ef- is simply blowing me away. I agree with Daggers previous post about it being minimally animated, but I honestly don't care! The stylizations(Example: Stained glass, faded color in Ep. 7)have been done so well thru out the series so far that it does not matter how little it moves, only how much of an emotional impact it has on you. Its kinda like watching a really good book :D So are their any thoughts yet on how the stories are going to end? Will Renji and Chihiro have a happy ending like the story is supposed to? Will Kei or Miyako win over the contested manga-ka? Myself,
I'm hoping for an ending akin to a bad higurashi arc! Ok, not that evil
, but this doesn't have the feel of a show where everyone is happy at the end.

Shingetsutan Tsukihime has the best opener I've heard in a very long time, title is The Sacred Moon. Sounds like a choir w/ a piano thrown in...very pleasing to the ears.

I watched the OVA on a whim and enjoyed the rori aspects of it. Did some hunting around and found the manga. Enjoyed it for the plot depth to my great surprise and delight. Currently keeping up with the anime impatiently, both the aired versions and the DVD versions. The TV stations censoring the anime is a major drag, but I imagine I will deal with it seen as how I have the patience of a...yeah, something that isn't very patient. side note - Kuro kicks ***!

I wouldnt mind living in the world of Fruits Basket, or being a Sohma cursed by the zodiac. i would just have to remember to stay away from Akito... meow! I currently think one of the more interesting worlds that i could possibly be in is 'The World.' Ya know, all of the .hack// stuff :) play a game 24/7, or something like that. look for the key. find out what makes Aura tick, if she does actually do so. runners up: Outlaw star, RoD, Bleach, Suzumiya Haruhi, Rozen maiden, Negima...forgot the others

Anime Recommended Anime of the Week ^-^

I reccomend Higurashi no Naku Koro ni (When the Cicada's Cry) for those who like a mind trip. The first three episodes certainly freaked me out quite a bit. It'll keep ya thinking 'WTH is goin on here?' the entire time. Not for the easily nightmare enduced population :D -
I like the triple audio idea, but if it took away from the overall quality of the dub, then i would rather not have it. i try to watch all of my shows dubbed and subbed, and going from Japanese to English on some of them is rather painful. My next goal: learn some Japanese! Ive been meaning to for a while now. A random though that came to me - fandubs? I dont think it would take flight, but it could be amusing.

something that has been increasingly bothering me recently is the use of proper english, say Mr., Ms., and that such, in situations that dont even apply in real life. take DNAngel, for example. the 'Ms. Harada' said over and over is really overkill. So, i have a question for everyone: should the companies that copyright the shows start dubbing shows and keeping the honorifics (san, chan, kun, bozu, ect...) and put explinations for them somewhere on the packaging or in the DvD (extras, subtitles, other place?), or leave it how it has been since we started the whole dubbing business? Feedback appriciated :)

Milly and Meryl were both so engrossed with their food, neither one of them notice the black shadow to their left staring at them...until it was too late.

Anime an anime you were embarassed to say that you actually liked?
Twilight_Kioku replied to nomad19's topic in Otaku Central
its not exactly that im embarassed about it, its just that i dont really like to show Puni Puni Poami to people because of its WTF factor. for those of you who have seen it, you know exactly what im talkin about. -
Kyo: you say i did it, i say wheres the evidence? Uo: You happen to be the only one ive seen who can draw so crappily Kyo: *fuming rage* they really need to make a second season of fruits basket. i would buy it in a heartbeat!

the fact that this post exists once again is proof enough to me that their is far too much of what was once just a neat RPG. if i remember correctly, the show was a spinoff of it. then they threw in morals and ruined the whole thing :(

i love chobits, but i never remember crying while watching it. other shows i defitedly shed a tear over...Elfen Lied, Haibane Renmei, Gunslinger Girls(if ya think about it), Fruits Basket, FMA... probably some of the .hack// stuff, but its been so long, i dont remember :p. oh, Saikano, how could i forget that one myself, i think animated shows are better at portraying emotions that live actors, which is probably why i dont get very sentimental towards them. i just shiver, like im perminantly cold, or something.

Anime Name an anime that you can watch over and over
Twilight_Kioku replied to meka2003's topic in Otaku Central
gonna have to go with Fruits Basket on this one. seems like i get something new out of it every time. one of those 'feel good' shows :) as for just plain funny, i say FLCL. the random senseless violence is funny, the way haruko acts is funny. its just funny! yes, i have Fliktonic Kipple Waver Syndrome, why do u ask? -
as for being brought back, from what i gather, there making an actual MMORPG out of it! can anyone out there say 'woot!'?
