They just want you to be more excited so you'll watch them all when they finally do come on...

So...they were holding there breath...while they were talking? --J.C.

Or, another classic dubbing mistake... --J.C.

Yeah, it was pretty sad. After "Final Atonement", they aired everything from the Other World Tournament to Atonement three or four times...then started from the beginning of DBZ!
-
Hey, stop complaining. Over here things stopped at "Final Atonement" for about a year. We just got new ones this week! --J.C.

Geez...Tree of Might was reaaally sad. It was predictable, pointless, and I still don't see why Yamcha had to get p.o.'d over his little air car. The man can fly! Why does he need a car?!

Anime Something that has been bothering me
JCBaggee replied to Impact Player's topic in Otaku Central
This is straight from my website, and I hope it's right... "ABOUT SAIYAN TAILS Throughout series This one has been a big subject lately at www.otakuboards.com so I decided that makes it a little worthy. Here's info about the tails... GOKU'S TAIL--Originally, Kame pulled his tail out towards the end of DRAGON BALL. However, one of the Kai's returned it while Goku was in Other World so he could acheive SS L4. VEGETA'S TAIL--Was cut off by Yajirobi at the end of the Saiyan Saga. However, even though it was not pulled out by the roots, it never grew back naturally. He had Bulma help him using an invention to grow it back. GOHAN'S TAIL--Was never actually permanently removed...I think. It was cut off twice, however, during the Saiyan Saga (Gohan transformed twice while training with Piccolo) and once during the movie Tree of Might. GOTEN AND TRUNK'S LACK OF A TAIL--This one has been a HUGE topic of debate. While Gohan was a Human-Saiyan hybrid, he did have a tail. However, even though Trunks and Goten are of the same geneology, they never have tails in the series! A little speculation... 1) They never had tails. They just inherited a different gene than Gohan did. 2) They have tails, but they were removed. This brings up one other point, though. If that is true, who removed Goten's? Vegeta, knowing the danger Trunks would pose to his family, would probably have removed it at birth. However the only person still alive to know about tails was Gohan, but he never remembers what happens when he transforms! Here are a few theories on Gotens. a) Goten was never born with a tail to begin with. It is possible for one to have a tail and one not have a tail. b) Piccolo, Vegeta, Krillin, etc. came by and noticed the tail and removed it. c) Gohan remembered having his cut off and couldn't remember why, but decided to have it removed just to be safe. d) It was removed during one of the trips to Bulma's house (Goten mentions these trips in the episode The Newest Super Saiyan)" Okay, okay, lots of speculation, I know... There's more at my site, but you can go there if you want it...this post is already long enough and probably has too many errors to count... --J.C. -
DBZ first...no one really cares much about GT, so save it for last...or do it first and give them a reason to come back.. AHHHHHH!!! --J.C. Thanx to whoever put that bomb in my mouth...
Originally posted by Semjaza Azazel Does anyone remember this weird NES show... They had this one mean kid talk before and after the show, he would usually give a free game out to someone at the end. It eventually turned into this really weird game show. Anyway, inbetween him was a cartoon. It was kind of like Captain N, but I don't think it actually was. It has Simon Belmont, this red circle guy name Qix and I think Pit from Kid Icarus. I can barely remember it, but maybe someone knows what I am talking about.
Yes! And he had the control pad for a belt buckle and the "Zapper" for a weapon! I think Mega Man was somewhere in there...God, he was awful on that show. His Buster Cannon was this little slot on his arm, not the awesome full-hand gun it is in the game. --J.C.

I've only seen it once, and Spike's looks closest... ah, well, at least I have an inkling now...

If you're like me and you've been having some problems getting into your User CP, here's the solution I just figured out... 1) Scroll to the bottom of the main page and click the "Private Messages" link. 2) This takes you to the PM section of the User Control Panel. From there on, everything else should work. --J.C.

Will someone please tell me what the text in the background of the opening credits is?! It's something about the background story of the series, and it's been bugging me for weeks!!! Thanx! --J.C.

FUNi may hack up DBZ eps so they can air them on CN, but that's all I've got, so I'll live with it. Also, the new eps are supposed to begin airing on Sept. 3 with Evil Lives On, but they may change the date, seeing as how they would be two thirds through the Frieza Saga at that point.

I'm starting to wonder if that whole "only within it's creators power" thing is a big misunderstanding. If it's true, why did they bother asking the Dragon to resurrect anyone when they could just have Kame do it?

Celebrity Big Brother? Wha...? When was that?

Thanx for the help! BTW, I tried 50megs.com yesterday, and, well...it was embarressing. But I'll try some of the others! --JC

Will someone PLEASE tell me where I can host a banner for free??!! I'm unemployed, so I can't pay for an upgraded account with remote linking, and I can't find anywhere that'll do it for free!!! Thanx! --JC

Yeah, it was real easy. I got to the end of the game without leveling up on the side or remodeling weapons, but the downside is I didn't have enough HP to survive that Sonic Shockwave Pulsar attack...oh well, I beat it anyway, so what does it matter...

Let's see here... My three strongest points... 1) Humor--I've been known to laugh at insults aimed at me 2) Very mellow--The only people who make me mad anymore are my parents and my sister. 3) Caring--I prefer "Hero Complex". I have an uncannily strong desire to help people, and I really, sincerely, care about protecting everyone at any cost. Weakest... 1) "Hero Complex"--AT the same time, this is a problem because I usually wind up blind to the consequences of my actions. 2) Attitude--I tend to be an ***hole...I don't mean to, really! 3) Language--I can cuss out a sailor and make a porn star blush...

Oh, but she's working! She's doing voices for that "Tom and Thumbelina" movie! ...someone please give her a decent role. She looks great, I like to see her, and I hate her music...it's just too poppy...

Oh man...just to see Mr. T acting alongside Brad Pitt would be worth $8...ah, that's funny...

No, literally, just saw it...like 30 minutes ago. Must say, impressive. The plot was a little confusing at times, and I'm sure I lost something in the dub process(I taped it off of Action Channel last night), but still, a very deep, emotional anime, and I'd recommend it for anyone... --JC
Originally posted by PiroMunkie Really? Cause it was incredibly easy for me. I just told my mom (my dad didn't care at all) and she didn't have too much to say about it. I still get dragged to church whenever we go (once or twice a month), it's tolerable I suppose. The main reason I still have to go is because my little sister will think that since I don't go, she shouldn't have to. I still don't know why she couldn't just make my sister go and leave me in peace, but oh well. Different stroke for different folks.
Yes, but your parents were obviously very leniant and supportful of your choice, believing you were responsible enough to make your own decision. But, when your parents are against it, it becomes a whole different story. Not all of us are in a situation where we can rely entirely on ourselves. I'm 17, live in the middle of nowhere, am unemployed, and can't drive until my parents put me on the insurance. I'm pretty much stranded. Panny's problem appears to be that if she does go through with this, her mother will spend the rest of the time trying to push her back, probably due to that religions beliefs...the Christian belief of "Bring others to God" is, for some reason, usually pushed to the extreme, though I've yet to figure out why, when it says to spread peace and harmony, not bug the crap out of everyone until they cave in and spend the entire sermon angry and don't hear a word.. --JC
