Originally posted by Shinobi1827 It's odd how all the non-saiyan villains don't wear pants till buu?
Uhm...Ginyu Squad wore pants, Dabura wore pants, the Androids wore pants...not really a valid point ^_~ Back to the topic, this is another example of bad dubbing on FUNi's part. The gender bending voice of Frieza had me confused for years 0_o. --Chris

Hey, Kakarot and Goku are equally cool ^_^ And, yes, Vegeta slips up a couple times towards the end and says Goku...in the FUNi dub. Don't know about the original Japanese, but its possible (when Vegeta started to become truly good, he came more to terms with the Earth race, and thusly Goku's name). --Chris

Kakkarot is Goku's original Saiya-Jin name. Vegeta still sees Goku as a Saiya-Jin, so he refuses to call him by the name of an "inferior" race. --Chris

Ah, I get to speak of my theater "career"...or something. 4th Grade -- "The Inside Pitch" I was Randy, the...uhm...lead, I think. 9th Grade -- "You Can't Take It With You" I was Mac, or Guy 2. Very small part, only 2 lines. 11th Grade -- "The Great Pandemonium" I was Jarred Nusthorp, a director of a high school play who's slowly going insane. "Little Women" Mr. March, the proud papa! 12th Grade -- "Last Stop 'til Christmas" I played Gray suit in this...horrible play. "Snow White & The Seven DWarves" I was the mirror! Awesome role that let me show my vocal talent. "Toys 'R' Alive" Millionaire Mike, the James Bond knock-off action figure. (Don't knock it, I got thisclose to a really cute friend of mine ^_^) Pending -- "And Then There Were None..." Wargrave! I finally get to play a bad guy! Well, that's about it. Oh, and best of luck with your part, Original. --Chris

Actually, after seeing
Spike leave the X-Men to join the Morlocks in the wake of his uncontrollable mutation
, I kinda wonder if Spike is meant to be an amalgamation of Marrow and Maggot, both new X-Men who pretty much disappeared after the "The Twelve" storyarc (I saw Maggot because I don't see much Celia Reyes in him, and they had to get his culture/backgroundf from of the two, powers from Marrow to create the character). --Chris

The official DVD release of "X2: X-Men United" is set as November 25, with a retail price of around $29.95. What, too much? Well, then, check out these screenshots of the special features menus. This is just a glimpse of things on the DVD, and its looking like it will be HUGE. --Chris

You speak of DivX, which was Circuit City's idea. They would play a couple times, then frost over and never work again. The problem, if I remember correctly, was they cost as much as a regular DVD! Disney's will cost a buck or two. --Chris EDIT I just saw the story on the news again. The DVD's last for 48 hours, and cost $6.99. A bit pricy for something that only lasts two days, IMO.

I'm not sure this actually works, as I've never tried it, but you could do the cheap Duplication trick. Equip any Saluble item, go to the Long Library, and sell the item that's equipped. Supposedly this will set your inventory to 99 of the equipped item. --Chris

Well, I do remember the good ol' days, when you wound up humming the music to the songs after you'd seen it, a trend that seems to have ended with "Pocahontas" (for me, at least). I don't mind the format of Toy Story (second on my list of favorite animated/CGI films ever), as it seemed sorta fitting. For some reason, I can't imagine Woody and Buzz doing a duet... --Chris

In some states today, Disney is going to begin testing their new "Self Destructing DVDs". The plan is for these movies to be sold at chain stores and restaurants for a very low price. After being exposed to air, the DVD is only functional for a few days, after which the DVD will no longer play. The hope of this is to lower costs of rental movies. So, what do you guys think? --Chris

Whoever your healer is, Junction GF Leviathan to them so they can use his Recover ability, which completly restores HP. During the Final Stage of the battle,
be sure to draw the spell from Ultimecia's lower half. This is the 'Apocalypse' spell she uses against you, and makes the last part of the battle go considerably fast
. And before the battle, make sure you've gone to The Island Closest To Hell/Heaven to get the best spells in the game. --Chris

90s show was still not comic book continuity. If he did, I won't be surprised, but I don't remember it being mentioned. When Cap would have been fighting, I believe he was undergoing Weapon X treatments. --Chris

Wasn't too impressed by the movie, but loooooved the books as a kid! --Chris

Evolution is interesting and fun to watch, despite the descrepancies between series and comic. There are nice little things thrown into the series for the hardcore fans, though. One episode which kicked off the Apocalypse storyline fetaured a mission with X-Men Cyclops, Jean Greay, and Beast, new student Iceman, and following ally Angel (the original 5 X-Men in the comics). If i have one complaint though, its the changes in costumes and character designs. I hate how Apocalypse looks in the series, resembling an Egyptian. It just doesn't feel right. --Chris

The Aura/Lionheart strategy is BS. Consider this:
Your characters are randomly selected, and only replaced with others when they die, which is rather risky. The chances of getting Squall are not 100%
. I managed to defeat the final boss several times without LionHeart, and rarely using Aura. --Chris

FF8 receives a bad rep for all the things mentioned above. There's other things, too. As mentioned, the weapons system made upgrading a bit difficult. Junctioning was infinitly more complex than the Materia system fans had come to love. And the card game was a bit confusing. I've also heard people say they hate the story, because it revolves around the theme of love. But, if you know me, you know I love FF8. Upgrading weapons, to me, was great because in addition to getting a stronger weapon, getting the materials meant I would have to fight, which means you ultimatly leveled up. Junctioning is, in my opinion, better than Materia. The Materia system was too simple, too fast, too easy, in my opinion, Junctioning allows me to completely customize all my characters in a way that is the most effeciant for all matters in all aspects, unlike Materia which could affect one aspect positivly and another negativly with the same Materia orb. And the card game was (and is) a lot of fun once you get the hang of it. Its also an easier means of getting the rarer items in the game you need for everyones strongest weapons (i.e.: the Malboro Tentacles for Quistis' 'Save The Queen' whip). As for the story, I am and always will be a hopeless romantic, and in addition to that I can relate to Squall in some tiny way. It was nice and kind of comforting to watch someone as disconnected and alone as him find a group of friends and a women he loved, and
the final cutscene, with him crying, followed shortly by him smiling at the end
made the game's story complete and intriguing. But that's my opinion. I respect what you all think about the game, but personally, I simply loved it.

You have to remember the Movies Rule : all movies take place outside of series continuity. Just because it happened in one of the movies doesn't make it actual history, and doesn't mean it happened (though Dead Zone is, for some reason, the exception). --Chris

Ah, yes, the infamous final episode. The first time I saw it, I had only been watching for the last few weeks and had no clue how long the series was, so you can imagine I was a bit confused to see
the main character dead on the floor at the end
. Having seen the rest of the series though, I'm kinda glad it ended like that. It was a fitting end for
Spike, who had mentioned in several episodes that he was basically dead already
. --Chris

The show was great, but should have ended much earlier. By the time he got married, 'Boy' just seemed kinda redundant. --Chris

The closest your going to come to Ki energy in real life, IMO, is a serious adrenaline rush. It just seems like trying to push energy out of your body would result in some form of physical harm. 'course, it's still a cool concept... --Chris

How can you even say this? If you're gonna do that, then Piccolo and Majin Buu are the same. They can both regenerate and absorb (fuse) with others. Several people have similarites in the show, but the personality and use of the power is what makes them different. There is no way Cell would ever be good. --Chris

Yes. He's an actor who, as far as I can tell, cant' get work these days. In fact, I can't think of anything he was in that was real big. You can usually catch his movies running on Action! Channel. --Chris

He could have been using it for years, and may actually be older than Frieza, stealing younger, more powerful bodies as he goes along. Just a thought... --Chris
