Uh, the weirdest thing I've ever put down my throat would be hot potato chips and ice-cream... hot and cold food in my mouth at the same time, doesn't make me feel too well.

You're making it sound they are hip-hop. Jono does not say they base their music on hip-hop, he says hip-hop inspired them. And correct me if I'm wrong, but I do believe Fieldy has pursued a hip-hop side-career, releasing the album Rock N Roll Gangster; completely different music to KoRn. Now, basing your music on something, and being inspired by something, are two different things. Not completely different, I must admit, but different, atleast. KoRn does have the hip-hop line of things in them, but I totally disagree that they base their music on the genre. Inspired by hip-hop; Fieldy says he plays bass in a hip-hop sense because he is inspired by hip-hop, and has been since he can't even remember. They like the sound of hip-hop, though they are a "nu-metal" band. Basing their music on hip-hop, would mean they would be trying to sound like hip-hop. They wouldn't have the heavy-metal instruments in a hip-hop band. I can see we disagree on a number of things. My opinion is running on the fact that they sound "nu-metal", they scream and yell; but yet their based on hip-hop. My opinion is running on the fact that their music is heavy. This is how I seperate music, all music. Rap, RnB, Rock, Metal, Pop, you name it. By the instruments, by the sound of them, the way they sing, or yell or scream, on a broarder view, their music all-together. When you think about it, this is probably why I disagree with all the sub-genres in metal. I hold nothing against your opinion. I just disagree with it. The reason for this, I think we both have different view-points to the same kind of music.
Originally Posted by Jake Of Bodom And you know, Fall, diss hip-hop all you want, but Korn bases all their music on hip-hop influences. Yes, even on their first album. The rhythms and lines are all based heavily on hip-hop music. Not criticizing you, just saying you should look out.
I do realise this, and I also realise their first album is up to ****, I don't like it as much as their other albums. But you cannot tell me the albums Take A Look In The Mirror, Follow The Leader, and Greatest Hits Vol. 1, are based on hip-hop. I know alot of their songs have the rap-style singing, but what makes 'em different, is that they don't sing about "poppin' a cap in some homie's ***", or "we gangstas, and we makin' stashes of money". Jonothan actually puts alot of work into his lyrics, and I see their music alot more than just "based on hip-hop". We all have our opinions, but I think it's narrow-minded to say KoRn bases "all" their music "heavily" on hip-hop. I know rap isn't about the words, it's about what it sounds like. I know some of KoRn's songs sound like hip-hop or rap, or are based on it, with the electric guitar and heavy music, just lightened up to suit the style. But the thing is, what are they overall? A few songs that can be based on hip-hop and rap here and there, doesn't make the whole band and all of its music based on hip-hop and rap. It won't. I doesn't. It never will. It's what they are, not what people class them as, it's what they are. Class them as "Nu Metal" for all I care. I don't see KoRn anything near hip-hop. I admit, "Nu-Metal" may be a "lighter" version of the truely traditional Heavy Metal, and all of its sub-genres that are around, but I like it; I love the genre. Just because KoRn produced a few songs that have the singing in a "rap-style", that doesn't base them on hip-hop, or their music. They have produced alot, I mean, alot more songs of a heavy nature, a very heavy sound to me.

Metallica, KoRn, Spineshank, Adema, Marilyn Manson... Nirvana's "Smells Like Teen Spirit"... Mushroomhead's "Becoming Cold"... Geez, there's so much music that gets me "pumped up", I'd be up all night listing all of it.
Do you have any senses of music? Jesse McCartney is good, but i'll give you the others and add Justin Timmberlake. Sry to sound mean, but I'm a musician myself, and i can't stand to see good musicians criticized. I guess that's just in my instincs.
No, they're singers. Not musicians. I have a sense of music, just not for music like that.

My mate walked into my other mate's house, not knowing there was a screen door in front of him. Walked straight into, hitting only his nose, but cracked the glass into 'bout 100 different fragments. Hard nose. :smoke: -
I love the Rush games. They're awesome. I used to hire them out at, like, 4 or 5 times a week. Wipeout, that's also awesome. I first played Wipeout on my computer, as a demo. I loved it. Also, Destrustion Derby... Destrustion Derby 64 on the N64. It's also on the Playstation. I'm not sure if it made it to the PS2, XBOX, or GameCube... I first played Destruction Derby on the computer, as a demo aswell. Used to play it everyday. Burnout 3, I think it is? Where you have to cause a crash, and try and make it as big as possible to get more points. Love that game, too. V8 Supercars is what I also have a passion for. On the PS2. I own it, and still play it nearly everyday, just racing around the tracks as I've finished the game. I haven't yet played V8 Supercars 2, but I can't wait 'til I can. The Gran Turismo games, nah, not that into it. I own A-spec, or something? A-pec... I dunno. That's how well I remember it. I haven't played it for ages. I got fairly far into the game, and then just lost the interest all-together. The license-tests, and whatever... not for me. I love the tuning part about the game, but there's a better game for that kind of stuff... Need For Speed Underground. 1, and 2. I own both, number 1 on PS2 and number 2 on XBOX. Both awesome. I would have prefered to own N4SU2 on the PS2, but they were sold-out when I had the money to buy it, so I had to grab a copy for the XBOX. Still, none-the-less, I love both games.. The tuning, modifying, and mechanical and engine modifications, is what I love. N4SU1 and 2 are awesome. Overall, I love realistic racing games, with a few tweaks here and there. My favourite kind of racing, like N4SU. Not the Gran Turismo kind of **** where it focuses completely on the skills. No way. I love the futuristic and unbelievable/unreal kind of racing to, like Wipeout and Rush. Just as much as N4SU. ...I don't think I could pick between Realistic (with tweaks here and there), and the other kind of racing where it's unblievable and impossible. I could pick my favourite racing game, but not my favourite style/genre of racing.

My first job was in fast-food. Andit was hell. I was there for 3 years...? Maybe 2½... I dunno, but it was a damn long time. But, I finally lost my job. By going off and completely psycho at the store and state managers face-to-face, and nearly getting into a punch-up with the state manager at the same time, I don't think they really had a choice but to sack me. And... what do you know, I've recently applied for another job... in fast-food. Oh God, when will I learn. When, will I learn.

I reckon censorship isn't needed. What's it do? Blocking out the swearing, or the extreme views, from a song, what is it going to do? It's not going to stop its listeners from swearing. If its listeners want to attempt an extreme stunt or get suicidal thoughts, blocking the lyrics out of a song they listen to isn't going to change a thing. Getting suicidal thoughts and blaming it on a song is ********, I've heard too many examples of that too many times. It could well be for respect. But I really don't think it's going to do anything. I do, for one, believe extremly racist lyrics should be blocked out. But, on the other end, the artist producing the song, should be able to say what he wants. -No offense meant. Otherwise, what the hell is the use of being a music artist in the first place?

Boy Meets World was always in the line-up, maybe not when I was young, but a fair while ago. Looney Toons was there aswell, I'm sure. I can't really remember that far back in my life. I'm really struggling to remember what I watched on tv. I know the WWE (formerly known as WWF back then), and the WCW were also in there. I remember watching WCW on the channel TNT ages ago, that channel has since been put-off-air, or abandoned, or changed, I don't know. But it was a fair while back, I know that.

It works for you if you use it everyday for everything. I use English for everything and wouldn't know a single word of any other language, and even if I did, I wouldn't know. Being born in an English-speaking country means I grew up in an English-speaking family. Growing up and learning new things is what you do alot of when you're young. Basically, what I'm saying, is growing up and being brought up in a family or with whoever, means you take in everything they do and take in how to do everything. That means you learn everything they do. The language they speak is what you learn. That's the best way I can describe it, anyway. It's what I think.

Im not too fond of lollies. Any kind. I mean, I don't mind 'em, but if I cant have 'em, it isn't a big deal. Chocolate, I'm not that fond of either. Except, honeycomb. Or caramel. Or nut-chocolate. Love it. Also, peppermint. I like that too.

I don't get that much chain letters in my email inbox. And if I do, I just don't read them. I've got like 300 unread messages in my email inbox as of now. Out of them, I'd say that about only 3 or 4 of them are something close to a chain letter. If the person keeps sending them to you and you don't want them to, tell 'em. How else are they gonna know not to send 'em to you? Me personally, yeah, I would have went off at them, gone completely psycho... well, maybe not completely psycho, but close to it. But that's just me.

Mine would be anger. Now that I think about it, I can't even remember a day I've lasted without getting angry... :therock:

Everybody Loves Raymond. That's the only show I make time and an effort to catch on tv. And CSI. But Everybody Loves Raymond comes first. The best show ever. Any other show, I don't really make the time, but if the time's there I'll watch it. Like The Simpsons or something like it... not to mention The Simpsons is an awesome show.

No. I don't believe in it. I never have. I'm not going to say I have ever really been in love, because if I did I'd most likely be bombarded with questions and statements seeing as I'm only 16 years old. But to me, it was really something. I would call it love (let it come back and bite me on the ***, I don't care). One of my previous girlfriends has seriously put a dent in my life, and the relationship we had will always be in my head. I'll never forget it. But what she done, or what "love" done, was something I'd love to forget, something I'd love to be able to say has never happened to me, but that aint ever gonna happen.
Originally posted by Bloodseeker "Goddamn, look at that rack! And that ***! Nice figure! She's got a nice face too! And from what I can see, she doesn't have the air of a complete ***** either! I think that I just wanna..."
That's exactly how this relationship started out, haha. But I took a liking to her from day 1. So maybe that's why I'll never believe in love at first sight, either. If you ask me, "love at first sight" is nothing but a lie. It's all made up. Fake. There is no such thing.

The Deceived by Trivium. Great song. :smoke:

All these solo male singers. Jesse McCartney, Shannon Noll, Guy Sebastion (what the hell...). They all piss me off. So much that I feel angry whenever I hear a song of the like. Aswell as any kind of rap, or RnB. Gnagstas and homies an all that. And then there's Usher and Nelly... all the same to me. I can't stand any of it.

I was born in 1988, Centenary of Federation. Or something like that. 22nd of November. I got no idea if it's on a special day or someone famous' birthday. I don't really care to tell the truth. I do know... there's about 50 people at the school I used to go to who had the same birthday as me. Yes. :smoke:
I have a couple of bands that I really like 1.Kittie 2.Rob Zombie 3Marilyn Manson 3.T.A.T.U 4Postal Service There are the best! Nuff said.
How do you manage to "really like" Marilyn Manson, and T.A.T.U.? I love Rob Zombie and MM, but I can't stand T.A.T.U.... one of their video-clips is alright though... maybe I just have different tastes to you. As for the question for starters. Heavy Metal, we all know what heavy metal sounds like. The best music out there. Full stop, no questions asked. :smoke: Heavy Rock, somewhat, for example, Creed (Now known as Altar Bridge, which has generated mighty confusion, hell, I'm not even sure myself whether they're all the old Creed), Adema, and Staind. Those bands are awesome. My Sacrifice by Creed. Listen to it. Now.

System Of A Down are a good band. Though I really like their older stuff compared to the new album they've just released. In my opinion, there are better bands, better music. Though I could live day-by-day listening to these guys everyday. Bring Your Own Bombs, Chop Suey, Aerials, Revenga.. all damn good music by these guys.
-
Yes yes yes. Recently there's been a song on the radio by these guys, Incomplete. If you ask me, I don't think the era of boybands will ever regain its full-strength to make a comeback. They're just too down below now... every kind of music has overtaken the genre. So much, that any boyband that actually does make it back into serious popularity all-round, within the next 10 years, should receive a medal. But I doubt any band of this genre will regain, or build-up so much popularity, at all... it'll never happen.
