Yeah, the whole organic webshotters thing did kinda tick me off, but they worked pretty well, so no biggie. For the record, my journalism teacher (a bigger geek than me!) told me that they did that because the audience wouldn't buy a kid being able to make such a complex device. Of course, it's just a polymer string shooting device in the comics, and I think a kid could have come up with that, but Raimi's decision, not mine.

Not based on the comics?! The Goblin's fate was ripped right out of the pages, and every comic geek knows that! I'm a huge comic geek and a huge Spidey fan...the movie was great, and surpassed my every expectation! The best news, for those who liked it? Tobey and Kirsten have been signed on to do Spider-Man 2 and 3! And with the origin out of the way... we can get rollin'!

Evil Buu destroyed? Ha! Getting back on topic, though, this whole DBZ representation thing is getting way out of hand. It's people jumping to conclusions like this that got prayer taken out of schools and the Ten Commandments removed from a courthouse in Tennesee last week. If these idiots screw around anymore, DBZ is gonna be gone too. Bottom line? It's all puns...Toriyama is not trying to make you see Satan, Nazi's, or little pink bunny rabbits.

Faye from Cowboy Bebop...mmmmmmmmm -
Someone at the Bebop Board, a part of Easy Come, Easy Go: A website about Faye Valenitine pointed out some interesting similarites, hinting that Session #6; "Sympathy for the Devil" is foreshadowing Session #26; "The Real Folk Blues, Pt.2"! Check these out, but be warned of spoilers --At the end of Session 6, the young boy tells Spike he feels heavy, which Spike says he doesn't understand. At the end of Session 26, the end tagline is "You're gonna carry that weight..." --During both sessions, Spike has a small gunshot wound on the same cheek. Coincidentally, Vicious has one on the opposite cheek in s #26. --At the end of both sessions, Spike points at an object and says "Bang". --The scenes between Spike, Faye, and Jet in Session #26 are very similar to those in Session #6. (Also, note that Ed was convienantly absent from the Bebop...) --JCBaggee

Actually, the GBA game may be the best! It's in the same vein as the original "Legend of Zelda" as far as looks go, and the storyline mirrors the series very closely!

Here we go... DBZ-Third Reich Super Saiyans are representative of Hitler's ultimate race, the Aryans. Mr. Satan is representative of Jews, which is why everyone chanting "Satan, Satan..." while he appears is not a coincidence. DBZ is the tool of Satan Kame is representative of Heaven and God, Garlic Jr. and the Dead Zone represent Satan and Hell. If you pronounce Satan sans "T", it sounds like "Saiyan"(not true, since the original pronunciations is "Saiya-Jin"). And they're all fake!

Yep. "Dragon Ball Z: Collectible Card Game". I dunno, it might actually be pretty cool.

There's going to be 2 games for GBA and 1 game for PS2, X-Box, Gamecube, and PC. They're going to be a sort of RPG/Action/Fighting game, with multiplayer functions in the work so they're can be some sort of Martial Arts Tournament game.
-
I think if we aren't careful, you're gonna unintentionally create more theories like the "DBZ-Third Reich" and "DBZ is a tool of Satan" theory.
Originally posted by BlueGender I also believe that Piccolo may have had some previous knowledge because he was Guardian of earth. Also Piccolo kind of Fused with Nail, and Kami but purmenatally instead of temporary.
The Namek Fusion technique is totally different, since it is permanent and requires no special apparatus to fuse. Goten and Trunks' fusion didn't require an apparatus to fuse, but they could only fuse for 30 minutes. Goku and Vegeta's fusion was supposed to be permanent, but they required an appartus(the earrings) to fuse. SPOILER! For the record, they were able to unfuse because the physics inside of Buu are different...at least, that's what I read.

FUNi is still making cash from Japan and they've got money to spare...they might just stop making Anime, which messes us all up! -

First off, PS 1 is the PSX, only smaller. No difference, just a more convienant travel size. Second, the PS1/PSX is not popular because no one wants to play on graphics lesser than what we have, which is really a shame. There's still a fairly large market for classic games, as recent re-releases of Super Mario Bros.(as Super Mario Deluxe) has proven, despite what level the graphics are. Plus, they don't want anything with a less than in depth storyline, which really can't be accounted for. The simple problem: the gamers today are getting younger and younger, and they don't know what classic is. I'm only 17, but I do believe I prefer the original Nintendo over some of the crap that's out today.

Yeah, the cut versions are pretty lame. Can't wait until I get some cash so I can actually watch the uncut eps! -

Not sure about going L4, but I do know you need the tail and the SS4 transformation to turn into an Ougon Oozaru...jeez, I hope that's true and not just a rumor, 'cuz I'll feel like an idiot if it's not!

God, I just wish reality tv would end. It's just a bad fad waiting to die...kinda like disco. ;)

I didn't actually come to the boards until Version 3.0..but this new one is the best in my opinion! And I really like this "Post Reply" box at the bottom of the page. Handy!

U.S. has the first 5 movies, VHS eps up to "A Hero's Farewell", "History of Trunks" special, and "Bardock's Story" special, as well as Dragon Ball eps up to Goku's defeat of General White.

Where are you shopping for them? If you're shopping somewhere like Wal-Mart or K-Mart, that's your problem. Go to a store like Best Buy or Suncoast, basically any store that doesn't edit there CD's will have unedited DBZ movies and eps.

A little tidbit about the leveling thing in FFVIII... Apparently, the level of enemies is not based on your entire parties level, but only on Squalls. Thus, the easiest way to beat the game is to KO Squall on Disc 1 and keep him that way. Now, I'm not that big a risk-taker, so I can't say this is true and you should take this with several grains of salt. However, if anyone can verify it, please do.
