TRUSTCompany

TRUSTcompany is an awesome band. They have one album out now, The Lonely Position of Neutral (released in 2002), and one to come out soon, True Parallels. They used to be known as 41Down, and they had one album released in 1997 that was self-titled. They then released another album in 1999 that was also called The Lonely Position of Neutral, only under their then band-name 41Down, as was their previous album. And their next CD; The Album is Almost Finished, was an EP CD released in 2001. Their sound is great. I like their use of the guitar aswell, infact its probably the only band I've heard that uses the electric guitar the way I love so much. Yes, Linkin Park make great use of the guitar aswell, but if you ask me, TRUSTcompany puts it over Linkin Park in alot of areas. The lyrics in all of their songs are what I tend to like in alot of the rock music I listen to. The lyrics in all of their music suits their sound, gives it that kind of mood. Figure 8 is a song anyone who likes the electric guitar should listen too. The lyrics, the music... a ******' mad song. Downfall, Running From Me, Falling Apart, Deeper Into You, Drop To Zero. All awesome songs. Until I heard some music from TRUSTcompany, I had no idea on what I was missing. I've been listening to them for a long time now, feels like nearly 3 years. They're an awesome band, and I can't wait until their next album comes out, I can tell you that. I love their music.

LP in Texas

I've actually only got the DVD, I borrowed it of a friend. I've still got it, I've had it for nearly a year now. I've liked so much that I can't give it back. Their music is awesome, and for some reason I can't go a week without watching this DVD atleast once. I'd do anything to get a listen of the CD; Linkin Park Live In Texas. I assume it'd be just as good as this DVD, if not better.
3.
make sure to eat pleanty of ice cream, take plenty of pain killers and don't swallow the thing.!
I heard your tongue swells up so bad that it's hard to swallow any food too easily, you have to eat soup and drink alot while the swelling is up. Is that what happens really?
4. I'd love to get my tongue pierced. Like one of those tongue bars, it'd be pretty mad. My parents have no problem with it, they just have to give me permission when I'm actually there to get it done, and they can do it. Eyebrow piercing... yeah, looks pretty mad if you ask me, I'd get it done. But only one of these things. A tongue bar would be that and only for me, or an eyebrow piercing, I wouldn't get another piercing on my face once I've got one already. I'd get an ear-ring though, if I had a tongue bar, 'cause you can't really see the tongue bar. Anything else to do with piercing, I wouldn't touch, at all. I plan on getting a tattoo sometime, like the Grim Reaper or something like that. Skulls and that. Preferably on my back somewhere, or on my right shoulder.
5. I have never cried to a movie. And I usually find it quite hard to see how some of my friends can cry to a movie. But maybe I got.... solid feelings or something. I don't know. :smoke: The Green Mile is the only movie I've seen that's really grabbed my emotions. I really love that movie, and it'd be damn hard for another movie to beat that one in my books.
6. Seeing as I'm in a good mood and have not much to do at the moment, I'll take the time to list the songs I like out of each band I list... 1. Metallica I love rock. Yep. -The Memory Remains -The Unforgiven II -I Disappear -Fade to Black -Low Man's Lyric 2. Staind What can I say... I like these guys because of the music they have. All their music I can relate to really well. -Outside -It's Been A While -So Far Away -Fade -Yesterday -For You 3. The Offspring Their sound is so awesome. -Gone Away -Race Against Myself -Hit That -Spare Me The Details -(Can't Get My Head) Around You 4. Linkin Park Everyone knows how good these guys sound. I know how good they are. -Don't Stay -With You -Figure .09 -Papercut -One Step Closer -(I can't forget this song :smoke: ) 5. Cold I only found this group out recently, but I gotta say they got a nice sound to 'em. -Gone Away -Suffocate -Remedy -End Of The World -No One ...of course, there's other great bands, that I listen too more than these bands sometimes. Marilyn Manson, Ill Nino, Live, Creed (awesome), Megadeth, Oasis.
7.
It doesnt make me cry but The Reason by Hoobastank really gets me into deep thoughts.
That is a great song. I've actually just recently heard a bit of their music. Here's my list. Metallica- The Unforgiven II I love it. Whenever I'm down about somethin', this song just adds to my mood, brings back alot of old memories I have. Whenever I'm angry or pissed off at someone, this music assures me that I'm right and the idiot I'm pissed at is completely wrong. The Offspring- Gone Away The sound, the picture, the video-clip, the mood, all in one. I love this song, mainly because of its sound. But it always adds to the depressing mood I tend to get into every now and then. It's attached to old memories. Brian Adams- Right Here Waiting I can't tell you much I can relate to this song. It's almost impossible. I love it so much. DJ Sammy- The Boys Of Summer or The Ataris- The Boys Of Summer The Ataris version of this song is great for me, as it's got the heavy rock sound to it. The DJ Sammy version, has the bass that I can never go without. Both versions are awesome to me. The DJ Sammy version I heard a heap when I was up on the coast for a holiday. I was in a sort of depression state then, and was mixed up with one girl, aswell. Whenever I hear this song, I always wish I was back up there on the coast, at the same place. I don't know why. I always feel real down when I listen to this song. Everlast- What It's Like The only not-rock song I am really attached to. This song always brings back memories of a while back. I always get images of the area around the house I grew up in, in the rough part of my town. I always get a vivid picture of me walking down the footpath with a friend (I don't know who), the sun setting behind our backs, me holding a basketball. I'm pretty young in that picture, as I feel, and it seems to be late in the afternoon... I dunno, but I'm always down or moody or really thinking about things when I can attach to this song the most.
8. I went through depression when I was around 12/13 years old, pretty serious. There's no saying you will or will not go through depression, all I know is it's the hardest and most life-draining thing any teenager could ever go through. It happens with 1 in every 3 teenagers in Australia or something, I don't know, something like that. Teenagers. Nearly everything that can have a very serious impact on your life, that will happen to you, will happen while you're in your teens. I don't mean to scare you. Just stay happy and stay out of trouble and it'll be right. If you don't take everything so seriously and go with the flow you won't even know you're a teenager 'til you're past all these years anyway. I should've taken that same advice.
9.
What do you believe drives people to listen to the music they do? Can music affect how a person identifies themselves? Why?
I listen to music that I can sort of connect to, music that fits in with my mood. I think people listen to the type of music that they do, because they can fit it in with the mood they are in. The general mood people like in thier music is always there, behind all the emotions and feelings, it's always there. And that's what connects people to the music they like, and this is they reason why they do like that kind of music, in the first place. Listening to the music you like, can make you think clearer. I find that when I'm thinking seriously of a situation, or anything on my mind that I take seriously, listening to music I like alot, can add a mood to it, make me think clearer about it all.

Radiohead

I, actually, find it so amazing that someone can describe how great a band Radiohead is, the way you have, Mitch. I can see you truly do love this band, and even though I'm far, far off from where you are in following them, I still can see some of what you see in them. "The Bends" is my personal favourite from Radiohead, even though I haven't heard that much from them, everything I have heard from them, I've liked every bit of it. I intend to hear some more from Radiohead.

Michelle Branch

I actually like some of Michelle Branch's music. "Are You Happy Now" is a great song if you ask me. I haven't heard enough of her music to make a reasonable opinion on her, but as of now I reckon she's alright.
12. 1. Metallica- Metallica (Black Album). I reckon this is the best album Metallica has ever brought out. Love the music. 2. Staind- Break The Cycle What can I say? I love Staind. Especially this album by Staind, has some damn good songs. 3. Marilyn Manson- Mechanical Animals and also The Golden Age Of Grotesque. I've always liked his music ever since I first heard of him. ...and then there's always the thousands of burnt mixed CDs I have lying around my room.
13. The relationship I'm in now has been the longest for me. One month. Yeah, I'm not exactly the one for a long-lasting girlfriend... atleast I thought I wasn't. Now what do you know, I'm going for alot longer than what I thought I would... Though I love her. And she's all I care about.
14. BMXing is the way to go. I love it. I've had a BMX for the last five years now, my first bike was stolen, and that was the best bike I ever owned. All nice and sweet. But I've got a new bike now, I'm getting used to it, it goes alright. I've got a range of tricks up my sleeve, I'd love to compete in a BMX comp., but the day one of those come to my town will be declared a public holiday.
15. I actually slept in on Mother's Day. I'm usually up at around seven/eight in the morning to get into town for the day, and it really annoys mum that she has to drive me in every morning. I think I slept 'til about ten that morning, yeah. I actually got her two boxes of chocolates, which dad paid for for me, seeing as I don't have a job anymore and have been flat broke for the last four weeks.
16. My original username was "Squashed Snail". I dunno... why. I thought it up pretty much. Out of the back of my head. "Fall" has more of a reason to it. It describes the basic line my attitude towards my life was. It still fits me perfectly if you ask me, though I've picked up a fair bit. One side of me is that word. Perfectly.
17. Music keeps me running. Without the music I listen to, I'd die within a day. I listen to Metallica, Staind, Cold, Linkin Park, Ill Nino, Static-X, the kind of music they have really surrounds me perfectly. Other bands like Three Doors Down, The Smashing Pumpkins, Oasis... they have the more mellower sort of music. Still right in the rock category, but alot more smoother than the heavy bands. I love that kind of music too. RnB, is a different story. There's nearly no song, at all, in this genre, that I can stand. The only songs, actually have meaning to me, bring back memories to me that actually mean alot to me. "One Call Away" by Chingy, "Yeah" by Usher, "I Don't Wanna Know" by Mario Winans/P. Diddy, "Suga Suga" by Baby Bash. Put them all together, and you can notice a kind of line that they all follow. I love these songs. They all bring back memories that I can picture all the time when the song is playing, and actually mean alot to me. Music runs through my veins. Without music, I'd be a very sad, emotionally distressed, depressed, torn-apart, mixed-up, confused, not-thinking-straight person. In other words, I'd be dead. :shifty:
18. I bought some Wheatgrass from the supermarket a few weeks ago, and it works like nothing else. It's supposed to be really good for you, so good that it makes you throw up.. :drunk: I know people that actually buy it and eat it. It's a kind of flour that mixes in with any kind of liquid, so mixing it in with orange juice or something makes it all easier to swallow. On the warning lable it clearly states "May induce vomitting". I've had atleast a week off school since I bought this magic. It really does make you feel sick.
19. I've cheated quite a few times to tell the truth, mostly in my early years of highschool. The teacher answer sheets were kept in a corner cupboard hidden away in the staffroom, and I used to come around at night when the cleaners were still there and sneak into the staffroom and take a sheet for each test. The only reason I cheated was mainly because I thought I'd get away with it. I did too. I was happy. It affects your integrity alot, if you ask me. Knowing I cheated gave me a kick out of thinking I was "mad" and all that, but in the end you know you didn't earn it if you get to a high level with it.
20. I'm sorry to butt in, though I would like to put in my say. I don't think the private ownership of a firearm should be banned. There are many reasons a gun is needed, not particularly as much as living in town as to living out of town. Protection, farming, etc. As long as the weapon is safely locked up, away from harms' way, and not loaded when not in use, I think it's not unsafe at all to have a weapon under your ownership. I know here, every second or third month, a police group come out to our property to check up on the maintenance of the three guns we own, and make sure that the gun cabinent and safety procedures are all in line. If one little thing is out of whack, they'll take the guns for good, and dad will never get his license back. That's how it should be all over the country, and enforced over the world if you ask me.

Rammstein

I don't mind Rammstein. I've heard alot of songs by them that I have to say I like. I like the fact that they're a rock band, their music tends to always have kind of tune to it. Some of the translated music you hear of their music doesn't seem to run as smoothly as their original stuff. I like their original music.
22.
I know how you feel... My house was broken into not too long ago but thanks to our alarm system he ran. They eventually found him because of the footsteps in the snow but it was scary. Me, my brother, and dad went down stairs with baseball bats to see if anyone was still there and a few minutes later the police showed up, and we were all fine. But I dont really think it is necessary to have a gun in this type of situation only because it may be serious, but think about it, would you ever pull the trigger. I know I wouldnt, but I would swing a bat.
I'd pull the trigger. But I wouldn't aim the gun at the person and then pull it. I'd aim near them and shoot, to scare them. Half the time that works. If they'd have any brain at all they wouldn't get a kid with a gun angry. It's happened to my family before. Now every time mum or dad leaves the house with just me home, or one of my bros' or sis', they always leave the gun cabinet open, with ammunition. Just in case. Dad's taught us all how to use it. We live a fair bit out of town aswell, so we have to have some sort of block.
23. I'm not "the popular kid". There's the groups that are popular. I'm within all of them, know them all, but I don't consider myself to be too popular, or anywhere near unpopular, nor do I think everyone likes me. Though I do consider myself to be quite above the middle line, if I was to be put into a category or somethin'. Honestly, I can't stand anime. I'm mainly here for the gaming and music forums, aswell as the general talk going on around here.
24. There's a small town not far from here called Mumbil. The only legend worth believing that's been around for a while is that of Sparrow. Mumbil has a population of about 100/150 people. The town is fairly old, though is surrounded by a few other towns of the same size, such as Stuart Town and Eureeka. This whole area is around the Lake Burrendong area, a large lake that's known country wide. In Mumbil, just comming out of the west end, approaching Eureeka, there's a large white two-story house that stands on a crest, comming up from a shallow ditch. It's been there for ages, even since there was a population of 12 people there, that house was there. Anyway, the owner is an old man, he has owned it forever and a day. It's not in the day that you have to worry about walking past this house, or the night. It's at sunset. The old man sits out on the veranda, in his rocking chair, all day, late into the night. You can look at him, even say hello to him, and he'll answer back. But not at sunset. Looking carefully enough, a large shotgun stands by his side during sunset. During the day and night, the gun is gone. My dad, his brother and father, lived in Stuart Town. Every afternoon my grandfather would walk from his own town, through Eureeka, through Mumbil, to Narrembar, the other side of Mumbil. He had to pass the old white house on his way, to drop off the mail. He noticed every day the mail wasn't collected, just piled up in the old wooden mailbox. He never said hello to him, or even bared to look at the old man. He was scared. His nerves eventually got the best of him, and one late afternoon when he was passing by, he looked up and dared say hello. The gun was there. The name "Sparrow" was given to him for the sound he makes. The old man started making a sound, like a deep hollow sound. And kept hollowing it out late into the night. As my uncle was walking up the road away from the house, he heard two loud shots from the gun. One was louder than the other. The next afternoon my uncle was passing by, and the man wasin't there. The gun stand lone, leaning against the empty rocking chair. Two shotgun shells were laying on the veranda. Now naturally, you'd think this would mean the old man killed himself. The shotgun was shortened, so it wouldn't be hard to shoot yourself with it. Being the man my uncle was, he didn't report it. Don't ask me why. He hasn't ever changed the story. One other person, friend known as Dan, living in Eureeka reckons he had heard the old man shoot at nothing a number of times. Sparrow owned a large block of land, and it conjoined onto Dans backyard. He would continuously hear the old man laughing. My grandfather still does the mail run in that area, and says he can hear the old man hollowing that deep sound. Except there's an eerie sound to it. Instead of hollowing the sound late into the night, you can hear him break into a laugh. And laughs. You can only hear it when you pass by the house at sunset, and late at night. Ask anyone, nobody will tell you that the story isn't true. Might say they don't believe it, but they never say it's not true. Others say they have heard him hollow into a laugh down at the lake, Lake Burrendong, in the afternoon.
25. To me, their music is very similar in every song. Even that said, I still like them enough to take second spot for one of my favourite all-time bands. Like Metallica, they make very heavy use of the electric guitar, and this is what I really like in music. "One Step Closer" is an awesome song. "Papercut", "Figure 0.9", "Don't Stay", "Run Away", and "Crawling" is music that I can listen to in any situation. Up loud all the way. Their songs seem to have depth to them, alot of meaning if you listen to the lyrics. And that's a trait which I like about Linkin Park.
