1. .hack//Roots You'd think he'd be more interested in Tabby's bobs. :V
2. Hmm... I guess Record of Lodoss War OVA counts as old school. Fun fact: It's actually the first anime I ever watched subbed! It was a pretty good anime, although I ended up liking the TV series pacing or plot or something better... But still, RoLW is probably the best classic fantasy style anime I've seen yet. Think Lord of the Rings in terms of, well, everything. Dragons, elves, dwarves, evil sorcerers, yada yada. I really wish they would have translated the original novels 'cause I'd love to read them. :(
3.
So... My dad decided to leave Dragonball: Evolution on this tv.... It's been about 5 maybe 10 minutes since I've took a glance at it. And now I'm about to change the channel. This crap is horrible.
Have you seen the "epic" review they did for DB:E on TGWTG.com? It was pretty high-larious, let me tell ya. On another completely different note, I'm tired of fanboys who can't get over the fact that Kajiura didn't come back to do any more music for .hack. It's like they're afraid of variety or something. B(
4. Here's an obvious one coming from me: .hack//Roots Opinion: Positive The Good It has great music, no matter what the haters might say. With tracks like "give honour to our fellow" and "dwindled bible", among many many others, Roots has some of my favorite anime music ever.
5. Well at least she was released a few hours later... but it shouldn't have even happened in the first place! My gosh, people! Another bit of that hope I had for humanity just died from reading this news.
6. No, ACTION HORSE should get his own OVA about how he overthrows the evil human overlords. Much like the "Nani, mai hunni" girl, his story must be told!
7. Hmm? I think I tried to post in this thread awhile ago, but it ate my post. :/ Well, let?s try it again! And just let me say before I get into it that this is a list of my favorites, therefore some obvious anime (like Cowboy Bebop, Trigun, etc.) won?t be on there. Doesn?t mean I don?t like them, just means they aren?t personal favorites. Also, the list is in no particular order, even though it?s still numbered. Now that we?re done with that probably pointless disclaimer, on with the show! 1) Planetes Honest to goodness, I fell in love with this anime the first time I saw the frickin? trailer for it. Then when I actually saw it, I practically died from the fan joy. It?s what I consider to be the best telling of future space exploration, and it could?ve done a lot of shizz considering the story takes place in 2075-76. But no, it?s presented in a very realistic and classy way. I just? ugh, I love everything about this anime. The opening is all kinds of awesome, too. 2) .hack//SIGN & Roots Hah, yes. I?m copping out. Instead of choosing between the two, I decided to just combine ?em. After all, I like them both for very similar reasons: good music, good characters overall, and a mostly interesting plot (even if it is slow, although I've never minded that). The animation is nice too, but it?s not always consistent so yeah. The other major thing I like about these shows (and just the .hack series in general) is the setting. I find it intriguing that all this shizz would go down within an online game. Plus some of the other themes they explore (AIs having real emotions, anyone?) can get pretty interesting. 3) Moribito This is one gorgeous anime, oh my word! Production I.G. did a damn good job. But, that?s not the only reason I liked it. It has possibly the most sensible female protagonist ever. Balsa is just awesome (not to mention appropriately). The other characters in the anime are fun too, and I also really liked the music. Especially the opening ?Shine? by L?Arc~en~Ciel, oh my! One of my favorites ever~ 4) Eureka 7 Admittedly I haven?t seen this show in awhile (although I plan to fix that soon), but I remember it being very gripping. Sometimes it felt overly dramatic, however given their situation it?s mostly understandable. Plus, they had some very nice character development, along with good romantic relationships. They?re not easy, they?re complicated. But the show doesn?t needlessly string you around the entire time when it comes to people?s couple status, which is nice. If you stick around with E7 long enough, it rewards you for it, which I very much appreciated. :3 5) Escaflowne Okay, so this show is kind of insane. Not like Code Geass insane, but the plot can get a bit ridiculous at times. Despite that, I still love it. It has some great music, pretty darn good animation, and (in MY opinion) interesting characters.
Although Allen is another story; he?s a total douche and I?m glad he didn?t get Hitomi in the end. :/
I remember when I first watched Escaflowne, how on-the-edge-of-my-seat I was; pretty much every episodes ends on a cliffhanger of some sort. That could be annoying, but hey if you have the entire series on DVD it doesn?t matter. :D
8. Hopefully I'll remember to watch this. lol I don't watch TV too much nowadays... plus, right now the cable isn't working on my TV so let's hope it's fixed by then. :/ But yes, very exciting! I've only actually watched four episodes of Brotherhood, probably 'cause I'm so attached to the dub that I wanted to wait.
9. The German version of "You Are a Pirate" is kinda hilarious.
10.
I'll probably be spending the entire day watching videos featuring my newest crush.
11.
You mean you would get a day off if it was on a weekday?:o
Probably not. I get the 15th off though, so it's all good.
12. I stopped caring about Valentine's Day after I was too old to get chocolates from the parents. And until I get into a relationship somehow, I'll just have to sit through this one. Plus, it doesn't get me off from school, falling on a weekend like that. :(
13. Have to agree on Rock-A-Doodle. I saw it again fairly recently and it still has entertainment value... although that whole going-into-Edmund's-mind-thing was like nightmare fuel. One thing that's kinda been spoiled for me now is Pokemon: The First Movie. I actually own the DVD to this (bought it several years back) but... well, let's go ahead and mention our good friend the Nostalgia Critic again! Yeah, I watched his review/episode on the movie and dang the movie really is lame. lol It wasn't just the NC who opened my eyes; after watching my own copy of it some time back, I kinda saw it then too... I still contend that there are decent Pokemon movies, just that Pokemon: The First Movie isn't one of 'em.
14.
Shall I bring back Shino the Wino? ♥
No. And I don't see how bringing back that stupid joke is funny or relevant at all.
15.
There is no such word as "alot". The word is two words. They are: A Lot Stop being retarded.
What if they're trying to spell the word "allot"? Then they're still being stupid, just not for the reason you were expecting.
16. What is it? Desbreko's screencaps Why was it nifty? No matter the situation, there is always a fitting screencap somewhere in Des' collection. Plus, he spammed a buttload of 'em in the Anime Out of Context thread once, which was silly good fun. Who is it? Shinmaru Why are they nifty? For being a generally cool guy and helping to keep Anime Central alive. Specifically he's always posting those Anime Season threads, like a good li'l devoted otaku. How he splits his time between watching loads of anime and movies, I'll never know. What is it? The news nugget about Naruto Shippuden airing on Disney XD. Why was it nifty? Seeing all the fans sperge out in the comments was hilarious. It actually reached 135 comments, which is one of the highest on any news nugget to date. What is it? Otaku Jeopardy Why was it nifty? It was a fun little game that Korey hosted, with new topics every week, and it was pretty cool getting a flashy title for winning. It also turned me into a competitive little monster for awhile, which only happens when I really get into things. I see that as a good sign. Who is it? chibi-master Why are they nifty? She’s pretty darn active on OB, and she’s always making those holiday threads. ALWAYS! That’s some good dedication for you right there. Plus she was ballsy enough to make the “That Time of the Month” thread. Kudos to her! What is it? The “Boner” thread Why was it nifty? For one, the title of the thread itself was hilarious considering the content. “Two Points of View”? Who would ever suspect that it would be about boners? And then of course, the way the thread evolved (or devolved) fairly quickly into nothing but stupid jokes. What is it? Movie Sign Why was it nifty? It’s currently the only chat-related weekly meet-up that’s still going. Somehow it managed to get people coming back almost every week for more Mystery Science Theater 3000 goodness. Also, Movie Sign celebrated its 1st anniversary in ’09; that’s kind of a big deal. What is it? The OtakuBoards’ Graphic Worm Why was it nifty? Have you seen the thing? Why isn’t it nifty? It’s always awesome to look at it grow throughout the year, and then when it's finally over it’s cool to see the kind of journey the whole thing went through. Who is it? TimeChaser Why are they nifty? He’s real easy to talk to, and he’s willing to help out members if they need it. He also manages The Watercooler. Who is it? Foof #1 and Foof #2, aka Hiko and redjacketalchemis Why are they nifty? They constantly live up to their Foof names, always getting caught saying something awkwardly funny or making some kind of hilarious spelling error. Always count on a Foof to phail! What is it? April Fool's Day prank, aka The Cullen Cancer Why is it nifty? Seeing everyone with Edward Cullen themed avatars was great and it created a lot of hilarious freak-outs. Also, Shinmaru somehow managed to get himself stuck with the Cullen Cancer as an avatar in chat FOREVER! Member of the Year: Adam for being the creator of theOtaku and generally improving the site. Male Member of the Year: Allamorph; just… Allamorph. Female Member of the Year: AnimeArchAngel; she’s always energetic, having fun and fun to talk to. Staff Member of the Year: SunfallE; she has to deal with so much, it’s crazy. Otaku of the Year: Sangome, ‘cause she’s kinda the resident fangirl (in a good way!). Funniest Member: Ace for being a total goofball and almost always making me laugh when he’s around. Storyteller of the Year: Wayward Warrior for writing his epic theO fanfic. Thread of the Year: This one’s kinda obvious… The Padded Room Party. It has let people communicate and share their random thoughts, in an organized way of course.
17. I rang in the new year by watching an episode of Snapped; also being generally goofy with the family. Does that count? :V
18.
So you can still get your regular Shino fix, amirite? :p
If anyone even still knew or cared about Shino, it'd be 'cause of me being all old and farty on the forums saying, "See, back in MY day, we had a li'l series called .hack!"
19. Each room will have a computer built in to the bed. I hope.
20. I'll take a page from the Japanese and shorten it to an even further point beyond recognition; something like "twete".
21. Got some new games for Christmas, so I've been playing those instead. I'm working on Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney and Tales of Vesperia right now. With the former, I've gotten through the first three cases and am planning on completing the game (or at least starting on the final case) tomorrow. I love the AA games, so much so that I've never been able to pace myself in playing them. It's always, "Beat it within three days of getting it, HURRY!" Anywho, in regards to the latter (ToV), I just got out of Ehmead Hill and UGH was that ever an annoying boss fight. That stupid wolf thing. :/ It really sucks 'cause the way the story had progressed made it impossible for me to go back and leave the area so I could train somewhere BETTER, or even more importantly get restocked on items. But in general the game has been very fun and I'll be playing the heck out of it until school starts.
22. This was kinda the first year I didn't make a "list"; it was interesting. I still ended up with some nice gifts. - Digital photo frame; really awesome random gift - New purty wallet - Collector's Edition of "Fiddler on the Roof"; includes the 2-disc special edition movie DVD, the soundtrack and a songbook. Another great random present. - Little case for the iPhone - The Lion King on DVD! Only problem is that it's not quite here yet. Still really cool and unexpected gift. - Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney. Yesssssss. - And finally... Tales of Vesperia. An incredibly welcome surprise. [/copypasta]
23.
I hate being exhausted to the point where you can't sleep; especially since I can't STAND chamomile tea.
Don't know about the tea, but I hear ya. On a related note, I hate when I'm trying to fall asleep and my brain just won't shut up. Feels like I lose half my night's sleep in the process of silencing it.
24.

People are stupid. No exceptions.
Getting all huffy about things concerning your hobbies is usually pretty dumb and should be avoided.
Don't be afraid to just talk to people, online or offline. Don't be stupid about handing out your personal information though.
I'm sure I could think of more, but it's 2:30 AM so screw it.
25. My family's planning on cooking some kind of ultra yummy food, although I forget exactly what. We're not really party-goers, so it's all happenin' at home. Maybe we'll end up playing some games together, I dunno. As you can see, we don't have much of any plans. :whoops:
