Poof! It's now not windy outside! (maybe) I wish I had a non-possessable Ryoma plushie...
Alakazam! You now have a non-possessable Ryoma plushie. Unfortunately for you, it can not be possessed, so you can't have it. But it can have you! You are transformed into a LoadedPistol plushie, sentenced to live out the rest of your life in inanimate plushieness. You get poked with really nasty pins a lot, too. I wish I were in Germany.

Nekosama's "scientific proof" is hardly scientific, and most definitely not proof. My suggestion for future reference is to thoroughly research a topic and provide clear, concise information before claiming that your research has "proven" your opinion.

>< How can biology become a fad? One can't control it... It's just that homosexuality is becoming more common, and more people are admitting it. That, or people are saying it to try to be different, and they're not really homosexual.

I'm an Atheist, through and through. I've never believed in "God," despite my family's deep christian beliefs. I'm an evolutionist, and will argue all day with anyone willing to argue with me about it, but other than that, I respect everyone's religion, and their right to have the aforementioned. I think a lot of people need to believe in a higher power, and while I disagree with their teachings and beliefs, I think that such beliefs generally make the world a better place. If everyone in the world were atheistic, I don't think half as many would have the patience and motives to be moral, if you know what I mean. So, yes. I'm a disbeliever, but I support and respect those who have the faith to open themselves up to such.

Name: Sca'alo Neeka Age: 17 Gender: Male Nation: Aeron Occupation: Rogue/Grifter ( more of a semi-legal wanderer. ^^ ) Family information: Sca'alo is the bastard son of a harlot. Born into peasantry, his mother sought food and shelter any way she could. Impregnated by a foreigner, she stopped her travels and settled down in a small village near the border. After birthing Sca'alo, she resumed her prostitution until she was struck by a disease, and died the next winter; Sca'alo was 4. Sca'alo was looked after by his mothers few friends and distant relatives until he ran away at 9. He pickpocketed, lied, cajoled, lifted, snuck, and grifted his way through the next 8 years - until the war came. Now that Aeron is engaged in a war, trade has stopped, and people are afriad to travel. For Sca'alo, that means business is at an all time low. He decided to just skirt around towns and lie low until this whole thing blew over... Anything else: Sca'alo is a little on the tall, with long, sinewy limbs and a thin torso. He's quick, lithe, and good with small knives. He's not too shoddy with a shortbow, either. **Writing Sample** The man didn't look convinced. "Sir, if you just allow me a close look at your rings, I can give you a very accurate appraisal!" Sca'alo practically pleaded. "I told you, kid: I'm not planning on selling them! And if I were, I wouldn't get them valued by some scamp like yourself," the man replied. "Well, I'm trying to tell you that those could be worth-" "NOT interested." Sca'alo shook the man's hand. "Well, it's been good talking business with you, Sir. It's a shame you don't want to sell." With that, Sca'alo walked away with 3 large, ornate rings tucked safely in his sleeve. He vaulted over the wooden fence seperating the road from the market district, and sprinted gleefully between the stalls, seeking out the highest bidder for his new prizes.

Sign Up Metropolis: 2038 [M- L, V, and Gore]

Name: Sage "Schicksal" Gunther Age: 17 Occupation: Military Side (Metropolis): Chi If military, what division: Special Ops If military, what rank (title, too, if there is one): Night Ops - Squad Delta Commander Skills: Moderate, practical hacking; stealth; small arms and submachine guns; agility; command; explosives. Sample: Sage vaulted from the rim of the crawlspace access, landing silently in the hallway. He dropped into a low crouch as his eyes quickly swept the dark, desolate corridor for any signs of life. The coast was clear. Sage tapped his microphone twice - the signal for the rest of Delta to follow. Five phantom shapes appeared in a silent pentagon behind Sage. Fanning out against the walls, they covered every possible angle with their silenced pistols. A hand raised; a finger twitched: "Forward." The invisible force proceeded to pad down a hallway destitute of light. Sage recalled the map of the complex; there was a door up on the right; their quarry within. He began to slice the locking mechanism -- "Schick; we're compromised," came into Sage's earpiece. He widthdrew from the keypad and sent a hand signal down the hallway. A window was opened, and six shadows lept through it. The window closed, and as far as the building was concerned, nothing had ever happened. [Edit: Typo.] -
Kyle knocked again, and stuck his head in the doorway. "Hello?" He asked, looking about. Seeing Lily, his eyes widened and he slapped a hand over his face. "Oops, uh. Oh, sorry! Sorry sorry, I didn't know!" Kyle exclaimed nervously. He retreated behind the half-open door. "Hey, uh. Sorry... I was just wondering what you thought about the mission. I didn't mean to disturb you!" OOC: Sorry so short, but I want don't want to do much more without input from Kitty. EDIT: Sorry, Kitty. I was out of it. ^^;

Kyle frowned as he left the meeting. People like that are going to make people like uslook bad.... He shook his head, and decided to go to a weight room to clear his head. Kyle walked down the hall, and turned down another seeming identical hallway. About halfway down that one, he stepped into a small gymnasium, and strolled over to some weightlifting equipment. Kyle picked up a 50 lb. barbel and raised it over his head a few times. When the bar proved too light, he added a few hundred pounds. The weights then proved far too heavy and crashed to the ground, almost ripping Kyle's arms off. 'Wunderbar." he muttered, and decided to walk back to his room. Kyle passed a very tired and sweaty Sakura on the way back, and cast an wary eye in her direction, but otherwise saw no one. He stepped in his room, and closed the door behind him, sighing. Kyle rubbed his shoulder, and plopped down on the bed to make a mental list of what he would need. He smirked evilly to himself. If those guys want to mess with the president, they mess with us. And if they mess with us, I crush them with the weight of a thousand suns!

Real Name: Kyle Adams Codename: Void Place of Birth: Frankfurt, Germany Age: 23 Gender: Male Appearance: Kyle, at first glance, is of generic male stature. He weighs in at about 165lbs., and is 5'11". Long, brown hair hangs down past his brow and into his eyes, persistantly annoying him. He is thin and lean, with wiry limbs; his almost indiscernable muscles belie his strength. His quick, liquid movements give you the illusion that he hardly moves at all... sort of like he just *is* from place to place. As far as clothing, Kyle tends towards his loose, ragged, forest green jacket. Any plain shirt and blue jeans will do nicely for everything else. Personality: Kyle is, at best, a schizophrenic. Depending on some unknown whim, he can be playful and energetic as a puppy, or as serious and volatile as an evil overlord. He is kind and loyal to his friends, no matter what his mood, but shows no mercy to evil and unruly enemies. Bio: The sky switched places with the ground, and Kyle hit the ground, hard, the air whooshing from his lungs. Grimacing in pain, he rose shakily to his feet, and remounted the bycycle. Determined to complete the jump that he and his friends had erected, Kyle pedaled back up the hill. After a reassuring glance to one of his cheering comrades, he pushed off once again. The bike soared off the ramp, and feet into the air. Kyle's expression changed from exitement to terror, as the ground rushed up to meet him. Kyle closed his eyes and braced for an impact that never came. A startled gasp found its way to his ears, and Kyle looked about. Instead of mangling himself against the gravelly ground, he was floating about a meter above it! Years later... "Hey kid!" Kyle turned about in time to see a baseball soaring through the air to meet his face. He added a few hundred pounds to the flying sphere, and it snapped into the ground. "Good." said Chris, "You're coming with us." Superhuman powers: Can use gravitational powers to attract and repel things, or create voids. Weapons/gadgets: Nothing. Mode of transport: He controls gravity! What do ya think? ((Sorry so short! Will edit if necessary!!))

I'm very open as to where my life takes me right now, but I want to help people. There is little more rewarding than making someone's day, or helping someone through troubled times. ^_~

Autumn Grass brown. Leaves gold. Winds that whisper words untold. Gravel rock. Dirt and dust. Find a limb that you can trust. Read a book. In a tree. Epic tales in the words you see. Its this I do, as I write. Autumn. Her When I first saw her, I saw myself. Love isin't something you can take off a shelf. I thought of her constantly, soon after that. Whenever I could, I would stop her and chat. We shared our dreams, and shared delight. We shared our wonder, at the stars one night. Our love was true, then out of the blue... She dumped me. Christmas A chill that whispers, throughout the house. A frozen ground is the whispers spouse. Winter dawns, like light of day. Fragile saplings, can't hold their sway. A frozen blanket, hugs tight the earth. As we warm our hands, beside the hearth.

Name: Tanner Helms Age: 18 Description: Tanner is somewhat tall, at 6'1", and of medium build. He has curly black hair that falls down past his brow sometimes, which annoys him, but he wont cut it any shorter. He is somewhat long in the face, with a thin nose and crows feet around his eyes when he smiles. The previously mentioned eyes that Tanner obviously has, are a dark navy color, and seem to shift hues in different light. For clothing, he opts for anything mellow in color and a loose, comfortable fit. Personality: Tanner mostly keeps to himself, staying away from large crowds and only being his true self around good friends. He shys away from confrontations and tried to be on everyones good side. The friends he does have, are very close and have know each other for years. That security is the main reason Tanner is afraid of making new friends. Probation: Vehicular manslaughter and destruction of Government property. Bio: Tanner was born into a rich, happy family living in an established neighborhood of similarly rich people. Soon after Tanner was born, his father took to drinking excessively and staying out all night. After a year of this, Tanner's mother divorced and won custody of him in court. After leaving the estate, she had little money in comparison. She took Tanner and moved to Idaho, where they lived in an apartment for 10 years. By this time, Tanner was almost 11. The apartment is where Tanner developed his strong bonds to his close group of friends. When a vicious shooting by several students at the school killed 3 of his friends, Tanner and the remainder of their group became totally different people. Gone were the quiet, happy, and book-loving group of honor students. And in their place were a group of smoking, drinking anti-socialists. After one night of raucous drinking and partying, the group was driving home. In his drunken stupor, Tanner didn't notice the intersection at all. A loaded truck smashed into the side of Tanner's van, killing his girlfriend of 4 years and maiming a friend riding in the passenger seat. Tanner went into a rage, and began recklessly driving around town at breakneck speeds. He hit four people, and one of them was killed instantly. Another of the remaining 3 was paralyzed for life, and the last two recovered completely in the hospital. Tanner then careened into a nearby Air Force base, smashing the guardhouse, and wrecking into the central office. The van was totaled, and Tanner was arrested. Gender: Quite obviously, Male. Years at institute: 2

Jassk shook off his nervousness and checked to make sure that his safety harness was secure. Turns out it was, just like the last four times that he checked. Jassk then looked to his surroundings. To his left, sat Mimishi, either asleep with her eyes open or lost in thought. Jureel sat to his right with a faint smirk on his face. Cedrax, who sat across from him, seemed to be surveying the interior of the dropship like Jassk was. Alask also sat opposite of her cousin. Master Kaith stood towards the front, in the cockpit door, leaning against the doorways rim. Past her, and through the transparisteel cockpit window, swirled the blue cascade of hyperspace travel. "Alright, students. We'll be arriving shortly. Run a quick check of your gear, and make sure that you have everything together. We make dirtside in fiften standard minutes," she said over her shoulder, " I want this to go without incident." Oh man. thought Jassk, Last time someone said that, it was my dad, just before we took a family trip. Our ship lost power halfway there, and we drifted for four hours before someone responded to our beacon. "Hey," began Alask, " Remember that family trip that Uncle Fasra took us on when we were younger?"
-
"My god. Ohmygod! We got picked, this is awesome!" shouted Jassk, with an almost boyish excitement about him, " We're going on a mission to the rim!" "Oh, shut up. The rim isin't that amazing," replied Alask, his cousin, " And besides, people died out there. Do you think that this is going to be fun and games?" " Well, you're pumped up. I sure hope that whoever attacked the complex isin't scared by your energetic demeanor!" "Just go get your stuff and meet up with Master Kaith," said Alask. She turned about and strode off cooly to her quarters. Jassk looked after her for a moment, then began walking to his room. He padded around past his bed, and snatched up his satchel, which had some extra robes in it. Tightening his lightsaber belt, Jassk left the room to meet up with the Jedi Master. (OOC : I'm really sorry that this is so short, but I don't have a lot to work with untill other people post a little. I need to see some action from the other characters. ;) I'll definitely make up for it next post.)

Name: Jassk Fey'lya Age: 25 Gender: Male Personality: Although he upholds the Bothan tradition of pride and arrogance when challenged, Jassk is actually one of the nicer Bothans you might meet. Strong minded and charismatic, he would probably leave a lasting impression on you if you met him. Appearance: Jassk is tall and a little stocky, with brown fur and a cream smear around his shoulders and a speckles on his chest. Unmanagable fur plagues him. Bio: Jassk is Alask's cousin, and junior by two years. He was born on Bothawui, but his family moved to Mon Calimari after striking rich in a galactic lottery. Opon reaching the age of 15, he decided to move back to Bothawui to join the Bothan Martial Academy. He graduated near the tops of his class, and got a security job at Commenor. When Jassk turned 24, he bought passage offworld to see his parents. Shortly after arriving on Mon Calimari, he recieved a message from the Jedi Academy stating that he had force potential. Although he had never even had the faintest inkling that he could be force potent, Jassk decided to go anyways. And here we are... Lightsaber colour and type: Single saber. Blue-white blade. Most likely to turn to: Dark Side or Light Side OOC : Not trying to be unoriginal, Ozymandius. RPGs are just more interesting to me when characters have a base of interaction. If you want to be the sole, almighty Bothan, tell me, and I'll make a different character.

Name: Alex Coppers Age: 28 Gender: Male Appearance: Alex is tall forboding figure of medium stature. He has wavy brown hair doused with black specks. The neat and precise haircut is short and only goes as low as his neck in the back. His eyes are hazel flecked with gold, and he is of a light complexion. He wears grey pants, with a white shirt under a grey blazer. Alex weighs about 145lbs and is 6'3". Role: Government Official. Character Excerpt: Ending his roll into a low crouch, Alex fired off three quick shots from his pistol before the return fire had him scrambling. The hastily snapped shots sheared through the plastic and metal of one andriod's face, ripping through and throwing busted componets out the back of its head. Sliding to a stop behind a ruined pillar just as hundred of rounds shattered the opposite face of it, Alex studied his situation. Several dozen of the machines were about 20 meters away, on the other side of his cover. Six more were rounding a corner off to his right. As soon as they cleared the corner, Alex would be shredded by the flanking fire. He quickly tossed an incendiary grenade just shy of the corner, evaporating the advancing enemies, and made off to safety under cover of the ensuing cloud of phosphorus. -
Gaming Which new generation systems will fail?
Grunt Salesman replied to Morpheus's topic in Noosphere
I would have to say that X-Box 2 will fail unless Microsoft adress the problems from the original X-Box like size, weight and other problems. I have to also say that the PSP because besides from a few extra features than the DS it is nothing big because it has no backward compatibility unlike the DS which allows the playing of GBA games. The X-Box relied on Halo to drive it at first and since Microsoft has denounced backward compatibility then the only games they can play are the ones for X-Box 2 not X-Box 1. That is my Rant on the consoles which will fail and PS3 may fail if they denounce Backward Compatibility. From the pits of Melbourne to bring the dirt on consoles, DN.
There are NO problems with the Xbox's "size and weight". I want a big heavy console. It makes it feel American. It makes the console feel like it wont fall apart in my hands *coughPS2cough*. It makes it the juggernaut of gaming that the Xbox is today. The Xbox 2 WILL have backwards compatability, you people need to read your current articles. I read that stuff a few months, and Bill Gates has recently confirmed backwards compatability in an interview :D. The Xbox is the most powerful console on the market by far. Just sheer raw power. Power that allows developers to make games as good as they can, and not be restricted by Sony's weak hardware. The Xbox2 will have upwards of 10 times as much power. See how good Halo 2's graphics are? Halo 2.5 for the Xbox 2 is going to have at least 3 times the resolution on textures, and much higher poly models. The lightmaps are being redone to be so good as to toll even the Xenon. The Microsoft team isin't trying to take over the market or make all of this money, they're trying to give people a good console, that wont fall apart in your hands *coughSONYcough*. I don't think any will necessarily fail, but I think that the Xbox 2 will be worth my money. :) I might buy a PS3 if Sony doesn't make another pile of crap like the PS2. -
Gaming What are your 3 Favorite Gaming companies?
Grunt Salesman replied to Morpheus's topic in Noosphere
My favorite gaming company of all time would have to be Bungie. They gave me the golden paradise called Halo, (even if Halo 2 wasn't as good) which I still play all of the time, even though I got it in 2001. Then Lucas Arts. I'm a sucker for Star Wars games, although not all are good. I love KOTOR and KOTOR2, and I just got Mercenaries. That is an exellent game. Last but not least, Valve. Counter Strike is almost as addictive as Halo, but its all multiplayer goodness. Who knows how many hours I've logged in on Counter Strike Source. And Half Life 2 is the most realistic game I've ever seen. Its fun to just kick boxes and spin merry-go-rounds because everything acts realistically. :) -
Funny! Good job, man. Make another! I need something to make me laugh when I wake up. ;)

My topic got locked because I forgot my rating. Well, there it is. T_T I didn't forget this time! This is my first RPG here, so go easy on me. You can be pretty much anyone you want, you're not restricted to the characters in the intro. Enjoi Backstory The year 2103. The Earth Federation Government (EFG) has spread its influence across systems throughout the galaxy. Hundreds of planets are colonized by bold pioneers, seeking adventure and freedom. The EFG's program has selected only specific government officials, from cultured countries, making sure that the government on the new colony runs smoothly. Sometimes, it does not. The need for a naval fleet arose when several nuclear warheads were tracked coming in-system, just outside of Mars. The warheads were most obviously targeted at Earth. Nasa launched remote controlled craft to disable and dismantle the warheads. Tracking their route, the Nasa techs found the origin of the nukes. The US president sent transmissions to the colony, and was answered by static. One month later, a group of colonist space vessels jumped in-system, from the same origin as the nukes. When hailed by Earthen dry docks, the craft fired missles at the stations, and were destroyed by Earthen oribital defenses. The EFG unanimously voted to declare war on the colony. A year later, the Earthen Expansionary Defense Fleet was assembled. Featuring pilots from the planet's top air forces, the starfighters were exceptionally formidable. Two capitol ships, 300 meters from bow to aft, were constructed to be the heart of the fleet. They jumped towards the colony Orion A2. The fleet reverted to realspace, and was greeted by a horrible sight. The once green and beautiful planet, was gray and brown. What few trees that were left were in isolated pockets of forest, usually near a sea. The atmosphere was thick with smog. The two moons orbiting it were drilled through and through with mining shafts and pockmarked by craters. A mass of turbolasers protruded from an iron ring around the planet. The Earthen ships were immediately under fire. The Unity Flame was destroyed before the klaxons could even notify the pilots to launch. The Harbinger soon followed. But not before two squadrons of fighters were launched from its bays. With grim faces, and hearts full of dread, the squadrons arced around towards the defence ring. Brilliant green light darted all about the fighters, but their agility and slim design prevailed. After loosing an entire payload of Havok Ion Missiles at the ring, the fighters turned about and raced away, gaining distance for another pass. By the second pass, an enemy picket fleet had picked up signals from the defense ring, and microjumped into range. The fighters began breaking formation in an attempt to surround the picket ships. Lumbering capitol ships, half the size of Rhode Island loosed huge volleys of missiles that destroyed half of the fighters in short lived blossoms of flame. Tai Kuricho commed his wingmate, Amy Daniels. "Four, there's no way we can win this! We have to-" "Keep fighting!" "No! If we fight, we die. Honor is of no-" Tai was cut off as an explosion rocked his ship, drowning his words in static. "Honor doesn't matter right now Amy! We have to try and survive" Amy was about to reply, untill she saw her lifelong friend and other wingmate, Jacob Land, die in a blinding flash. "We'll 'crash' on the planet. Hopefully th-" Another explosion sent Tai's fighter tumbling off to the right, before he stabalized it. "Hopefully they will think we died in the crash" "Yeah...whatever Lead. I'll relay the message." Amy killed the channel and relayed the message to the remaining members of Tai's squadron. I hope I can do this... Tai though as he pulled the fail-safe fuse under the control panel, and maxed his engines well beyond their limits. His engines soon exploded in a blue cascade and a shower of steel. The fighter rocked, then began to tumble as a secondary explosion followed. Amy and her remaining wingmate detonated the remaining missles in their wingtips, and were sent spiraling towards the surface of Orion A2. Whispering a small prayer to herself. She aimed the nose of the fighter at one of the planets remaining forests, and closed her eyes... Tai tryed to match Amy's vector, but realized it would be too obvious. He still tweaked in her direction a few degrees, hoping they wouldn't be too far apart when they crashed. If they lived, of course. Alex, one of the remaining members of the squadron, who had blown his missle payload with Amy, angled for one of the planets few remaining seas. "If only I can land near the coast of that forest, maybe I can live off of the native fruits... Or maybe i'll miss the ocean entirely and get impaled on a tree. Oh well" His fighter began to shed sheets of brilliant flame as he entered A2's atmosphere. ************************************************** The first thing that Tai saw when he woke up was a very large pair of solid black eyes. "Is that a monkey on my freaking head?!" He shook the primate off, and sat halfway up, grimacing at the pain. Looking around himself, he saw that his ship had crashed in a desert. He looked at the sun to get his bearings, then surveyed the landscape. To the east was a forest, to the west a range of very tall, dark mountains. "Amy is probably dead. And Alex. Probably Max too..." He sighed to himself, and crawled away from the smoking streak of glassed sand his crash had made. Standing up, regardless of the stab of pain in his ribs, Tai began trudging towards the distant treeline of the forest. Alex awoke with a start. His vision slowly came into focus and he began to make sense of the green blurs around him. "Well. I hit the damned forest." His gaze traveled slowly up, coming to a stop on the twisted metal and glass of his downed fighter in the canopy above him. He scrambled out of the way. Footsteps echoed in the forest behind him. Alex jumped to his feet and spun about. The trees and bushes were swaying at the edge of clearing. Alex gritted his teeth and prepared to fight anyone, or anything, that might come out. He couldn't hide a grin when it was none other than Amy. "Well. I bet I know who didn't die!" Alex exclaimed, beaming. "It'll take more than a crash straight into a planet going four hundred miles an hour to kill me." Amy smiled back. "You know...the others might be alive, since we are." "Don't get your hopes up." "Yeah...well, we should get some wood and make a fire or something. Thats what stranded people always do on the Holos." Alex and Amy jogged off into the woods to gather dry wood. Rules and Whatnot Okay. No one directly kill another character. You can dive off a cliff for all I care, just don't mandatorily drag someone with you. For signups I'll need what character you want to be, or a completely new character and their Name, Sex, Age, and backstory. You CAN be people from Orion A2.

I'm annoyed by the cliche Main Guy and Main Girl always have differences, but like each other and never say so. =.= Its so redundant.

I hope I can do this... Tai though as he pulled the fail-safe fuse under the control panel, and maxed his engines well beyond their limits. His engines soon exploded in a blue cascade and a shower of steel. The fighter rocked, then began to tumble as a secondary explosion followed. Amy and her remaining wingmate detonated the remaining missles in their wingtips, and were sent spirailing towards the surface of Orion A2. ************************************************************** The first thing that Tai saw when he woke up was a very large pair of solid black eyes. ************************************************************** Um...thats pretty much it. This is the first time I've started an RPG, and I don't really know everything I'm supposed to do... C&C welcome... You can be anyone pretty much. I'm Max (Yeah...he's alive) and anyone who joins can be any of the crashed pilots. Maybe one or two more that I haven't mentioned. Characters from Orion A2. You know... Orion has captians and pilots and government officials too! And we have the people searching for the pilots... Ect. Reply if you want to join.
