 1. God, this is a long game... --Chris

Well, I just want to say I'm really glad to say there are still some happy people here on OB ^_^ As for the rest of ya, we're here to help. --Chris
-
My feeling is, when I'm around people that feel bad, I feel bad because I can't help them, so I do what I can. I also know I did something similar to this last year, and I believed it really helped a lot of the members, so I'm hoping for a similar result. --Chris
-
Well, I spend about 40-60 hours, depending on if the game is reeeeeally good and has lots of mini games, side quests, etc. --Chris

While sitting here, sifting through the hundreds of posts on OB, I have noticed a trend has yet again shown itself. Apparently several of the members are at this time dealing with depression in some way or the other (stress, loss of loved ones, etc.). You may remember I did this last year, and since the case is identical in many ways, I'm going to do this again in hopes of achieving the same results. I want everyone to know that, despite how bad things seem, there is hope at the other end. Whatever has you down, this will eventually make you stronger. Pain and suffering hurt very much and sometimes seem like they are all you experience, but they exist to teach you about you lives and who you are deep down. Sometimes, you're going to lose people you hold dear, and sometimes you're going to hurt them very badly in the midst of everything that has happened (though not always intentionally...trust me, I speak from experience). You are all good people deep down, and bad things happen to good people, but I know that something good will eventually come out of everything that has happened to you. Best of luck to all with your problems. I'm here if you ever need to talk. --Chris
