Tori -- I will personally jump out of a cake for you. In a G-String. A frilly, leopard print, G-String.

Oh, christ, you so have to have a little girl. I demand pictures of you and yoru child with pink hair. --Chris
Just speaking from my own perspective I can say the best time I've ever had on this site was writing Black Horizon with Corey, Annie and the others who were involved in that project.
Heh, I IM'd Annie a while back. She...didn't remember me. >_> Glad to see so many people still around, and I am trying to get back. Its just hard to swing back in after being gone so long, especially with my bajillion other websites and projects that I'm working on. --Chris
I still try to come visit once in a while! I like the OB still, but the longness of posts in every single thread (which is great, because we always strived [strove? I have no idea, lol] for quality posts) is so daunting and I can't ever get myself to read everything! I popped in here to give an announcement, and I guess this thread is as good as any: I'm having a baby!

Eh, the Ruby Tuesday I worked for just recently started serving quiche that's pretty tasty. You could always track down one of them and snag you one. Other than that, I could find you one on Google, but no guarantee it'd be good. --Chris

I watched this show ages during the first season, over at my ex's house. I'm hoping to still snag the series somehow, but I did really enjoy it. I'm hoping to grab the books too, since they've gotten really good reviews. --Chris

So I've been poking around this "Otakupedia" today and I've seen a lot of people that I've not seen or heard from in ages. So, I was posting this to see how many of the old guard are still around? What have you guys been up to? Favorite moments? This is more of a catch up and see where everyone is thread. I, myself, have not been around regularly since 2003-ish, despite the occasional post and attempts at regularly returning. Anybody else in the same boat? --Chris

More boyfriend/girlfriend advice wanted
JCBaggee replied to Roxie Faye's topic in General Discussion
I can assure you all, Roxie is anything but a lesbian. It sounds like yer in the same boat I'm in dear. A lot of loneliness coupled with your own insecurities and the fact that all the people around you are idiots. Or, in my case, drug addled, alcohol chugging idiots. --Chris -
I actually joined OB back when I was a Sophomore in High School, some 5 or 6 years ago. A lot of stuff happened along the way that keeps me from being around/posting on the forum, but I do check back every so often and see what's going on. Granted, I don't think anyone I knew back then is still around, save for a handful of posters. --Chris
I was putting up my dishes a few minutes ago when I found a box of this stuff. I don't know what it is (I'm guessing my old roommate brought it home after a TDY and didn't take it when he moved out), but I can tell it's Japanese from the writing. If any of you guys know, please, fill me in. I'm guessing its still good because the bottom of the can says '080216'. Just tried it...nothing bad, tastes like a cold cup of coffee, which is kinda bleh. But I'll admit, it's a kick in the *** after working out. Any info is still appreciated, I've got about 20 more cans....
Hey Prophet, I googled Georgia Original Coffee and came up with this... http://chinmusicpress.com/books/kuhaku/literature/coffee/cans/georgia_original.html I'd wager its an older can design of that brand. --Chris

Eh, I'm sure I'll see it, but I'm not really sure about looking forward to it. Honestly, Die Hard 4(.0, Live Free, Hardest, whatever)...its not really a neccessary movie. We didn't need a four-quel. But considering Die Hard 1-3 are both really good movies, I'll give it a shot. That, and a Keven Smith cameo. Honestly, the man is in everything lately... --Chris

An excellent genre film. I'm not really a fan of horror movies, but a friend of mine loaned me 28 Days Later about a week before we saw this flick, and I lurve 'em both. Any idea how long it'll be until 28 Months Later? Based on the positive buzz surrounding this one, I'd say its a safe bet we're gonna get it. --Chris

Oooooh, Hawaii. Will we get hula skirt piccys? Congrats on the big win dear.

"Truth be told, before the crew took out all the wirework and CGI'd in the crowd, Jesus' walking on water was less impressive then you're led to believe."

We already got one Wolverine movie though! ...it was called X-Men >_> *canned laughter* I'm not sure how I feel about a Wolverine prequel. It may be halfway decent, depending on who's behind it. Ratner did a really good X-Men action flick, there was just absolutly no plot behind it. Well, not a good one anyways. --Chris

I recently *ahem* acquired this album, and I have to say, its really good stuff. The singer's voice works really well with the style of music they use, but honestly, he should go back to the 'hawk. Just my $0.02. --Chris

God YES. UHF is one of the single greatest movies ever, solely due to its obscenely ridiculous humor.
The Poker Tourney midget? Spraying the kdis off the horse with the Firehose?
And of course, Weird Al's hilarious and mostly one-of-a-kind daydream sequences. And what's more, isn't the DVD one of those el cheapo $5.99 ones? That's just one more reason to buy it! Sure, the special features are probably nill and the quality isn't that great, but its cheap and its hilarious. Highly recommended. --Chris Added spoilers. -Clurr

Yeah, I'm going to have to agree with you. The only American Idol winner to actually go anywhere with their career is Kelly Clarkson, and part of me fears she's nearing the end of her 15 minutes. All the other winnres have all but disappeared. Hell, Taylor Hicks' album came out a few weeks ago, and its already tanked. Just goes to show that when America votes, Idols get screwed. --Chris

I've been saying for years how much I enjoyed "Reservoir Dogs"! But to be honest, the more fun ride was probably Pulp Fiction. Nothing beats a movie with Samuel L. Jackson, but its gets extra credit for that jerri curl. Kill Bill Vol. 1 was fun to watch, and Vol. 2 had some good plot. Now if only Tarantino would do like he was saying way back when and release both movies on one disc, without all the editing he had to do for the MPAA. --Chris

I think he sounds just like Shinedown. Now, mind you, that's not neccessarily a bad thing...I happen to enjoy Shinedown. And Mr. Daughtry did do a very good rendition of "I Dare You" (that was the one, right?) during American Idol. But I hope the rest of the CD doesn't sound exactly like him... --Chris

Guys, seriously, best song this week? The tune for that Pepto Bismol Max commercial with all the monsters. Poor Lumberjack Monster Guy V_V --Chris

Yeah, when you're over far enough you seemingly disappear and don't know you've made it until the next scene kicks in. The problem is that you're so small in the whole thing that you can never really tell where you are. --Chris
There's this one spot in the game that I honestly have no idea how I got past it the first time, and would really like to be able to figure out how on my second go.
The escape from the desert prison

Hey Nashville, don't feel bad, it gave me some trouble the first time around too.
Just keep heading up the stairs. If you answered all the questions while being tortured truthfully and honestly, you can talk to the three moogles in the torture room and they'll remove three of the small doors blocking your path directly to the stairs. Everywhere else, you'll have to run around the full circle to the steps and head up. Don't forget to stop and talk to the prisoners, most of them will play Triple Triad with you, and one even has an upgrade to your Party Info screen if you can beat him. Once you get to the platform where the prison starts to go back underground, just keep tilting the analog stick towards t he rest of the party and you'll get past it no problem. As long as you don't stop or attempt to double back, its a piece of cake.
Hope that helps ya out man!! --Chris; scary because that's from memory...

I'm not very good at coming up with a witty answer to this question. Also, math and thinking ahead. --Chris

Yeah, they announced this some time ago. I only recently got into them, but I have to say I enjoy their stuff. All I'm saying is, "The Legend of Zelda", man. --Chris
