HA ha hah ah hah ha!! OMG! This brings back so many memories! :animesmil in elementary school me and a few of my friends would play Canonball (or Slingshot). It starts with one person lying flat on the ground. Then, two people came; one picked up the persons arms and the other one picked up the person's legs. The two would lift the person up and swing the person back and forth. We counted to five and the two holding the person's legs would launch the kid as far as they could (or picking a target and launching the person at someone or something and see if you could hit it) he he he lol very fun times  Another was a game the school actually had to ban and threaten students with OSS'. The game was called Red Rover. Two lines of people standing side by side faced paralell to each other. The people in the lines grabbed each others arms forming a barrier. The lines stood about 50 paces away from the other. Then going from left to right each person would chant(or in our school's case the populars) "red rover, red rover, send ____ right over" (fill in name of person of opposite line). The person could agree or not and if he/she did he had to run as hard as he could and break through the arm barrier. If he/she succeeded he went back to his line and took one person back with him/her. The game ends when the other line has no more links. This game ended with many bruises and scrapes. A few kids arms got broken...but it was very fun! :animesmil My 10th grade year in highschool I went to a party. My friends' boyfriends and mine got drunk and left to go do stuff cause they were bored.(We had to run because to pigs crashed the party so we were walking around town) So we (my friends) decided to start walking home. Then, when a semi past us we heard a slpat. We went back and found that our boyfriends had some how got unto the roof of a building with paint cans. They were throwing painted-filled paint cans at trucks... :animeswea and laughing their butts off. Me and my friends laughed a bit too. We were so caught up in the moment that we didn't pay attention to our surroundings. Our boyfriends went to jail...

Wow...very interesting thread!!! ^-^ I've had a bunch of dreams with anime characters in them....hmmm..I remember in one of my dreams it was kind of a random anime characters/ Star Wars thing. I was in my 7th grade Science class and it was normal until I noticed to my right that Sesshomaru and Inuyasha were having a glare match. Sesshomaru had a whole bunch of spitballs in his hair and Inuyasha was trying to contain his laughter. Up front, my teacher turned into Darth Vader and was fighting the text book. Then I noticed someone laughing and turned to my left. Miroku, Wolfwood, Vash, Krillian, and Dou were sitting in a circle passing around a joint. They were laughing their a** off at Yugi as he was being chased by evil kuribos and man-eater bugs that yami Bakura summoned. He was laughing on the floor. Then Luke Skywalker walks in and starts fighting Kuwabara....then I woke up.

"Confusion" by Janne Da Arc I like a lot of other bands/singers like Gackt, Koshi Inaba, GLAY, BoA, and Do As Infinity. :D I really like GARNET CROW, Ayumi Hamasaki, and Gackt.

Careers: What's more important to you?
Kurai Ookami replied to Kurai Ookami's topic in General Discussion
What about you Kurai Ookami, what is more important to you? The career itself or the paycheck?
My mother always told me that unless I become rich and make a name for myself, I would never be happy. She says if I'm rich than I wouldn't have to worry about anything. She also used to constantly tell me to marry someone rich. I remember her always trying to set me up with these guys...*shudders*.. :nope: I think she's wrong. I believe that I will never truly be happy until I've found a job that makes me happy. I could care less how much money I make, as long as it's enough to support myself. I could probably understand where my mom is coming from with her beliefs. But I'm not living in the same conditions she did. My mom came from a poor country and worked since she was like 5 or 6. She's been working her whole life, she's still working hard now. She just doesn't want me to struggle through life. But, yeah...I think the career is more important. :D -
Hey there people! :D I just wanted to know: What's more important to you? A career that makes you happy or a career that is high paying? Please explain why.

I'm part Japanese, Phillipina, and Scottish. My father is 100% Scottish and my mother is 1/2 Phillipina, 1/2 Japanese. I have japanese eyes and asian features, black and brown hair, slightly tanned white skin, and freckles...but for some reason that confuses the hell outa me, random people are always coming up to me asking if I'm Native American. My taste in food is kinda weird. I'm proud to say some of the stuff I eat makes my friends hurl. :D :blulaugh: he he he. My father was in the military for a long time so I grew up eating what my mom cooked. :) I think the only traits I inherited from my father was his white skin, freckles, and the way he's always calm and collected. Unlike my mother, my sister, and practically all my phillipino cousins/relatives, I'm not loud or obnoxious. ( I'm just basing the facts from what I see in my family, I'm not trying to offend anyone.) My relatives on my mom's side and my sister are really loud, have annoying and even louder laughs (I don't think you can call it a laugh...it's more like yelling) , talk way too much (and way too fast), and have really short fuses. Don't get me wrong, I love my family. I love them to death. My dad was adopted, so my mom's side is basically all I got (they might as well be two familys put together though...you wouldn't belive how many cousins and aunts and uncles I have  ). We are very family oriented. I remember growing up in California, we'd always have big get togethers and feists. Very fun! :) :D I really miss those days...but now I live on the other side of the country so it's hard to visit. My parents are always busy. Sometimes my cousins visit, but I miss everyone. :(

Hey, cool thread! ^-^ Anyways, I've had a bunch of weird dreams. I had this dream just recently: I'm in my house at night doing a protection spell, when all of a sudden these preists barge into my room with crosses and holy water. I run out of my room searching for my dad to kick them out but I just wind back in my room as if nothing happened. Confused I walk out of my room again, opening all the doors in search out anyone I know or those stupid priests. I come to a door and there's a cat. It starts talking to me, its eyes were glowing red. It tells me something about watching my back. It runs off and then I see light coming from the door the cat disappeared into and sounds of ripping paper. I open the door to find those stupid priests that barged into my room before. They seem to not notice me or maybe I was invisible....either way they didn't know I was there. The priests were ripping pages out of the Bible for some reason. I think they were rewriting it (the Bible) I think. I couldn't hear their voices, but I could kinda read their lips. They burned the pages they were ripping out and only wrote down, what I think ,were only what they thought were important. That cat showed up again and killed the preists with paper airplanes (don't ask) It then came to me and started rubbing on my legs purring and licking my feet as if nothing happened. And that's when I woke up. Weird isn't it?

Anime At what age did you start watching anime?
Kurai Ookami replied to Elk's topic in Otaku Central
I started watching anime when I was...hmmm..I think I was 8 or 9. I remember I was in 3rd grade, so close enough! ^-^ I watched Escaflowne, Sailor Moon, and I remember sometimes watching Aeon Flux with my brother. Those were very fun times! Me and my friends would act out episodes and fight scenes. ^-^ Anime was very different from the cartoons I used to watch, the characters seemed real and I liked that. What those shows also had were cool fighting scenes. I grew up spending lots of time with my brother and we'd always watch Bruce Lee and old martial art movies. It was kinda exciting to find cartoons that incorporated that kind of stuff. I have my brother to thank for turning me into an anime fan. ^-^ As time went on I started watching Toonami and Midnight Run on Cartoon Network. That was when I turned into a Gundam Wing fan and started getting into Mecha. Today I'm still an anime and manga fan, and I don't think I'll ever stop being one! ^-^ -
I now live in Wisconsin, and it really sucks. I live practically in the middle of nowhere and I'm surrounded by hicks...it's very annoying. :grumble: It's too cold here, I miss California. :(
