"LET DOMINO'S TENTH ANNUAL 'DUELS FOR THE EARTH' CELEBRATION BEGIN!" The crowd cheers as they witness four duelists enter the arena and prepare the new duel-disks manufactured for the glorius event. "PREPARE, LOYAL FANS, AS THESE DUELISTS SHOW THE NEWEST TECHNOLOGY IN DUEL MONSTERS!" All of the duel-disks suddenly fan out from what was thought to be normal watches. "THESE AREN'T YOUR NORMAL DUEL-DISKS! AND TO SHOW THEM OFF ARE THESE FOUR TALENTED DUELISTS!" Spotlights shine brightly on the four as they become fully visible. "WE HAVE MAKO AND HIS OCEAN DECK!" Mako punches the air with his spear clenched. "VALEN WITH HIS DECK OF ARMOR!" The crowd cheers once again for the return of the power-suit pounder. He chuckles as if he already had one the biggest duel of his life. "WE ALL KNOW THIS ONE!! JOEY 'GODFATHER' WHEELER!!" The crowd grows even louder as the returning champ does a dance to please his fans. "LAST, BUT NOT LEAST! MANNY WITH HIS..." the announcer pauses as he checks the paper in his hand. "Uh..AN EXODIA DECK!" Cheers can be heard from the crowd, but also the murmur and shock of hearing the word EXODIA. The rest of the duelists' attitude change when they hear this. Manny turns to face them with closed eyes and a calm smile. "LET THE EXHIBITION MATCH BEGIN!!!" ====================================== "So our efforts have finally paid off," Maxamillion Pegasus states as he looks down into the arena. "The new duel-disks are finished thanks to our combined efforts and we have the most interesting players of the world right here! We make quite the team, wouldn't you say, Kaiba?" Kaiba remains silent as he looks down at the four. "I only agreed to work with you, because of the design you have managed to copyright under my nose." "I guess with the constant poundings of Yugi, as well as Joey always challenging you, has made you forget how to run a business adequately." He drinks from his wine glass. "I told you! My priorities aren't focused on such things anymore!" Kaiba stands up and walks toward the table where his lunch waits. He grabs for a champaign bottle and two glasses as he continues. "With my new role as Earth's representator to the monster world, I hardly even have time to watch this match." He pops the cork and begins to pour into the two glasses. "Which is why I would like to use this time to make a toast on you and my brother's success, Maximillion." Pegasus looks up at Kaiba with a shock and then hooted. "So you finally mellowed out! Eh, Kaiba?!" Their glasses rang as they two toasted. "To our success and the new line of cards!" ====================================== "This has been a good match, but I 'ave nothin' else left," Valen announces as his life points click to zero. "I can't believe it, I couldn't even touch the guy!" Mako had already lost and Valen walks out of the arena tattered and torn. All that remains is Joey at 3600 and Manny at a whole 8000. 'I can't believe this guy. Everything we try has no effect and he just throws right back at us,' Joey thinks to himself as he begins his turn again. "Would you look at that? Three duelists defeated and all by myself, too. I guess it's just you and me now, Mr. Wheeler," Manny says as he makes another calm smile. "I have to admit, not even I thought that my 'Triangle Power' would have worked so well when my Exodia pieces attacked." Joey looked at his newly drawn card and then at the ones in his hand. "You are a tough duelist, but I'm not gonna give up. This may be an exhibition match, but my honor as the reigning champ is at stake!" "Oh. We were playing seriously? Joey made a look of horror, then it suddenly changed back as he remebered something. "Plus, my friends have my back and I have the heart of the cards. I CAN'T LOSE!" "Oh, yeah. I already know about your heart of the cards." Manny's smile suddenly became a sneer of extreme insanity. "What the hell?! MY heart of the cards?! What is THAT supposed to mean?!" "End your turn and you'll find out!" Manny went back to his calm smile, but his eyes remained open with the glare of insanity. "Okay! I'll end my turn!" "YOU FOOL!!! YOU FELL FOR IT!!! YOU DIDN'T EVEN DO ANYTHING THIS TURN!!!" "WHAT!?!? I FORGOT!!!!" "Because of that, I can activate this card. 'TRINITY FINISH'!" Manny plays the card and pulls his deck from the duel-disk. "Now all of our cards go into the graveyard. Then we both take out a monster, magic, and trap from the graveyard and add them to our hands." They both do this. "We both can then place the trap face down and summon the monster. I'll leave my monster in my hand and a new round will begin with both of us at the same time. The loser will be the first one that uses up the three cards!" Joey takes his three cards and places the trap and summons,"I summon, Red-Eyes Black-Dragon!" The great red beast comes forth and its roar bellows across the arena. "You made a big mistake mistake when you allowed me to get my Red-Eyes and this card 'Aura Armor', which I play with my 'Red-Eyes Transmigration'! Watch as I become 'Lord of Red'!" Fire completely surrounds Joey his Red-Eyes-Black-Dragon fuses with the armor that just forms around him. A calm presence seems to enter his mind. "According to your card's effect, I am allowed to activate the trap card despite the requirements that must be met!' "How could you possibly have known about that effect!?" Manny shouted over the resonance of Joey's 'Lord of Red'. "I..don't know.." Joey muttered as he realized this himself. "I see. You have the power that the other underworlders do. But before you can fully realize it I must destroy you," Manny announced as his insanity began to show again. "Destroy me!?!? I don't know what you mean, but from the look of it I have this duel in the bag." Manny begins to chuckle. Then it slowly turns into a maniacle laughter. "What are you laughing about?" Joey says in a calm demeanor. "Looks like you screwed up again...You used up your three cards!" The horror returns to Joey at the realization of what he had done. "Then I lose." "NOT SO FAST! I WON'T LET YOU GET AWAY THAT EASILY!" He begins to chant something. Then an aura appears around him. A light flashes throughout the stadium, blinding everyone. As it fades, Manny's trap card can be seen activated. "NOW THE DUEL IS REAL AND EXODIA IS PISSED! 'Backup Soldier' allows three of the Exodia to go to my hand!" Joey begins to smile himself. "Now you have four Exodia pieces. But it doesn't work without the last one! ITS USELESS! Nice try, bucko. HA!" "Not unless I have this. 'Monster Reincarnation' can bring any monster back from the graveyard to my hand as long as I discard a card. And you wouldn't believe what came back to my hand, too, when the new turn started. My 'Sinister Serpent'!" The final piece returns to Manny's hand as the Exodia the Forbidden One rises from the shadows. "Now, Exodia. KILL HIM!!" Exodia hurls the blast at Joey as it obliderates everything in its path. The power tears through Joey's flesh and there remains nothing more. ====================================== "What is this?! An actual duel monster appeared and it was Exodia of all things!" Kaiba hollered. "There hasn't been one on Earth in a while, because of recent events!" "NOT ONLY THAT! LOOK!" Pegasus points into the arena. "WHEELER!" Joey's blood and burned flesh is scattered in all directions. There is nothing else left, but a tattered duel-disk. "Wheeler. You died at the hands of a duel monster. But thanks to you," Kaiba looks to the audience as he continues,"You have blocked the blast from destroying countless others. You truly are an honorable duelist... Let's go, Pegasus. We have an agenda to make."

"Duel Monsters" have been proven as real as any other common animal or beast that has ever walked the Earth. The ones known as "King of Games" Yugi Moto, Joey "The Godfaddah" Wheeler, and Seto Kaiba "Lord of Dragons" has pounded Darts' Millennia Army and saved the world from the Great Leviathon. The "Shadow Games" and the spirits of old have finally been put to rest as a peace between man and beast establishes a new era of civilization. However, some men still use the monster and magic to fight back for the old ways. And in the distance a new evil rises on an unsuspecting world! Yes, this IS another RP for Yu-Gi-Oh! I've decided to do my own, because I have found lots of time and want to do an RP where there is action and plot added in every day! Joining: Create a character or bring one from another RP (this is encouraged). You can join in at any time. If you are playing, however, post your character in this thread. Here is the stats that must be filled out. You can insert any as "unknown" if you want mystery added to your character or if you just aren't sure. RPG Yu-Gi-Oh!: Duel of the Century (PG-13:V,L)
You Don't Care replied to Feyrbrand's topic in Theater
Days earlier in the slums of a city somewhere in Russia, four duelists are reaching the end of the match. Three on one team duel. The three men are wearing heavy winter clothing while the single figure standing alone wears but a simple, black-hooded robe. Lifepoints:2000, 1000, 3000 against 550 "I'll put my 'Cyberstein', into defense mode. And attack with Blue Eyes Ultimate Dragon!" the first man says. The face down moster reveals that it is a Watapon, just before it is torn to shreds. The robed man is just as calm as ever with only one other face-down monster to protect himself. "Now I will activate defusion to turn Ultimate into three other blue eyes! Now I can attack three more times!"The first Blue Eyes destroys the facedown to reveal.. "BRAIN JACKER'S ABILITY HAS BEEN ACTIVATED!" announces the robed man. The monster attaches itself to the second Blue Eyes. The controlled Blue Eyes moves to it's new master's side. "You can't let him have a Blue Eyes! Sacrifice your third one to destroy his!" shouts the second man. "ATTACK!" The Two Blue-Eyes are destroyed in a blinding blue light. "I'll end my turn by placing two cards face down." The robed man places his fore fingers over his deck and begins to chant. "I DRAW!" He lays his gaze upon the card, reading the title. "It is over. I DREW 'SNATCH STEAL'! BUT BEFORE I PLAY IT I WILL ACTIVATE 'HEAVY STORM' TO WIPE THE FIELD CLEAN!" "Not so fast! I reveal face-down trap card 'Imperial Order'! Now your Magic is useless as well as your 'Snatch Steal'!" the third man points out. "Not unless I have this!" The robed man reveals 'Mystical Space Typhoon'. "I will chain 'MST' to your 'Imperial Order' to negate its effect as a chain! Now watch as your 'Imperial Order' falls and the rest of all of your cards go along with it!" The cards blow away into oblivion. "ACTIVATE 'SNATCH STEAL' NOW!" The Blue Eyes is taken over. "Activate 'Monster Reborn' for your other Blue Eyes.'Change of Heart' on your 'Cyberstein'. And now I summon 'Slate Warrior'! Good-bye!!" The three deadly monsters attack to finish off the three duelists, as they dissapear into the shadows. "That is the last time you will challenge someone to a Shadowgame," the robed man says as he tears the 'Cyberstein' card into shreds. Another person walks into the alleyway. "You must be Mr. Freidon." "Who wants to know?" "I come with news of another Kaiba Tournament." "Then speak up." The man's smile can be seen under his hood as he slightly touches the hilt of his sword. -

Art "Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories" Sprite Comic
You Don't Care replied to Sheikahmon's topic in Creative Works
HAHAHA! I know how you feel! But you should have put more thought into the comic art in its entirety! Better luck next time! A background maybe? -
Thanks for the comments...but in my defense, The pics you've described as "blocky" were supposed to be that way. Especially in the Wallpaper...those are supposed to be many cells of images. As for not doing anything with the first picture...here are the original two pics. The second picture was my first attempt at photoshoping, and i'm not happy with it either. I intend to redo it soon. The third pic...that's not a raven, it's a man. But I see your point either way.
The second pic in this post is astounding (and I hate using this word). I do NOT know why you don't like it! Staging is placed with precision and the feeling is "m y s t i c a l ?!" Besides that keep up the work.
I don't draw the original art...I just wanted to say that.
Good, because I almost freaked out! Rei is from another pic that I have on my labtop! I hate "IT" when people take credit for other people's work! Now that that is out of the way, were you going for mood in the pic with Rei?

Excellent! I see where you are going with this! You should look into samurai poses for this guy. Your colors are good, but you need to work on specific lengths (maybe the arms) and possibly..flexed muscle and tendon will add intensity. This may seem like a lot, but work on the face (cheek bones and brow), too. Try drawing it a few more times and it will look REALLY good!

Other than the fact that there isn't enough information for everyone else to go on, I'll give you a random suggestion. Try a style that completely relies on belts. Other than the usual belt on the waist, try putting a belt on every rim of the clothing: like cuffs. Maybe a belt on the wrist or one holding up the hair. Try it! You might like the results!
As for the person that said another DB series......don't hold your breath ;) time warner and Japan are not really interested in that sorta of venture.
However, Akira Toriyama actually considering making a new DB series, because of the great success and popularity it has in the U.S.(he actually liked the idea of DBAF). It hasn't been officially announced yet, but its possible that Akira is considering using American "talent and inspiration" from Dragonball for this series. However, I doubt that they are going to use the title. But it is, indeed, a continuation of Dragonball. The reason I brought this up in this thread was because the staff of the new series might be using the combined force of Time Warner and Itochu Corp. as one of its first projects.

I think that this series is a bold one. For those who can't tell, the intent of "Super Milk-Chan" was to re-recycle old jokes (and make it obvious). It can be said that this project was meant to annoy certain audiences. As a matter of fact, there are quite a few groups of people who enjoy the torment of others through watching series such as this. A good example of annoying anime: when (at my local japanese comic shop) they play "Hamtaro" only when the dungeons and dragons, TCG players, and bums come to hang around. These are the people who don't actually buy something like normal customers. Good times. Other than that, I give Milk Chan a four out of five for annoyingly entertaining, "You Dumbass!"

However cool it may sound or be, making a manga off of an RP is too demanding and a really bad idea. Unless the details of the character interaction is not solely based off of your experiences playing the RP. What I'm trying to say is that you don't want to copy your experiences of the RP into the comic itself. Try to MAKE UP specific scenes and personalities, because trying to be true to someone else's character's personality(dot for dot) is hazardous. For example: If (somehow) you screwed up on a character's action or re-action, it could change the entire scene to something that you did not intend it to turn into. Thus the order of scenes that would have normally taken place in the future could seem out of place when you get to it, because of the fact that you screwed up on an action in a previous scene. However, using an RP as practice(not a long term commitment) is an excellent idea!! Note: If you were just saying that you were going to use only the actual idea and major plot as a reference to your comic, than I apologize for any confusion earlier and I will shut up now.

Manga Suggestions on a beginner's first manga..
You Don't Care replied to SaiyanDestroya's topic in Otaku Central
Whatever you do, DO NOT GET TOO USED TO THE STYLE THAT YOU ARE TRACING! If you want to generate your own style, becoming dependent on another is not good at all! I made this mistake and suffered oh too long for it! It was DBZ's style and it took me years to break from the habit, which I regret my past independence oh so much! -
This is a really simple one! Stangely enough, for my entire life, my dreams actually look like something animated straight from Japan. Even more weird, I didn't even know what anime was or looked like until I rented my first DBZ video from Video Update (10 years ago Volume 1 of the Saiyan Saga. An excellent start I would say so myself!) When I first saw it, I was like "OMFG! This is exactly what my dreams look like!" My dad replies, "You mean you dream about hollering, porcupine-haired people and green bean men?" Seriously, that's what he said!!! Anyway, I had a huge imagination and I didn't know how to "draw it out" to show others. And seeing Manga and Anime, I had figured out my calling in life... DRAW THE FRIGGIN' MANGA!!!

Hmm.. A story about a collective dream world where its inhabitants(visitors/dreamers) have spicific powers according to their birth place(and possibly time plays a factor as well). Lets get technical! I suggest that you leave the flashback for a later issue. Use it as a plot device to enhance the story. What I mean is think about dreams. Dreams are(and can be) subconcsious impulses and collections of thoughts enhanced by one's own imagination. The same could be said for memories. Memories can be changed over time and even blotted out or totaly altered. The same goes for dreams. This is what your flashback sequences could be used for. You can make flashbacks(of a person who is attuned to the dream world) play a major role by co-relating them to the dreams themselves. A person can change their dreams at will(if they are aware that is a dream). And since dreams and memories are both on the same "theoretical" pattern, you could put(as a twist) that as the dream world is threatened, so are the memories(a.k.a. flashbacks) of everyone else in the conscious world. Their memories, and possibly the way of life, could change by the will of the master(in this case the "bad guy"). This element to the story will bring important events to the real world than just simply looking for "the bad guy." The characters can notice dramatic changes in the behavior of people around them as well as their own memories being altered in conjunction with the destruction of the dream world. So there you go! And for name creating, try using puns for the words dream, drowse, and maybe slumber.
