1. Making it to year nine... at my current school. I've been in so much dirt this year, aswell as last year. Those have been the only years I've been at this school, and I've been covered in more of a shadow in those two years, than I probably ever will be for the rest of my life. It's a wonder I haven't moved yet. My parents have put in numerous applications for other schools, boarding schools, any school that has a stricter reputation than my current school, and every time they've re-decided their decision. Luck? ....feh. That's my greatest achievement to date, when I think about it. On the other hand, I have another achievement that could hang up here with this one.... I suppose saving up five grand is a good accomplishment. Very nice.

Maroon 5

They've recently become really big here. Their new single "Harder To Breathe" is something in the top five chart hits at the moment. That single was the first I had ever heard of them, and ever since I did, I was searching all over the place for the name of it, as I didn't know it. Though now, as I've heard a bit of their other music, I don't think I can like them as much as I thought of them. "Harder To Breathe" has a rock sound to it, though more calm, if you know what I mean, and I really tend to follow that.
3. When I was small, I would always watch a wrestling program that my dad would watch every Sunday night. Something like the WCW shows. Anyway, the next day I still had an image of Goldberge spearing Sting... I think. Yeah... well I found my brother outside playing in the scrub, and I just flat-out speared him from behind. Snapped his arm in two places. ....not as bad as when I hit him in the back of the head with an axe. Think that was from all the wrestling I'd been watching with dad, aswell. :drunk:

Curfew?

My parents don't really enforce a curfew for me, though they would like me to be home before eleven, if possible. Usually when I do go out, I'm out alot later than that, though they will still let me go out. If I intend to go out that late for seven days in a row, well I'm "thinking the wrong way". They would never let me go out after around nine before, though now I'm fourteen, and they've actually seen that I want to do things that I want to, they usually let me.

P.o.d.

All their songs on the album "Satellite" are similar in type. Every one of them has good lyrics, vocals. The music is actually quite good aswell. Yet if you are thinking all their songs are different, you're wrong. Most of their music is similar, though if you look around enough there is music of their's that's really good, and different aswell. They have great music under their name. Since I've only only heard one other album, not even sure if it was released or not, my opinion is very basic. Though I've heard alot of their music, and they are a really good band. I like them. Ever since I heard their hit "Alive" for the first time, I've followed them. They're a great band, that have awesome music. That's my say. Thanks for reading. :drunk:
6. I was into the craze a long time ago, when I was in sixth grade, going into seventh. It was the "cool" thing to do, so of course, everyone tried to get into the craze. That's why I started. It was mainly collecting the cards, trading them, and that. The GameBoy games weren't that popular. Now if you're seen walking around with a Pokémon card, or even a GameBoy, you're an idiot. A loser. Though it's very rare to see someone now-days walking around school, that's into Pokémon. It's dead here. Not a word about it can be said unless you're looking for a new face to wear. Sad for some, but I'm well over it. I actually used to see the whole craze thing as stupid. That was last year. It was just a passing phase if you ask me. And I think the cartoon is also taking the whole Pokémon thing way to far. How long has it been going on for now? Three years? Four? I see that as way too long.
7. I actually used to like a bit of country music.. I would listen to the Top 50 Country Countdown on 2DU every sunday night when I went to bed, there was some good music. I couldn't listen to country all day though, or as my choice of music. There's a few good songs here and there, and I don't mind hearing them out. Tim McGraw is one name that rings a bell.
8. Games on calculators? If I knew anything about this, I wouldn't be doing as much work at school as I am now-days... Of course, the calculator I have couldn't have games on it, I don't think.. What I'm going to have to do, is save up for a calculator that can have these games... then I won't look so supiscious in class, when I'm trying to play the games on my mobile-phone. :drunk:
9. Flying would be a great power, especially if I could fly at extremely high speeds. I could actually leave home one minute before school started, and still be there on time... sweet. Aswell as having a fantastic view of the environment below me while I fly, I could travel from country to country, across the world even, without an aircraft... hmm.
10. We have a "Founder's Day", that apparently celebrates the day the school was founded... or something like that. Anyway, we either come to school in anything other than our school uniform, or don't come at all. Considering you have to also put in a gold coin donation to wear other clothes... :drunk:
11. Metallica, and System Of A Down are my favourite bands, out of the list you provided. They're quite good actually. Slipknot, Mudvayne, Korn, and the like, are different to me. I've heard them before, and quite a few of their songs sounded really good, though I don't tend to follow them alot. In case you're interested, try checking out Staind, Sevendust, and Nirvana, their music is great. Especially if you like the hard rock type of music, in which I assume you do from the list. :)
12. I use lengths to describe people and their traits. :D Like... "this ugly", and put my arms out showing how long. ...and theres "this stupid", again, putting my arms out to show how long. Not really something I say, more or less something I do. Though I do say "swamprat" to insult someone... quite a good word sometimes.
13. Tormented has the same type of music, if not heavier, though I don't think it was a good album from them. Dysfunction was much better.
14. Fall

Sickness

I get colds and the flu in summer, more than I do in winter... :drunk: I haven't had a cold yet this winter, and this year's winter was over a month ago. It's going into summer now, and I bet you any money, I get a cold the first day of summer...or the flu. I don't get hay-fever, either.
15. Pink Floyd have some great music, they're one of the few older bands I like. "Comfortably Numb", which I first heard of Pink Floyd, is my favourite song from them as of yet. I haven't heard all of Pink Floyd's music, though that, aswell as "Shine On Your Crazy Diamond", are too great songs I'll always like. "Another Brick In The Wall 1/2" are also great songs. I'm sure there is more music that I'd like they would have around, I'm going to have to find it. They're a great band.
16. Rap is seen as the "best" music around here in school. You see kids with headphones and ask them what they're listening too, they say "In Da Club" or "Without Me". You don't hear any of them saying any kind of rock, if even sort of. It's just not cool for us kids to listen to rock. Listen to rap and hip-hop and all that.... stuff, and we're cool. Because the "rapper singers" are cool. Listen to a rock band, and you're an *******, because no-one has ever heard of the band. That's the way it is. Rap is cool, because the artists are apparently cool. You don't get the lead singer of Metallica going down the street wearing the big baggy t-shirt, loose jeans, and the diamond necklace. That's what's cool in fashion. That's why rap is cool. I tend to notice that all the "rockers" I know, know alot more rock artists that I like, aswell as knowing the main rap artists. All the "rappers" I know, don't have the greatest idea of how an electric guitar sounds. I'm not trying to be offensive at all, I'm describing what it's like around here. Please don't take offense to my post. Don't get me wrong, I like a few rap songs here and there, that "Superman" by Eminem is pretty good, though I wouldn't listen to it if I had a choice of that and some rock. No way.
17.
Originally posted by Geist Metal List Staind
You're looking down the right track. You know how you get these bands that have no music what-so-ever, except for the radio hits, you hear ten times a day? And then there's these bands that you hear of, and you've never heard a song from them in your life. Staind is both, though they're not... They have a few radio hits, such as "Outside" and "It's Been A While", though they're not like the normal radio hits; they don't get annoying after a while. These two songs are awesome, if you ask me. They also have the back-scene music, the music the people who listen to nothing but the radio don't hear. "Yesterday", "Mudshovel", "For You"... great songs, solid. If you have a look at alot of their music, you'll notice that they don't have alot of the happy-up-and-around music. All their music has meaning. Listen to their lyrics, then comply it with their music, and you'll know what I'm talking about. "Zoe Jane", "Blow Away"... listen to those. Lyrics and music go together perfectly. They don't do the "truly hard solid clash bang metal" music. They have "metal" in them, though you'll have to look a few of their songs to hear it. Their music is awesome, though. I could go on. If you haven't noticed, I love Staind, they're my favourite band, on top of all others, have been for a long while, and will be for a long time. ...how many "awesome's" did I use in there...?... :drunk:
18. I sing... I sing all the time. Just not aloud, so no-one can hear it. I sing it in my head. I tend to do this in the shower aswell. When I feel like that day is gooing to be a good day. If I think it's going to be a bad day, or a "sadness/emotional day", I do sing, though usually emotional songs... I like emotional songs anyway, but they mean more when I'm in a down mood. :drunk:
19. I haven't broken anything, except for my right shoulder... three times. The last time being over two years ago. All happened while playing football, but I didn't really know what had hit me the last time until about four days later.
20. I cut my hand open a week ago, and left it un-treated for too long. Once I did get it treated at the hospital, it was already infected, and as a result I've become really sick. Well... not so much now.. I'm starting to get over it now. Though it was a great time for me, as I love missing out on school. :drunk:
21. Metallica's newer music isn't as hard as their old stuff... songs like "The Unforgiven II" and "Nothing Else Matters" are more slower and smoother, still heavy in the rock category, but comparing them and their other new music to their old stuff, like "Don't Tread On Me" and "The God That Failed", makes it softer. Check out some of their older music though if you're looking for some good, heavy rock music. There's Pantera, they've always been solid. All their songs are pretty heavy, though "Re-Inventing The Steel" isn't a good song to start off with. Very different from their normal genre... Dream Theater, Iron Maiden, Megadeth, Queens Of The Stone-Age, all have good music beside them. Nirvana can be alright... they've got alot of great songs, though I wouldn't leap into them if you're looking for "heavy metal" stuff.

"Older" Music

One of my most favourite bands, whish was around when my dad was a kid, is Pink Floyd. No-one can go past them and say their music sucked. It rocked.. "Comfortably Numb" is an awesome song. I can't leave out AC/DC, o Richard Marx. They were pretty damn good aswell. And who can forget Guns & Roses? My god... I love so many of their songs, it'd be hard for me to find one I don't like. "Knockin' On Heaven's Door", and "November Rain". Totally rock. "November Rain", dad showed me the video clip once, and the music in it nearly knocked me out. Out of all the songs I've heard from Guns & Roses, "Novemeber Rain" is the best I've heard, ever. Bon Jovi, by himself, was pretty good in his music aswell, from mum. And he still is, as I know.

Finding nemo
Originally posted by Krademon I'm loking forward to it coming out on DVD. But has anyone seen the mcdonalds ad which has a scene special made for it? It has MArlin, nemo and dorey playing with one of the collecatbles you get with a happy meal.
My god, have you seen the actual commercial for the movie itself? That alone made me laugh to no end. I haven't seen the movie yet, though I've been really wanting to for a while now. That pelican... man. "Get in my mouth... if you want to live..." "Yeah, right.. sure, yeah..". - ...so funny, just so damn funny. And then he smashes into a window... I'm thinking if the ad. is that funny to me, I've gotta see the movie. I'd imagine it's not showing for much longer... it's already been screening here for a while now. I'd love to see the movie before it's out.
24. There are things to which I think back on in my life, which would quite easily make someone cry... I 'm not saying I'm some "super non-crying person", though I've never cried over something like that. Everything I've cried over has been induced by pain. Things that are heavily depressing for me, I've looked back at, and instantly get me down right then and there. And then I can't help it, but think back on it for the rest of the day. And it continues for a while... a long while. Usually when I'm listening to my music in bad at night, and suddenly the image of something I'm ashamed over pops into my head, I feel like crying. I feel so damn sad about it, I want to cry, but can't. I hold myself back over it.
25. Half of the population at my school would struggle to keep up with the time-table, if we had a rule like that. Heck, we even have contests for the people who have the flashiest-looking backpacks. Sure, kids around here use their ports for stealing, to look cool, etc. And, the hell are we going to cope with a rule that barrs backpacks, if they can't even afford to give the Year 12 kids lockers?! Man, I feel sorry for you. Large ports can cause back problems, but how many people do you see walking around with a serious life-threatening disease, from wearing a backpack at school. Not one in ten, no, more like one in one-hundred-million. I understand it puts quite a good block on the weapons part, kids aren't going to walk into school carrying a .22 rifle without being noticed. They need the backpack. Schools should realise that this kind of rule can make it alot harder for students attending school. Maybe they do realise, maybe they don't. They probably won't do anything about removing the rule unless a few students take a stand against it.
