1. I've stayed up for... 36 hours maybe? I dunno the actual amount, but I once stayed up all night to read manga. Yeah. And I had school and some small presentations to do the next day. I never want to repeat that experience, it felt awful.
Hey, I'm hoping this is on topic, seeing as this thread it about sleep...but who has trouble sleeping away from home? I hear a lot about people who do. But if I want to sleep, I drop like a rock wherever I am.
If I'm sleeping in an actual bed, I tend to be fine. But if it's on the ground and I can feel the frickin' ground/floor, then no I sleep horribly. Plus I've noticed I have strange dreams when I sleep on the ground/floor... stranger than usual, anyway.
 2. After living without internet for the past ten days (OMG NO WAI), this news and the tone of freaking out about it just seems ridiculous to me.
 3. Going on vacation and subsequently returning from it always makes me realize just how much I miss my bed at home. ;_;
 4. Unless I fall asleep before I am able to, I usually shut it off before bed. I've even started unplugging the charger while I'm at it, since my laptop doesn't need it anyway if it's going to be off. Saves some electricity too, I believe. But yeah, other than right before bed, it's usually on. I use my laptop a lot. A little too much even. >_>
 5. ... I'm shocked to hear that my own state allows this kind of crap. I had no idea it was even going on, it just seems natural that you wouldn't let a kid go out and do that. Honestly, if you're not even old enough to buy the damn gun yourself, then you shouldn't be using it. Especially unattended, my gosh. That's just the dumbest crap. If an adult or two is with them, that's better; but... damn.
 6.
That was the parents though. It also said that they were informed that the kid has a mental disorder. So I imagine that, more than anything, contributed to the problem.
Sorry, but I'm not sure what you're referring to with "that was the parents though". If you mean the TV thing, then the article pretty plainly states that the kid was apparently able to do that. I do feel bad for the kid and what state he's in now, and if he started drinking gasoline due to a mental disorder then I can't be completely mean and say it's all his fault.
 7. Here's an interesting bit of news from China. I'll link the article first, just because reading it yourself is so much better than anything I could describe: Boy drank gasoline for a stupid reason So. The kid drank gasoline. To become strong like Optimus Prime and other Transformers. Yeah, wtf. What I find hilarious is how they say the kid was apparently rather smart - smart enough to fix a TV - yet he went and drank gasoline anyway, and because of a TV robot thing to boot. Honestly, he couldn't have been that smart.
 8. Usually any time I've stayed at a hotel, I already had my own shampoo and stuff with me, so no reason to steal the hotels' crap. But, gosh, I guess I have stolen stuff before. Definitely if you count downloading music and anime through the internetz, I've done that. Not as much as others, but that's not a good excuse now is it?
 9. I got to do a full class period of tatehiza at Iaido class awhile ago. Yeah, that's always fun. *headdesks* Guess I kinda need to practice it though. ._.
 10. Thank you, Alla. :3 Now I can actually post those oh-so-convenient videos, just like this:
 11.
That means that if a robber breaks into your house, the corgi will bite the hell out of him. And don't let their small size fool you, corgis WILL GET AIRBORN. They will JUMP in order to better harm their foes and protect their home and loved ones. I recommend corgis fully and completely!
Hehehe, very nice. Reminds me of when I used to watch It Takes a Thief; all the time people thought, "Oh the dog will do something". Guess how that ended? XP Okay then! If I have control over the next dog I own, I will get a corgi. But I won't be geeky and name it Ein... probably.
 12.
I think I'll opt for pie.
I like this option.
 13. I'm enjoying the sounds of "Another One Bites the Dust" by Queen. 'Cause the classics just never die. :3 And in case any of you haven't heard this song, for whatever reason, here's a convenient link for ya: Another One Bites the Dust EDIT: The YouTube tags hate me. =n=
 14. It is a bit sad that it's ending, but... frankly, I'd rather the franchise end on a high note. lol I would've been perfectly content with .hack ending either after R:1 or R:2. So right now, I'm really hoping .hack//LINK doesn't suck. I have no real reason to think so at the moment, since all we have for now is a fifty second trailer to give us a sneak preview on the gameplay. Honestly, if LINK can manage to take the .hack franchise out with a big shebang, I'll be happy. As long as the game is fun, man, that's all I need. XP
 15. Yeah, gotta agree with you, Shin, about romance in anime. For one, Allen really should stay away from any and all women. Second, and more importantly, romantic drama is probably one of the harder elements to pull off well without going off the deep end into poorly done and cheesy. True, the quality of the product varies from person to person based on their own opinions. But... that still doesn't change the fact that you view certain cliches and patterns in anime that just don't go away. lol You look at it and groan. I guess to be fair, at times people kind of want to see cliched dramatic romance like that. I know that happens to me sometimes when I get on shoujo kicks. >>
 16.
Finally, at 5:30 a.m. I went downstairs and started putting away dishes from the dishwasher. If I can't sleep, no one can, dammit.:animeangr
Hahahah! I tend to do the dishes in the very early morning as well, around 4 am. But only because I hate the thought of my parents waking up to a counter full of dirty dishes.
 17.
How long before GU or for that matter .hack//roots was G.U. + serialized in magazines?
G.U.+ was serialized in the .hack//G.U. The World magazine, which began on November 26, 2005. Roots started in Japan on April 6th, 2006 and the first G.U. game was released May 18 the same year. As you can see, the manga started about half a year before the anime or game was even out.
The fact that there will be 30 characters who can be invited to your party is awesome, though the fact that you can only have a party of 2 kinda sucks.
Yeah, that will be pretty cool. What I've heard is that there'll be 100 returning characters from past installments, with 33 available as party members. That's a pretty big window of opportunity; I mean, the chances of your favorite character at least making an appearance is rather high if that information stays true.
 18.
Sweet a .hack game based around the recent manga.
I would actually say the manga is based off the game. XD CC2 has done this before, with the G.U.+ manga and the G.U. games. They started serializing the manga in a magazine before the first game had come out. I think that was done mostly to create hype for the main show, aka the games. And the same is sort of happening now.
Oh yay!! I totally can't wait then. When's it coming out?
We don't know yet. lol There was a rumored release date of December 24th of this year, but there's no credit to that, so honestly it's anyone's guess.
 19. I'm getting the same feeling, chibi. lol Like, I dunno, I feel I just don't have a purpose in my life right now that's worth getting up early enough for. All I do is watch anime or YouTube vids, play video games, and chat with peeps on theOtaku. The only reason I know the days of the week is because of Animal Crossing and my weekly Iaido class. I'm thinking I might start reading a book or something; maybe keep myself on top of my Japanese. Just so it feels like I'm DOING something, ya know?
 20. There is going to be one more .hack game: .hack//LINK for PSP. It's set in 2020, three years after G.U., where The World R:X is coming out. The game centers around Tokio Kuryuu and Saika Amagi, although there will also be TONS of returning characters from past .hack installments. Basically, it's a giant fanservice game. Click here for CC2's site on the game. There's also here, the .hack channel. You can check out what characters they have planned for the game so far.
 21.
"Since when is breast-feeding while drunk a crime?"
This is pretty much my sentiment. Now, I don't think someone should breast-feed while they're drunk, just because it's better to be safe than sorry. But... come on! She could face up to five years in prison for that? That sounds just a tad off the ridiculous end to me. Although there was also this quip:
Authorities insist the woman's decision to breast-feed was not the only factor in her arrest.
Makes me wonder what else it was that made them arrest her then, since it seems in the end she was charged with child neglect which would fit in with the main controversy here.
 22.
Keep your love of cats Miss A. I'm sure Des probably won't prank you.
Though Shino with cat ears saying Nyaa~ would be rather funny
*is shot*
Oh, I will. No amount of teasing can keep me from loving cats. Cat girls, on the other hand... Also,
many Japanese fanarts have beat you to that idea, Rach. :P
23.
Girl, you better hope Des doesn't come a mile within this post... if he does...well...godspeed to ya. :animesmil

That's what I was thinking. I'm not Des and if it's even giving me ideas for pranking... well best of luck Miss A. =P
._________. ... dammit. Well... I used to have a natural love of cats before this all started. Now... I just don't know, man.
 24. The other day I was digging through my dresser drawers, and I found cat ears. Yes, those cat ears; the kind you typically find at anime conventions. My friend bought it for me at Sakura-Con '08. Well, I figured I hadn't worn the thing since said con, so I put 'em on and left them there all day. My main objective was just to get the "wtf" reaction out of as many family members as possible. The best one definitely came from my mom, as detailed below. Mom: Oh hey, [insert talk about a hair appointment here] Me: Okay. Mom: *lingers* ... you have cat ears. Me: Yup! Mom: ... Where'd you get them? Me: A friend bought 'em for me at a con. Mom: Oh... they're kinda cute. *leaves* Note she held the same smile in place the whole conversation.
 25. Well I beat .hack//Outbreak tonight. I'll be moving on to Quarantine, the final volume of the game series, tomorrow (technically today, I suppose) after I've finished up some minor sidequest stuff in Outbreak. I must say... replaying these games has cemented in me the fact that the first generation .hack was indeed better than the second. Both IMOQ and G.U. are loads of fun, but the former just has an all-around better story, honestly. (I still love G.U. to pieces, though.)
