Ginny notices HER hair is different. :p Smooth instead of spikey. *wonders what she'd look like with spikey hair*

Neo's definitely my favorite of the bunch here--I love how you drew the wrinkles in his coat. The image is just a little too light... I like how the lines are very neat and clean in the third pic--very nice. Also screaming for color, heh. *Rating pending--just spend past 12 hours working and is VERY tired*

Location, location, location--Where are you from?
GinnyLyn replied to Baron Samedi's topic in General Discussion
I was born in Houston, but I'm in Dallas now. Gaw, a lot of you don't live too far from me. O_O; Just maybe half an hour away. *quietly plans Texan OB get together* :p -
*stares at her family* *whimpers* I'm scared now... Lol. Auron Obsessed--YES! You better believe it! ^________^ More, Logan, I want to see my cousins, plus I want to see where you fit in!
-
Whoa, people listen to what I have to say? *blinks in incredulous shock* Gaw, hee hee hee. Yes. Yes you should listen to me. :shifty: :D

I still hold a theory that Link and Zelda are related--at least, the Ocarina of Time ones. In which case I wouldn't put them together. The WW Link and Zelda seem to fit, though. O_o;

I'll agree with Sage. There's been some excellent FF music running around. 7's intrigued me with its haunting undertones of small hope, but 9's was way weird, IMO. Both ChronoTrigger and ChronoCross (also by Square) had simply amazing music, as far as I am concerned. I got my first OST due to FFX, though. Occasionally, I'd pick a track or song from a game here or there (ChronoCross, Kingdom Hearts, FFs), but X's was, again IMO, simply wonderful. I've noticed that the OST doesn't exactly follow the game order, but instead tells an orchestrated version of FFX by the order (if that makes sense). I've gotten a few more OSTs since, but I've been somewhat disappointed with them. I'd love to get ahold of a remixed, orchestrated (preferrably non-MIDIish version) of ChronoTrigger's entire soundtrack. I'd buy that second in an instant.

It was past five minutes, and the boy was still swimming through the ocean's waves like some colorful dolphin. Auron was patient, but it was time for Tidus to come out already. The Crimson Warrior knelt by the pier and watched Tidus swim about in circles. The blonde teen was swimming closer and closer to the pier. As soon as he was close enough, Auron would reach out for his shoulder and yank him out. Tidus' full circle movement neared the wooden pier and Auron tensed himself. He shot his gloved hand out and-- "Gotcha!" Auron gave a startled yell as Tidus gripped his glove and pulled him into the ocean. Tidus flopped on his back and floated there, laughing his head off. Auron's head broke the surface, his black and white hair pasted to his head, his shades tilted crazily. His mind ran through several hideous obscenities, but Auron chose to remain silent, contenting himself with a dark glare. Tidus was still laughing until Auron pushed him underwater. "What the heck was that for?" "I would ask you the same thing, but instead, I'm sinply going to remind you we were supposed to leave already." "What's so important that you have to crimp on my Blitzball practice?" "Something inside Kilika Forest. Do you recall when Sin pulled us out of your Zanarkand and left us here in Spira via a warp hole?" The whole episode still left a bad taste in Tidus' mouth and he grimaced. "What about it?" he asked bitterly. "There seems to be a very small version of that in the forest. I suggest we keep an eye on it, just in case." "Why don't you keep an eye on it and let me practice. Just let me know if anything happens." Auron climbed back up on the pier and hauled Tidus out by his wet collar. "That would be a waste of time if 'anything' was serious." Tidus scowled. "C'mon, Auron..." But Auron wouldn't hear of it. "Let's go."

OoC: If everyone's going to be "plunged into FFX", as you said in the sign up, then us FFX(/2) characters won't have that much to do at first. Ah well--I'm good at stall writing. Also, are we playing in the Spira after the events of FFX, or should we consider FFX still going on? ~~~~~~~~~~ Somewhere in Kilika, port village... Tidus was practicing the Jecht Shot again, but striving to change it up enough to attach his own name to the move. He flew out of the ocean water and began to bodily spin again; as it came for the moment to kick the Blitzball, he tried to throw a little flair by moving his arms in a dramatic pose. As a result, the ball bounced off his bare stomach and splashed into the water. Due to gravity, Tidus' body was quick to follow. The water surface rippled, brushed up against the wooden pier where Auron stood. He watched the ripples and, narrowing his eye slightly, shook his left foot. His boot was glistening wetly now. "Oop. Sorry, Auron." "Hmph." The older man glanced at Tidus, whose blonde hair was plastered to his forehead, a sheepish grin on the teen's face. "You've been practicing for hours now. Isn't that enough?" "OK, OK, I know you're not a sports freak." It was true--the only time Auron had ever seen a Blitzball game was when Jecht had dragged him and Braska to the one in Luca. The other time he had been in Luca, he was a bit too occupied with the fiends in the stadium to watch. "So we are going." Tidus had just about reached the pier, stretching to take Auron's hand to get out, when he did a backflip in the water. "Just a few more minutes!" Auron shifted his body and growled quietly. "Why is this so important to you?" "I want to be my own guy, make a name for myself," Tidus replied, a little distracted. He jumped in the air again, got ready to kick the ball-- "Because you don't want to live in Jecht's shadow anymore." --SPLASH! Tidus hit the water. He never even touched the ball that time. He resurfaced, sputtering and gasping for air, then glared at Auron. "That's right, I don't. Problem?" Auron was about to plunge into a speech about respect for your elders and how great Jecht was back when Auron knew him...but Tidus was listening less and less these days. Besides, the boy did need to grow up sometime. Auron sighed and just walked down the pier to a nearby shop. "That's what I thought," Tidus said, smarmly. "Shut up and be ready in five minutes, or I'm leaving without you." "Where we going?" "You'll find out soon enough."

I experienced my first close death last year, as many of you recall. Of course, you may also recall why I didn't care for him much, (very long story) though he seemed to love me. I have yet to see any sign of that, penny or otherwise. I also had two customers I cared a lot about pass away this past year. No signs from them either... I don't know if the penny/feather/whathaveyou works, simply for the fact of the matter that it's never happened to me. (Isn't that a funny analogy for faith? O_o)

Updated List (this is who's signed up, NOT who's been accepted): FF7: 3 (Yuffie, Sephiroth, Cloud) FF8: 4 (Squall, Irvine, Rinoa, Zell) FF9: 2 (Zidane, Vivi) FFX: 3 (Auron, Tidus, Wakka) X-2: 1 (Sano) If everyone gets in, that'll make 13 people. We'll just need 3 more, then. (And several of you are already indicating your antsyness over AIM, and no (fer the last time!!!), I have no control over when Logan starts it. I'm just your friendly number cruncher and data compiler. ^_~)

Art New random girl wallpaper (ECCHI WARNING!)
GinnyLyn replied to DarK DeatH's topic in Creative Works
Like I said, prettiful. That girl's spheres of maturity are overly imaginative and overly done though...^_~ All the colors work well together and the bar texture definitely works, as do the fireworks. Very nice. -
Sorry, that's way off.

Art Inspired by FF: X-2... (aka, proof GinnyLyn can do more than just cute)
GinnyLyn replied to GinnyLyn's topic in Creative Works
Calm down, Chris. (And BTW, his legs are in leggings, so that might explain no hair. ^_~) I think maybe if I draw his knee higher, it'll cut the disproportional clothing some slack. *is now mumbling things only she understands* ^^; EDIT Well, well, I just keep coming up with the ideas before I color them. This next one, however, I am really pleased with. Presenting Berserker Auron: http://www.angelfire.com/weird2/elementis/berserker.jpg I know, I know--that mohawk is really freaking you out, right? Well, there's a reason for it--that's actually a FFX Behemoth scalp he's wearing. Since Behemoths are one of the most powerful enemies in the game, it's a sort of tribute to Auron's own power. You can also see the Behemoth horns protruding from the scalp. Around his neck is a Dual Horn's head; not only was its jaw snapped so the mouth could go around his head, the skull was also split down the middle, to make room for the scalp. The tail is the rest of the Dual Horn pelt. His chest is covered by a Bat (Bad?) Eye's head. His right arm has an Epaaj leg on it, the left has a Demonolith claw. The "feathers" hanging from both arms come from Imps. His loin cloth and leg coverings are from Couerls (tiger stripe) and --ooo, I'm not sure of the name, but it's something like Kumursha, Kumushra, or something. One of those ground dragon fiends. OK, and if you haven't played FFX at all, I probably lost you with all that fiend talk. (Eh, technically, you'd be lost anyway. ^^) -
You missed one on the first fight, and I think you might have confused two on the third, but as far as I'm concerned, you did well! Go for it, sweetreyes! ^_^ *has seen sig* EDIT Um, need a question, someone. EDIT AGAIN Fine, I'll stick a question in, then. =) Q. At the Sphere Theatre in Luca, what is the maximum number of Music and Movie Spheres you can have? (FFX)

OoC: I'm actually making this up as I go along. (Are you ok, Des? You seem really irritable as of late. :() If you can't think of anything, I'll try to edit this later. Good to know everyone's still posting. I was getting really worried again. ~~~~~~ Ixion reared up, then slashed his horn at the foursome. Auron, Cecil, Freya, and Zell tumbled backwards, out of harm's way, and, as one mind, decided to bolt for the nearest exist. The Aeon's golden horn clanged against the stones. Nickering angrily, he galloped after the Survivors, his dead eyes glowering darkly. Zell was the last one to slip out of the Cloisters' main door when the area just behind him crackled sharply with a massive thunderbolt. He shrieked and mistepped, falling down the ornate staircase that led up to the door. Freya yelled as Zell hit her and the pair tumbled, taking Cecil and Auron with them. A few village worshippers, bowing to the statues that decorated Djose's entrance room, gasped and backed away. The small group groaned as they sat at the bottom of the staircase. Freya was the first to stand up again, and she pointed back up the stairs, at Ixion. Ixion pawed the ground with one hoof, and snorted. "There's no escape. Just lay down and die now." "It's not possible!" cried a bewildered but infuriated Auron. "You can't have taken Ixion!" "Oh, but I have, old man. And there's nothing you can do to stop me now!" Ixion reared up again, sending a burst of electricity through the whole room. The villagers screamed in panic and fled out of the Temple. Cecil looked grim. "Can Aeons be killed?" Auron gritted his teeth, then sighed. "They are living creatures, just like anything else." "Whoa ho, wait a minute--you want us to take on that thing? There's no way!" Zell complained. Auron's mood was swiftly shifting from helpless anger to uncontrollable rage; Ganger had just desanctified one of the more pure essences of Spira. "Fine," he snapped vehemently, "I don't give a damn what you do. But I'm going to stop Ganger here and now." "HEY!" Zell yelled. "You don't have to be rude about it!" Freya shrugged and twirled her spear. "Don't mind him." "Well, but he didn't," Zell protested. "Not to say that I don't agree with you--because I do agree--but don't you think we should go drag Sir Butthead's rear out of the--ahem--'fire', before he gets it blasted off?" Zell crossed his arms and glowered, speaking only one word. "Rude." Metal clanged against metal as Ixion matched horn for blade with Auron. The Crimson Warrior had uncharacteristically thrown caution to the winds--and thrown it hard, too, because he wasn't proceeding with his usual trained patience. Ixion slashed out with his horn, leaving a thin red mark across Auron's left arm. Auron roared and was about to lunge forward again when Cecil pulled him back. "Cure." The cut closed up. "Want to cool off a little before you get yourself hurt even worse?" "You don't understand!" Auron yelled. Cecil was unperturbed. "Maybe I don't. But let's do this the right way, ok?" Freya had already leapt atop Ixion's back, and the unicorn bucked frantically to knock her off, destroying a few of the Temple's statues in the process. One of them happened to be of the High Summoner Braska, which threw Auron into an even worse rage, and Zell had to restrain him. Ixion neighed then cast Thundaga; it ran through all the Survivors, instantly dropping them and leaving them somewhat paralyzed (Auron included, much to Cecil and Zell's relief). Freya, however, managed to conduct the bolt into her staff and, using it as a lightning rod, jabbed the staff against Ixion's back. The bolt surged back into Ixion's body, and the Aeon screamed in agony. Auron moaned and struggled to stand upright, Zell ready to tackle him a moment's notice. But it wasn't necessary. "Ixion...hurt by its own lightning? It should have been healed by it..." "Glad to see you're going to behave, if even for a moment. Ganger?" "Duh! It's been right under our noses the whole time!" "What has? Care to explain?" Zell grinned in apology. "No, not really. I just wanted to sound intelligent." Ixion, angry at being injured, hurled Freya from his back; the Dragon Knight landed against the three Survivors, much to everyone's painful dismay. "Guys," Freya groaned. "He's not going to lay down and die. What now?" ~~~~~~~ OoC: Got me. I'm fresh out of ideas now. No, I'm not going anywhere with this =)--I just thought it'd be interesting to have some sort of Doppleganger running around trying to steal Aeons. The rest wrote itself but now...um...help? BTW, if this helps at all, Aeons don't die any more than FF Characters do. Which means fighting Ixion shouldn't be a problem...um...right? *starts looking for BB to come back and post, to help Ginny out here!* I think I wrote us into a corner by accident. Oo;

Since the goddesses chose the Hyrule people to be their special people (the people of Hyrule were said to be able to hear the gods with their long ears), it makes sense that Termina and other places wouldn't know too much. It's the video game world crossing with the money making one. Like I said, until Nintendo produces an official timeline, I'm not laying my bet on any of them. Even my own.

One's red and one's blue? *snorts with laughter* Oh, I'm sorry! Heh, no, I don't know the answer--I just couldn't resist. EDIT Awwww....sorry, Des. I was just kidding. :bawl:

OoC: YAY FOR OHKAMI! *kills CapsLock button* ~~~~~~~ The foursome turned to intercept the false Freya, but it melted between the cracks of the Temple's walls before they could move. "It did it again!" Zell exploded angrily. "Gah, when I get ahold of it, I swear I'm gonna rip it apart!" "Now, Zell--hey!" Zell yanked the sword out of Cecil's hands, much to the Paladin's protest-- "What the hell do you think you are doing?!" --and stabbed at the cracks, if only for a few seconds. Cecil tore his sword out of Zell's hands and slapped the back of the blonde's head angrily and for good measure. "What are you doing?!" "I could ask you the same thing! I just did, as I recall!" "Give it back!" "Like hell I will!" "Auron will agree with me on this one, right, Auron?" Auron glared darkly at Zell; as far as the Crimson Warrior was concerned, Zell had just broken a Cardinal rule. The older man leaned close to Zell's face, both nose to nose, and eye to eyes. "I've said this to Zidane. I've said it to Locke. Now I say it to you. Don't. Touch. The sword." Zell gupled, pulled away, and grinned at Freya nervously. She was rubbing her head and put her steeple hat back on. "So, what happened to you?" "All I recall is Cid dropping me off here and telling me to wait for you. Then Cid came back a few days ago. I thought perhaps he was coming to tell me that the Temple visits were cancelled, but it turned out it was nothing like that. It wasn't the real Cid at all, just a Doppleganger, and a perfect one at that. It beat me, bound me, and slung me into this Temple. Thank the heavens you arrived when you did." "Why?" Freya looked grim. "It spoke of 'A Thunder Needle to pierce the Heart.' I thought perhaps our enemy was trying to gain control of the Eidolon, in order to kill me first and then any others that he chose." "Eidolon? You mean Aeon, right?" Auron nodded to Cecil, but Zell spoke up first. "So Ganger is trying to control the Aeons!" Zell remarked. Cecil rose an eyebrow. "'Ganger'? You've made a name for it now?" Zell shrugged. "What, you wanna keep calling it the enemy all the time?" "But it doesn't make sense," Auron interrupted. "No matter what form it takes, this Ganger cannot control the Aeons. Only a summoner can speak to the fayth, and only when a fayth accepts the summoner can the Aeon be called." Cecil ticked the incidents off on his fingers. "First we get pixies trying to destroy the fayth statue--which means Ganger never wanted the Aeon in the first place? That or it thought Valefor was too weak to be of any use. Then Ganger tried to control Ifrit, posing as an Al Bhed all the while." "Intelligent Ganger. It knew about the Yevonites hatred of the Al Bheds. While they would be busy chasing around innocent Al Bhed, Ganger would be free to roam to the next Aeon." "Ixion." "Well, we'll just have to defeat Ganger before it can take Ixion," Freya remarked, twirling her spear. In an instant, all four were thrown to the ground as Ixion galloped thunderously into the room. The magnificent Thunder Unicorn reared up, emitting a horse's scream and pulsing lightning at the tip of its horn. Awe at the creature quickly turned to terror as they noticed Ixion's eyes glowed with dead light. "Keep me from taking Ixion? And just who is going to stop me?" Ganger's voice rang out from Ixion's mouth.

The idea of having a title that changes with the length of time you are on the Boards sounds good. But is there an option that allows you to do that--to gauge how much you actually spend on OB and transfer that into..."title fodder"...for lack of a better word? The only problem with that is the potential spammability--leave your computer on OB overnight, and you're through the roof, time wise. *goes back to drawing board* Frankly, I never found the title Newbie to be insulting. And as it has been mentioned, some Newbies still deserve that title, what with their two word posts and near illegible spelling and grammar. Brainsizzle! Would there be some way to have Staff keep an eye out for up and coming posters? Those that show potential would be moved up the ranks a little faster. I know this would be a drag on Staff, but perhaps you could make several jobs solely for the purpose of watching who posts well. It would encourage members to be on their "best behavior", as it were, and eventually become a community behavior to post well. The only problem with that is: a. the chance of overlooking a good poster. b. the chance of people complaining that Staff is playing favorites. Just an idea. Or is Ginny thinking too hard?

No, you STILL got one wrong! *collapses in laughter* I can't believe people keep getting tripped up by this one--oh, it's too much! :rotflmao:
