Women are prefectly capable of being leaders, same as men. It doesn't matter what gender, race, etc. you are. It all matters how you handle things. But will one be president? Probably not, at least not soon. Unless people become more open-minded. But, like Retribution said, they'd probably be stuck up to the neck in sand. Sorry to say. Well, the point is to defend yourself. But if it's legal to carry a gun, there is also the potential to be hurt as well. It's a lose-lose situation. But so is the other side of it. If it's illegal, people will be carrying them around conceiled, and you won't know if you're going to be shot (though that happens anyway), and you'll have no way to defend yourself (if you're nice and follow the rules). Or if somebody comes at you with a knife, you'd probably have no way to defend yourself either. But really, I don't think anyone would come at you with a knife if they could have a gun. There is no upside to either one, or downside. It's all crap, and we have to deal with it. Oh well.

Finally, something I've been wanting to get off of my chest. It's great when you can say it to your friends, as a friend kind of love. And it's always fun to joke too. But then there's the serious kind of relationship love. That is something I don't like being messed around with, because then it gets all messed up, people get mad and leave, and you're left wondering what just happened. I've been told I was loved before. Really, by a potential boyfriend. I turned him down though. I didn't like him that way, but he still (after a year) insists. I'm tiring of it. Yes, I know that sounds horrible, but if you were in on some of the things that has been said, you would too. All I'm saying is. Be sure of it. Don't rush to say it, because it's serious. What if you say it, but realize later you were wrong? And, after that complete load of crap... I'm leaving well enough alone. :animesigh

As I was reading this, I was tempted to say, 'They're all either gay or married already!' But really, they aren't. Because they aren't getting enough attention. A lot of girls fall into the trend of liking the 'bad boys'. Where's that likely to get you? A thousand dollars in dept to the local gang and/or government. No, not really. The bad boys are fun. But so are the good guys. And you can have fun just going to the park. I know that all the good guys aren't taken, 'cause I've got one. And he's always willing to listen, always lends a shoulder, and is an all around good guy. He's great. I'll always be willing to give a toast for the good guys. :)

Though it might be a little weird and awkward (sp?) at first for a friend of mine to suddenly say hi to me in a male (or female) body, that's fine. I'd get used to it. Besides, guys are more fun (usually). Though their personality wouldn't be changed, so they'd be basically the same. Don't judge a book by it's cover, and all that jazz. ;)

Heh, I'm gonna try to make this short and sweet. I'm female, fourteen years old (fifteen in April). I'm from a city in Arizona (don't tell me that 90 degrees is hot! :bellylol: )- I've got three siblings. Younger brother, eight, and a pain in the butt. He's a maniac for sports, and could probably name all the people on the Arizona teams (though who would really want to know?). Younger sister, twelve, complete prep. Loves to cuss, loves her make-up and accessories, and won't stop being an *** to me. Ooh, feel the love. Older brother, nineteen, also a pain in the butt. He's had a LOT of hard times, made our lives practically a living hell, but I still manage to love him. Go figure. Alright, other stuff. I absolutely LOVE fanfiction (I spend most of my time reading it). Most of the fanfics I read are shounen-ai, but hey, to each her own. I love to draw, and I'm at least getting better at it. I write, fanfics and actual stories, and I don't think I'm horrible at it... I hope. The internet is half of my life (though it is sad), and anime and manga are the other half. Thank you for reading my not-so-short, not-very-sweet, almost life story. ;)

Global warming, pullution, etc. The meaning of life... There are so many that make sense. We all have different thoughts and opinions on what the meaning is, and since there is no such thing as 'right', there IS no meaning to life. Heh, did you get what I mean?

I don't like porn. At all. Really, why lose yourself in something that isn't real? It's all not real, it was made for the enjoyment of people who seem to have not much better to do, it's all a fantasy put into tape/picture/etc. But as for the girls... I guess they like their bodies on display. Maybe it makes them feel good about themselves, that somebody likes their body enough to look at it, even though they'll never know who.

Someday, our kids won't even know what a tape is. Nor why we would condemn homosexuality. Or what the hell we were thinking when we put innocent people into slavery so many years ago. I support gays fully. Gay marriage, love is love, if they are going to go through with it, love each other 'till death, what's wrong with that? That's marriage. Nobody should interfere with that. As said, church and government are supposed to stay apart. What right does the government have to get rid of same-sex marriages? The gay thing, I think, is a preferance. Why do we like some foods over others? One personality type next to another? It's preferance. And as for the adoption thing. As long as they have money for support, aren't drug-addicts or anything like that, they have just as much right as anyone to adopt a kid.

This probably isn't a New York Times bestseller, but I absolutely [B]loved[/B] this book. It's called Uglies, and it's by Scott Westerfeld. It's about a world where average means ugly. Everyone, until you turn 16, is considered ugly and live in UgliesVille (I think that's the name). When they turn 16, they go and have an operation to be turned pretty. Their skin is scrubbed off, their bones shaped and molded, and a whole lot of other things, until you are what is considered pretty, and you live in New Prettyville until you become a middle pretty, etc. In New Prettyville, the only rule is have fun. You do whatever, wherever, and whenever. You don't have to work, you can party all day and night, and there is never a dull moment. Tallie's best friend, Peris, becomes a Pretty about a month before, and she's left alone. Then she meets another ugly girl who doesn't want to be pretty. On their last night of being ugly, her friend gives her a choice. Come with her, run away to a place with people called the 'Smokies'. Basically a village with runaway uglies. Tallie refuses, and is left alone. But as she goes in for the surgery, she's not allowed it. She is given a choice. Go find her new friend and bring her back, or remain ugly forever. :animesigh :animestun It's a series. The second book is out (haven't read it yet though). I'm going to fall back on the whole 'it's okay to cry' thing. Crying shows strength, holding it in doesn't, blah blah blah. No, but seriously. Anyone would cry at endings like that.

Well... you can't be too specific, and it doesn't all depend on clothes and looks. And every girl has a different interest. But... I guess I like a mix. I don't like the really buffed up look... I like the more slim guys... I guess you could call it effeminite, the way I'm seeing it. Not too tall, just tall enough to lean on... But the tight pants I don't like, baggy pants are nice (hold it up with a belt though, no need to see what's underneath while in class), but... I don't care what shirt... Baggy or tight, either way... And those braclets and necklaces would be nice too, I suppose... But either way, doesn't matter. When you find someone, they aren't going to fit your description.

Well... It all comes right back to the parents though, doesn't it? They could be trying, maybe they are, but they just can't stop them? Or maybe they don't care, or think it's cute or something. Parents are getting younger and younger, less and less assertive (sp?), letting the children walk all over them, or just plain don't care. And then there's the laws, that are getting more and more strict. To quote a friend of mine, 'You can't even grab a child too hard, or reprimand them anymore, or the child protection agency will be on your ***.' I mean, I walk through the mall and see little six or seven year old girls walking around in halter tops, tiny skirts, the like. And you walk into clothing stores, and they've got these kinds of clothes for these little girls everywhere. A few years ago, it was my little brother's party, and we went to this big public playland (called Makutus (sp?)), and a few of my friends came to keep me company. Well, one of my friends brought two kids she had recently started babysitting, whom had nothing better to do that night. I couldn't believe it. They were brother and sister, about five and six years old, the girl was wearing VERY revealing clothes, and they were walking around talking about sex, and drugs, and laughing and saying that they would be doing it. They were also the nastiest little kids. They seemed to think they ruled the place, would cut in lines, hit people, cuss and yell at people... :mad: :animeangr I suppose advertisments and tv shows don't help at all, it's getting worse. Society is getting worse. In about twenty years, most five year olds will have known everything there is to sex, drugs, etc. Or maybe I'm just being paranoid, or pessimistic. Either way, it's getting worse, though there will always be the good little kids sitting in the back of the class, talking about the latest Pokemon show, or something like that.

I've got a christmas list! ...It's not much yet, Halloween isn't even here yet, but whatever... 1.) CDs, of course. 3 Doors Down, Gwen Stefani, NickelBack, Alanis, etc. 2.) A [I]giant[/I] stuffed zebra!!! :D I saw one at the state fair, and it was... awesome!!! I immediately wanted it, but mom told me not to waste my money on it. 3.) A basketball hoop! Not one of those dumb little kid plastic ones, the real metal ones (like at parks), 10, 15 ft tall! Just so I will want to go outside! ...That's all.

Well... I just got into highschool (meaning I'm freshman), so I don't know everything about the school I'm going to yet. So... I've never really been in a group. I've always just had three or four friends in a school, I've always basically been ignored by everyone else. I guess I'm... the odd one out. But I've got friends, which is better then having none at all. I'm the artist crazy one, and my group of friends is basically just weird in their own way, none of us is the same. That's what makes it so much fun. But... I hate the populars, which isn't very fair, because a lot of people are popular, be it by good or bad reason, so... I don't like the preppy people, they're just... so annoying. Ruling the school (or thinking they can), gossiping, being backstabbers... Well, that's how it was at my old school. Not that all preps are bad. And... Well, I guess I don't like the posers too... It can get kind of annoying...

Mm.... I'm afraid of: 1.) Heights. Not so afraid that I start to hyperventilate, or throw up or anything, but I don't like it. I mean, when I go up or down stairs, I have to hold onto the railing. And I'm just so friggin' [I]curious[/I] and [I]stupid[/I] that I have to look over the edge when I'm somewhere high... and freak myself out. 2.) Fire. It scares me. So. Badly. I can't stand the though of being burned. But the weird thing is, I love to draw it, I love to write about it... 3.) The thought of not being able to move. Being trapped. Not being able to move any of my limbs (especially my legs. So if someone lays on my legs, I freak out). I hate the thought of not being able to move, it scares me, what if something were to happen? I don't know why I am, but I am.

Well... seeing as I don't have a boyfriend, I'll answer the second question. It would be great to have a boyfriend who also loved anime/manga. If they absolutely hated it, and wouldn't even talk about it or at least try to enjoy it with me, I think that would be a problem, seeing as that's a part of my life that I love.

Well.... I suppose some animes/mangas will die out, even though we'll still remember them. But... the style won't die. It's getting more and more popular. More and more of America (and other countries) is getting into it. It's changing, it'll never really die out, as long as we keep it going. Hey, if we tell our kids about some of our old favorite shows, show them to them, at least they'll know what we though (think) were/are great shows.

Well... I don't have a [I]favorite[/I] anime/manga, they're all awesome (pretty much all). But... the mangas I like best (that I have read so far) have to be DN Angel, One Piece, Trigun, and Naruto. Favorite animes... Naruto, Trigun, Samurai Champloo, One Piece (even though the dub is kinda... messed up), and... other things I can't remember at the moment. Anything with a lot of action, fantasy, that kind of stuff... I don't like the love stuff so much.

About a year ago, I saw a thread on a forum with a guy worried about his girlfriend who was extemely obsessed with the character Yami Bakura from Yu-Gi-Oh! She was soooo obsessed. I mean, wishing (or perhaps thinking) her were real, kind of neglecting her boyfriend to spend time on Bakura, watch the shows with him in it, etc. Believing that anime/manga characters are real, is too obsessed. Or when it starts to screw up your life, interfer with the more important things (such as your job, or school), that's too obsessed. But hey, everyone is entitled to loving something as much as they want to. If they want to cosplay a character, let them. I think it's great, it's probably a lot of fun. Just don't get so obsessed with it that it takes over your life.
