What is the most embarassing thing that has happened to you?
celestialcharm replied to a topic in General Discussion
Another embarassing happened to me today. Today was the awards assembly, and I got two awards. I got the award for cooking class, and I got on the honour roll. Well, a girl that was sitting next to me, was all nervous and such and hoped that she wouldn't fall. I hoped I wouldn't fall too! So, when I got my honour roll certificate, there were these balloons by the end of the stage. They where right by the stairs to go down. So, as I walked off the stage, I walked into those balloons. I got caught in them, so I started to hit them. My brother who was in the school band, saw the whole fiasco, and started laughing at me. I'm sure that the whole school saw me nearly tripping because of those evil balloons! But, I laughed about it, because my brother was laughing at me, as he told the person who was sitting beside him that I nearly fell because of the balloons. In the end, I didn't fall. Which was good. But, instead of only thinking about falling off the stage people, worry about getting caught in the decorations too! :animesmil -

Our Education Department [i.e. for the whole state] is considering, or has, implemented legislation that... well, from next year we need to wear school shirts and pants and all that kind of stuff. This is for public schools, by the way.
My Secondary School is going to do the same thing. People in my school, look like thugs. Some of them aren't following the rest of the dress code, so uniforms for us... From what my mom told me (she's a member or the PTA :animeswea ) we are probably going to have the full uniform, with a dress shirt, pants, skirts, vests etc. They will most likely be navy blue, light blue and white. Personally, I don't have a problem with uniforms. Although, they are expensive, I think that it would make people more concerned about their personal hygiene. Some people in my school, have hygiene problems, so I would think that people would be washing the uniform more frequently. Plus, to me, uniforms look cute. But, uniforms, or no uniforms, people are always going to break the rules! But, at least they have more time to plot how they are going to break them, since they don't have to spend any time in the morning deciding what to wear, if we all wore uniforms.

What is the most embarassing thing that has happened to you?

Two really embarassing things happened to me! In grade 8, I had to go to the dentist on one of my day's off. My friend, used to come over, because her mom had to work and her mom didn't like her home alone. So, it was my sister, my friend and I who went to take me to the dentist. I hate dentists, but I was forced to go because I had to get my cavity filled. I got it filled, but, they used to much of the mouth numbing stuff (I don't remember what it's callled.) Well, since we we're downtown, we went to go see Harry Potter. So, in order to see the movie, we had to go on the subway to the mall. Since my mouth was half-frozen, and stayed like that for the next day or so :animeangr, I looked like I was a 'special' girl. On the subway, I was talking to my friend, but I talked slurred, because of my half numb mouth. Some woman was just staring at me! To make matters worse, when I walked through the mall, we saw a group of guys. When we walked passed them, one of them was like my friend likes you! But, he was really making fun of me because of my messed up looking mouth! :animeangr Then, in grade 9, there was a school dance. I was dancing with a couple of my gal pals in the centre of the cafeteria. I was so into the music, that I was wining myself up. One of my friends tried to tell me something, but I was so into the music. I even saw a group of the ghetto girls just watching me, but I was thinking "Oh ya, I know I look good" because I was very naurcisstic back then. So, I felt someone bump me. I was like  Then, my friend who was trying to tell me something pulled me away with my friend's and said that I was bubbling against a guy as he was bubbling some girl! My friend's laughed about it, eventhough I was so embarassed that I was on the brink of tears! So, for the rest of the year, they acted like I had a crush on him, and he thought so too! Once he was talking to one of my friend's which was his cousin. My friends and I were at the table and talking when they gave each other that look. So, he looked at me and left the table. They all laughed after that too! -

- so he made his way as a male prostetute, specifically the male prostetute of Mary Queen of Scots, her favourite, which is why its so well documented.
I had no idea she had prostitutes! The only thing intreasting I hear my relatives did, was that one of them might have been a rum runner, but it's unspoken in my family. Well, my ancestries that I have are: On my Mom's side: Afro-Caribbean Irish English East Indian I think Chinese too... On my Dad's side: Afro-Caribbean English Scandinavian I probabably have some more, but I'm not sure which ones.

Hmmm.. I never saw this anime before, but: Guy: "Tell me where you're hiding the Halloween candy or else I'll torture you with this cotton ball wand!" Girl: "No,please not the cotton! Anything but the cotton! I'll break into hives! Hives I tell you! Hives!"

I always use the name 'celestialcharm' or 'DigiChar.' I decided to use 'celestialcharm' for OB though. I got the name from the dictionary. I like the letter 'C' because my name is 'Charlene' that starts with a 'C' so I went to the C section :haha: of the dictionary. I liked the word 'celestial', which means in or of the sky;heavenly;divine. I wanted another word attached to it so I picked the word 'charm,' which means fascination, an object bringing luck or a trinket on a bracelet. So together it means: 1. Heavenly/divine fasination 2. Heavenly/divine object bringing luck 3. Heavenly/divine trinket on a bracelet (The bracelet could symbolise earth) Yup, I considered myself all of these back in grade 9. I used to be very narcisstic, and kind of vain but I still love this name, and it just stuck on. :animeswea

Anime Anime Conventions: Let's hear it!
celestialcharm replied to Sage Kaley's topic in Otaku Central
I went to my first con this summer! Cons are very fun! I saw many cosplayers, and saw lots of anime in the screening rooms. I suggest that if you read manga, buy it at the con because it's cheaper, and no tax. I got to talk to alot of random people. I'm warning you that many people are very outgoing and hyper. I saw someone get a random glomp (it was so funny!) I guess they really liked the person's costume. Also, you should bring a camera if you want to take pictures of cosplayers. And you should bring food (if you remember to eat), because your most likely going to blow all your money on merchandise. I know I did. :animeswea Ah, I have no crazy con stories I can tell you about! The only thing that stayed in my mind was a cosplayer that portrayed a perfect Sesshomaru, an eight year old doing a booty shake in a skit (that was very disturbing), my brother's friend laughing and wispering to my brother 'Kira!' loudly (in a quiet theatre too) because of a person in some anime called 'Fafner' looking like him, a pimpin Miroku, Ayame from 'Fruits Basket' with a little Yuki-mouse toy, a giant Chewie (really tall and looked intimidating), fan girls and boys yelling 'Yaoi-ie!' and I think the thing that stayed in my mind the most (I still laugh when I remember it) is a shirt that said "Will Yuri for Yaoi." :haha: I hope you have fun at your first con! I know I did! -
You know who makes the syrup Stuart... Your sharing a boarder with her! I live in Quebec, Canada right now. Have my entire life. The area I live in is called the Eastern Townships, wich is basically a collection of Townships, Bergs, and the like. They vary in size from very large to minsicule... and I live in one of the miniscule ones. Goes by the name of Foster. Very remote, not many people and those are spread out amongst a large area. But it's one of the most beautiful locations your likely to find. I wouldn't live anywhere else.
I went to Quebec City, and I loved it! It was so nice! The pictures I took looked like it was off a post card. Now, I live in Ontario, Canada. I've been living in the same city and house for my whole life. I like living here because it's very multicultural. I learned how to swear in so many languages. Another plus is that people in my school are idiots, so around every holiday, the set off fireworks in the school. The set some off the other day... I got out of class because it set off the fire alarm (which is bad), but it was so cold outside! :animeangr But, what I love about Canada, is the four seasons! It gives me something to complain about. Like the fact that someone couldn't set off the alarm on a nice day.

If someone gave you $1,000,000 what would you do with it?
celestialcharm replied to a topic in General Discussion
First, I'd give some to pay off my older sisters' university, and pay off their OSAP. Then, I'd save some to pay for my brother's univeristy education, and mine. I'd save some to pay for my school trip to France and Spain. I'd give some money to my parents because they're on sick leave. They could use the money to pay off bills, and for whatever else. I'd also use it to buy out my neighbour's house because I live in a semi-detached house. Then, I'd renovate them and make an the ultimate house, so we all can have our own rooms! (I share with my two older sisters when they come home from school.) The rest of the money I have, I'd use to buy a DDR machine, a PS2 and put the rest to collect interest in the bank. BUT, another thing that is a must, is that I'd pay to get my driver's liscence and I'd pay for my brother's too! -
Moody in highschool... how regular are YOUR breakdowns?
celestialcharm replied to Skye's topic in General Discussion
I don't think I ever had a highschool breakdown until recently. I don't cry or anything, I just kind of zone out and just sit around and do nothing. Currently, I have a hard time doing my homework. I don't have trouble doing the actual work, I just start it at 9:00pm when, back in grade 9, I used to always start my homework after school. Also, I just don't want to do it. Plus, I'm even worse at doing projects. I'm a procrastinator, but it's getting really bad. I have an assignment due tomarrow, and I'm here reading posts. I barely even started...and I don't even care! But, every once in awhile, I just randomly start to worry. My anxiety, got really bad this summer, so in class I start thinking that I feel sick when I'm really not sick! It's more of a nuisance more than anything. But, I suppose we all have our breakdowns every once in awhile... -

You don't really see a lot of guys becoming anorexic/committing suicide because they're peers are pressuring them.
When women are anorexic to fit this image of a 'perfect women' it pisses me off! I hate how they feel they need to be skinny to get a guy. My cousin tried to commit suicide because of her peers and such! There's just so much pressure on us. Now, about me, I'm female. My mom was the one who was working in my house, and my dad I would say is a stay at home dad. My mom is the one who makes most of the desicions and stuff. To me, being female yes I can do practically anything guys can do, but I still have a disadvantage(but don't we all?) Yes, I can bear kids, but I can't even go out without my parents worrying. My parents act differently with my brother than my sisters and I. He is able to stay out pretty late, but they act like we're doing something when we stay out late. I also got a lecture a couple days ago because my mom saw one of my girl friend's in the mall who was hugging her guy friend. My friend even said hi to my mom (not ignoring her but acknowledging her presence) , but my mom over reacted. She came home to complain to me, and said I shouldn't be doing those things. I bet if I was caught hugging a guy friend other than a family relation, they'd think I was pregnant! So, anyways, my mom and dad lectured me about how, 'This is how things start! First it's hugging, then it's getting yourself into trouble!" I bet if it was one of my brother's friend's they wouldn't say anything. Maybe, it's just how they were raised. But, being a female also means that I can choose to get married, could choose if I want to be a stay at home mom or work if I have kids and have a right to an education. Also, the right to vote when I'm of age!

Jokes - You got any you want to share?

Fantasy Job: A Mediator. It would be so cool to talk, see, and touch ghost. I would either pester them, or ask them how their lives were. Plus, I'd have some kooky adventures trying to get them to the other side. Reality Job: A Geologist. I really like plate tectonics, natural land formations, and the rock cycle. Yeah, to some it may be boring, but to me, I become a maniac. A plus is that I'd get to travel...

How do you pronounce your username?
celestialcharm replied to DBZgirl88's topic in General Discussion

Anyway, my username is actually a french word. So it is pronounced "sha-bee-shoo". I bet half of the members here have been thinking the whole time that it's "cha-bee-choo".
I don't even know how I was pronouncing your name. I think it varied from day to day. Well anyhoo, My sn is easy to pronounce. All you have to do is break it down and sound it out: See-less-tea-al charm :animesmil But, I kinda slur it together for some reason. :animeswea So I make it sound more like Seless-tial Charm. -

What are you going to be for halloween?
celestialcharm replied to Starr112's topic in General Discussion
I went to my sister Harvest Party yesterday, and I went as an angel who helps the poor and needy, the 'Homeless Angel'. They said I actually looked like I was off the streets. I even wore a Halo. I went to the supermarket with my sister who was dressed as my opposite, the angel who attends to the Rich and the Famous, a 'Haute Cotaure Angel', my cousin who was dressed up as 'Rhea', and my other cousin, who dressed up as 'The Tree of Knowledge' along with a stuffed animal, brown snake and kept trying to temp me with her apple! :animeswea People kept staring at us. But, it's all good. Maybe, I'll go to school like that tomarrow. But, the funniest costume I had seen so far, was my sister's friend. Ok, her pose was that her head was down, she was wearing her hood and her arms spread out. She was dressed in pink, had two pink wash puffs attached to her wrists, and two white plates attached to her wrists too, that she held up in her hands. She was a uterus, of someone in the bible who had twins! :rotflmao: -

How much do you care about your grades?[/FONT']
Before, I didn't really care much about my grades, but now, I'm in grade 11. In order to get into the program I want in university, I need to have a 80% average, plus I have to take Calculus and two of Biology, Chemistry or Physics. So I really care about my grades so much, but I'm too lazy to study...
Why do they sterilize needles for lethal injections? It just seems kind of pointless to me.
I think they do, only because it's against health regulations not to.

The Simpsons. It's been sliding into mediocrity for years now, and at the current rate doesn't look like it'll get any better. The Golden Age of The Simpsons are gone, just let the damn show die. Then again, it's such a fan favourite people will watch it even if it's utter trash, so I guess Fox won't lose that cash cow any time soon.[/size']
Yes! I feel almost sorry for it, because it's almost embarassing to watch now. I think Oprah needs to come off. I mean it's a good talk show, but it's just so dry now! They need to have me as a guest, or have those Harry Potter come back on. They just need to do something to make it exciting again! Reboot needs to die too! I used to love it, but now it's like a neverending nightmare! It keeps on repeating itself, again and again and again! Canadian idol, why can't you die?! It's so cheap, and I don't even think anyone is watching it and American I idol should come off too. As long as it keeps running, I think Canadian Idol will keep coming on..

I haven't even been thinking about Christmas! I'm still thinking about how to make my halloween costume...Well, here's my list:

Go to Florida. I was supossed to go, but that ain't happening due to my crazy cousin visiting, and my mom's 50th birthday. I was going to go to the beach and Disneyland! :animecry: I can still wish, right?
Fruits Basket Vol. 12- I have Vol. 1-11, so I just have to get 12!
Clothes- you can never have too much clothes!
Winter boots- I didn't buy any winter boats last year, but this winter is going to be freezing!
The Mediator Series- I love that series sooo much!
Blank CDs- You can never have too much blank cds.
Cut Patterns- I want to start sewing, so I need some patterns.
Good Grades- I used to be so smart (well kind of), but now, I'm doing bad at school! I can't get into University, for Geology with an average below 80%! :animeangr
But most of all, MONEY! I need money to go Boxing Day shopping and get my sales!! ;) Edit: I forgot to add:
Laminator- I started to make bookmarks again, and I could only laminate one side of the bookmark properly! So, having a laminator would be useful. Expessially since now people have seen my hidden talent and want one too.

In Civics my teacher taught us that we all have the right to freedom of speech, but as long as it's not hateful to others, like rascism and stuff, then it's against the law. I'm not to sure if I'm right but, I think she said something like that. I was only half paying attention in class.

These kids nowadays know wayyy more stuff then I do! They look and act much older then they are. When I was at work once, they're was a girl who looked like she was 18, but she was really 10!!! Maybe because of all the child laws out there, parents aren't disiplining their kids as they used to...and all the media out there is corrupting them. It also could be that maybe because that the parents of the children are not there (because they work more expecially with these gas prices!) to watch them as much. More families are single parent families and dysfunctional. I on the other hand, am only 16, but I look like I'm 12! It's like a reverse of natural order or something... :animeswea

I was wondering what happend to that thread! No, because the good games never come! Lol, I think it might come in a year or so. My question, why do dogs sniff everything? I went to the mall, and there was a dog that was sniffing the floor while the owner was dragging it on. :animeswea
