1. Go to Uwajimaya; really cool Japanese/Asian market. Plus there's a bookstore connected to it called Kinokuniya which is real fun for nerds like me.
 2.
I always liked Futurama more anyway. >>;
I've probably seen all the episodes of Futurama ('cept the latest stuff) ten to twenty times over, and I still enjoy it. That's something, man.
 3.
Don't get me wrong, I enjoy a good ribbing at my beliefs from time to time. The big problem is that none of it was funny. It's just Seth MacFarlane using Brian to preach his far-left Atheist views and call the rest of the world loud-mouthed and amoral without a single hint of irony or sarcasm.
And that's why I haven't watched any of the post-cancellation Family Guy. MacFarlane gets away with far too much and instead of enjoying it I just get angry and annoyed. Also, there are a lot of male students here at KAIT (college in Japan, fyi). And I mean A LOT. Spotting a female is like trying to play Where's Waldo.
 4. Big surprise here, but I'm gonna say .hack, and when I say .hack I mean aaaall the .hack anime that have been made so far. SIGN, Roots, Legend of the Twilight, heck even the CG Trilogy movie could be made better. As much as I love the .hack series to death, I realize that SIGN and Roots could've been shorter (13 episodes would've probably been perfect) and LotT... just shouldn't exist or it needs a heavy rewrite. In Trilogy's case, I actually think it should be longer. In fact, it should live up to its name and be a trilogy of movies based off the trilogy of games. Now that would've been frickin' awesome.
 5. I present to you... THIS! [In case you couldn't tell, the bold text should be clicked.]
 6. To help prevent any confusion like this from happening again, I thought I might share this: [link] *pats poor Beth* XD
 7. This will come as a surprise to no one who knows me on theO, but
Damon Gant
from Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney. Thing is,
Gant
is so fun and entertaining in the beginning, and even after you start to learn that
he's a bit of a devious-minded feller
YOU STILL LIKE HIM! (Or at least in my case I did.) All the way towards the end I was still all "hahah oh you" even though I knew
he tried to blame the murder of Neil Marshall on Ema and subsequently used Lana, not to mention totally screwed up Angel Starr and Jake Marshall's lives... oh and he also killed Bruce Goodman.
It doesn't matter, I just like the guy. And his theme. Oh gosh, I had that stuck in my head for such a long time after that case. Another video game villain that I like is
Ovan
from .hack//G.U. It's funny how the creators managed to get it where you like him at first, then after a certain point you're all "omgwtf i haet u" THEN (although this only happened to some) by the end you like him again. It's a funny rollercoaster of love and hate there. Other factors include
him being the former leader of the Twilight Brigade, the guild that I just love to death
and
he has a lot of memorable boss fights. Most of G.U. was pretty darn easy for me, but man that last fight in Redemption was amazingly hard in a good way.
8. I suppose this is heavily influenced by nostalgia, but I must say I always liked Team Rocket from Pokemon. I remember as a kid I always liked seeing them on-screen and having episodes that centered around them. Of course they're not very competent villains at all (except for, like, the first two episodes), but they are (or were) entertaining. Heck, I just love a silly character, so maybe it's as simple as that. Also, I doubt I'll ever forget that cheesy but lovable motto of theirs. And no, I won't torture you right now by reciting it. Instead, I'll link ya! 8D Well... at least, that was the closest I could find. .3.
 9. Name: Marrique Valdez Age: 25 Gender: Female Appearance: [Note: She also tends to dress in either costumes or what a teenager would wear.] Allegiance: Neutral; has no particular political leanings towards either the League supporters or the protesters. However, she is willing to side with anyone who will pay for her services. As of yet, there have been no offers. Status: (Wannabe) Mercenary Bio: When Marrique was very young, her parents suddenly disappeared and were never found again. Afterwards, her grandmother raised her in Lavender Town until she was seventeen. After her grandmother died, she traveled around the Kanto region for a couple years, eventually settling in Fuchsia City. During her travels, she started to pick up a bit on training Pokemon. Personality: Perky but sometimes seems clueless, with a few shining moments of tact and real talent. She tends to rely on others for support. Primary Pokemon: Scyther: The second Pokemon Marrique ever received and the first she caught on her own. It has seen the most battles out of all her Pokemon. Electabuzz: Just recently evolved from an Elekid and still itching for more battles. Spearow: Marrique’s most recent Pokemon; has yet to receive much experience. Ekans (starter): Technically her grandmother’s old pet, making it harder to train the old coot.
 10. I'm very happy with the classes I'll be taking soon enough, because they seem like they'll be fun without being time consuming. Which is good. 'Cause frankly, I do not deal well with stress. ... although, I'm not really an art student, and two of the classes are art-oriented, so I may still experience some troubles there. @_@
 11. You know it's pretty bad when the frickin' President is calling you a jackass. Well done, Kanye. Well done indeed.
 12. Just goes to show you can never mature away stupid. If you have it, it ain't goin' nowhere. But man... it really does make you wonder. It's not like the people in question were still within the get-away-with-stupid-crap age, they're both 44. Seriously, wtf.
 13. I haven't been watching much anime lately, but I finally got around to finishing Code Geass R2 today. Plowed through the last ten episodes, and man I actually cried a bit at the end. I was not expecting that. o_O But, thanks to that, it ended up getting a higher rating in my book. Anything that can make me cry must be pretty good. lol
 14. I find it silly, and kind of hokey to be honest. There are better ways to get people interested in Christianity. Much better ways.
 15. I've finished a few games since I last posted. Tales of the Abyss - Real fun game. The ending was actually a bit underwhelming, if only because I had gotten so attached to the characters and having it end was like... weird or something. Or maybe I felt it wasn't OH EM GEEE enough. I dunno, still a great game and I'm sure I'll replay it someday. Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney + Justice for All - First two games in the AA series heck yes. I don't know why I didn't jump on this crazy train sooner. o_o The games are unbelievably addicting; for people who like solving mysteries (even as basic as watching Law & Order to see whodunnit) this is, like, MADE for you. Srsly. I'm just sad that I don't have the other two games in the series to play. ;3; Aaaand... that's about it. I lost my steam on finishing .hack//Quarantine, so that probably won't happen. Otherwise, today I was just replaying some EBA and Ouendan. Man, I almost forgot how awesome those games are.
 16. Methinks this is a result more of worried/complaining parents than anything. This reminds me of what some school peeps told my mom as she was getting ready to teach there. They asked her if either she or a student volunteer could wipe off the doorknobs and desks before leaving and/or entering. I thought that was a little ridiculous, but then I read this thread and... yeah.
 17. Looking into colleges to transfer into next year is fun but also nerve-wracking at the same time. :animestun
 18. I really want to get this one cookbook on Amazon, since it apparently features recipes like donburi (*salivates*) and other Japanese foods that are served over rice. I want it, I want it! :luv:
 19.
As I've gotten older I've noticed school isn't that bad, and after a while Summer Vacation gets a bit too monotonous.
I'm the same way, although there are still certain aspects of school that I don't look forward to so much. But really, I've been going stir crazy at home, I need to get out and do something. @_@ But I don't start school for another month. And even then, once I do start, I'll be in a different country (Japan). It's gonna be interesting, to say the least.
 20.
You were saying, dear? :animesmil
Pfffffft, whatevs... Although that does further prove how cool Vig Mignogna really is. Seriously, the guy has CRAZY fans and he's still super nice. BUT! I still have my Kaori Nazuka autograph, so nyeeeeeeh.
 21.
got a ton of the DVDs [one of which is autographed by Vic Mignogna himself :3]
Ahem... :3
 22. Today I was reminded of how ridiculous school costs can get. Seriously, what they expect you to buy in order to be "fully prepared" is just... ugh.
 23. Was PETA ever a respectable organization? I can't remember anymore.
 24. For the purposes of this thread, let's assume we've all done some nerdy things. Doesn't matter if it was related to typical nerdities, as long as it was damn nerdy of ya to think or do so then it definitely counts. Therefore, feel free to share the nerdiest thing you've ever done... so far. In my case, I'd have to say it's the fact that I've spent over $2,000 on .hack over the past three years. Yeeeeah. I could make a list about how that all gets distributed, but unless you really want to know you don't need to know. Just know that it is quite nerdy, and honestly amazing of a girl who only gets cash through an allowance (that her parents still kindly allot to her). The runner-up to my nerdiest act would be the fact that I've saved and kept over 4,000 images of one character. And a lot of those are fanarts.
