1.

One thing I didn't get was what happened to Hinoto and her sister. Hinoto committed suicide, that much I gathered, but what was up with her having split personalities and all? Plus, where did her sister go after learning of her death? After being such an important character, and a major catalyst for the entire conflict, she just kind of disappeared.
~Dagger~
That was bothering me too! I've been searching the net and have been reading a lot about the manga. While there are big differences between the manga and the series the characters seem to be heading towards the same fates. From that I've got the impression that it was just easier
to have Kanoe disappear than to explain what happened to her
I think I may have to buy the manga to suppliment the series.
 2. Many people have mentioned that CLAMP often use the same characters in more than one anime. Personally I've only seen this with Tokyo Babylon and X. I think it's fine so long as the characters suit the anime - which for TB/X it does. For me it gives the creator the opportunity to include a secondary character and imply they have a past without the need to explain it and give more screen time to other characters. I'm just wondering if anyone knows of more and what you think of the concept - do you like it, would you like to see more of it etc?
 3. A question for those that have finished watching X/TV. There is one thing that I don't understand (actually two), and it could be that I missed something and need to watch the whole thing again! But I'd like others opinions - it's all going to need spoiler tags as I don't want to ruin things for people that haven't seen it!
Towards the end one of the characters mentions that they've lost Subaru. We then see him in the dream with his sister where he seems to have withdrawn from everyone - I missed what happened to take him there! Was it the battle with Seishiro?
and again at the end
at the very end we see where everyone is and how they are, he seems to be alive, but I thought he'd been killed by Fuma - anyone know what's going on there!
:D
 4. Born and bred in Melbourne Australia - but am part English so have British citizenship and am moving there in July for a couple of years. Have to say, Melbourne is the best, yes the weather sucks but it's such a great atmosphere and lifestyle, I'm almost sorry to leave. But three weeks in Japan and a couple of years in England will be good :D
 5. X - TV is the latest anime to make it to my favourites list. My only problem is that disk 6 was damaged and I'm waiting for a replacement. So while I've seen X the movie and know how it all ends, I don't know how it actually ends! I watched the movie over a year ago and wasn't overly impressed but the TV series instantly grabbed my attention as having potential and by episode 4 I was hooked. The main reason I love it is that the story is all about the characters and who they are which is satisfying. I like to know about the people and where they've come from. They also interact so well with each other forming realistic relationships. My two favourite things about the series are actually two characters. Subaru Sumeragi, he seems to have been emotionally hurt so badly that he never really recovered Arashi Kishu, she has so many barriers to stop people getting into her heart but they're all coming down My least favourite thing is the English voice actor for Yuzuriha Nekoi, it's high pitched and hard to listen to! ADDITION: 18 Jan I have finally finished watching X and have to say I'm satisfied with the ending. I think the only reason I disliked the movie was that it had too much information in too short a time and the series has really allowed it to expand into a very watchable show. I liked it so much that I have now ordered the manga for Tokyo Babylon (about Subaru). Being in Australia we haven't had this released on region 4 DVD so manga is all I can do for now. I know many people dislike the fact that Clamp often use characters in more than one series but in X I think it has worked perfectly fine. It allows you to be intrigued by a character and then go to past publications to find their back story - rather than having to tie it up into the series. Overall I think Clamp have done an excellent job and recommend X TV to everyone!
 6. There have been many anime that have made me cry - most have been mentioned by others here so I won't repeat them. The one that stands out in my mind that made me physically cry, and emotianlly drained me, was a Cowboy Bebop episode.
The one where Ed leaves. Faye has just discovered her past, Spike is re-discovering his, Jet can see that everyone is heading in their own direction and the team is breaking up. You can feel the end is near and the happy times are over.
I think a lot of what made it so emotional is the music. For me there can be something sad happening, but as soon as you add music to enhance it I'm bawling my eyes out!
 7. For me it's more about the anime I don't watch more than once... and the only one of those so far is Ninja Scroll. The violence in that really bothered me, I'm not sure entirely why as violence in other anime seems perfectly fine. The ones I constantly rewatch are Cowboy Bebop - the story, characters and music all combine perfectly to make this the most addictive anime I've seen. You can't help get attached to the Bebop crew everytime you watch, even though you know the outcome. Also Neon Genesis Evangelion. I will never fully understand it, but each time I watch it I get something new out of it. I tend to put it on when I'm in a low mood or going through a period of anxiety as it gives off vibes that suit those feelings. It also gives me something to focus my feelings on rather than wallowing in self pity! :D
 8. Hi I really like the imagry and the structure of the banner. It's not messy or overdone. Personally the colours I feel when I watch .hack//sign are much darker, probably because of where the storyline goes mentally, so I don't really assosciate with the colours you've used. However that is just a personal feeling so if those are the colours you feel then that is perfect for you :) Jen
 9. As a kid I watched things like Astro Boy without having any idea they had a classification - really what kid knows the difference between anime, live action, puppets etc. The first anime I watched that I knew of as anime that really introduced me to it was Ghost in the Shell in around 1995-6 can't remember exact date but it hadn't been out long. A friend had it sent over from Japan and we watched it in Japanese with subtitles. I was hooked. A few months later I watched the dubbed version and decided I loved it both ways. Having also just hooked up the Internet at home around the same time I of course searched for info on it and realised there was a whole world of anime out there. I've seen good I've seen bad, my fav's are Ghost in the Shell which started my love and Cowboy Bebop which really introduced a new group to anime, many of my friends who wouldn't consider watching "cartoons" (their words) have fallen in love with the style. I'm also a big Evangelion fan because it has kept me interested for years trying to understand it all.
 10. Personally I love the Cowboy Bebop soundtrack. It's the only soundtrack from an anime I've bought because it is something I will listen to all the time. There are some excellent jazz tracks on the CD as well as a few really beautiful songs. :)
 11. It's a tough choice but I'd have to say - Spike from Cowboy Bebop : he has so much depth and is just soooo cool with the guns and the fights and the humour - Ed from Cowboy Bebop : she's smart, she's independent and she's like a cat - Vash from Trigun : like Spike he's also much deeper than you see at a glance, he's the 'cool' one and he doesn't want to hurt anyone! - Motoko Kusanagi from Ghost In The Shell : was the first anime I saw and she is such a strong and interesting character
