Boy, I am going to get flamed for this one... Does anyone else get the feeling that this whole 9/11 attack has made us a little too paranoid? Everyone is accusing everyone and their mom of using the attacks as a scheme to make money. Here's what made me think of this. For quite some time, 80's toons have been back in the "cool cliques". Nearly a year after the attacks, Cartoon Network brings back G.I. Joe, presumably keeping with the 80's resurgance. However, I have heard lots of people claiming that this is just another attempt to prey on peoples reborn "thirst" for patriotism. This is just ridiculous. I agree, this was, and still is, a tragedy, but accusing everyone of trying to make money off of it is just as annoying as the people who really are. Is this my beef to keep G.I. Joe on the air(which I'm sure I will be accused of at some point...)? No...G.I. Joe is an average 80's toon that CN brought back to get some ratings. I do believe if they were using it to get ratings off of patriotism, than they surely would have put it on at a better time than 1:00AM. The bottom line is this: everyone needs to just chill out. What happened, happened, and accusing everyone is going to make people feel any better. All we can do now is trudge on, with our spirits high, and show them that they can't better us. But bickering amongst ourselves over who's trying to get rich off of tragedy really isn't helping. --JC

I used to read them a lot, but now there's no where nearby for me to get them, though I usually find myself picking up a Wizard just to catch up...

Greetings fellow Christians! JCBaggee, reporting for worship! ...Or something like that...

Uh...no...just misread it...hey, don't knock me when it comes to FF8, I've got that game down! Seriously though, I though he had said he'd found a sign with the items you need, but I 'twas incorrect. Sorry for the inconvienance. --JC

That item that can resurrect you from K.O. is only good as long as it doesn't mess with the plot. Most RPG hero's will carry a sword or some form of long bladed weapon. The romantic envolvements will almost always hate each other at first, but grow on each other as they continue to slaughter the nasties...

Boy, there's a bunch of these in RPG's... --Night usually lasts 30 seconds, and it is never night until you arrive in a town. --No matter what, there is always a stronger weapon. --...Gee, that's really all I've got for right now...I'll put more in when I think of them...

This is her beliefs. What she feels, stands for, and cares about. This will be one of many ordeals that shapes who she is in the future! I've been there before..."Easy as that" is a crock of horse...well, you get the picture... --JC

No, all weapons show up once you have the correct items to make it...but where did you see something about making the Lionheart? Think I missed that during my go-round...

Well...uh...while backing up and trying to avoid my great-grandmother's car, I kinda...uh...hit the house... Anyhoo, I eventually got my license last week after Driver's Ed. (where I met a great geeky friend and a girl who I'll be dating once we can get past this 30 mile stretch of road between us), but my parents have put off putting me on the insurance until they can get every possible discount, so I'm kinda grounded for the moment. --JC
Originally posted by AnimeLover If I could be anyone on the boards, huh. Well, me of course! I mean, who wouldn't want to be me...live in North Dakota....in the USA....have awesome writing skills...be loved by everyone...why not?:)
Ya know, I used to live in North Dakota...I think that's more of your problem then you think. --JC -
Hey, another point...I was just at the official site and it said nothing about it...so how did this guy find out?
-
Man...who's going to stay up until 1:30 to watch G.I. Joe...I liked it when I was a kid, but it's just not worth it nowadays...

Hey! I have an AngelFire site, and it's not crappy! GT stands for Grand Tour, didn't someone just say that in another thread?
-
Uh...don't trust that. If you scroll down, you'll notice it has a link to the now defunct Planet Namek...if he was updating regularly, he'd hopefully be keeping tabs on Planet Namek and notice it was closed...

I'd have to be Sephiroth...he's got the best avatars, the best banners, and I'd be the only person besides him to get near his precious Sushi! HA HA HA HA HA!!! And, hey, why doesn't anyone want to be me? Geez, what gratitude... ;) ...just kidding about that last part folks... --JC -
Nope...can't justly explain the first, so just buy it...it's only 10 bucks at Wal-Mart.

For those who have complained about missing Cowboy Bebop due to the past two weeks of Yu-Yu Hakusho marathons...you're missing a great show by passing up YYH. But! You can rejoice! Cartoon Network will make it up with a three hour marathon of Cowboy Bebop Saturday night, as they continue to stray from the usual Adult Swim line-up, probably trying to keep fans happy until the next batch of episodes get ready (uh...CB excluded, since the entire series has already been aired). The commercial tags it as showing the "best Cowboy episodes around", so personally I'd get ready to see "Ballad of the Fallen Angels", "Jupitar Jazz, Pts. 1 and 2", "Real Folk Blues, Pts. 1 and 2", and either "Sympathy for the Devil" or, since it's the pilot episode, "Asteroid Blues". --JC

Two Diablos strategies from the FFVIII guide writer that is JCBaggee... --Draw, Cast Demi with one member. --The rest of the party should attack and use magic or abilities or summon GF's. If you're very, very confident, try this...but BE CAREFUL!! --Use a party of Zell, Squall, and Selphie. --Let Diablos attack everyone until they are at critical, then use Zell's Limit, Squall's Limit, then keep pressing circle on Selphie's limit until she casts either Full Cure to heal everyone. Repeat until Diablos is defeated, but BE CAREFUL! He'll hit you while you're critical, most likely killing you instantly! NOTE--If you're level is fairly low, you may be able to cast Selphie's Limit The End to automatically end the battle. PM me if you need anymore help with this wonderful game, and have fun! --JC

Wizard's good, but keep in mind that they like to joke around a lot. They played a HUGE role in the fake Sentry promotion 2 years ago, so be careful.
-
Let us also keep in mind that Goku, being a Saiyan, it theoretically tougher than the others, even Piccolo, and could have been the only one who could handle the strain.

I saw a pic of Colin Farrel as Bullseye on Entertainment Tonight and it's pretty cool. He's got a shave head and a scar shaped like a bullseye on his forehead, much cooler than his comic costume. As for the X-Men costumes, black leather looks way better on screen than yellow spandex, and it made that crack on board the Blackbird was funny, so it's well worth it.

Anime Which anime would look best as a live action movie?
JCBaggee replied to Juu's topic in Otaku Central
Cowboy Bebop's my pick...I even cooked up my dream cast a few months ago...check 'em out... Spike-->Vincent Ventresca (The Invisible Man) As Darien Fawkes on Sci-Fi's The Invisible Man, Ventresca played a cool as heck slacker with big hair who could turn invisible. Just like Spike...uh, 'cept for the whole invisibility thing. Jet-->Jack Nicholson (Batman, Wolf) I don't know why, but Jack Nicholson comes to mind...probably because he's such an older actor. Faye-->Stacy Keebler (WWE) Faye's biggest asset is her legs, IMO. And Stacy...well, you get my drift ;) Ed-->Brittany Murphy(Don't Say A Word) Again, I don't know why, she just comes to mind. Julia and Vicious are the two I can't figure out, but that's my two cents. --JC -
Cartoon Network is just trying to get a lot more people to watch the wonderfully spectacularly hilarious anime that is Yu-Yu Hakusho, as well as try to help fans and late-comers catch up with how the whole mess got started. Also, Cowboy Bebop won't be back this week. It's another three hours of YYH...geez, I wish I wasn't going to Florida now! CB will probably be back in the next 1 or 2 weeks, 3 at the most. --JC.

Crap! What are they going to do with the re-runs they're showing? I don't think they'll get through with the Frieza Saga by Sept. 3...anyone know if they're going to double up on eps? And are there going to be new Dragon Ball eps too?
