1.
I haven't played Dynasty Warriors 5 yet. I'm kind of waiting on a price drop. But I have played 3 and 4. They're definitly fun and addictive games, and I'm having a hard time about what to get next. My eyes are set on Dynasty Warriors 4 and Samurai Warriors (I'm a samurai fan, can't help, and they have the same gameplay) at the moment. My favorite character(s) to use are Zhao Yun, I think. It's been a long time since I've played a Dynasty Warrior game, and another young guy dressed in red, and carries a tai chi sword or something like that. I think his name is something along the lines of Tsung... not sure. In any case, I do have a question. What are the differences between the different versions? (Empires and Xtreme Legends) What makes the any different from the original?
I'd have to disagree with you on the issue with comparing Dynasty Warriors with Samurai Warriors. The combat systems, the morale systems, Hell, the basic troop AI systems in Samurai Warriors simply disappoints me. I dislike the floaty feel of the characters when they attack, and the charge attacks always seem to confuse me, no matter how much I try to train myself to use them. I suppose playing since DW2 will do that. Heh. Another thing about SW is the over-hyped options that turned out to be bland, such as calvary combat, arrow deflection, and the use of siege weapons. They never really panned out and proved stale. So did the castle combat stages. But I truly love the atmosphere set by both games. It gives you a bit of a rush. The character you're describing immediately brings Zhou Yu to mind. The Xtreme Legend and Empire expansions offer some new content to the game they spawn from, but not too much in the way of AI or graphics. Xtreme Legends usually offers new Challenge levels, stages, and game modes, such as Legend Mode which lets you experience a general's most famous battle or duel, such as Gan Ning's raid at Ru Xu Kou, Zhang Liao's charge at He Fei, and so on. These maps usually provide more opponents than a regular mission, with less support or more overpowered enemy generals, or both. XL also includes Xtreme Mode, which is basically a Risk-meets-DW-meets-Endurance. You select your general, set out on a quest to conquer as much of the dynasty for yourself before falling in battle. You have limited soldiers, your health remains the same between missions unless you spend hard-earned money on healing items. You can also bribe or seduce powerful generals to help you. Empires is a bit different. It takes away the set missions that loosely follow the RoTK line and let you either pick a general or create one of your own liking in an attempt to conquer all of China in 100 turns. You must attack other areas to gain them, defend areas being attacked or risk losing them, manage your troop health, and appease or abuse the general population. The gameplay itself is also different, putting in a Strategy/Action-Adventure spin on the hack-n-slash action by setting up waypoints and supply points that determine conquered land. It's good fun, worth buying.
  2.
Neil might want that . . . if he used tactics.
Holy Hell, someone remembered who I am... Hello, everyone. Work and school aside, and a new computer, and not being able to find my GW CD for three months, I am finally re(re-re-re) installing the game and might even play it sometime this decade. ...Horrah, just in time to shell out another fifty bucks for another expansion... Not like I need my paycheck anyway, with cell phones, rent, and electricity bills. ...Screw it. I can finally rebuild my Pike from Priston Tale. Here's to the fun. *drinks some eggnog*
Someone shout at me sometime in-game. Demos Huragesh is still active, as should Amatros of the Pyre. I forget what my little midget of an Assassin is named, but he just might be axed in favor of some spear-stabbing goodness.
The Boondocks

I personally love The Boondock's, regardless that I've only seen these three episodes. It's quickly becoming a great hit in my book. The racism, the cursing, the subject matter, what-have-you, are no big deal in my opinion. In relativity, this show is far less controvercial than, say, Chappelle's Show or South Park. However, the problem there is that you're comparing something from a more adult-oriented site to one that's name ALONE deems it a child's channel. [Adult Swim], yes, has it's own segmented time block outside of primetime hours, features discretion notices, gives ample warning to a show's subject matter, and has even said in the bumps that The Boondocks was one of the most politically incorrect shows ever aired on [AS] and has furthermore made in-jokes about how controvercial the show is. Despite these legal precautions, I can fully well see some ignorant parent group causing a big stink over this. I personally don't understand that, though. I mean, it's called ADULT Swim for a reason. Parents these days are just too closed-off from the world. Hell, I saw three different commercials today alone that cursed in context, one repeatedly, but the second an 'animated character' (AKA cartoon) says something that remotely relates to a reference of a curse word, it is blasphemous against all that is American and holy and just. Then again, that was the entire point of The Boondocks from day one. To jump over the line, run back across, and jump over again. I think this is just [AS]'s big push to finally get their own station, to be honest with you. >_>; Use public outcry to seperate themselves from the limiting Cartoon Network tag and show the different series they hold rights to like they want. I would actually prefer that. Either way, rant or no rant, I think The Boondocks is a hoot. Morally objectable content made light of in a condescending manner? What's not to love? Don't trussst them niiiiiggas over deeerrreee..! *crash*
Uncle Ruckus owns your soul, ya'dig?
5. *shakes fist at Al--oops, never mind. :P* Annie is muy sechseh, regardless that Alex's computer decided to start sucking. And, a general idea, we should do a crapload of GvG when I get back, AND we should all take on Glint; a full party of QKT members. I could couple that with the message I spelled out in my backyard with roof tiles and consider it a triumphant return. [I spelled out "I WiN" in roof tiles in my backyard, because I was right and my house is generally fine. : D] Glad to hear there is still a world going on outside of my little sphere. Good work with that, Annie. I knew you'd eventually get it. And we need more pictures of your sexy dominatrix set.
And it's 50,000 XP. ^_~
6. Hey, look who finally found a library. >_>; Katrina is a real *****. That pretty much sums up my opinion on the matter. Mom and I packed up the car with pretty much bare essentials and left. We originally hit the contra-flow north to Hammond, but got on I-55 instead of I-12 -- ended up in Brookhaven as opposed to Alexandria. So, long story short, we went along some pretty minor roads and came out to Sunset, Louisiana, about ... 150 miles west of New Orleans. I've been in this shithole of a motel room since Sunday morning. I'm not kidding when I say I've been in prison cells bigger than this place. We're heading up to Montgomery now, renting a place from a friend of my mom's, and it looks like we'll have to be there for about a month before we are able to even get back to town. Hopefully, the reports I've heard about my area [Metairie, specifically, right at W. Metairie and Edenborn, for those of you who might know specifics] are more or less correct, and I won't have major flooding like the CBD. ...I've been through some pretty wild stages since Saturday afternoon. To list them: Annoyance, cautious optimism, sullen hope, distant recognition, and finally fury. A few people I've talked to extensively know why this made me so mad, why this was such a big deal even though by most accounts I personally managed to [hopefully] escape major damage. But that's something I won't get into now. I just really hope those that are still alive get a head on their shoulders and get the Hell out of town. I can understand the sacking of, say, a Winn-Dixie. Maybe the groceries of Wal-Mart. Food is essential for life, so are water and medicinal sources. But I'm seeing people take PS2s and TVs and ****. The guns...eh. I could understand one or two being taken, because it is getting kind of rough out there...but the whole section? I heard of a group of people jackin' limos and hearses and just literally taking entire stores of vain crap, and then they broke into a few pawn shops and armed themselves. ...Maybe the levee breaches are God's way of saying "Get teh ******* out." Best of wishes to all, and especially to those in places like Gulfport, Biloxi, and Mobile, those that did not have a chance to pack up and leave. It's just mindboggling how we sit here flooded, but they have nothing, yet are as dry as a whistle. Storm surge my ***...that was a goddamn miniature tsunami. *sigh* P.S. Katrina isn't even a TD now, so don't worry too much. -__-; Chaos, spelling swear words funny ways makes the auto-censoring go bananas. Always better not to swear at all than to risk the censorer missing it, ne? This board is open for all to read, remember. I've starred your language out myself for now. 7. ...>:O What do you want for that Major Vigor, Alex? That will help offset my Sup. Sword some, and when I finally find me a Pommel of Fortitude, I will be more or less within the clear. Sad news for Neil, everyone. Goddamn Katrina looks like she'll be making a pretty close run here, so not only will I have to pack up the more important matters of my house, but if **** does go wrong, I might not have power or much of a house at all. I don't think this will be a repeat of Betsy, though, but I am still keeping my fingers crossed. Please, everyone, wish me luck. This is a solid house and it's on a slanted rise from the street, but... Yeah. =/ If you see me on AIM, make sure to check if I'm on my mobile. It costs me cash to IM on my phone, so if you want to talk, don't spam messages. >_
  8. Alex, I have some good news. I found a way to get you free adren while using IW. I know you had talked about using SA and Gash and all of that, but the problem there is you'd have to cast AFTER doing horrid damage to build up your Adrenaline. But if you just spend a point or two on Tactics, you can use a lovely skill by the name of "To the Limit!" In short, it is a shout which fills your Adrenaline-based hits for (X) points for each foe in the area around you. This is an awesome tool that will allow you to START OFF with IW as opposed to having small damage plinks to stock Adren. You can immediately combo into Conj. Phan., IW, SA, and Gash, and do -40 or whatever per swing, all with a health degen on the foe of at least -6. Couple that with team effort, and, well... *smiles* Need I go on? In other news, Demos Huragesh has Ascended. Fall to your knees and beg for mercy at the feet of your God. Punch and pie will be served. This, of course, also means I have unlocked the Team Arenas and Tombs. And Forge. Which brings me to my current problem; armor. I'm a tad behind on my set. By a tad, I mean Ventari. I skipped the effort of gathering for Amnoon's in favor of stocking cash in order to get my topped-out Asca set. However, this set is far more costly than I imaged. I have the cash for the armor, by far. But, I need 60 more Iron Ingots and 32 Fur Squares. That's 160 Charr hides or somewhere around another 10k in cash. So, I'm taking up donations for Charr Hides, or any type of Hide for that matter. I'll salvage the Maguuma, the Ettin, the etc. hides and use the trader in Ascalon City for promised Fur. Sadly, I don't think I'll be on this weekend, at least not GW. Look for me on AIM, though, I should be there if I get the chance. *tips hat* All. [Des, I thought you said I got to fight Glint? >:|]
  9. That's all well and good, but do not forget that everything in this game has a viable and totally debilitating counter. Don't get me wrong, Alex, you REALLY did your homework on this, and I think we seriously might want to consider revising our tactics for Guild Battles to accomidate for a lot of that. You and any associates in the process of this discovery need to be commemorated for this work, because it is truly extensive. But what about casting? Sure, you can use Mesmers to shut down Elementalists and Monks and whatnot, but you need time to set up your seemingly flawless defense. But what about spells that don't require a direct line of sight? Unless I'm mistaken, casting, at least AoE spells and Life Siphon, are not limited to blinding. If an Ele gets off one solid skill, such as Meteor or Whirlwind, they will stop that plan cold. Then you're back to square one, especially when the team sees what you're trying to set up, at least the very early stages of the plan. A heavy-hitting Warrior could dash in to take out the Ele -- OH! Almost forgot! A lot of AoE skills can be avoided by Sprint! You won't even take partial damage if you do it right. Did some testing out in Skyward Reach with the Hydras and avoided Meteor, Firestorm, Fire Ball, and Inferno with some practiced dashing. ... And I'm just now realizing I'm making your point for you, Alex. ^_^ So yeah. I think you might have just found something truly debilitating. Sure, statistically, it probably has been found by SOME other person out there, but I have not seen anything like it before. With that many conditions and that much risk of getting harmed by Price/Spirit of Failure, an opposing team would have no choice but to stop attacking and fall back. This would expose their Monk as he would have to stop to cast healing/mending spells, and would make an easy target. Without a viable form of attacking without doing more harm than good or leaving their Ele exposed, the enemy would have no choice but to do a full retreat. With that many conditions inflicting them, plus my personal love of LS-SA-Gash, and Annie's Earth Magic fetish, that is a lot of damage done very quickly. And it also leaves their Lord wide open, not that we really have a problem with that. *winks at Alex's uuber casting and sticks tongue out at French* It would require very precise timing and work, but if we practice with it, I think we might just have ourselves a very dangerous set here. Maybe with a little polishing we might be able to go into Hall of Heroes together. They let specific Guilds party up for HoH, right? And what is it like? An actual stadium arena or the Guild Hall islands? Any stationary weapons? Fonts? NPCs?
  10. Meh, is that it Sean? Seven times at Frost? I docked 15 before making it through. :P Glad to hear that build really works well for you, Alex. I have a question about last night, though, when we talked about Aegis + Price of Failure. Epidemic only casts conditions and their remaining time, correct? So, say, Alec's Lightning Staff would only be useful for three seconds? Or is Epidemic a hex? What I'm asking is, does Epidemic transfer the conditions if the conditions themselves renew? And how good is Hall of Heroes? I've been thinking of trying it out once I get my Knight armor, but I know next to nothing about it. 11. Heh, yeah. Only $205.54 and I got a bunch of anti-spyware software, got rid of over 120 actual spyware infections, and an ATi Radeon 9250. My God this game is even better than before. It's insane, I run the game full chug, maxed out graphics with little to no lag. Warping is still a problem, but I can easily counter that by reducing some of the graphic detail levels, so it's all good. GvG is awesome. I had fun in the Arenas before, but that was laggy, and uncoordinated. Here, in the Hall with people I know, we can formulate plots and make real-time strategic strikes. It's so fun it should be a crime. And I found out I'm a murderer, too, when I don't lag out and miss my cue to steal health. I killed numberous henchmen and the PCs multiple times. The one main problem was the W/Mo the opposing team had that kept casting and getting Healing Breeze from the opponent's Mo/Ele, but I managed to solve that by taking out their Mo/Ele and then their Healer Henchwoman [Alesia is teh suk~!]. After that, it was quite simple to do Life Siphon into Sever Artery into Gash into Final Thrust. :D The problem was the Enchantments, but Alex thinks he might have a solution for that. But, sadly, we lost the battle. Halfway through Des' connection got cut and so we were lacking a very powerful and driving force -- our healer. Sure, we had Alesia, but that whore can't do anything to save her own life, much less ours. -_-; Another problem was that they got ahold of the trebuchet, though I did learn I can tank a hit from it, but I survive with 1 HP. >_> I used Alex's body for Well of Blood and regenerated health...only to have another one hit and bring me right back down and kill Mitch. Repeated WOB and went out the gate, but by that time they opposing team had revived and launched a full assault. I had tried to come back and force them out of the base, but by the time I got there the Guild Lord was down to half-health. It was a pretty good fight, and we were supposed to have a rematch, but Mitch logged, and Alex and Des went skill hunting in Southern Shiverpeaks, and Alec and Annie didn't feel like doing GvG. Alex DID get Illusionary Weaponry, and can pump out -21 a hit now, which is phenominal for a caster...even though I do that per swing. >_>; Speaking of Alex being teh uuber, not only did he get me my awesome 14-21 Fellblade, he managed to salvage a Vampiric Sword hilt for me! Woo! Problem is, I don't wanna put it on my Fellblade, because it's my main weapon. I had tried to put it on this Fiery Dragon Sword I had on my PvP character, but it won't upgrade. So I'll just hold onto it for now. And to show everyone the beauty of my new card, I manage to catch a screen of Demos comforting a very furious Joss, who managed to wrack up -58% DP thanks to Alesia sucking. Mind you, this is a .jpg with no anti-aliasing on in-game. I think this is awesome. Enjoy.
  12. That's Boo taking advantage of an idling Annie, me standing in the background, and the chica is Des' Necro/Ranger. Oh, and just so you know, I was the one that started it all. Kekeke. And it's not as bad as the quintuple orgy they had earlier. More runes; Mesmer Rune of Minor Fast Casting and Minor Vigor Rune. EDIT: I'm also looking to get either a Vampiric or Barbed Sword Hilt. If anyone has one or sees one for sale, give me a yell.

  14.
Nowhere have I read anyone say "because he was a news anchor, that you must respect him" so I have no clue where Chaos and Mitch came up with that statement.[/size']

People want to mourn because they remember him, and when he was a newscaster he was a great one.
That's basically it there. The problem with this line is that Killer7 mentions him being a newscaster...and that's it. No accounts of meritous acts, no stories of brash heroism, or even of mild civility. Just a news reporter. ChibiHorsewoman, I'll assume you were talking to Mitch about respecting the dead since he was the overall subject of your post, because otherwise I'd have to point out that I...well, DIDN'T say anything to tarnish his memory. Unless you count making a point and expressing an almost mild indifference to the subject disrespectful. And the man announced four months ago he had lung cancer, so I think his family knew something might happen. I mean, he was getting on in his years and was diagnosed with a deadly problem. It was a matter of time. Sure, no matter how much you know about when a person will die, you still mourn them...but to assume they just blindly went along with life like nothing was wrong is just pure gullibility.
  15. So, because he was a newscaster...we must respect him? I fail to see the point there. And Mitch is entitled to his opinion, and at least he was honest about it. And he is right; people die all the time, and going quietly at your home isn't all that bad. Sure, he will be missed by friends and family, but just because he had a position on TV doesn't mean we need to celebrate him. More on to the point, I read about this around midnight when I saw it on AOL's HomePage. Can't say I really paid too much attention. I basically went "Oh, he died, eh? Sucks." and logged into Guild Wars. Sure, he was a respectable man, and some people probably idolize him, and he'll be missed...but you know what? It doesn't go much further than that for me. Had he done something more other than report news, I might be a little more inclined to read deeper into it, but that's as simple as it is. Hell, people are more worried about the Discoverer's day-long delay than Jennings.
  16. Des, you might want to lend Lock some of those wood planks. He's been complaining about not having a plank on his ship, so... >_>; Pumpkin, do you still have that Axe Grip? If you do, what do you want for it?
  17. ...Good God Des. I'd buy some of those Iron Ingots off of you if you like. Anyway, hi. Finally got Guild Wars and went ahead with my plans and made a Warrior/Necromancer named Demos Huragesh. Big ol' dude, too. He works out nicely, already at level eight in about twenty~twenty-five hours of gameplay, so I think I'm doing fairly nice for myself. My only problem so far is Charrs, and only when I get swarmed. =/ I'm a still a tad too used to Priston Tale and being able to run into a swarm of enemies and pwn with my main character who shared the same first name as this one. But this game is like pure Columbian blow. Jesus, I can't stop playing even though I have enough lag to make going into Ascalon almost impossible, and it looks like this;
  18.
Chaos, you didn't quite understand what I meant. I know that some suicides are inevitable, and I never said otherwise. I was more stressing at the point that some people have been saved by intervention. Of course there will always be the tragic case of someone being hell-bent on killing themselves. But your closing remark confounds me. You said that anything is possible if the right steps are taken. Does that mean you contradicted your point in the previous paragraph?
Eh, I took your words literally in order to make a point, not so much as to single you out for a "mistake," so please don't think I did. But to the question you bring up, I honestly am not sure. I've seen footage of a guy surviving a grenade blast to the face and have heard stories of people dying because of a glass shard smaller than a pinhead, so I would have to agree that just about anything is possible...ninty-nine percent of the time. Like it has been mentioned before, saving someone is only possible if the person wants to be saved. But even then, you could probably report them to a mental institution and have them placed under watch. But even then they could find some way of killing themselves. I suppose it's not as literal as "anything" or "never", but close enough that the statements are justified. So, your point is made and noted, and yes, perhaps I should have said nearly anything. Heh. It's all in due, I suppose.
  19.
" im sorry if this offends any non christians but suicide is wrong theres only one being that gets to decide when you die" i agree w/ u! suicide is the dumb way outta life my b/f tried to commit suicide but i stopped him in time and i've always had a distaste for it its like..........that bitter apple stuff that my mom puts on my nails yucky stuff but anyways back to the subject suicide is dum ppl who commit it r weak..........they should follow Christ(im not trying to offend anyone)"Youth Fire is 4 teens who r on Fire 4 Jesus,'' Pastor Warren Beemer(srry id i got to much in christianity)
Christianity, or any religion for that matter, is not the answer. Please, leave faith at the door. If someone turns to the church to seek help in their life out of their own volition, fine, but do not preach here. If you're going to make a point do it without a blind faith in whatever you believe in, because, chances are, someone doesn't want to hear it. I'm not saying don't practice an open religion, I'm not saying don't express your opinion; I'm saying make your point in a sensible manner and over a subject matter that all can agree on. And did you really just compare suicide to nail polish? What in the hell...? As for everyone else, let's try taking a step back and calm down, all right? These are personal feelings, not rites of passage into the understanding of the world of the dead. We need to keep that in mind unless we want another tiff. Amity, I'd first like to say to you that I do understand your point, but also to point out a problem; humans are impressionistic beings. Someone's words can affect us even if we don't immediately realize it. Granted, if someone is so far off the deep end that they constantly think about suicide, you probably won't be able to do much simply by smiling as you pass them by or saying hello once in a while. Not only do I understand your point of view, I somewhat share it...but even if you advocated the whole "one life, one chance" thing, you should do everything in your power to try to help someone if you can, regardless of your feelings on suicide. Doing anything else makes you just as bad, if not worse, for forsaking someone. Yes, I know how hard it can be to connect with someone that simply wants to end it all, but any little thing might be a grand miracle in their eyes. Retribution, I'm afraid I have to disagree with you on the matter of some suicides being inevitable. Sometimes things REALLY are quite simply hopeless. Even seeking therapy people are often times so lost that they cannot even see a good thing in front of them. I know because it happened to a friend's mother. She had repeatedly attempted suicide before, and failed, but that only made it worse. Eventually she took a .38 snub to the side of her skull, and to be quite honest, even though I think she was wrong in doing so, I also think she was a ticking timebomb waiting for the right push. I can honestly say that when I think back to it she really was on the edge and, frankly, it was a matter of time. So yes, we should help, even if it is impossible to bring someone back. It makes us who we are, and anything is possible if the right steps are taken. Don't let personal opinions or vices stand in your way of extending a hand to a person in need.

I'd be more worried that your hue change of the main header bled through to the guy's shoulder...>_> Unless of course that's what it was supposed to do. Heh. For some reason the Jukebox never loads for me unless I use my AOL browser, and then it only works half of the time. *shrug* And yes, the Reply and Edit buttons are hypnotic. EDIT: Neil r teh pwn'd. ^_~ [I think it was the .jpg format that was the problem. Though all of those problems shouldn't have stemmed just from a file type. Hmm, odd.]

His body can automatically, due to its practice over the passage of time, restore itself by combining the pure energy of an elemental and the decayed, blasphemous evil essence of a Demon God. As the Demon God of the Night Skies, he can flawlessly empower the weather. This includes creating or dispersing storms at a simple whim, forcing electric, wind, sound, rain, ice, and the proper derivatives of such natural elements out from his body or the sky. He can make static charges beyond billions of volts and across the spectrum to ice shards the size of naval battleships. He can also break himself apart as wind for teleportation, or lightning for a fast-as-light-itself phase-out/in. Vae has fashioned his own dimension, used to return to when needing a break from the world, or to escape, or move large armies or stock around without harassment. It is called the Valley, often referred to as the ?Void,? but it is far more than a blank absence of existence. Rather, it is a reversal of the material realm, a cursed, inverted world where mana can be freely and visibly seen as it is gathered and conjured. Ethereal winds tear at the Valley, giving a wild and distorted look. The material realm, or any other, has an affect on the Valley, and vice versa, but the normal world can be faintly seen through the morbid colors of the Void. Medra can enter the Valley at will, and with no summoning time; it is like an extension of his psyche. There, he can move about freely without hassle, and any forms of attack will not follow, as he can selectively chose what makes it through his portal, which is not bare to the naked eye. Being a Demon God, he is invulnerable to deadly poisons, as his coagulated blood absorbs any destructive force injected within him. This includes paralyzing poisons. However, venoms that reach beyond physical bounds still inhibit combat effectiveness, such as magic-reducing spells and barrier chants that place bonds on his energy output. As an adept mana user, Medra can, at will, enhance his vision by threading pure energy into his eyes to see the world around him in a spectral sense. There, he can witness all flows of magick and life energy. In this way, he can see around psychic and infatuation-induced hallucinations. Since Vae?s soul is bound with the Essence of the Bloodroot, the very nature of evil, he can never truly die. His body may cease to move, and his spirit may leave the carcass, but his sentience will always return to the Valley, where he will be able to regain his strength and conjure his body back from even the most sacrilegious of disposals. Due to his time in the River Styx, his mind is severely chaotic, eras of pain, hatred, and suffering ground into his very moral fiber. This leaves psychic and psionics at a disadvantage should they take a peek within his psyche, and several in the past have killed themselves after feeling the torment of such punishment. Others have gone insane, and the majority of those that have festered into his brain have nightmares every night in a horrid reminder of the pain. In lieu of his time under the torrents and tides of the Styx, Medra also gained insightful know-how on controlling the river of Fire itself. He can, upon summoning, relinquish a tide of liquid fire and broiling blood over the area around him from below, and has even formed spheres of power similar to the Styx from his bare hand. As a Scion of Fury, his body must change to allow for his immense power to bloom when his abilities are pushed higher than a normal fighting level. At the first level, his tail emerges. Most commonly forty feet long, but it can extend, with the steady increase of energy, up to seventy-five feet long. On the tip is a triangular blade, a flat running some seven feet in the base skin, with a sloping, razor-sharp edge outwards. He can control it superbly, and, in fact, is deadlier with it than his Twin. The blade has been dubbed the ?Edge of the Damned? by many ancient myths and stories. Edge of the Damned: http://artillerie.250free.com/MT.gif In the next plateau of his power, Vae?s draconic wings emerge. Unseen for over three million years, these disgusting appendages are vile, disproportionate relics of an age long past. Bare flesh liters the blackened, craggy bones, with strings of sinew and ligaments hanging freely. Each wing is thirty-seven feet long, four feet tall, and razor sharp. They can easily match blades in open combat; yet do not aid Medra in any form of flight, regardless that he uses mana for such an act. Biography: Birthed under the name ?Vae?, Medra knew only rage and pain for the first decade of his waking life. Created in a vat of ripe genetic material enchanted with weather elements and the dark arts, he felt the agony as his body ripped apart on its own, forming and changing again with the tides of energy poured into his body and soul. Seven beings were created in this manner, the project dubbed the ?V3 Project.? He is the second oldest of the brothers. The line follows as; Diablos, Medra, Orion whom was also known as the Death Knight, Arano, Unas, Amatros, and Raserei. The Generals of Hell hail from an alternate version of Hades, most closely corresponding with Dante?s depiction of the afterlife. The actual creation of the souls for the Brothers was indeed unique at the time, all of those millennia long past. Four of them, Diablos, Arano, Amatros, and Raserei, held within one thousand corrupted Angelic souls in a loosely connected cluster. Orion was the next step, combining one thousand five hundred pure Angel souls into one, placed under a necromantic bind. This was a powerful outcome, but the radiant purity ultimately lead to his desertion to Heaven?s Army. Medra was created in a similar manner, but with a more perfected method. He was to be the finest creation of the move. Seven thousand, six hundred twelve souls, three thousand eight hundred six pure and another three thousand eight hundred six boundlessly corrupt, were melded together in a summoning process which took three years to complete. Once the soul was finally whole, like so many pieces of a puzzle fitting just right, it was placed under not a necromantic bind, but inspirited with the Essence of Bloodroot; he is made of pure hatred. As to not leave any loose ends of the story of creation, Unas was then made while Medra was placed under the River Styx. The factors for both moves were quite simple; Medra needed to fester in pain, misery, and, most importantly, rage, while Orion?s spot on the Council of Thirteen, a collection of the most powerful and evil beings in the Pits, had to be filled. Unas was forged from blood. No spirit, no soul, just life threads. Darkened by fury at his own pain and uncontrolled self-mutilation within the Vat, he was endlessly more evil than the scientists of Hell had ever predicted. He was marked in history as a black spot within a multitude of dark legions; even the armies of the Morning Star were wary of his abilities. Medra remained under the river of Fire, assimilating as much of the fury that his body could hold. The Essence of Bloodroot had an astounding affect on his body; it strengthened him as time went on and, accordingly, the more he fought. Furthermore, the suffering of others pushed his abilities even higher. Below the Styx, at the basin where Vae was bound, he became one with the River of the Underworld. He knew it in and out, and it knew him. He spoke with the Styx?s essence on a level far above a voiced conversation, and even in his agony-riddled screams, he learned to control the power of the River. It had blessed him; it understood what he would soon become. Vae was chosen to carry the burden of hate with him. During the various wars throughout the passage of time, Medra has repeatedly proved himself to be an exceptional combatant, a brilliant tactician, and a gifted thinker. Able to add two plus two and get four every time during the most intense situations has, along with his extreme abilities, preserved his vitality throughout the millennia. Though, for all of the punishment that he has undergone, he remains a rather stately air about himself in day-to-day life. He hides his insanity deep within, and reserves his whims of destruction for chance days when he simply does not want to put up with the mortal realm around. He is known, however, when he does snap, to leave withering husks and disfigured bodies strewn about in a very chaotic way that has an underlying shape or style. Appearance: Medra is obviously of otherworldly origin; he is literally a god in form. Iron-hard muscles are cleanly etched under bronze skin and a thick, diseased blood flows through his veins. His skin is thick and tough, well cut muscle buffering his steel-strong bones. He is a living tank, and can take much more damage than most of the most blessed warriors around, due to the fact that his organs are not necessary for animation. http://artillerie.250free.com/Medra.gif Belligero: Otherwise known as: The Second Twin A spear forged from the River Styx, directly over Medra. The blade is a mixture of steel, platinum, melted diamonds, and over ten percent of it is pure carbon. While it was being forged, it was constantly entwined with necromantic energy, made to feed on souls and energy alike. Thus, a swing of the blade can either sap a foe of mana or soul, as well as on-coming attacks. The staff is an indefinable mixture of metals that is so thorough it has become an entirely new material altogether. It has undergone the same treatment as the serpentine blade; it will never break for as long as there is an evil hand to guide it. If there is any trace of spiritual darkness in the entire multiverse, it will remain impregnable. The handle varies in length with the amount of elemental energy Medra threads into it. It has been seen at only two feet long, and up to seventeen feet in length. The blade and the diameter of the staff, they remain constant; the razor-sharp, curved weapon is three feet long, with the radius of the staff portion being an inch. http://artillerie.250free.com/Belligero.jpg The Abyss: Within the Belligero is a lolling, foaming, black sea of ice-cold water. A constant storm roars overhead, lightning streaking across the endless horizon, slashing winds toy with the waves, and hammering rain splatters with no hint of ever stopping. Throughout the raging ocean, under the surface, are souls of the vanquished. The Belligero is forever seeking nourishment, and it uses its sizable stockpile of energy to make its demands known. Within the Abyss, souls find no rest. There is no pain, no joy, no despair, and no hope; only a regret of the fateful moment when their body was raped of its innocence, and the Twin stole whatever dignity remained. The dreadful loneliness that waits is irreversible, and those that experience it can never be salvaged; they must face their anguish for eternity. Deloz Fury: Otherwise known as: End of Days This serrated blade, like Belligero, was forged in the River Styx above Vae. Though it has no sentient essence within it, it does emit a wispy, murky aura around the blade that flows with the wind and disperses after traveling too far from the edge. This aura grows in viscosity and volume during battle, or when Medra?s emotions take flight. This evil spirit also infects wounds upon contact; lesser beings or perhaps those not as strongly attuned to their willpower and mana pools suffer adverse affects, such as a fading life signature. In short, this blade is a curse upon life, so much so that even a superficial wound could eventually overtake a healthy person by corrupting the spirit. 22. I believe nowadays that doctors are too quick to classify a child or any person for that matter with a disorder. ADD, ADHD, etc. is all too common, and I can't count the number of times I've heard someone say they're bi-polar when they're really just a dramawhore. A lot of today's quote-unquote disorders are simply children and young adults who have simply grown up without any control and discipline. Doctors see and know this, but also know that a "miracle cure" also pays their bills and keeps parents happy, so they just write out prescriptions to sedate the child into a wasteland of mental inactivity. Granted, there are true cases in which some people VERY MUCH so have mental disabilities, and for that I believe is where time should be taken to study and test and correct through trial and error. There are people out there who genuinely have voices in their heads and those are the ones that need help, not a hyperactive child who is just "expressing him/herself." Guh. All this new-age liberal crap has left parents no control over kids these days. So I think there are times when doctors just see dollar bills from filling out a Zoloft prescription, and that parents just don't do the right thing, but also that there are times when some people should honestly be committed to a facility where their well-being can be documented and ensured. And I also think there are times when the right thing IS done by giving out medication to a patient, but that those times are few and far between. One side note, a slightly philosophical one at that; is there even a norm for us humans? Is there a dedicated level or standard of set measurments that mark out being "average" or "normal?" Every person is different from another, so perhaps the problem IS that medication needs to be given judged on a case-by-case issue. That may prove tedious but probably much safer in the long run.
  23. I don't really think you need to apologize, since, as you said, one oppressing opinion deserves another, but I do appreciate the effort. You have every right to your own opinion and if that clashes with mine, so be it. Don't worry about it. Yes, I know I run my mouth, and yes, I know I'm stubborn, but I was merely putting my own thoughts out. It may be hard to recognize, but I'm generally a pretty rash person on just about any subject, so what some might think is being aggressive is just my way of wording. Granted, that's not exactly fair to those that do not know me, but then again that's a different story. Like I said earlier, don't be so quick to assume that my opinions are just spurred on by ignorance. I've been around for more than my fair share of disasters in this world and I can tell you without a doubt, even knowing and seeing all that I have, that my stand on this matter is my sincerest. I know that there isn't always someone standing next to you to help you through your trials; you sometimes have to go and find it, so while I understand and accept your point of view, I still hold mine dearest -- an action every human does even on a subconscious level. I don't think you need to apologize to me or anyone, Kamuro. You have the right to make your own thoughts and express them as you like. But I do applaud you having enough spirit to come forward and say what you did. My opinions are in some way a personal vice; I really do look at the matter in a very broad sense and without compromise. People might dislike or disapprove of that, but the entire matter is that my ideals are not right and neither are yours. So how about we put this past us and move along for good?
  24. Mortal characters are selectable, yeah,...just not recommended.
  25. There are a few things wrong, actually, that I'm afraid I must comment on. First off the 'world' in the spiritual sense is far, far older than any human civilization. Like the kingdoms of Heaven and Hell were made when the universe was. This RPG will follow a pretty strict flow of a combination of a mixture of faith and science. Rather hard to explain, so let's just put it in the terms that the Big Bang theory was basically God saying "You, universe, exist." and that's when the Kingdom of Heaven appeared along with the vast expanse of space. As Angels began committing sins within Paradise, they were cast out, thus Hell is created. The physical mortal world at this point is a boiling primordial soup. As far as I'm concerned, the events of the Bible still happen, but not in the immediate fashion as it is written. Weird mix of theology and scientific evidence, I know. The other part and not as long and/or boring is that your character simply cannot be the main general of Hell's Army, simply because Ryan's character was in the original which this is a sequel to. So that is just basically a clash of facts. You can still have a significant role if you like, but it wouldn't be the commanding officer of all forces of the Siege. ~_^
