I saw it on Action Channel several months ago. It's pretty good, though not one of the best. The plot was good, the animation was great, and the premise was awesome, but it still kinda felt like it was lacking something. --J.C.

"Bulma, Trunks...I do this for you. And yes, even for you...Kakkarot." --Vegeta, just before his suicide attack on Buu "There it is Frieza, the last of my energy. Now leave this place...and never threaten another life again." --Goku, after seemingly defeating Freiza on Namek "You may control my mind, but there is one thing a Saiyan never loses...HIS PRIDE!!!" --Vegeta, refusing Bibidi as he demanded Vegeta kill Supreme Kai rather than fight Goku Still more to come... --J.C.

Yes, but...he'd have to trick Frieza into it. Frieza was way faster than him. If he'd used it, Frieza would have just shot behind him and punched a hole in his gut. Ya gotta keep these things in mind...

"I am the Prince of all Saiyans once again!!!" --Vegeta, after revealing his new status as a Super Saiyan "Last chance for request! Do you want me to go Super Saiyan, or should I take it to the next level?!" --Gohan, during his match with Kivito. --J.C.

Probably because they couldn't keep up with the series. Geez, FUNi is crazy. --J.C.

Anime AAKK!!! Hasn't ANYONE wanted to talk about VHD an' Bloodlust!?!?
JCBaggee replied to Sarasan's topic in Otaku Central
Actually, I did start a thread a few months ago, when I picked up "Bloodlust". The thread died though... Anyhoo, I love VHD, though I don't own it yet. I saw it on CN when it aired in 1993, and it was the first anime I ever saw. (Come to think of it, I need to remember to look for that one tomorrow when I'm in town). And I picked up Bloodlust a few months ago, remembering how good VHD was, and all the good things I'd heard about it. And they were all true. God, what an awesome movie that is. --J.C. -
In Oelivert, equip your weakest weapons. The weaker your weapon, the more damage you cause in the castle. I know, it's odd, but it's true. You'll find said weapons (Mage Masher, etc.) scattered around the castle in treasure boxes.

"What is this?! A prayer before you die?" --Cell "Shut up! Shut up!! Shut UP! Did you forget?! I sold my soul to Babidi! I have a Saiyan heart which relies on strength alone!" "Liar! You can talk all you want Vegeta, but you'd better convince yourself first!" --Vegeta and Goku, respectively More when I think of them... --J.C.

Hmm...FF7 is pretty easy. FF9 is made for beginners and younger players, in my opinion. As for myself, I started with FF8 (which many have probably seen me ranting about repeatedly here). It's more of a medium, and looks nicer than 7 or 9 (before you argue that 9 has better graphics...I prefer the not deformed charachters, so don't flame me!). --J.C.
Originally posted by Valen Yes, and only use a tent on your character in an emergency, for if the snake bites... Poison, Blind, and I think Silence occurs.
It's the "Poison/Darkness/Blind Snake". It will cause all the aforementioned status affects, unless the enemy is guarded against them. Of course, if you miss, the enemy will be fully healed, so only use it in the beginning of battle. Also, have Quina eat a Beheamoth and learn "Mighty Guard", which casts Protect and Shell on your entire party. It's a short effect, but well worth it. --J.C.

The fact that they're animated really kills it for me. I feel...wrong...trying to judge a line drawing. But that's just me ;) --J.C.

Anime Cartoon Network Line-Ups...and anime on television announcements
JCBaggee replied to Syk3's topic in Otaku Central
Hey, I've never actually seen Mobile Suit Gundam. Anything I need to know before I watch Char's Counterattack? --J.C. -
Actually, I remember several times when it showed the audience, and they would comment that they were moving so fast they could hardly see them. That, and the fact that they wouldn't use their full power in a tournament (Two reasons why: 1-It would be a waste, and just showing off, which goes against most of the Z Fighter's teachings 2-Greater chance of destroying nearby property/people) sorta make this not a fault. --J.C.

Anime One possible reason that Goku couldn't life up the bus
JCBaggee replied to SS5 Gogeta's topic in Otaku Central
Yeah, but he didn't have those on at the time, did he? I seem to remember him and Piccolo were both wearing more casual attire. Definantly just comic relief. --J.C. -
I heard "Bother" on the Spider-Man Soundtrack (though it's listed as being performed by Corey Taylor, not Stone Sour). It's pretty good, but I'll wait to hear more of their stuff before I decide on buying a CD. --J.C.

Well, it could always be another translation error. Who knows? Well, as always, it's Toriyama, and he ain't talking, so the speculation here is as close as we're probably going to get. --J.C.

My cousin got me "Xenogears" for Christmas... ...this game is friggin' awesome. Anyone else played it? --J.C.

JCBaggee replied to Syk3's topic in Otaku Central
Yeah, 'cuz we need more Dragon Ball, right  --J.C. -
PS1 is going for under $50 and FF7 is probably about $10. Get your parents to loan you the money. If that doesn't work, try the Granparents. --J.C.
-
First off, that game is probably about $10 now for the PC, so why risk a fine if you get caught with a burned copy? Second, it sounds like one of the files is conflicting with another program and/or driver you use in windows. I'm not sure how to help you, other than take up donations to buy a legal copy. --J.C.

Hey, where was Yu Yu Hakusho last Saturday? I mean, I'm glad for an extra Inu Yasha, but surely they haven't removed YYH entirely. --J.C. -
Saw it today at Electronics Boutique. The graphics looked a little unpolished, the action looked interesting, and the charachter variety was (surprisingly) halfway decent. Now I just need a PS2... :( --J.C.
-
Well, maybe it's because Goku got to keep his body? He was on a Kai's planet at the time, so they may have just restored his life, but left him up there to be returned at the Kai's discretion. --J.C.
Originally posted by PiroMunkie Anyone who feels the need to be someone else online should really take that into some better use, and get into drama. There is quote from one of my friends that goes something like, "I got into drama because I know that when I am up on stage, I can pretend I'm someone else." I am sure those are not the exact words, but the next time she gets online I shall get the right words from her profile, and edit this post. It is a rather profound thought in my opinion, knowing the person she is. [edit] The exact quote: "My life revolves around the theater, because for those few brief moments when I'm on stage, I get to be somebody else."
Ah, a kindred spirit. That's one of the many reasons I've done acting in High School...for that breif moment, I'm someone else, and I'm the center of attention. It's a whole lot easier to get someone to notice you, and I've met some wonderful people too. Ah, to live life int he spotlight... --J.C.

I dunno. I mean, I'm myself on the boards, and in real life, but there are subtle differences. I mean, honestly, my name is not J.C. Baggee...I just don't want to throw my real name out to the masses. J.C. Baggee is the guy on OtakuBoards who posts alot, screws up a bit more, and runs a website that he advertises for more than he can. In real life, I'm Chris, a guy who screws up a lot, talks a lot to his friends, and does fairly well in school. Bottom line is, BabyGirl couldn't have said it better. I'm me. To hell with anyone who disagrees. --J.C.
